Excessive government bureaucracy and regulation can stifle economic growth by creating barriers for both existing and new industries, as demonstrated by Canada's situation where high taxes and bureaucratic layers have led to reduced services, declining productivity, and businesses choosing to invest elsewhere.

Canada DROWNING in Bureaucracy? Michelle Ferreri Sounds AlarmAdded:
This is a 3-minute interview of the longer interview with Michelle Ferreri.
It's going to be very long and very intricate and we're going to have all the answers, well, a lot of the questions anyway, what's going wrong.
So, please subscribe, become a member, and then you get the longer interview.
But, for the moment, 3 minutes. And, Michelle Ferreri, if you don't know her already, she is a former member of Parliament, conservative, outspoken, smart, and she and I are talking today about the fact that government is just so darn big in Canada. Layer after layer after layer after layer. And, the carnies coming in as a savior now, and if there's a new problem, we'll have a new committee created of bureaucrats to to solve it.
And, it doesn't solve it, it just adds to it because I know that with the legislation built up in Ottawa over the years, we don't have any industry going on or very little industry in Canada because the old industry is pulling out because of government regulations and bureaucrats, and new industry won't come in because there's no guarantees that they can do anything. You're a member of Parliament. When you were there, did you read prospective legislation put forward by bureaucrats?
Did I read the legislation? Like the bills that had to come before us?
>> what they're talking about? Yes. Yes.
And And they would have to come before committee, too. So, when we would have any kind of bill that was before us or we were doing budgets or estimates, the the bureaucrats always had to come and sit beside the minister. And, when the minister didn't want to answer a question, they would turn to the bureaucrats and we'll just a minute, I need you to ask this person. He'd say, "No, no, no, Minister. I asked you."
Um you've you've hit the nail on the head. But, as a former Liberal Party president, my question to you is this: Was bureaucracy and this idea of like government should be the biggest employer in the country? Was that a mindset?
It was a mindset, not with the party, but with parliamentarians in Ottawa.
When I was elected, I went across the coast coast to coast.
>> MPs?
>> Yes. And I I said, "I was elected because I used to go out and say Ottawa does not have monopoly on good judgment or common sense. It needs a party to tell Ottawa these ideas are terrible.
And as you say with Now I was reelected on the same idea, but the party is not like that now. It's been decimated. And just the other day, C-22, a very dangerous bill. They say that they're going to change it now. The public's The public safety minister knows nothing about it, as you say. But the bureaucrats put up there because they want more control. So we have we have government by bureaucrats, it seems. And Carney's doing the same thing. Yes.
And you're saying, "And what's the news?"
>> Yes. But Canadians Why are Canadians oblivious to it? Is it because it's not reported in the mainstream news that's paid for by the government? Because it's normalized. So all of this is what is now normal.
Corruption is normal. Everything has become normal. Uh inefficiency. I mean, you pay what, 47% in taxes. What have you gotten more? Since you start paying more in taxes, is your health care better? Are your social services better?
How about holding CRA? How's that working out for you?
>> Services are reduced. Health is reduced.
Roads are reduced. We see more stupid money. And you were just telling me before this show. You have We spend money on such ridiculous things. Thank you for watching another analysis of the issues that impact Canada. Trudeau is gone. We have to rebuild the country. We need independent analysis. We need debate. We need thought.
