my eBay business in FY27 is going to look very different...Added:
Folks, welcome back to the channel.
Really do appreciate you being here. If you are new here, hey, how you doing? My name's Chris and I'm building a business that suits my lifestyle. And welcome to my warehouse. Uh these episodes we do for two reasons. Number one is um I'm building a business. I'm documenting what that journey looks like. We've been doing this for the last uh 6 years. It's been a crazy journey to get here. We started back uh at home. Then we moved into some storage units. uh we started you know thrifting for for our items that we used to sell or have been selling and we started to move across to just selling predominantly mainly clothing but we do do a few other things. We do have an e-way service business as well and a few other things but uh mainly mainly just clothing is what we we kind of do. So I've been documenting that journey. I'm not here to tell you how to do it. I'm just here to share. It's probably for my own purposes to be honest and just see what we can do and take this to towards the dream that I want to achieve. But the reason number two why I document this journey is actually to inspire, motivate, and encourage you to go after what it is that you want to do. Doesn't have to be eBay, doesn't have to be reselling, doesn't have to be anything like this. Whatever it is that you want to go after, the idea is that if you start from zero, if you go after it, if you put in the reps, if you do the work, you can achieve what you want to achieve. And that's my way of being able to share that uh putting, you know, my um money where my mouth is kind of thing. Um so today is Monday. It's 7:04.
It's been a pretty uh pretty good weekend all things considered. I'll take you through those numbers shortly. Just going to get set up for the team. Um but it's a busy week this week. We've got lots of things coming and going. I've got a customer coming today to pick up some stuff. Uh we've got um washing coming and going. Crazy stuff. But all things considered, things are going pretty well. Uh we have continued to retain our higher uh a uh sorry our higher 90-day total over the weekend which has been great. Um we've still been selling uh an all right amount.
Probably not as much as I would like with the with the eBay core stuff. I mean we did our eBay live over the weekend. I mean over on Friday night as well which was which was really really rewarding. Uh so I'll take you through all that uh in a second actually. um like how much we've got to go out, but I've got a few things that I just got to get set up, prepped to go out. Got to get washing bags ready and things like that. Uh quite a things quite a few things happening at the moment. All in parallel, always always the way. Um so in terms of where we landed, um I think we did about 12 or 13,000 for the weekend. And uh sorry, for the week, sorry, for the week. For the week over the weekend, we've done 124 items. Um, that probably includes 85 from the eBay life. So, we've only really done about 45, but we are on 133,000 631. So, still retaining that. Uh, we have had some particular items sell as well. Still some that haven't been paid for as well.
So, all things considered, things are going pretty good. Um, there's a lot that's got to happen this week in terms of just I really want to focus on trying to clean up some of this non-lo stuff that was done to you a couple of weeks ago. Need to just get on top of all that. Uh, we got, like I said, we've got washing to go out as well. So, I need to, you know, just finalize, prep all this cuz that's coming back today as well. So, lots of moving pieces. I'm going to focus on this right now. Um, cuz a washing lady is going to be here in probably about probably about 25 minutes. So, and then yeah, happy days.
All right, folks. So, I've actually only got 42 items going out that is not part of eBay Live. So, it's actually a pretty quiet weekend. However, from that, we have done a total of for the weekend 3,571.
So, it's not too bad actually. Um, now what I like to do is just kind of break down and I'll show you everything that we've got, but just break down the time, the cycle time of these items. Uh now as I said there was 42 and basically 24 of them. So almost half of them little bit more have gone for less than uh less than 100 days with an average of 30 days cycle time. And then the stuff that's older which we've sold some really old stuff.
It was 18 stuff which had an average of 236 days and that's stuff that's older than 100 days old. So it's a good blend of getting rid of old stuff and stuff that we've just listed in the last, you know, 30 days. Um, so yeah, I'm I'm pretty happy with that.
My washing lady is about to arrive. I'll do that and then we're going to pull out all the stuff. I'll show you what we've got going out and uh yeah, get into the day.
All right, washing has already come back. Already sent some out. We've got another load coming back from our other one. Uh, we have two going in parallel just to hit volume. So, this this watch that came back wasn't a lot. We got a little bit of Northace and a whole bunch of cord pants. These are absolutely beautiful. Um, we've got more of those coming back still as well. So, that's all good now. Um, I'm just waiting for the next washing uh individual to come.
They won't be here till probably what's the time? 8:10. and they probably won't be here till about 9:30 usually, unless I get a message earlier. Um, anyway, I'm going to do a pick, pack, and post now. Let's do it. Okay, quick little update. So, I've just actually had eBay contact me and say they've had a concern with a buyer's account. They had purchased uh three or four items and they're saying do not send them. Um, however, of the four items, only three of them have come up to say do not send.
So, I'm actually just chatting to eBay right now to figure out, you know, what do I need to do? And it also says send by this date, but they're telling me not to send it. So, what do I need to do? I haven't I haven't had it happen before.
Usually, this happens after I've sent it. Um, so I'm just working out what we got to do.
All right, team. All of the washing is now back. Uh, we got more um, as you can see probably just there, more corduroy, more Levi back. We got a whole bunch of Norface as well. and we've sent more of Norface out, uh, which is good because we've actually been selling lots of Norface. So, this is everything that we've got going out today. Uh, we did sell a camera. We sold this little magnetic pulser thing that went pretty quick for 100 bucks. And we got a bundle of iPhones and things. Um, little Walkman as well. In here, we've got we've actually got a good mix of stuff.
Uh, we've sold a lot of button shirts this morning. We've also sold quite a lot of uh like just knits, if you will, like just, you know, standard everyday knits. Uh we've got lots of hoodies, Northace hoodies. We do have a couple of jackets. Well, we got one little denim and a city chic going out. Uh we got a couple of puffers, Northace. We've been selling lots of long pants as well. Um jeans, denim, lot of polo. Uh we did sell a couple of jerseys as well. um some shorts, couple of shorts. Uh we've got some skirts and dresses, a bit of everything and some shoes. So, a good variety of different stuff, but main stuff is still that trend towards cooler weather. Um so, I'm going to get this all packed up. Um we did sell the camera, too. And yeah, get into it.
All right, Tim. It's been a few hours.
It's been actually a very, very, very, very busy morning. Uh we did have some postage issues with um the tool star ship it. It went down and I wasn't able to post review, but I've had my one of my um one of my best customers here.
He's been here for the last few hours.
Um well, catching up as well. He'd been away in Japan and places, but uh we caught up and he came and did a big pick as well. Um and he he did pay up. He spent over $1,000. Uh super grateful for this. Uh so I'm just quickly taking a break cuz it's been go go go. Um I have I'm about to start all the eBay live stuff that I haven't done yet. Um but I finished all the other postage now. It's now one o'clock and um I've got to send him an invoice and just going to quickly put those details in. But it's been a pretty good start to the morning, start to the week. Another thing that I got to do this week that I forgot to mention was I got to do my bass, my quarterly bass as well. So lots of moving pieces.
Um he did pay up. I'm very grateful. I'm going to get this in the in the tool and then um quick little breather and then start packing the eBay live orders.
All right, so we're now doing the eBay live stuff. So, we got all of this. This one went for $130, which actually might have been $15. I can't remember. So, let's get cracking. A little bit behind schedule today, but it's all worth it.
All right, team. It is now 330. Uh everything is done. Postage is done.
It's been a day. Like we've we've done some numbers today. Uh we're sitting on 2,400.
Um we sold another camera, which is good. I'm exhausted. It's been been a big one.
Uh I'm just going to sit down and I've got to put in the details from the e-waste from last week. I forgot to send it Friday. So, I'm doing that right now.
Uh we basically send in how much weight came in, how much weight we're keeping, how much weight's going back. Uh, and then I'll probably just spend some time and do a little bit of admin tinkering and um just see what else is happening this week. I think I got some meetings this week and just make sure the calendar is all up to date. Um, but yeah, that's that's kind of me today.
Just on the tools working with the uh client, which is well worth it. And we also got our box ready for our stock on Wednesday. So, if I get a chance, I might even pull that out and get that ready. All right team, that is a wrap. I completely forgot to record and I left the GoPro sitting at my desk in my office. So, I'm just going to quickly do this. So, busy day today. Really, really happy with where we've landed. We've actually landed on 135,000. We'll probably drop back down again, but big sales going out today with a wholesale lot and then uh the cameras. Super super grateful for all the opportunity right now. I've been chatting with my team and a few others. Um just some of my colleagues in the ecosystem, I guess.
um about what's FY27 looking like and we're really starting to shape what that looks like in terms of how the stock's going to be, what the stock will look like, even even, you know, maybe pulling back a little bit on how much we're putting onto e eBay core and does it mean we're ramping up more on eBay live?
So, a lot of things changing and at play at the moment, but you know me, I'll take you along for the ride. The thing I love about all of this is we've been able to prove how we can adapt and change so quickly. Like literally, literally 3 months ago, things were not looking good. I was really in doubt with a lot of things. But now, you know, we've we've we've added on some new things to our business with the cameras and a few other bits and bobs. And you know, now we're we're striving really really well to um striving. No, we're thriving very very well with the eBay live stuff as well.
And anyway, I've got a call with that supplier tonight. It it's it's just I'm just very happy. But I'm not getting complacent. You can't let your you can't let your guard down with these things.
You got to keep charging on.
Encouragement to everyone that's feeling it. Be be bold. Be brave to try something new. Test something else. um bring in a new category uh adjacent category or something that makes sense.
Uh because if you test new things, you know, the worst option is it doesn't work, but the best option is it works and you're better off. So anyway, I'll see you tomorrow in the morning. Ciao.
And just like that, it was Tuesday. Hope you're doing well, folks. Um it is very cold this morning. Nice and nippy. A new day. Uh yesterday we ended up doing just over $3,000 which super grateful. Uh it's nice little uh nice little run there. Oh, it's cold. Um this today we've we've got lots of things happening today. I've actually got um a couple of meetings today uh that I will be attending to. We're also going to be doing another round of stock take. Um so I've spoken about this before. try and, you know, just review stock on a quarterly basis and um we're going to be doing a consolidation again shortly. So, we kind of leverage the two um two efforts at once.
So, we'll be starting with some of that today.
And the other thing that will be happening today is well continue to do photos, listings. I've already done my listings for the day. I've got to do my BAS and quarterly tax statement, etc., etc. So, I'll be working on that a little bit. Yeah, I think that's the main thing. Uh there was something else I got to Yeah, just a little bit of admin. Still got to start to do stuff for as as we transfer across to a company as well. So, few bits and bobs to be done. Uh the team are both in.
I've got two photographers in today, which is great. And uh we've actually, surprisingly, we've got 20 orders to go out. Um so, we've got about $824 worth.
Uh so, we did have a bit of a a bull run last night. um consider compared to some of the other nights we've been having.
Uh we are on 134,768.
As I said, 20 items go out. I've got to send out a few invoices as well. That's the other thing I got to do. Uh just for the people that have already paid for stuff yesterday, etc., etc. Um so, little bit of an admin kind of morning.
Um I might do a little bit of that now while it's quiet before the team gets in and then um yeah, we'll hop to it.
All right. I've got my washing lady also coming back and we're doing another switch over that's happening right now.
I need to charge you. But one thing I forgot to mention is last night I had a call with my supplier for our eBay live stuff. Um, which went really well. So, there's some exciting things coming.
More on this as it progresses. Uh, but yeah, I went through everything last night for Wednesday's show and it's looking pretty fresh. Anyway, I'll show you that a little bit later. Uh, we've got some pretty cool jerseys. We've got some Northace. Whole bunch of stuff.
Anyway, let's get into the day.
All right. So, we just got all of this Northace back. super happy with this.
Uh, and we've almost finished all the Levis's and all of the corduroy that came back as well. Um, so we're getting through stuff super quick. And to be frank, we haven't tested this process for a long time because we've just had stock sitting here ready to go. Uh, so I'm actually really excited about this because this is the way it's meant to be. Getting through things super quick, be able to turn it around. Um, and because we're testing this, I'm also then starting to really consider how we're going to restructure for FY27. Um, and what that looks like. So, lots of lots of things happening and changing.
Uh, but always for the better. Um, and there's a whole bunch of stuff here as well. I'm going to start doing a pick, pack, and post before the team get in.
Uh, and then, yeah, we've got to start stock today. So usually what we do is with stock take is we do the consolidation but we also go through some of the older stuff and just as we rather than so for instance this one and maybe this one we will go through and make sure that none of it's fallen off you know unlisted etc etc. We also make the decision is it stuff that we should just liquidate stuff that we should put on sales stuff that we should write off etc etc and then everything else we just consolidate. So, I'm going to do at least this one. Uh, well, I'll have my team member helping with that.
Um, and yeah, then we make up lots around, you know, okay, did this stuff just fall off? Why hasn't it sold? Is it just priced wrong? Is it not listed correctly? Etc., etc., all those different things.
All right, so not crazy amounts going out, but I did say there's 20 items. So, we've sold quite a few pairs of pants and sweatshirts. Do have some toys going out. Um yeah, lots of Northace, fair bit of buttonup shirts as well, but lots of hoodies. We did sell um nice little Northace jacket here and nice little Zara jacket as well. So um good good blend of different um things and again a good blend of also new versus old like how long it's been listed for. So we've got stuff that's been sitting around since jeez early days.
We're talking 180 days. Actually, not that bad. And then we got stuff that's only been in the sit for like a day. So, the average cycle time for this stuff, and I I just track this through my sheet, guys. Um the average cycle time for this stuff is 77 days, and the stuff that's under 100 days is average of 35 days. So, I'm happy with that. Um let's uh let's pack it away.
All right, team postage is all done. Now we're going to start doing I've got a meeting in about an hour and a half, so I'm going to start doing some stock tech. Um just going through and working out what's the best way to do this cuz some of this we will keep. Um but like I said, we have to go through check if it's listed, has it become unlisted, why hasn't it sold, and then make a decision on what we do with it. So the aim is to do at least one bay. We might do two bays. Um we'll see.
All righty. Um, doing the stock tank and finding there's been quite a few that have actually not been listed. Um, there's quite a lot of women's in here that has just been sitting for a while.
So, that's just going to go into a women's show. And then there's a whole bunch of men's which will probably some of it we're wholesaling out. We got to buy for some stuff. Um, and the rest will probably just make up a bit of a curated show um just to keep it moving.
And we're about halfway at the moment.
All right team, it's all been happening.
We finished the stock tank. Um, a big chunk has come out. Some of it's going to eBay Live. Some of it's been wholesaliled out. Um, and yeah, there's some pretty pretty cool stuff in here.
So, I think this is going to do well on eBay Live. Uh, and then we've got 75 shirts going out for uh, wholesale, which hopefully we can get that deal done today. Also had a delivery come through uh, unexpectedly, but hey, nice surprises just of a whole bunch of old tech and and e-waste. Um, so just some bits and bobs here. Uh, so yeah, that was a nice little surprise. I got a couple of cameras coming here this afternoon as well. I think now my priority is I'm probably going to just do some admin. We do need to do one more postage before the end of the day. Um, this show's already I've done the videoing for it. Some really cool stuff in this. I'm super excited for this show. This bibong is incredible. Folks, if you're not jumping on to eBay Live and, you know, getting a chance to get yourself some goodies, this is a reminder because this stuff is absolute fire. There is so much good stuff here.
We've got amazing hats, just so much fun. Um, and there's plenty more to come.
All right, team. That is a wrap. It is now the end of the day. It's been one of those days of go. So, we did sell all of those shirts that's going out to a customer that will get sent out Friday.
Um, we've just been prepping. Well, sorry, not yet, but we will start prepping. So, a lot of this is women's.
So, this we will start to prep for our Hour of Power show on Thursday. Um, and then I got a bit of men's mix that will go into some of the other shows. And then we've got more women's clothing in here, which we will start to pull out over the next couple of weeks and do.
Um, also just had two cameras dropped off, which I'm going to do in the morning. Um, other than that, that's that's a wrap. And we've actually gotten through a lot of the clothing already that you guys would have seen this morning. Like, we're we're pushing through hard. So, that big stack of North Face is already half and all of this is all done. So, yeah, we're we're moving quick, which is good. Anyway, I'll see you in the morning, folks. Ciao.
And just like that, it was Wednesday.
What's going on, folks? Um, all right.
So, straight into it. Um today we're going to be starting the consolidation in here. Uh we're going to be doing a little bit of prep work for uh some of the shows coming up as well. Like that's what we're using this stuff for. Um I've got a big got two big exercises that I have to do today. I am um I still got to do my bass statement, but that that's it is what it is. Um, but the other thing that I'm doing is spending a lot of time doing planning for next year. And when I say next year, I mean FY27.
Uh, and some of that is also leading to some of the decisions I'm making for the next two months, like for this month and sorry, for the end of May and June. Um cuz there's some decisions I can make is like do I just try and liquidate some stock, get ourselves in a better position for the start of the FY27 or do we just kind of play it safe and not really do anything different? So, you know, just looking at some of those different levers, um, you know, there's a a bit of stock that's become stagnant that hasn't really sold, and it's kind of like, well, you know, do I just try and liquidate that and just get the cash back in the bank, which works better for us, you know, moving forward versus, you know, try and get top dollar for it and wait out on it. Um, so just weighing up some of those things and you know I'm actually pretty happy at this point going into a new year just with you know all the challenges that we've had this year um well in the last 6 months uh you know if it means I'm taking a loss again for another month or something it might mean the case if I've got more money in the bank and that's that's more of a business strategic decision in the sense that you know 4 months ago you know we nearly weren't even going to be able to pay for the staff etc like that because we just had such a big dip with everything that was going on. Um, and now that we've started to crawl that back, we're obviously still, you know, catching up with some of those things.
Um, and yeah, it puts me in a position where I need to make some of those tough decisions and that that's my job. Like that's I'm the boss. I have to do that.
So yeah, just working through some of those. I got to run some calculations today. spend some time just really being attentive to it and not just rushing that kind of stuff because it is it is super important.
Uh so yeah, that's that's me. Um and I know there's probably going to be actually we've had some interesting comments already. I know there's going to be some people that will think, you know, that's just, you know, silly. Why would I take a loss and things like that? It's like, well, because of our circumstance of where the business is based on the leadup to how everything happened. Um, and when I say if if you're new here and have no idea what I'm talking about was we we basically dropped down about $30 $40,000 in turnover during a a period of time just when the market kind of just went really dead and uh we also had a few other contract changes and things like that. So, there was a few unexpected surprises that happened uh you know this year and we're still playing a little bit of uh catch up and fix on that. So, you know that that's part of the business. Um but anyway, that's that. Uh I've got um what else?
We got washing coming back today. Got bins getting picked up. Uh yeah, um I'm just going to get everything set up. In terms of how we're going for overnight, like it did actually drop down. We've we've had a lot of sales, but so many tire kickers just not paying um you know, I've got I've probably got about I don't know $1,400 in unpaid um orders at the moment, which is starting to get very frustrating. Uh and where we at? So, we're still on 134,463.
We've only got seven orders to go out.
Uh so, not super busy, but we do have our eBay live tonight, so I'm super excited for that. Um, all right. Let's get set up.
All right. I've just spent a good uh hour just doing some brainstorming and number crunching, just looking at looking at the numbers. Uh, but no, look, it's it's a serious thing. Like, I do need to make some tough decisions and decide where we'll land. And a lot of people probably won't understand all this or you know like I I don't need to justify myself to people but um if if someone was genuinely interested in you know how I got here all the details behind it and um I guess you know my plan forward on that. I would be happy to probably have a a a proper conversation about it like a serious conversation. Uh, but there's a lot of tire kickers, a lot of nuffies, a lot of people that really just don't have any understanding of running a business. Um, and the challenges, the pressures when I talk about running a business, having staff, having overheads and all those different things. Um, not to diminish someone that runs a business as a solo, that I totally get that and respect that. Uh, but they're they're two different things, right? Um, anyway, so I've been running numbers on that. Uh, I'm going to do the postage now and then I've got two cameras that I got to assess. Uh I think I think washing's coming back as well. Uh so that's good.
Uh the team will probably be in around 8:30 9:00. Um yeah, let's uh let's pick pack and post. Let me show you what we've got going out.
All right, so what do we have going out?
We've just got this whole box right here. I'm going to read out a few things. We have actually sold uh a pleated skirt. We've sold We've been selling quite a lot of um like knits, a lot of H&M knits as well. Just bread and butters. They're going for about 25 35 bucks. Uh we did sell some Patagonia um pants. Uh a nice little Juicy Gout uh uh hoodie. Uh we did sell a big puffer which is this one here. This is Marmmont. Um we've been selling some of the older items which is pretty good. Uh ironically yesterday we did our big stock tag all the way around our 10,000 and 11,000 SKs. like we we just picked a range and there was uh there was probably like maybe 12 Wrangler longer sleeve shirts and I'm like, you know what, I'm going to keep these up. They haven't sold for like forever. Like I I nearly was just going to take them and, you know, wholesale them or whatever.
Anyway, one of them sold. We haven't even I didn't even put like a sale on it or anything. It's just It's just weird.
Just coincidence. Like I threaten it threatened to remove it and it sells.
Um, more H&M and a little bit of Levis's pullover sweatshirt. So, just again lots of winter wear. Um, I'm not sure why yesterday was so quiet. We We did have a bit of a run on jackets the other day, but now it's kind of gone quiet again. I need to do a proper stock take of all these as well. Um, I I said that ages ago and we never actually did it. So, it's interesting to see the stock that falls off. Like, we did find I think I said it yesterday. We found probably there was 75 shirts that weren't listed that I wholesaliled out to someone and then there was probably another 15. So probably about 100 items going. Yeah, it's it's it's just Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know if it was my own fault because I we you know when we've done an end and sell similar or something or maybe they just fallen off over time, but hey, it is what it is. Um all right, let's get packing. All right, postage is done.
We've now got two cameras here that I've got to uh open up. Um but they might actually be lenses. So I'm going to open these up. It's got people's details on it and stuff. Open them up and I'll take you through what we got. All right. So first camera is a Sony A77. Um pretty old. Nothing nothing crazy with these ones. Um the person submitted it saying that it's in good condition. Um which you know like the camera itself it ain't too bad. But I got to check the shutter count, which I'm going to do in a moment. But they it's literally just the camera. There's no battery, no charger, nothing, which is obviously key essential to a complete device, even a battery. Um, so we're going to we're going to say this is not meeting the uh the definition of what we have as good. Uh, and we'll be offering a lower amount. I'll probably offer, honestly, I don't want to pay any more than 60 bucks on this. Um, but yeah, I'm going to go check the shutter count. We'll see what that's like. After that, we'll get into the next one. But yeah, I mean, not too bad. All right, team. This last lens here that we've just done, this one should go for it's a Sony E1018.
We should be able to get 400 bucks for this. Maybe maybe a bit less, 300, but uh yeah, it's a pretty good deal. So, we'll make an offer about 150 bucks on it. Fair price. It's in It's actually in pretty good condition, all things considered.
Um, yeah.
All right, team. So, it's back back to an exciting roll for me at the moment.
I'm just going to be working on the dollar dues and doing my best statement for the last quarter. Um, so I'm going to spend time get this done because I've been putting it off. So, yeah. Anyway, I'll get this done. Um, Dion's in he's doing consolidation already.
Photographers doing photos. Uh, we got to do a little bit of prep work for tomorrow's show as well. But priority number one for me is get this bass done.
All right, bass statement is done. Super is paid for my team. Yeah, I can get back to doing some actual work. It's good to get that off the chest. Um, still had a couple of days to get it done, but yeah, not worth risking. Um, all right, let's charge on.
All right, team. It has been a bit we've actually just got confirmation that both the cameras are good to be sold. So, I did photos of those. I've got one more to do. Actually, we did have another delivery of some more tech. Not much.
Uh, just a little bit that came on top of the stuff from yesterday. So, not going to probably get to go through that today. I might actually get a couple of quick wins done there. Uh, I've been setting up the women's show for tomorrow. So, we just made a whole rack up. Um, and then we've got a whole bunch of flatlays ready to go. These are all uh vintage dresses and skirts. Actually, I think these are all just skirts. Uh and then we do have some shoes that will be going into that show as well. Uh we have started the consolidation. This this bay is all been done. Um just got a sale and which is pretty cool. This is looking nice. And then we've also got almost probably got all of this just to be done. So Dion's done all this. He's now finished up for the day, but we'll probably get this done tomorrow. Um not not actually going to probably make that much space at the moment. We go around here. One thing that I am going to have to do is do another little clearance sale of all this stuff here cuz down here stuff is just not selling. It's just just been sitting for ages. Um so probably just start liquidating it.
Whole lot of it's just brick and just bits and bobs and anyway we'll go through I'll spend a bit of time doing that. Uh probably for uh June. Um yeah, it's now an hour out till just just less than an hour out till the show. Uh, so right now I'm just doing some quick wins. I did a photo of a few other things. Do this other camera and I will then, yeah, I've still got to just set up the show, make sure all the boxes are in here, ready to go. I'll do the final post cuz my uh photographer is going to take the post today. And yeah, that's uh then we'll be getting straight into the show. So, not much time left.
All right, team. We are now all ready to go live. Should be a lot of fun. Lots of hats. Let's see if we can get through everything. Uh we should be going for another $1,000 again today. Uh we've actually had a pretty good day so far.
I've just had another three sales come through. Uh we're sitting already on $1,5 for today. Uh it's kind of picked up, which is really good. Uh so hopefully this get us over to the $2,000 mark today. Uh which gets us really well under in terms of where I want to be landing for this week. Uh at the moment we're on track to probably do about $12,000 this week. Uh, that's really hopefully what it can be. But, uh, sorry, that's hopefully where it will be. Um, and of course just keep trying to sell as much high-end stuff as possible cuz we got a little bit of uh, expenses to make up for. But yeah, pretty happy with this. Wish us luck.
I'll take you through everything at the end. Let's go. All right, team. We just finished. That was our best show ever.
Uh, we've done over $1,600. We had one item go for $250, which was just incredible. Uh, really great. really appreciate everyone that showed up. Um, we're now on 137,391, so we're going up. Um, appreciate everyone. Um, I've got to get out of here. I'll take you through all the details tomorrow. Obviously, we got to pack and send it all. Surprisingly, what goes high, what goes low is very, very interesting. Um, but it was a whole lot of fun. Anyway team, that's it from me.
I will see you tomorrow. Ciao. And folks, just like that, it was Thursday.
The day is just flying by. All right, so I've got a washing about to arrive. I'm going to quickly uh just get a table down there. Um last night's show we ended up doing about $1,800 after the postage as well, which was pretty cool. Uh very very grateful. It just h it just blows my mind to be able to achieve that. And hopefully this is just the start of what we're going to be able to achieve. Um some crazy crazy deals for some people.
Um everyone's happy though, so that's good. Um, today I will have Dion in. He'll continue to do uh consolidation. I believe I've got a women's show at 1:00. Um, as you can see, here's all the boxes that we've been pulling out. Uh, things are a little bit chaotic in here again, but you know, same old, same old. Anyway, let me get set up and I'll take you through uh all the sales as well because we've had a bit of a bull run in terms of more sales coming through. So very happy where things are at at the moment and um yeah, let's charge on.
>> All right, team. So last night um other than the uh the live, we actually had a pretty good uh run in terms of other sales. Uh we are running a bit of a coupon sale as well.
Excuse me. Sorry, not a coupon sale, a um markdown sale. I've just got a whole bunch of 30% off on probably 2,000 items. We do that every month just to rotate stock. Um I haven't been as aggressive this month because, you know, we're hitting our our numbers and why why discount more than you need to. Um but yeah, no, it was it was a pretty good pretty good day all around. Uh yesterday we ended up doing about $3,300.
Now, in terms of sales to go out, this includes obviously eBay Live.
We have about 97 orders. Uh, but 75 of those are eBay Live. So, yeah, we we're it's a good good chunk. Um, just over Yeah. 20, what is it? 25 22 uh items to send out. Uh, so we've got everything from jackets to we've got e-way stuff.
We've got someone bought a bundle of t-shirts. We've got, yeah, quite a good mix of things. Uh, so we're going to get Oh, we've got shoes. We've got a whole bunch of stuff. So, we're going to get on to this pretty quick. Just waiting for the washing to arrive. I've already done my listings for the day. Uh, we did whole bunch of Northace.
Always tired in the morning. whole bunch of Northace and we did a whole bunch of um flannel shirts as well this morning for listings. So yeah, happy days. Uh I'm going to get into the day and then I'll start doing a pickpack and post and I'll take you through everything that we've got. Uh yeah, hope things are going well for you guys.
All right, washing is back, folks. And now we got to flat lay all this. So let's do that. Boom. And done. So, all of the stuff that we got last week, all of the Northace, all of the um we got some corduroy, we got some jeans, we got a whole bunch of different stuff that's now all been washed and processed. Um all of this will be up on eBay by middle of next week, which means we're able to process 200 kilos pretty quickly, actually. Actually, we're we would have done it quicker if we weren't consolidating. So, um a week and a half all done and dusted. So that that's what I love about the well the team more so is you know as we photo it gets you know processed and listed online and then basically we can have the stuff up and ready to go on the same day almost. Um and the team's done a really good job in with getting those processes right and things like that.
But, you know, now that I think about all of this, it's like, okay, as we start to now change into what the new financial year is going to look like and how we plan our attempt forward to, uh, you know, take on commerce. Um, what I mean by that is like, you know, doing more live as well as normal stuff. Uh, it's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. Like all these jackets, they're longtail jackets. They sit through. But, you know, is is there a is there a world in which we just run all these on live and we get just as much money? I don't know. Uh, but if that opportunity comes alive, I'm probably going to take it. Uh, all right. So, that's all done. I'm going to start I've already started picking, but I'm going to finish picking and then we'll start doing all the packing.
All right. So, I've now pulled everything out. We just had another two orders come through. Um, we've got lots of stuff going out. Um, quite a bit of tech stuff, too, which is pretty cool. Uh, but I'll just kind of read out a few things for you so you get an idea.
Uh, we've got a lot of corduroy jeans going out. We've already sold some of the ones that we listed the other day.
Um, other jeans. We got jackets. We've got some um, sweater jumpers, knit jumpers, we've got a skirt, we've got a polo, we got someone buying a whole bunch of t-shirts. Uh, and then obviously we've got all the eBay lifestyle we do later. We had a couple of multi-quantity purchases, some more jeans, some more Northace, um some New Balance stuff, and a pair of shoes as well, which is at the bottom of this. So, pretty good.
All right, team. Um, core postage is done. Now, it's time to start doing on to the eBay Live stuff. So, I'm going to start with all the quick wins first, all the little ones, and then we'll move into the big orders after that. So, let's get it done. It's only 9:30, so it's not too bad. All right, eBay Live stuff is all done. Um, now we've got a whole bunch of other orders that have come through. We are absolutely just flying today. Um, it's a really it's a really good day.
I'm not going to complain. We still got to do our um our live at lunchtime. Uh, we're doing we're doing really good today. We're sitting on we're already sitting on 2,000 bucks. So, very grateful for that. Um, all right. I'm going to quickly just upload the final postage cost for um my client uh my partner with eBay Live. I'll take you through those details, too. And then um yeah, we'll do some more post. All right, team. I think we're all ready for the women's show. Um it's about we're about to go live in about 30 minutes.
Just getting everything finalized. So, we've got all of this. Uh we do have a penny drop Northace new of tags. Uh nice little waffle knit. Uh we've got some shoes and we've got excess here which is like pants and skirts and dresses and stuff. So should be a lot of fun. Uh we've also got this little status anxiety um little purse as well which we'll probably be doing. So should be a good little sesh going for about an hour or so. See how the day goes and uh yeah we'll go from there.
All right team we just finished. Um, look, it wasn't anything crazy, but for 1 hour, we've done about We've done $292 in sales. Uh, which is probably going to be about $320, $330 in total revenue.
Uh, which I'm happy with. We we had a quite a few things that we passed on.
Um, but you know, we we got through can't see how many items yet. I'll pull all that data out shortly. Um, and I've still got to take you through the other data from the show yesterday, but we've sold all of this here and then all of those over there. So, people got some pretty good deals, good bargains.
Surprisingly, what was really popular was skirts. Um, and of course, probably winter jackets. So, uh, good variety.
We're going to do this again every every Thursday 1:00 p.m. just do bunch of women's stuff. Just work our way through it. We're also going to be setting up a dedicated shoe show. We've got a lot of shoes to do. Yeah, it was good. Good fun. I'm enjoying this. It's a lot. I mean, for instance, 1 hour, $200. Um, obviously that's not in our bank, you know, after fees and post and all that.
We'll probably get 150 bucks back into our post. But sorry, it was $29, so we probably will get $200 back in the bank.
Um, so very happy with this. I got to go do some more postage and just finalize all this.
All right, team. So, with that one, um, it was actually $420. I've just pulled it all out. And now, obviously, there's there's a mixture of different um, sources in this. Some of it's from our stock tag. Some of it's from um, excess stock from someone else that I sell from. Uh there was one of my consignees, you know, the whole bunch. So in terms of profit on this one, it probably won't be as much. Uh because a lot of it's going to be split, but should walk away for one hour's worth of work. I will walk away. We're probably around $50 to $75 by the time I've done all the splitting.
And some of that was stock, take stock, so it's just stuff that's been sitting there that we had the other day. We did.
Um some of it we made money on, some of it we lost money on. But again, get the money back in the bank. That's what I want. Um, now I'll probably profit 50, but I'll probably get about $200 back in my bank account uh for that. So, very happy with that. And yeah, so for the other show yesterday, um, I've already done all the numbers on that, uh, we did $1,86 after fees and postage. Uh, I'll be splitting with my I'll be splitting with my um partner $754 each. Just incredible for 2 hours work. It's incredible. Of course, I've done postage today and things like that, but so good. This is just gamechanging.
Absolutely gamechanging. And even better is it's really becoming a key component that's helping us grow quickly. Like we're very close to hitting 140,000 90day total now. Like it's just Anyway, I've got to start prepping for the next show.
All right, next action is I just got these two deliveries here. Two big boxes for the stock for tomorrow show. I've got to go through them and build up one show. Uh, and then we can use the other stock for Wednesday shows next week. So, got to get this done so I can do some filming. Um, never a dull day, guys.
Just go go go.
I just got to pack this up. All right.
Wish me luck. All right. So, I've just actually quickly just nicked out my mate um found something and I messaged him and I reached out to him. Did he get it?
He didn't get it. He told me it's probably still there from this morning.
So, I quickly dropped everything. went there and I got the coolest jacket. Best childhood memory ever.
And I just I just can't believe to find this vintage made in Australia hyperactive a total annihilation suede jacket. It's an extra large. It actually probably too big for it is too big for me, but it's the coolest thing.
This is like childhood memories because I grew up playing this game. This jacket's way too big for me, but it is the coolest thing ever. So, just one for the personal. So, thanks, mate. Much appreciated. Shout out to you. Um I don't know if he wants me to tag him, so I won't. Anyway, um yeah, so now I'm quickly back. I've got to finish the postage that has to go out today and uh then we got to get out of here. Got to go pick Cara up from the train. So, we sold another camera lens. Um finished setting up all that. But I've got to do my video still. But hey, you do what you got to do to get the stuff that you want. Right. So, this is all done. It's going to be a mad rush now. I'll check in before we finish.
All right. All done. What a day. I am I am absolutely just riding high at the moment. Everything is finally in a position where I'm very, very satisfactory. However, um we still got a long way between now and the end of the financial year to clean up things, get things right. We're still rebuilding from all the problems we had a couple of months ago. And but you know, with the last couple of days, it's just been a really good reminder that um we've got this Oh, I just found another bag of um of washing. I haven't unpacked. I'm going to do that quickly. Anyway, uh Dion did finish the um he did finish the consolidation. We didn't consolidate as much cuz honestly, we have been selling more on eBay Live than we have in the actual store. So, uh, interesting times, I tell you. Everything seems just weird at the moment. Uh, but I love seeing when this has happened because it just looks so clean, so beautiful. Anyway, team, I'm going to pack the car and get out of here. I got to go pick up Carla.
So, I'll be back here again in the morning. Do it all again. We got another show tomorrow. We got some pretty cool stuff happening. Got to dry as a bone.
Um, like it's just just wild the opportunity. Anyway, as you can probably tell, I'm very happy. Um, I will see you guys in the morning. Ciao.
All right, team. We're back at it. It is Friday. Um, it is very cold in here this morning. Um, look at this. I just love this. This never gets old.
Anyway, um, hope you're doing well. Last day of the week. Um, well, for work week anyway. Uh, we've got lots to be done like usual. Uh, so my staff have changed their days around. Uh, so I don't have I've only got Dion in on Fridays. the person that used to work half day Fridays, now they're now doing full day um full day Tuesdays.
Uh so yeah. Um so today it's just myself and D, which is all good. Um we will probably get a good chunk he will get a good chunk of this done. I I need to obviously do postage. I've still got little bit of prep and setup work that I need to do for the live. Um I'm actually going to start to see if I can um yeah, just set up some different streaming abilities. so we can uh save the streams as well. So, I need a little do little tinkering on that. The other thing I really want to do today, I don't know if I'm going to get to it, but I need to start getting through this um eway stuff that I got that came through. So, see if I can start to do a big chunk of that. Still need to do a clean up here. I'm thinking next Tuesday I'm going to do a bit of a cleaning be just kind of like All right. Sorry, folks. Got interrupted. Had a customer rock up. One of my consignees. He was catching up.
We're actually doing some of his stuff on the uh one of the eBay lives. So u he was just passing by before work. Scared the crap out of me though because anyway just after that other day when someone walked into the warehouse. Um anyway, so he's uh he's just purchased a couple of things as well for himself. Uh what was I saying? So yeah, I want to try and get through all of this. I'm thinking Tuesday we might do a bit of a working be cleanup. I also just got permission to run a lot of his stuff cuz they'll be too concerned. Stuff that's been sitting for a while. We're going to just run it as auctions on um Sunday night. Not not on eBay live or anything, but just just moving old stock just to clear out this.
So, we're going to start to do that. Um so, I'm going to set that up today. I'm going to go do some photos. Uh I'm sorry, photos. I'm going to go do some listings. In terms of where we landed, last night was a huge bull run. We actually we actually did get to 140,000 90-day total. It's dropped down now, but we're on 139,768.
Uh, and we got 60 orders to go out. 40 of those are eBay Live. Uh, so we've got 20 orders to go out from just last night. So, things have really picked up.
We're getting a little bit more of a uh uptick, which is great. And yeah, anyway, I want to talk about a few things. So, I'm just going to get set up and we'll get into it. All right. So, I wanted to address a conversation or a comment that has popped up. Actually, it was a comment from someone that just curious versus then it led into more people trying to digging in and giving their opinions, which everyone's entitled to their opinion. What they're not entitled to is telling me how to run my business. Uh, so Benny Buu, he asked um, you know, would it make more sense to simply just buy the stock that I've been doing on eBay Live from my supplier rather than consign it. Seems you're giving a stack of your margin to them all at the right price, I guess. Um, and look, I I said this is actually a very fair point. Um, but I the way I work through it is because they're a wholesaler, they get stock super cheap, right? Which is pretty good, but they've got to make money as well, right? Um, and like all good uh wholesalers, it's not as simple as like, yeah, just buy more and they make it cheaper. Like I've got one supplier, for instance, wholesaler that I said, "Hey, look, what if I spend $20,000 of you? Can you do things cheap?" He said, "Well, we'll know because he obviously has a bottom price and he needs to make retain a margin as well." and um you know, I've got to respect that thing. So, I I basically came back and said, "Look, it it it works out roughly if if when we sell, let's say we sell $1,000 worth um on average, if I do the consignment versus if I was to buy it from them, it works out to be about $150 difference um in payouts. um which I'm okay with because the individual is getting the stock, got the unlimited amount of stock and able to do it. Now, that aside, I actually am buying from this person. Well, I haven't actually started to, but for the new financial, we're going to be buying from them for our core store, not for eBay Live. Um so, we do buy stock obviously to sell.
Uh but for the eBay Live, we're doing that as a as a different model simply because it works better for what we're trying to achieve. And that that's how I explained it, right? Um, and after that I did have another comment come through from an individual um, where they started to get a bit more saying, you know, probably look, they're entitled to the opinion, but it got a little bit rude in terms of like saying, "Oh, so you don't run or own your own business because I'm not paying for my stock. I'm doing someone else's stock." Saying that they're dumping the stock on me and that, you know, if I can't sell it, you know, you're stuck with it. I'm doing all the work. That's not how it's working, right?
We we clear all the stock every single show that I get from this supplier. And you got to remember this is a partnership. Like they didn't come to me and say, "Hey, if you do this, I do that kind of thing." It's like, "Hey, I actually approached them and said, "Hey, this is what I'm thinking. Would you like to entertain it?" Right? And we we've we've been testing it out. We've been trying things out. We're, you know, we're doing a lot of work together to get the best outcome possibly best for both of us. It's a partnership, right?
There's a difference between partnerships, suppliers, wholesalers, and things like that, and conses, right?
Because sometimes I have people approach me that want me to do consignments for them. They actually I I've worked with people where I actually said, "Hey, look, I'll just buy all your stock, right?" Um they probably had about, you know, um maybe two grand worth of stock.
And I said, "Look, I'll just give you $600, $650 right now." And they said, "No, no, no, no. It's worth it's worth it's worth more money. You said it's worth like 2,000, 2,500." I said, "Yeah, well it is." I said, "But I've got to go do all the work and, you know, sell it.
So, this is how much I can give you today." Or we can do consignment. You'll get 50%. And you'll probably work out getting maybe you might work out getting a little bit more, maybe $750 after we do the fees and postage and, you know, cut it out and then they thought I was ripping them off. Whereas, I've got other people where they don't have the time and effort. They don't necessarily care what they get. They've just got stuff and they want me to consign it.
Some of that can be messy, yucky, sorting stuff. It's not worth it. But then there's a lot of stuff in there that is worth it. And that's why we go down that route. Uh in terms of eBay Live like this is specifically a partnership model because we're we're both trying to get a similar outcome but also trying to achieve different things.
They operate traveling. They do more things where they're not actually hands-on tools. Um and they want to be able to have that income coming in on a regular basis like more passively.
Whereas for me, I don't want to have to be spending up money in advance having to do extra dollar work in terms of opex expense. I just want to be able to sell the stuff and get a quick return for 2 hours, right? Mind you. So that's that's why we we're worked with this model. And anyway, the conversation went back and forth and the individual saying that yeah, basically it got down to like, oh, you know, there would be a good supplier if they'll let you buy it cheaper. um making quite a lot of assumptions and I got to the point where I just said look, you know, just because I run this business the way I run it doesn't mean that it's going to work for everyone. Um and I said, you run your business how you want to run your business, I'll run my business how I will run my business.
And what I want to say about all this is look, just because I do things the way I do it and maybe when other people give me suggestions of how they would do it and we don't agree, that doesn't mean that, you know, I don't think it's a good idea. Right? There is a lot more at play of when I'm running my business. You got to remember I'm looking at my business holistically from where we've come from, where we are today, but also for the next 90 days, the next 2 years, etc., etc. And there's a lot more things going on than just what I show you. Um, you know, there's there's everything that I have to manage. I've got the team, I've got the staff, I've got everything. And that I mean that's that's my job. That's that's, you know, obviously my responsibility. And it's very simple for people to, you know, kind of sit back and just, you know, say this, say that or suggest, oh, if I was doing it, I'd be doing it this way. That's great.
Like, go do it. Go do it then, right?
You know, and I've said to people and I said to this individual, I said, when we're running a like for-like business and we can compare apples to apples, let's have an actual conversation. But right now, you telling me that, oh, what I'm doing isn't going to work or is it seems stupid or you're running your business into the ground, that that's not appropriate, right? Clearly, it's not because we're we're still growing.
We're still, you know, achieving our results. Um, it's just going to be different for how everyone else maybe does their business, right? So, I appreciate people, you know, being willing to um leave comments and opinions. And this person said, "Oh, you know, you put yourself out there. Uh you need to be open to constructive criticism. You can't expect people to not have and share their opinions. If you are open to growing like you constantly say you are, then you shouldn't be letting your ego get the better of you and definitely shouldn't be working for your wholesaler. Good luck." Right? This this cracks me up.
Right? This individual has come in. I have no idea if you've been watching me for a year, for for the last week, or just a day. Right? probably a bit longer than last week. I think it's been a month. And yeah, you're entitled to come in and give your opinion, but you're not entitled to tell me how to run it, right? Just because you didn't agree with what I said because I don't agree with what you said. You're now saying it's like if I was open to growing, I would be, you know, willing to listen to you. It's like, mate, seriously, we have grown so much by doing different things over the last 5 6 years. and some some input from other people is really really valid. Like some really good ideas and I've learned a lot of things from a lot of people but at the same time there's a lot of other noise that I can't get distracted by even even if this was the best thing for my business. Sure I don't know until I give it a go. You're you're 100% right but I am doing that. We have a a unique different model base across our business. We already do buy stock.
We already do have a consignment business. We already have a service business. We have all these different opportunities within my business and it evens things out, right? We buy I know we we buy about 1500 pieces of items every single month. We don't buy a whole bunch of items that we're selling on eBay Live. I have stock that comes in which is unsorted by both parties. I do it as a service and then we split the profit share as well. Um I work with a tradein program. I also manage a few other little bits and bobs. I also have my listing service as well. So like we have a lot of components and revenue streams into our business. Not that I need to justify it to you, but I think looking at things isolated with not really understanding the the bigger picture of what I'm trying to achieve, it gets a little bit diluted. Um, and I I think what I'm trying to achieve is how do I create the most amount of momentum and ability to continue to grow with ease with the least amount of friction. And that means having a blend of consignment. It means having a blend of you know those profit shares means having a blend of those service models and it also means having a blend of having stock that I buy outright right that's how you build defenses within your business because you know if one thing drops other thing can still carry it if something else dies down or maybe they all take off whatever it gives you a little bit more flexibility I think the real lesson out of all of this is for me and I'll say this to everyone right don't take advice from people who haven't taken the time to understand or are not living in your shoes of the full context of what you're trying to achieve. And also, this is also to me, we can't assume that one way of doing business is the only way of doing business, which is why I have my finger in a lot of different pies. Um, there are hundred ways to build a business.
There's so many different ways. And I'm not here to tell you that my way is the right way. I'm not here to tell you that this is the way you should do it. But I am here to tell you that this is the way we're doing it until we're not. Uh, we will continue to pivot. We will continue to adjust. We will continue to do different things.
I've already been saying that come FY27, we're changing things even more. Things are going to look very different. Um, at the moment, I'm selling a lot of stock.
I'm liquidating stock. We're changing how we're going to be doing dynamics because we've had to change. We've had to adapt. I've had to learn. I've had to try new things. And I think at the end of the day, the model will only work, whatever model you choose, will only work if the numbers are fair and work for everyone. If the relationships are fair, whether it's through a wholesaler supplier relationship or whether it's a partnership or whether it's, you know, doing a as a service SLA kind of situation, um, both parties need to understand the risk and the strategy needs to make sense, right? And that's going to be very different. There's going to be a lot of different components for everyone's individualism for their business. Um, yeah. So, that's my little rant. So please, I welcome people to, you know, give their thoughts, ideas, and stuff, but you don't get to tell me that I'm wrong when I don't agree with your ideas, right? Because if I had listened to the amount of people that have told me that I should give up or my business is going to go bust or um this is impossible to do or you'll never be able to make it work or you can't sell clothing in Australia full-time. If I had listened to any of those, none of this would exist, right? my my job as owner, operator, um as founder, as you know, whatever you want to call it, director, um just at the end of the day, this is my business, right? I'm responsible for it, and it is my job to take the business to where I want it to be. You got to remember, my idea of where I'm taking my business isn't anyone else's dream. It's clearly in my head, right? So, I can understand why there's a lot of people that don't see what I'm working towards. And I'm a long-term player, and I know people don't like me saying that because it's like, "Oh, that's an easy excuse." It's like, well, it's not because I am playing the long game. I'm in this. I'm willing to do this for the rest of my life. Build it into something absolutely beautiful and figure out how that how that works. We'll change this. We'll have to adjust that. It's not going to happen overnight. If someone can, you know, if you're happy and you're selling whatever you're selling and you're making good money on it, that's great.
I'm so happy for you. But why come why come to me and tell me that I'm doing mine wrong? Yes, maybe because you think you've got it figured out. But again, we're not comparing apples to apples. I have staff to pay. And again, that's my choice, but that's the model that I'm working with. Um, gee whiz. So, what I'll say is I appreciate people wanting to comment. Please comment. Please leave questions. Please ask about things.
Please request for insights. Please um you know challenge my thinking. I'm happy to do that. But once it gets a little bit more personal and you know start saying that um you know making assumptions that I'm working for my wholesaler or you know I'm running my business into the ground uh and things like that or I don't really own my business if I have other people doing it. That that's not appropriate. It really isn't. Um, and you know, I understand that there's levels of what ownership I have over the supply chain versus the supply chain that comes to me and I don't control some of those things. Um, and we have to build in our business what we can control, but we also need to have the ups and downs because I've got business opportunities in which we do own the supply chain.
Sometimes that dries up. So we need to have the other opportunities in which we've got stock coming in that we can sort that we can process that we can sell keep the team moving towards the direction so we can keep growing not only the top line but the bottom line too. That's it from me. Um I'm going to do some uh listings now and uh get on with the day.
All right, listing and admins is done.
It's time to do a pick pack and post. Uh we'll be sending out also eBay live stuff today. Um I did have a couple other goodies rock up too. So, better just handle these. Um, I'm going to pick all the items and I'll take you through what we got.
All right, Tim. So, this is all that we have going out. We've actually sold lots and lots of Northace, lots of jeans, lots of pants, surprisingly lots of jaws as well. That was a bit weird. Um, one person's bought three, another person's bought two. Um, some skirts, hoodies, like lots of Nike, lots of North Face, uh, lots of Polo, lots of, uh, Lululemon, Levis's, Levis's. Um, yeah, lots of Levis's. Uh, yeah. So, that's what we're going to send out. Um, get this all packed up and then move on to the next task. All right, team. Postage is done. We've also been tinkering around. Um, I'm trying to record my eBay lives and stuff so I can make extra content with it. just been tinkering and researching, but I'm going to pause that for now and just do some work. I want to get through the that electronic stuff over there. We did actually get two more boxes down for washing. So, we're going to be going through this a little bit later, too. Some pretty pretty cool stuff in here. Um some big big jackets.
So, do that a little bit later, but for now, I'm going to try and do these um electrical pieces just to move them on.
Um, basically I'm going to go through them and weigh up. Is it worth me selling myself or just wholesale them out cuz it's just quick money, just easier. Uh, some I think are going to be some pretty pretty big dollars. Others, yeah, might not be worth it cuz you got to obviously ship them as well. And yeah, so I'm just going to do that now.
Just try and get through as much as this as possible, at least for the next hour and see what we can do. All right, team.
It's been a little bit. um had lunch, been doing a few other things, but we did do I think it was seven of those uh amps and hi-fi devices. Um good chunk of this uh not this one. Uh where is it?
Must be the one at the bottom. We looked it up and for parts only, it sold for $900 and it is working, but we'll see what happens. Uh we also just been pulling out some other boxes that we need to do for washing, more jackets. Uh, did find a box of jeans and shorts and pants, so that's a win. So, they're going to go out for washing. And yeah, now I'm just prepping those washing bags now. Um, that way they're ready for Monday and just been tinkering a little bit with trying to work out how we're going to do this recording today. I don't think it's going to get it to work. I got to do some proper research. Probably need to do it on the weekend. Worst case, I might just set up another camera just to get some extra filming done. uh just to be able to do a little bit behind the scenes kind of stuff. Um yeah.
All right, team. Washing bags are now done. Uh Dan's just gone. He's actually taken the post for me as well. Um I'm going to go do actually list those electronics that we were just doing. Um just so I can just rest a little bit, like sit down, rest the legs before I do the live stream. Uh and then it's just a matter of getting ready to go. We've got an hour and a half till we go live. So, I've still got a bit of time, but I like to just make sure I don't do anything too intense before because it is a 2hour show, so they are quite exhausting. So, I'm going to go do some listings and uh yeah, it's been pretty quiet today otherwise.
All right, team. I'm about to go live.
I've got a camera set up here to do some recording. Um that will go live in a moment. And I'm also going to be recording it over here. I'm just testing a few things, but I think what we'll end up doing is we'll end up probably streaming this stuff later as well. Um, like eventually I want to be able to stream it to YouTube. So, testing something today. I need to do a better test when I have someone else here with me just because, you know, I need eyes and ears at two places at once. So, um, yeah, wish me luck team. Hopefully, it should be a banger show. We do have some pretty cool stuff in this one. I'm excited. Uh, it's always fun regardless.
I'll see you on the tail on the flip side.
All right, team. We just finished. Uh, looks like we did $1,147 without postage, so it's probably close to 1,300 maybe. Um, we uh what's happening here? Um, we we did have a bit of a slow start actually. It was a bit bit slow, but hey, look, all things considered, can't complain. It's really good. I've got to pack up, get out of here, and um I'll give you guys a bit of an update on this probably, yeah, probably be Monday. Anyway, ciao. Have a good weekend. Oh, I'll do the recap on the way home, of course. But yes, let me do that, and then I'll um we'll catch up on this next week, but I'll do the recap on the way home. All right, team. It's nice and dark again, just simply because it is nighttime. Um on the way home, I totally forgot about the recap. I forgot it was Friday. Um but here we are again.
Another week done and dusted. I get excited of how quickly these weeks go through, but then I also get, you know, it's always a bit nerve-wracking because you got to go out, do it again. Um, and it's the same old story, you know, a busy week, blurry week, but we've come out, we've done a very solid week. We're actually probably on track to potentially do our best week ever. Uh, and that's that's very exciting. Um but you know, look, this week my head has really just been um in again continued planning mode for FY27.
Uh just getting starting to get ready for company structure and a few things that we're going to be changing up in the business. And I've got to make some big decisions. cuz I got to make some tough decisions because even today was a good example was Dion and I we were going through the washing that we're sending out and we're nearly at the point where our volume of washing is going to be minimal because the stuff that we have left is more heavyweight stuff. So we don't send out as much volume. We just send out, you know, more heavy stuff. So lots of jackets and things like that. And that starts to get very interesting because I don't really want to be just buying stock just to have the team to be photoing. But we do need to have stock coming through to ensure that, you know, we are having listings going up on a daily basis just to keep eyeballs coming in. So we got to work out what that model's going to look like. And that that's that's a new challenge for me.
while at the same time eBay Live, you know, we did another 65 items tonight.
Um, and that's been very rewarding.
Another $1,100, $1,300 probably with postage. And you know, we'll probably walk away I'll probably walk away with $400, $500 each. There is an item in there that's consignees and etc, etc. My point is, you know, we're doing that twice a week, that show, which is guaranteeing about, you know, $1,100 and walking away with about $500 each.
So, we're walking around about $1,000 profit each per week in the eBay live.
Now, we're already there. Um, so it's like, how do we bring out more? How do we do more? How do we uh get that opportunity continuing to grow up? Um, obviously, the ideal space would be higher ASP, so you don't have to do as much work. Uh, so anyway, I believe it.
So, that's where my mind's at. That's what I'm trying to figure out, think about, and solve for. Um, there's going to be between now and June, I'm kind of like just trying to sell, liquidate as much as possible just to get the end of the financial year in a good position, cash up. Um, so we've got, you know, opp we've got money in the bank ready to take action on new opportunities in the new financial year. Um, other than that, you know, like, you know, testing out new processes uh for the eBay live stuff. Um, I want to do a bit of a working be cleanup session next week.
There's so much I got to get through.
Uh, that's going to take a little bit of time, but I need to do it and use that at my advantage to kind of get ahead um and just liquidate and get rid of stuff.
Um, and also, you know, I've got a lot of stuff that we need to process. So, yeah. Anyway, all things considered, great week. Um, you know, where we're at is I'm a very very very happy and proud where we're at. Things are working very well. Um, again, we're still paying off some of those expenses that we we had from a couple of months ago where we had to, you know, offset a few things and, um, that was because I had to make some tough decisions, right? But we're probably going to land in a pretty good position this month if things stay the way they are. Today's actually been very very very very quiet on eBay core.
In terms of actual eBay Live, we've actually done more on eBay Live than we have in our normal store. So, you know, that that always makes me nervous because that's starting to give me the glimpse of what the future of eBay is going to be. Um anyway, all good. Um, in terms of dollar dues, this week we're sitting on I haven't even put the eBay Live stuff in it, but it's week 280 since I started doing this business. We've done $12,688, I think it is, and we will be adding in about 1,300 on top of that. So, that's going to get us to $14,000 basically.
Um, so that's already getting very close to our best week ever. We've still got Saturday and Sunday, so we're on track to probably do close to 15,000 16,000 for the week, which is crazy to think. I remember when it was really hard to even fathom doing, you know, $3,000 a week, let alone $30,000 a month, and we're about to do half of that in a week. Um, and if if we stay on this trajectory, we will do probably $60,000 this month, which is crazy. I mean, we still have more expenses. I've got to buy more um postage supplies and I'll probably do a big big one just to pay up um so that we can buy into the you know set ourselves up for the new financial year. We've got annual expenses coming up, so like our shipping software, all these different things. And I know people laugh about the expenses and it's not really worth it, but the timing of all these things are just horrible because, you know, you can pay weekly. I mean, you can pay monthly, but I like to pay monthly because usually, sorry, you can pay monthly. I like to pay annually because you usually get a 20% discount and overall in your bottom line, it's it's going to even out anyway. It's more of a cash flow thing. Um, but yeah.
Anyway, so that's that. And then in terms of the month, as I said, we're probably going to land around 60,000 and hopefully land close to around3 $4,000 in net profit.
But I might I might spend more expenses just because we're at the end of the financial year. we're going to be moving to a company anyway and I'd rather try and actually fit as many expenses into as a solo prneur, like as a soul trader uh now than have the company have to take it on. And that that's a bit of a um it's a bit of a double-edged sword in in some sense in terms of I take the hit personally. Uh but the company means it's going to get it set up in a nice position so it can thrive and build itself a bit more of a capital mode. So that's that's kind of a strategy I'm working towards. Of course, you know, I work with Ethan and what makes sense with all those kind of options. But yeah, anyway, I blabber. So week has still been very interesting.
Even though we've sold so much on eBay Live with a lower ASP, which is probably closer to about $13, we're still doing an ASP overall in the store of $40 even with eBay Live. So, we've been selling quite a lot of I'm noticing on eBay um core our ASP is closer to that, you know, $55 $65 um which is good cuz that's probably where I want it to be when we move into this into the new financial year as well. Uh other than that, look, the week's been great. Um if people want to have a conversation, talk about anything, please leave a comment. Again, I'm I'm open to everyone's opinion. I'm open to everyone having a chat, uh, leaving an idea or a question or, you know, need a clarification on something.
I just won't entertain people telling me how to run my business. Um, you know, if I I mean, I I have some really good conversations with people that challenge me, keep me honest, and I respect those people, but people, you know, giving me unsolicited advice with no, you know, kind of respect or we've never compensated together, I struggle with that. I'll be frank. But it also it sometime crosses a line. It's like when people start talking to me about my personal tax. Like it's just not appropriate. Like I mean, you know, like why do people want to know about my tax?
Like, oh, you know, you haven't paid tax. I mean, we talk about our numbers and then people say it's like, oh yeah, but you haven't included tax. It's like, well, no, I haven't. Because even if I talk about my business and tax, it's not even the full picture because I have other income streams and I have rental properties and I have shares and, you know, I have other things. cuz I've made donation. Like the tax is kind of like irrelevant. It's like depending on what tax bracket I'm in. You can do the math.
There's going to be a percentage, right?
Like anyway, I it just cracks me up when people say those things. It's just it seems so so belittled. Like it's just like what is the what is the value out there?
Anyway, that's it from me team. Um I've got a cool weekend doing running this weekend. Catching up with Cara obviously. Uh I've got a birthday party.
Going out some movies. Uh, I'm just loving the weekends. Just bit of downtime, just chilling and working on other hobbies involved.
And next weekend we actually have our trail run. Um, which will be bit scary, but hey, we're back at it. So anyway team, that's it from me. Appreciate you all being here. Drop a question, drop a comment, let me know who's been watching, and you have a wonderful day.
Ciao.
