A very good day to you in studio. We are in St. Francis Bay in the Eastern Cape where residents of Sea Vista um are complaining about foreign nationals um allegedly occupying land um at that informal settlement um in Sea Vista. But with me, I do have one of the residents um just to speak to me about what is going on there in Seist. Thank you very much for speaking to us. Please tell us what your complaints are about today and uh what the march is about. H thank you very much to have me in this interview.
H I am an MAN a resident of C Vista. We have a very big problem of illegal immigrants. H the illegal immigrants are selling drugs to the young people and also they are taking our job because uh the employers around they in favor of them because of the cheap labor. They pay them very cheap. And also the problem the big problem that you have our uh community members the citizens of South Africa are at home uh benefiting only the 37 gratification uh they don't have job and the unemployment because of them is increased in this area. Now we residents we decided to mar decided the day of today day of today to march to do this much to submit our memorandum to station commander. Thank you.
>> All right. Um just as he's walking um I understand that you did mention something um about that also selling drugs allegedly. Um just explain to us that how does that affect the community?
It is affecting the community because now we are experiencing a lot of dropouts from school. The young childrens they don't finish schools they just drop out and the young childrens are becoming join h the tags are becoming join the criminality activities because of they they have the they these drugs from the foreign people as we have those people and also the house breakings in in our communities increase because of these drugs dealers. Thank you.

That was one of the residents just as we walking um just speaking to us uh that they're walking now marching to the police station um just to say their grievances to the station commander. Um um he was also saying and speaking to other residents as well they are also complaining that um in the jobs that are available there's a lot of people foreign nationals um that they uh claim that they are undocumented um that do occupy spaces such as jobs. Um, but for now it is back to you in studio.
