When sourcing items from thrift stores for resale, the value of each piece is determined by multiple factors including brand recognition (designer labels like The Row, Free People, and Rebecca Minkoff command premium prices), condition (new with tags or excellent condition significantly increases value), material quality (100% wool, silk, and genuine leather are more valuable), and rarity (discontinued brands like Sundance create collector demand). Successful resellers assess these factors to identify items that can be purchased for $2-10 and resold for $30-100+ on platforms like Poshmark, with the key being to focus on substantial categories like jeans, suits, and blazers first, and to research comps before pricing items.

So Many BOLOs!! My Best Thrift Haul Ever?? 30+ Items Sourced from Goodwill Houston to Resell $$本站添加:
Hey guys, it's Mackenzie. Welcome back to my channel. So, today we have a very, very exciting thrift haul. This is going to be 33 items that I sourced from a regularly priced Goodwill store. So, if you regularly watch my channel, you would know that I do like to stick to outlet stores just because we do have several Goodwill outlets and family thrift center outlets throughout the Houston area. But, one day, I stopped into a regular Goodwill and I found some incredible pieces. as you will see as we move along. So many bolo brands, so many brands that I have had on my list to find forever, and I finally found them.
So, yeah, I can't wait to get into it.
We are going to start off with a few accessories and shoes before we move into clothing. I don't have a total price for everything that I paid for all 33 items, but I do remember prices, so I will let you guys know as we move along.
Our first piece is a hat by a brand that has been on my personal bolo list since I started reselling. Lack of color. This is 100% Australian wool. It's the medium size. And this is so cool. It has these metal ornaments along the hat. And it's in excellent condition. This retailed for a couple hundred and I think it will resell for around hundred. And I found not one but two. This is the same brand, Lack of Color. This one is also 100% wool, Australian wool, also size medium. And it has a really pretty boho ribbon.
Great shape as well. So yeah, I was so excited to find those. I have one purse.
This is nothing special. I just thought that the quality looked nice and it turned out to be I believe it's Atta grass ATA grass which you know is a higher quality than 100% paper. So I thought with going into summer this would be a really nice summer staple bag. It's a nice cross body size. Okay, moving into shoes now. We have very exciting stuff. Another brand that has been on my bolo list. I believe this is pronounced totem.
Gorgeous leather square toe sandals.
These sandals retailed for around $500 and I mean they are in incredible condition.
These will resell for hundreds on Poshmark. It has been a little bit since I have sourced this stuff. So, the exact comps are escaping me, but yeah, I was so excited to find these. Made in Italy, size 38. And I mean, the condition is just excellent.
I've told you guys in the past that I look at this part of the sole here to see how much has been taken out, and these are basically brand new. Okay, next we have another brand that I do love to find. Sundance.
Sundance has recently been discontinued and a lot of people really really liked it. So, I will keep an eye out for the pieces going forward um because, you know, people will be scouring the secondhand market to find Sundance items. And once again, these are in great shape. They do give Birkenstock vibes. They're a blue suede bow upper in a size 41. And then last pair of shoes, another bolo brand, huge bolo brand that has once again been on my personal list, the Row. I do think these are a men's pair of shoes, genuine leather, in excellent condition.
They have three Velcro straps up top and then white platform soul.
And the row is I mean one of just a very very high-end designer brand. It is Mary Kate and Ashley's like topofthe- line designer brand. Very very expensive.
Everything retails basically for thousands.
And so I'm not sure what I will list these for. I do need to do some research. But I was ecstatic to find these. These were $10. The hats were $6 each. The purse was $6, I believe. And then the sandals were also around $6.
Okay, getting into clothing now.
Starting off with guys, I cannot tell you. They did bring out a new rack and I had not shopped a regular Goodwill store in a while and so I was unfamiliar with the new rule where you're not allowed to shop items off the new rack.
So, I didn't know about that. I walked into the store, saw these hanging on the new rack, and immediately put them into my cart. And then a few minutes later, I did hear the announcement saying, "Please don't do that." So, I don't know if they were targeting me when they said that or if they just announced that regularly. But guys, these are Mother Superior new tags jeans. They're not embroidered. It's like a painted pattern.
widelegg.
So cool when I tell you I mean I walked into the store and immediately found these and so you can imagine I was just ecstatic throughout my entire rest of the trip and I found so many good pieces following these. They're size 34. They are the Maven sneak jean in side to side wash. I made an Instagram post about these because they deserved it. This is one of my best finds in a long time. These jeans retailed for I believe it was $333 and I didn't see any in this size on Poshmark. So, I am definitely listing those for a pretty penny. And then I walked over to the suits aisle. So, whenever I shop regular Goodwill stores, I definitely do start with the more substantial categories like jeans, suits, blazers. And so, I did run over to the blazers aisle and I found this twopiece set. It is a collab.
Morris and company collaborating with Paige, size extra small, and it's a two-piece floral printed velvet twobutton blazer.
I do believe both pieces are new without tags.
The pants still have remnants of a tag and they both just look and feel brand new. So, the blazer is a size extra small and then the pants are a size 27.
So, these are kind of like a midrise flare leg pant. I mean, this suit is so cool. And I mean, once again, this retailed for hundreds in excellent condition. So yeah, this really just makes me want to start popping into regular Goodwill stores and seeing what's up because sometimes it's worth it to pay up a little bit. That suit was $15 together and the mother jeans were 7 $7. They did not price them up. This skirt was priced at $6. It was either5 or $6. I do think it was six. It's Free People. It's just a cargo skirt.
I mainly grabbed it because mini skirts have been very popular, especially this cargo style size six.
Another really cool piece. This was priced at $10. I was surprised that a lot of this stuff was not marked up. So, this is new tags Rebecca Minkoff size extra-L large denim trench coat.
It's collared and it is full length.
All of the waist ties and belts or buckles on the arms are accounted for.
It's a size extra large. New tags. I mean, so many sellable factors to this.
This is an incredible find. And it has the fabric covered belt at the waist.
Really cool. So, yeah, I gladly paid $10 for that. Next, we have another bolo brand. This is Luna, which is a higherend luxury sleepwear brand. I sold it several times in the past for over $100. Their silk pajama sets sell very well. This is just a cotton sleep shirt.
I thought when I found it that it might have been like a longer sleeve dress, but then when I got it home, I noticed the higher side vents and I looked it up and it is indeed a sleep shirt. So, it did have shorts that went with it. But I do still think that it will sell well.
There is a big demand, high demand for this brand. It's a size medium and it's in excellent condition. Okay, this is cost. This is one of the only pieces that was their color of the day. So, this was half off. Dresses are priced at $8 and so this was reduced down to four.
I do love finding and selling this brand. Once again, the demand is very high for cost. This is a V-neck ribbed midilength dress. Button up or button down dress, I guess. Button-up dress. Button-d down dress.
This definitely has some weight to it. I tried this on. It's extremely flattering. I am going to wear this once or twice before selling. Okay, now we have a new to me brand. I was just flipping through. This is actually in the athletic wear. These are not athletic pants. They're a lounge pant.
And I felt the material. It felt like cashmere to me. It's not. It's viscous polyester and polyamide. Um, but it's incredibly soft. And I saw that it was made in Italy. So, I just gave it a quick Google search and these lounge sets retail for I think it was like over $200 and the separates sell for a lot on Poshmark. The pants I was seeing strong comps right around that $70 mark for just the pants.
So, yeah, I'm very excited to stumble upon a new bolo brand. I did try these on. They are incredibly flattering. So, I do see what the hype is about. And like I said, they do feel like cashmere. Okay. Then I stumbled into I don't know if this was someone's donated collection of Lily Pulitzer or if the store donated these because there are a couple that are new with tags. I don't know why you would just buy these and donate these because these are the newer label.
Lily Pulitzer retailed for $108.
So cute V-neck dress with ties at the wrists and then a very vibrant floral print.
I do always check the year on Lily Pulitzer. I could tell that this was newer just because like I said the tag is newer from 2024 100% cotton. This one was also new tags.
Retailed for 118, size small, also V-neck. And then this one has like a flare sleeve.
Really cute. And it is a novelty print.
It's like a little beachy tropical area. And it does say Palm Beach, Florida within the print.
I think this might be some kind of like anniversary print. 100% Pima cotton made in Peru. And this one is from January 2024. Third one is a size medium.
Really fun novelty print with these birds. How cool is that? And then you have the tiered skirt portion. This one has pockets.
And I mean, these are all all four of them are either new with tags or like new 100% cotton from January 2023. And then lastly, this is once again that newest tag, size eight. I think this one's my favorite. I'm not a huge loud prints person. You guys have probably picked up on that. And so this one uh is my favorite print by far. We also have the novelty print going on with the pineapples and the seashells. Very nautical and beachy. It's fully lined.
Looks unworn. And this one is from January 2025. 100% rayon. And those were all $8 each. They had just been brought onto the floor and I scooped them up off the rack. Okay, now we have another newest tag, but this one is from the brand J Mccclaclin. So, this piece has several sellable factors going for it.
It's a size large. It's 100% linen. It has this very fun tropical print to it with contrasting stripes.
In excellent condition. The seasonality is perfect. It's linen cotton actually.
Yeah, I could see this selling really quickly for like 30 to 35. They had this priced at $2.99. It's Vince Camudo and it's one size. These longline kimonos just fly out of my closet this time of year. And this one is really nice. It has dedicated armholes, tassel trims, a metallic weave throughout. Just very beachy, boho resort.
It's longer length. So yeah, I love this. Could not leave that for $2.99.
Another Free People skirt. just a red faux leather size eight Free People skirt. This was just kind of an addin. I couldn't leave it. It was in excellent shape and I was honestly just really excited to be finding so many pieces that I wasn't really thinking too hard about anything. I was just finding and throwing in the cart and being excited.
So, this I really don't know. I couldn't find too much about this brand online.
And I do think some of their pieces have been sold through Anthropology in the past. Size large. I mostly grabbed this dress because the quality was insane.
It's 100% silk and it has this very heavy high quality beaded portion at the chest.
The arms are interesting. They are cut out underneath.
So you have open arm underneath and then a wrist cuff with three buttons.
It is 100% silk navy and this had zero flaws. I don't think this was ever worn.
It's a midi length. I mean this is just gorgeous. Fully lined.
So yeah, I absolutely cannot leave this.
This was not marked up. $8.
And I could not find any sold comps of this exact dress online. So, I don't know if that was like one of one or what, but I had to get it. Okay. Now, I found two of the same Chico's top, both new tags in both size extra large. Size Chico 3, which is equivalent to a US size 16.
I mainly picked them up because of the size, style, and condition. They retailed for $89.50.
They have some fun detailing to them and Chico's in a size three and up. Just flies out of my closet. So, I thought these were just nicer summer tops for someone.
Fun, vibrant colors, very beachy. Okay, another brand that I have been dying to find. I gasped when I saw this on the rack. Once again, not marked up. This was priced at $8. It's stood size six.
Striped button-down dress. Midilength dress with a really cool cut at the bottom hemline. It's like a curved hem and then a little bit of an offshoulder neckline. Very chic.
And I mean this once again, excellent condition. I'm not sure what was going on. It looked like everything I was finding was just unworn. So, I really honestly have no idea what was happening here. But you guys can just imagine my excitement this day. We have more of a bread and butter piece, which is kind of crazy because these would be probably one of my better finds during a bins trip, but everything is relative. These are by Anthropology house label size medium boho vibrant printed pants. This is a very popular cut of pant for me. The high-rise pull on widelegg elastic waist pant. It sells very well for me especially when you add in other sellable factors like the boho print, the you know reputable brand and the condition. They have side slits at the bottom hem.
Another brand that I love to find, very tried and true, Bowden. This is a size 14, which is an excellent size. It's a cream base with navy polka dots, 100% cotton button-up blouse with a tie at the neckline. Very pretty. Okay, this is a brand that I have loved sourcing recently because it does seem to sell very well, pretty much in every category and style. Size 2X, so that's excellent as well. It's a V-neck romper in this fun floral boho print. It has the waist tie still attached, which is great. A wider sleeve. It is fully lined. has the elastic waist in great shape. I think the exterior, yeah, exterior is 100% cotton and then the lining is poly. We have another skirt, Vince. I picked this up because it was genuine leather and Vince does retail for so much. I am definitely pickier with this older gray label from the brand, but yeah, it is genuine leather. So, I know that this retailed for several hundred. And I mean, it's such a closet staple in good condition. I had to grab it. Another skirt. Actually, I was excited to find this. I recently picked this brand up at the bins and it sold very quickly. It was a dress. It sold for $35 and that was only a size medium. This is a size 4XL. It has a novelty print and it is that retro pinup rockabilly cut and style. So, I do think this will sell very well.
It's stretchy, has a zip in back with no flaws. Skirts are $6. And the Baltic Born romper was $8. They priced that as a dress. This JJ gel dress was also $8. So, this is a maxi length. Let me figure out the straps here. maxi length boho printed dress.
Really pretty. Jel is such a solid seller for me. Similar to Chico's and Talbits and Garnet Hill. So yeah, I love the print on this. It's very soft and stretchy. The seasonality is spoton. It kind of has like a tiered design to it, but it's kind of hard to see on camera. But yeah, this looked unworn. It's a size large, which is great, and I love the print. Okay, we're down to our last couple pieces. I feel like this haul flew by, probably because I love every item. This is Free People 1, which is a line within the Free People brand that I do love to find and sell.
They make a lot of like gauzy and purposefully faded just very like livedin pieces.
This wafflenk knit henley is no exception.
This I picked up because it was new without tags and I did check comps and they seem to be pretty good for this particular piece. The only thing is the size tag has rubbed off. So, um I'm going to have to measure that. I think it's like a small medium. This was $6.
Shirts are $6. And then lastly, this was our only other piece that was the sale color of the day. So, this was originally $8, marked down to four. I had to grab it because Garnet Hill does sell well for me. It's a size six and it's 100% organic cotton.
So yeah, this is bread and butter.
I do like the it's like a gradient plaid print.
Very cute, excellent condition, and does have pockets. So that was everything that I had to show you. All 33 items that I sourced from the regularly priced Goodwill store, which I will definitely be shopping more often. I cannot tell you how excited I am to have found everything and get it all listed. I hope you guys enjoyed this haul. Let me know what your favorite item was. Were you familiar with all of these bolo brands?
Um, I definitely learned a couple. And once again, I'm just so excited. So, thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed. If you did enjoy, please feel free to leave me a thumbs up. Don't forget to subscribe. And I will see you guys soon. by all.
