Costs Keep Climbing, and Where is Congress?Ajouté :
I know talking a lot of other small business owners, we've been trying to eat the tariffs as long as we can. But even we have a breaking point and so, you know, um we're so glad that kind of Supreme Court kind of gave us some clarity on that and it seems like things are going back to normal, but at the same time with this administration, it's still we have no idea what's going to happen week to week.
The cost of diesel by itself, um and I mean that's going to be the the number one cost that we're seeing tacked on to all these fuel surcharges. So, unfortunately, it just seems like in the in the near term in short term, things are going to get more expensive, not less expensive and I don't see anything happening in DC that's really going to stop that, whether it's, you know, economic policy or foreign policy. Yeah, and you're talking 60 to times 60,000.
Yeah, I mean I can't imagine trying to manage that many SKUs and lines of control from 30 different countries as you mentioned and and have any kind of a budget. I mean it's it's got to be a constant review of what you can put in and what the price is going to be and it is it is about drinking around, isn't it?
>> You know, we're living week to week and and it's not even things that are coming in from overseas, you know, there are farmers out there that don't have enough folks to milk the cows, uh pick the lettuce. So, I mean summer, people think road trips, they think outdoor barbecues and it's going to be a shame when those costs keep going up and up and families going to have to make some really difficult decisions on what they're going to spend on, whether they take that summer road trip.
