Starting a business with minimal capital ($100) requires systematic approaches like door-to-door sales, cold calling, and digital marketing outreach, but success depends more on persistence and adaptability than on the initial capital or location's wealth; even in America's richest towns with abundant opportunities, entrepreneurs must overcome rejection, manage limited resources, and continuously refine their strategies to generate revenue.

How Much Can I Make in America's Richest Town?Added:
I have a question. If I spawned into America's richest town with $100 in 24 hours, how much money would I be able to make? To find out, I traveled to Newport Beach, California, home to 7 billionaires, 45,000 millionaires, and is one of the richest towns in America.
My goals today are simple. Start a business with $100. Number two, make enough money to not be homeless tonight.
Now, I know you're probably wondering, Brandon, how do you plan to do that?
Well, I created a business plan. Now, I've never built a successful business before, which is why I spent the last couple of weeks researching the best businesses to start in 2026. And after some extensive research, I found that a digital marketing agency is the easiest, cheapest, and fastest business to build right now. Basically, making Tik Toks for local businesses is is the game plan. So today, my job is simple. Use a variety of methods to market this business to locals here in Newport Beach. All to truly see how much money I can make in 24 hours.
And I'm starting with the scariest method on my list, door-todoor sales.
Now, I've tested door to door selling in the past and have literally made hundreds of dollars in minutes. But I've never tested door to door selling on a business. So, I'm going to go inside and ask. I was wondering if you guys wanted any uh social media marketing at all.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Have a good one. Okay. Well, the owner wasn't there, but I got a card. Holy crap. After literally one store, we already have a potential lead. So, I am going to send the owner an email and see if they get back to us. Now, the reason why I'm so unbelievably nervous to send this email is because this video is based off of one of my favorite TV shows of all time, Undercover Billionaire, where a billionaire would get dropped off in a random town with a fake identity, $100, and a goal to build a $1 million business in 90 days.
>> Hardest thing I've ever done in my whole life. Number one. Number two, I would never do it again. Number three, I would tell anybody that's thinking about doing Undercover Billionaire, don't do it.
>> I have always wanted to do something like this. And now the only thing standing between me and making money is this email. Hey, Roger. Uh, my name is Brandon.
Let me know. Thanks.
Uh, are you the owner here?
>> I am.
>> So, my name is Brandon. It's a pleasure to meet you. I run a social media marketing agency, and I was wondering if you would be interested in any like YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok. Now, you're probably wondering the strategies I'm using to grow my business. Well, it all comes back to the extensive research I did leading up to today.
>> My plan was really about people. It wasn't about money. It was never about the million dollars. I knew I could get to the million if I could find the right people.
>> What was your name?
>> I'm Mike. Mike. I'm Brandon.
>> Brandon.
>> Yeah.
>> Savannah.
>> Savannah. Brandon.
>> Pleasure to meet you. Thank you so much.
What was your name?
>> I'm Vivian.
>> Vivian. Pleasure to meet you. Brandon.
Thank you so much.
>> I needed to find one, somebody that would trust me. Two, somebody that would give me money. And three, somebody that wanted to build something. Like those three things together. Hi, my name is Brandon. I uh I run like a social media marketing agency. I was wondering if you guys would be interested in any marketing services.
>> We've had a lot of good traction with social media with that. And so, um that could potentially be something else.
>> 100% 100%. Okay, I'm going to call the card that I just got. It's an ice cream shop. Hi, Diddy. Uh my name is Brandon.
I run a social media marketing agency for local businesses here in Newport Beach. Thanks. Bye, y'all. Well, it's already been over 4 hours and I have made $0. I still have nowhere to sleep tonight. The only good thing is I do have quite a few leads. All I need to do now is figure out how to turn the leads into real money.
>> Once I got there, all I was worried about was where do I sleep, where's my water, and where's my food?
>> Knowing that I have no idea where I'm going to sleep tonight was terrifying.
But I couldn't even think about that right now because >> I'm looking for specific relationships.
They have to have money. They have to have credibility. They have to have credit lines.
>> Guys, the amount of money that people have in this town is insane. Just by walking around, I'm surrounded by the nicest cars. Literally probably the most expensive car I've ever seen. The most expensive real estate and like $20 Chipotle quesadillas. So, so in my mind, it realistically shouldn't be that hard to find someone. I mean, 50% of people who live in this town are millionaires.
That's half. That's one in two, which means I'm bound to bump into someone who owns a Lamborghini or something.
>> Excuse me, guys. Is this your guys' car?
>> Yes, sir.
>> So, I'm doing a video where I'm like trying to start a business >> in like one of America's richest towns.
>> Do you have any advice?
>> Um, it's it's such a broad question to like how do you be successful? Yeah, it's more like, okay, you have to experience a lot of things and put yourself out there to learn as much as possible because the reason why you don't know enough is cuz you haven't learned enough. And that's that's my advice. What's your name?
>> Sam. Brandon. Pleasure to meet you.
Thank you so much.
>> Sam then said this. Sit >> in it.
>> I would love to. Are you serious?
>> Okay, so Sam is being so kind to let me open his Lamborghini.
>> There you go. Push. Push that right there. The other. The other one. All right. Right. Yeah. Oh, I see it. Oh my I've never sat in a Lamborghini before.
Holy. I've never even like seen one.
Oh my gosh, dude. No way. This is crazy.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, I am sitting in a Lamborghini right now. Holy crap. Sam, it was a pleasure meeting you, man.
Pleasure. Thank you so much. Have a good one.
>> Keep riding. Keep striving.
>> I'm sure you'll get to where you need to get to.
>> I appreciate it. I appreciate it. That was one of the most insane experiences of all time. That car is probably like $300,000.
Holy crap.
Okay, guys. Uh, this isn't looking good.
This isn't looking good. Um, this has been one of the fastest days of my entire life. And I've realized building a business is pretty hard. It it definitely is not easy, especially when I'm trying to do it in one singular day.
Although door-to-door selling hasn't quite converted into a customer yet, I do have other marketing methods that I'm going to test. But first, I need to figure out where I'm going to sleep tonight. Unfortunately, here in Newport Beach, hotels are extremely expensive.
So, after doing a little bit of research, I found an Airbnb for $79 per night. The problem, it's 4 miles away. I need to check in in two hours and is low-key kind of like a survival challenge. Um, so the real question is, do I want to spend almost 80% of my money on a place to sleep or do I want to put the money towards an investment into a marketing campaign of some sort?
Okay. Okay. I booked it. I booked it.
$79 is gone. We now have $21 left.
Now, unfortunately, I have no way to actually transport myself to the Airbnb.
So, I guess I'm going to have to use the vehicles that God gave me, aka use my legs and walk. Okay, let's go, baby.
And so, I embarked on a fourmile journey to my Airbnb with having $21 to my name and on the verge of bankruptcy, I walked past yachts, Ferrari dealerships, mansions. Hey Chad GBT, what is the average home price in Newport Beach, California?
>> As of early 2026, the average home value in Newport Beach is about $3.63 million.
The median listing price is around $4.39 million.
Okay, ladies and gentlemen, I Holy, that's terrible. Okay, I about to pull up to the place that I was able to afford for tonight.
Now, this van may not look like much, but inside is a house. There's a house inside this van. Inside this van has everything I need to live as well as make money.
There's a bed, a workstation, whatever this thing is, a front seat, literally anything I could ever want in a business HQ. this van has. But I have a ton of work I still have to do today. As you can tell, door to door selling brutally failed. So, I'm going to try a marketing method that I've wanted to try for years. I've seen a bunch of viral videos all over my Instagram reels of people using insane strategies to cold call random businesses and then proceed to make insane amounts of money. Now, the first strategy that I'm testing is one of my all-time personal favorites. This is Brax from BX Detail. Who is this?
>> Ram your head into a wall and come down with the illness. You piece of Where the is the owner at?
>> I am the owner of you.
>> Now, I know this method sounds insane, but this somehow always works.
>> We're going to do a ton of business.
>> Yeah, we are. We're going to go on a date together.
>> But now it's my turn.
>> Power play. I pick up all this. Melissa, >> put the owner on the phone.
>> Hello.
>> Who are you? The owner.
>> Can I help?
>> I am quickly realizing I'm not very good at this. I had to hang up. I had to I feel like I wasn't mean enough. I feel like I wasn't mean enough.
>> Can I help you?
>> Shut the up. Put the owner on the phone.
>> The owner.
>> I have you.
>> Shut the up. Put the owner on the phone.
>> Huh?
>> Is a manager there?
>> I I'm the manager.
>> You're the manager.
>> Why? What's it all?
>> You interested or not?
>> Clear, baby. Sorry about that.
>> No, you.
>> Okay, this obviously isn't working. I was facing rejection after rejection after rejection. But for this next cold calling strategy, I'm going to test a more PG method.
Hello.
>> Hey, is this Donnie?
>> Yeah.
>> Donnie, this is Owen. You want the good news or the bad news? Uh, >> who's it?
>> This is Owen.
>> Owen.
>> Do you want the good news or the bad news, Mr. Donnie?
>> I want the bad news.
>> Bad news, Donnie. This is a cold call.
Good news is this is a well re This is a wellressearched cold call. And if you give me 30 seconds, I can explain how I can help you.
>> You know what? I like your style. Go right ahead.
>> Perfect.
>> This looks like the easiest strategy of all time.
Hey, how can I help you?
>> Hi, Kayla. Do you want the good news or the bad news?
>> Would you like me to give this um or transfer this call to my manager?
>> Who is this?
>> This is Brandon. Do you want the good news or the bad news first?
>> It doesn't matter, sir.
>> Well, I'll give you the bad news. The bad news is this is a cold call. The good news >> Oh my god.
>> by using social med just hangs up. always just hangs up. You know, a lot of the strategies that I've used today were inspired by Grant Cardone season of Undercover Billionaire, meeting successful people, cold calling business owners, and the ways that I've spent my money all followed the same blueprint that Grant followed. And looking back now, I'm wondering why it looked so much easier when he did it. But nonetheless, I wasn't giving up. Guys, I have $21 left in my budget, and I think I'm going to blow it all at Chipotle.
Uh, >> could I get a chicken quesadilla, please?
>> Thank you.
>> I speed ran my way back home, as well as speed ate my entire Chipotle order, which costed about $20, and that's because I still have a lot of work to do today. The sun may be setting, but my night is only beginning. Okay, guys. Uh, we're in the van. I'm about halfway done with the experiment. We have just under 11 hours left and we've made no money today, which is insane because of how much money there is in this town. It's okay though. It's okay. I just got to lock in. I'm either going to pull an insane underdog story and make $1,000 within the next 10 hours roughly, or I'm going to crash and burn and make $0 in America's richest town. I I I don't really know what else to say besides let's grind.
The next strategy of my foolproof plan for today was to DM local businesses here in Newport Beach. After reaching out to businesses for about an hour, I quickly realized that that wasn't going to work. Ah, oh my gosh, this is so unbelievably hard.
I just can't believe I didn't make any money today. I did zero strategies that were smart. I began spiraling, searching for any form of venture that could make money. I even resorted to calling random people I found on Zillow. All because I saw an Instagram reel of someone making a lot of money wholesaling real estate.
>> We're sorry. You have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. If you feel you have reached >> After only 14 hours of starting my own business, I was once again searching up how to get rich in 2026.
But luckily for me, I have this one thing called perseverance. Something no other YouTuber has. It's unique to me. I will stay on Zillow for as long as it takes. Grinding comes, DMing, and calling old people until my voice falls off. The last thing I plan to do is fall asleep.
I fell asleep and slept like a baby. I'm sorry.
You know, waking up today in this van with a $10 million view as the sun comes up makes me think back to the question that motivated this entire experiment.
How much money can I make in America's richest town?
Well, now I have another question. If I strand myself in a random town with $100 and have 90 days to build a $1 million business, could I do it?
>> My plan was really about people. Wasn't about money. Do you have any business advice?
>> I mean, it's just get up early and stay up late and just work your way off as an entrepreneur.
>> It was never about the million dollars.
I knew I could get to the million if I could find the right people.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, I am sitting in a Lamborghini right now.
>> Keeps driving >> 100%.
>> And I'm sure you'll get to where you need to get to.
>> I may regret saying this, but once I get to 1 million subscribers, I will do Undercover Billionaire for 90 days.
>> Hardest thing I've ever done in my whole life. Number one. Number two, I would never do it again. Number three, I would tell anybody that's thinking about doing Undercover Billionaire, don't do it.
>> In the meantime, I'm going to go blow this $1, baby. Um, yeah.
