In criminal trials, the legal standard for self-defense requires that the defendant faced an imminent threat to their life, and the burden of proof rests on demonstrating that the threat was real and immediate, regardless of the defendant's race or background; evidence and witness testimony must be carefully evaluated to determine whether the circumstances truly justified the use of deadly force.

key witness drops DARK UPDATE in Karmelo Anthony murder trialAdded:
In a stunning admission, the supporters of Carmela Anthony in this murder trial are screaming that this is all racism.
But wait till you hear their reasoning when Savannah Hernandez interviews them uh in person. Also, New York legislators, they're looking to change the definitions once again of mother and father and what is going on in the election system in California. We'll talk about that as well. Let's start with this first clip from Savannah. Look at this. If evidence does come out that Carmelo was not in fact fighting for his life when he stabbed and killed Austin Metaf, do you think that the black community will accept that?
>> If if evidence shows that he did not, we going to stand by ours regardless. They stand by theirs.
>> We going to stand by ours regardless.
I'm a mother first. I'm a black mother.
Let me put that on there. I'm an African-American mother. So, I have to I have to put away my color first and step into the motherhood. Nobody wants to see their child slain. So I so I I I I do want to send prayers to Austin Austin Medaf. They're they're family, but at the end of the day, I got to think like, okay, what did you do to them or whatever to cause this to happen? The reaction, we got to start taking accountability for our kids.
>> Yeah. All right. So, shout out to Savannah Hernandez. And let's just go ahead and call it what it is. They don't care about the truth. It doesn't even matter. The fact that he's black, that's all I need to know. I don't care if he intentionally wanted to murder Austin Metaf. I don't care if he didn't even consider self-defense. I don't care if he's completely guilty in the eyes of the law. We need to defend him at all costs. And the question is this, how can you call that justice but in the same breath demand justice from other people in this country? It just doesn't make sense to me. What type of people, what type of community would think that way?
>> Cuz then again, if my kid, that's why I said catch 22. My kid was Carmelo and I feel like his back was up against the wall. I'mma tell you straight up, better mind than yours. Better mind than yours.
So either way it go, everybody loses. A black boy allegedly ordered, and I say allegedly, heavy on the allegedly.
Allegedly murdered somebody. You see what I'm saying? So yeah, this is this is about race cuz if the shoe was on the other foot, we wouldn't give a damn.
>> And here's the other thing about this particular opinion from this woman. She doesn't even know the facts of the case.
So, she's in front of a camera, in front of a microphone, spewing this type of opinion, which is rooted in ignorance, and hasn't even taken time to actually look at the witness statements, which we're going to show you here shortly, where there was a key witness in the case today that testified that clearly contradicts what the defense's case is rooted on, which is self-defense. But she doesn't care about that. Why?
Because he's black. Is that what we're going to do as a country? It doesn't matter about accountability. What matters is that the person is black, so screw it. Yeah, it's it's uncommon times, as I put it.
>> I come out here every Thursday and we pray for people going to court because this we know this is the final frontier of racism and it's legalized here.
>> It was announced yesterday that there's no black jurors that were chosen. What are your thoughts on that?
>> That's why we need God.
That's why we need God and that's why he's going to show who's in control.
>> And and would you be open to giving us your personal insights into the Carmelo Anthony trial and what your thoughts are on it?
>> Um, I just want justice done. You know, we know nobody go to a track meet to murder anybody. Okay, come on. That's an accident. Self-defense. That's what it was. I'm not saying the kid should get off free, but first-degree murder, come on.
>> All right, hold on. If I understand him correctly, we can't have it both ways.
You can't argue that no one goes to attract me to murder someone, but at the same time, uh, Carmela Anthony assumed that he was about to get murdered by a by Austin Metcap, which is why he killed him first. So, how do we square that logic? Exactly. And that's the thing that stands out to me the most. What made and and and according to the reporting that I've seen since this first kicked off, I did not hear or see or read or read anything that led me to believe that if I was Carmelo Anthony that I also would have pulled out a knife and stabbed someone in the chest.
I wouldn't have done that. So, what prompted him to do that exactly? Again, that's going to be up to his attorneys to figure out how to, I guess, explain that to the jury, but it's not racist.
basically he facing the wrong charge for the crime that was committed.
>> Do you think Carmelo is innocent? Do you feel like it's been an unfair response to what happened to Carmelo Anthony?
>> I I I feel that the justice system always overrespond when it comes to us. So definitely I mean you you you look at the charge. It was it was self-defense.
He was he was wrestling with two guys. I don't know what the parameters of it, but it was two people. So, you know, two against one, that's that's self-defense.
>> But you see, a case like this is going to be a great learning lesson for a lot of people, especially people of Texas, because if a teenager is at a football game and two other teenagers walk up to them and they're about to get into a fight, one teenager pulls out a gun and shoots both of them. Is that self-defense?
That's a great question. That is a really good question. Now, because I'm thinking back when I was a high schooler, I don't think that would be self-defense, but maybe I'm wrong. And by the way, I'm not the attorney. So, I I didn't see in the reporting, as I continue to say, that he was on the ground, uh that they were choking him out. Um it it didn't even get to that.
Um and so it was, "Hey, I'm going to remove you from this place cuz you shouldn't be sitting here." Uh it wasn't like if you don't move I'm going to kill you. That wasn't the threat that came from Austin Metaf. So that's where I'm having a hard time saying oh this is without question self-defense. And again this should not be a racial issue. This should be an issue. What is the definition of self-defense of the state of Texas? Because we know depending on the state you're in, that definition could definitely be uh different. Police say the fight started because Anthony was under another team's tent and Metaf told him to leave. Anony's defense attorneys say he stabbed Metaf who was unarmed out of fear as a group was quote turning on him. But prosecutors yesterday in court showed jurors surveillance footage they say tells a different story. The footage, it's grainy and shot from a distance, but reporters inside the courtroom tell us it shows a brief confrontation between Anthony and Metaf. not a larger group before Anthony runs from the scene. And that fight, it only lasted about four minutes or so. Jurors heard emotional testimony from Metaf's track coach. He said that Metaf was helping lead setup efforts that day, which basically means he was in charge of setting up the tent and equipment. The coach testified and said athletes don't just go under other teams tents. This is something that's understood between the athletes. This case has drawn national attention with race becoming a major issue. The final jury does not include any black jurors.
Prosecutors say this case has nothing to do with race and it should be decided on the facts.
>> Okay. There's no shortage of opinions on this particular case. All right. There's going to be people who say this is a racial issue. Uh black people are being made example of the justice system is against them once again and Carmela Anthony is the latest example of that.
Okay. Then there are other people like myself who I'm more focused on the definition of self-defense in the state of Texas. Uh and so why don't we go to one of the journal journalists that are there on the ground reporting from what's happening in the courtroom. Uh she goes on to say this. The judge just told the media not to identify the current witness because he's a minor.
The witness says Carmela Anthony was asked at least 15 times to leave their tent. Anthony refused to leave. The teen says no one ganged up on Carmela.
Witness adds that Carmemelllo was provoking Austin. Witness says Austin Metcap pushed Carmelo, but it wasn't a hard push. That's when Carmemelllo pulled the knife from his uh backpack and stabbed Austin. He adds Carmemelllo tossed the weapon and ran off. The 911 call placed by the witness was then played. So that doesn't sound like, you know, Carmemella Anthony was in trouble.
His life was truly uh threatened by a group of people. They had him pinned down and he had no choice but to pull out his knife. Okay, that's not what I'm hearing here.
>> Only good CRACKER IS A DEAD CRACKER.
>> ONLY GOOD CRACKER is a dead cracker.
>> Only good cracker is a dead cracker.
>> Only good cracker is a dead cracker.
>> Only good cracker is a dead cracker.
Besides the tragedy itself, I would argue what you just heard there is truly disturbing. So, you're over there wanting justice for Carmelo Anthony, but in the same breath, uh, essentially suggesting that white people who are killed is a good thing. So, where's the justice in that exactly? Uh, and obviously you can't take people like that seriously, but these people are a problem. They add to why uh there is a certain level of divisiveness regarding racial issues in America because they eat up the propaganda. Now, I don't believe in any of that stuff. I wasn't raised that way. And that might be the difference maker there. It always goes back to parenting, right? My mother never made it about race. She made it about character. She made it about competence. And she ultimately always made it about common sense. And I would argue what you what you just saw in that clip is so far away from common sense it's not even funny. Now speaking of uh common sense or the lack thereof, let's go to New York as the legislator.
Democrats are pushing a bill that would replace the language in the law, also known as the word mother, uh replacing that word with the term justating parent or non-justating parent. This is once again a piece of legislation that has wokeism written all over it. So, of course, we have to call it out. Listen to this.
>> I thought we'd move past this garbage, but not in New York. A new bill in New York would erase the words mother and father from state child custody and parental laws, replacing them with justating parent and non-justating parent. These changes will fix the one thing ruining child custody law in New York. Words that people understand.
Under the bill, mother would become gestating parent while father would be replaced with non-justating parent, which is also what most wives called them during the third trimester, along with a few colorful adjectives. The bill would also rename paternity proceedings, the cases used to determine a child's biological father. They're going to now name them parentage cases. The first rule of New York government is never use the word that tells you what the thing is. Otherwise, you might have some idea what's being determined.
>> As an advocate of truth, you know that women shouldn't have to share locker rooms with men. [snorts] Uh women shouldn't have to compete against male athletes, and they shouldn't be punished for speaking the truth regarding that.
But across America, that's exactly what's happening. men are allowed uh to compete in women's sports, robbing girls of sponsorships, medals, titles, and safety. Now, the US Supreme Court has heard two cases. This could be a watershed moment in this fight to protect biological reality and fairness.
This is why our sponsor of today's show, Alliance Defending Freedom, needs your voice today. Visit joinadf.com/dory or text d'vory to 83848 to add your name to their declaration and side with truth and fairness or you could scan the QR code on the screen. Uh this is the right moment to push back.
Stand with alliance defending freedom today. Yeah. See this goes back to what we've been communicating on the show for quite some time now. Democrats will make up a problem that essentially doesn't exist. They'll manipulate the data to justify why they're trying to solve this problem. Uh the solution that they deploy to solve the problem um is flawed obviously and the results are terrible.
And when you confront them over it, they will gaslight you. And that's exactly what's going to happen. If Kathy Hokll signs this bill, she'll find out pretty quickly how damaging and how ridiculous this piece of legislation is. She'll be confronted over it. And you know what she's going to do? gaslight the people who criticize her over this is ridiculous for so many reasons. I mean, just pick one. Uh, let's go to this reaction. Bill passed the state senate this week and the state assembly back in March. Governor Hokll proudly calls herself New York's first mom governor.
It's unclear if she'll support this change, though.
>> I'm not familiar with what was introduced late last night, so I'll take a look at it. I have until the end of the year to review them and make a decision. So, I won't be commenting on pending legislation.
New York would join other states like Massachusetts, California, Connecticut, and Colorado to change the definition and wording of parents in their state laws. Democrats argue the bill is necessary to accommodate surrogacy cases and same-sex couples. Now, Governor Hokll's up for re-election this year.
Her main challenger, Republican Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, tells Fox this morning, "This bill is a continuation of war declared on families by Democrats." You see, this is why I'm so critical of the Republican party because um their incompetence will lead to people who govern this way. Uh it will lead to people like that regaining power again in our federal government, which will lead to what? Them looking to change definitions, them looking to change curriculums, and definitely them looking to change the law. And why would they go through all the trouble of doing that? because they have figured out that the best way to get their agenda rooted in our society. When I say they, I'm talking about progressives, people who buy into this woke mindset stuff. The best way to do it is take it to the courts. Do it the legal way. Get just change the law. We're not going to fight with you guys in in in the streets. We won't even debate people over it because we know they don't like debating. No, they'll just go to the courts. And that's exactly what's happening here.
Now, we'll see if Kathy Hokll signs this, which uh you know, something tells me maybe she will, maybe she won't. I mean, she has other problems on her hands. And it's exactly what Tommy Lauren was really uh saying there. It's like, don't you guys have something better to do than to focus on something like this?
>> Well, it's insanity. It's another woke, worthless virtue signal. And I'll tell you, of all the things that they could be working on in the New York legislature, this is what they've chosen to dedicate their time and energy to.
Something as ridiculous as this. And and I'll tell you, not only is this a waste of time and of resources, not only is this an insult to mothers and fathers and parents, I would also say to your point, I spend every weekend in New York for the big weekend show, and I love doing the big weekend show, and it would probably be a lot easier if I lived in New York because I work there on the weekends. But I'll tell you what, to your point, what prevents me from moving there, even though it's more convenient, I'll tell you things like this. You know what disturbs me also about this is that when we go to criticize this piece of legislation, they're going to call us bigots. They'll call us racists. They'll say that uh you know, Trump supporters or MAGA or you know, conservatives are so obsessed uh with stuff like this.
They're hateful in their criticism. No, I I just respect the term common sense and this ain't it. All right, let's also go to our next story, which definitely is not common sense as well. I mean, this is insanity. So, the election results coming out of Los Angeles uh for the mayoral race, the primary to be uh more clear and the uh governor's race as well is it's it's head scratching. Um we already know it's been a few days now since this happened. And what do you see here on the screen? It is still sitting at 64.3% of the expected votes. 64%.
That's it. That's all they've counted.
What is the excuse exactly? Well, here's what Fox News had to say about it. Take a look.
>> We are at LA County's massive processing center. This is the location where all of the ballots are supposed to be shipped and counted. And in the latest ballot dump, LA County says it processed 81,000 votes since the first big election night numbers, but there's still 688,000 to go. Karen Bass is strengthening her lead, picking up about 12,000 votes yesterday. Spencer Pratt added about 6,000 and remains in second. Third place, Nitia Ramen added nearly 11,000 votes, eating away at Pratt's lead. Now, in the governor's race, an estimated 60% of the vote is processed. Republican Steve Hilton remains number one.
Democrat Javier Burera picked up 158,000 votes and is closing in on Hilton within about one percentage point. Democrat Tom Styer in third. Now, the most recent mail-in ballots that were processed are favoring Democrats as many analysts suggested they would. inside the ballot processing center here in LA County. Any ballot that was postmarked by election day Tuesday must be counted by law. The process takes so long, in part because each ballot must have its signature verified, and if there's an issue, there's a 10day period to have it cured.
California's Secretary of State is defending it all, writing, "Accuracy comes before speed." California is the nation's largest voting state with millions of ballots to process and count. Taking the time to do this work correctly protects voters rights and ensures the integrity of our election.
Now, the state of California statewide says it still has 3.6 million ballots left to be counted. So, at this rate, uh it is very likely that we'll be standing here on Monday, reporting to you on Monday with many more ballots to be counted.
>> Yeah. Well, unfortunately, regarding the Secretary of State, uh she missed a vote on that because Florida counts their votes faster. Uh, Texas counts their votes faster. Uh, I listen, I could even reason with the idea of 72 hours, which would be today technically, like by today, this Friday, because it happened on Tuesday. This Friday, right now, as you're watching this video, we should have a definitive winner, not in the next two weeks. And the crazy part about it is it got the attention of President Trump, which is why uh the assistant US attorney had to stop by the facility today. Take a look at this. Oh, that would be I mean we can't enter the room, but we can but the closest we can point in the direction where that is.
>> Yeah. So, this is our um bullpen area and this is the closest we can be.
>> Yeah. Come on in.
>> This goes back to what I was saying about how progressives are using the courts and the legal system to essentially change the actual board game in their favor. I think that's exactly what California has done with their election system. They've changed the law in a way that you can argue that it's cheating, but in their law, in the way it's written and the way things are enforced, it's legally cheating essentially. I mean, uh, we have stories of these ballot boxes already being stuffed, uh, overflowing, some are being burned, some have been broken into. It it the mailing system in my opinion should only be reserved for people who are disabled, military, people who are sick, people who practically cannot physically show up to the voting booth and cast their ballot. That I mean that's as clear as day because what happens is it's easy for an election system to be vulnerable uh when you're stuffing ballot boxes and also u the fact that you don't even have to show your ID. Now just imagine that for a second. How do I know this ballot that I put in the mail actually came from the person? How do you know that exactly?
You don't know it.
>> I need to go shopping today.
>> Oh, it's so full.
>> They're falling out.
>> But good. It's a good thing.
>> There's a line there that may already be full, but there is another dropbox at 1301 West Olive Avenue and it's like 5 minutes away. Okay.
>> And there shouldn't be a line and it should be able to >> the Joslyn Center.
>> The center 1301 West Olive Avenue. Can you put it in the mail now or is it too late?
>> Oh, it's too late.
>> Okay.
>> That was a clip in Burbank where uh people were celebrating the idea that these ballot boxes are overflowing. Like that's actually a great thing. I mean, I would argue no, that's not a great thing. Um that means that the system is breaking. Okay. You don't want ballots being lost. U I mean, if you believe the election is secure, that's the last thing you would want, right? I don't know. I just think the truth is very clear in California. Their election system is not set up efficiently. They say they have it this way to make sure that every vote is counted. And instead of just go going out and just saying, "Hey, listen. In California, we're going to do something that the rest of the country refuses to do." When there is an official election day, it's a day off.
meaning you can go down to your uh you know your uh local district or wherever your voting site is at and you're not going to be penalized for it because it's an official uh state holiday. I mean that would make sense to me and I would cut down on the mailins and I would cut down on harvesting and I would require people to physically show up and show ID. But we know if we were to do that I don't think things would go uh very well for Democrats particularly in California. But why don't you guys give me your reaction to all these stories in today's video? Starting with uh Carmelo Anthony. I mean, what do you make of the current status of the case? Some of these reactions you heard uh a good cracker is a dead crack. I mean, who says things like that, right? Um and then why don't you uh share your thoughts about New York, what they plan to do about the language there regarding mother and father. Um but uh do not forget also to like this video, share this video with your family and friends, and please do not forget to subscribe to our channel.
