I hope you have cool weekend plans. I am going to be unboxing because I have quite a few things here. I stacked them up, set them aside so that we could be nosy and dig into the goods together. I really love doing that with you guys on Fridays where we can kind of chitchat, dig into the new, decide what needs its own review, maybe swatch a few things. So, here we go. I have a big like Lanz package here, too. I'm excited to crack into that. She's got a knife.

[00:01:34]Everyone's just hopping in. Sorry. I read a comment. Someone was like, "Your glass straw is driving me nuts. It's like nails on a chalkboard." And to be honest, that's all I can hear now, too.

[00:01:45]Like, I'm annoying myself with the glass straw. And then people are like, "Be careful with the glass straw." It's that whole thing. So, I'm like, "Oh my gosh, I need to like order another straw."

[00:01:55]Can it be BPA free? Like, it's a whole thing. But I don't want to drink out of the cup because then I ruin my lipstick, which I'm wearing a lot of lip product right now, you guys. I've been filming things. She is overlined. She is contoured. She is rocking a wing. Like, the makeup is makeuping today. And uh and I need a straw, so I'll try not to bang it around too much.

[00:02:32]Everything tastes better through a glass straw. I agree with you to Aaron. I agree. I feel like I can taste the plastic when I'm using a plastic straw.

[00:02:42]I'm not going to use a metal straw either. Like there's something that scares me more about that than a glass straw, to be honest.

[00:02:49]Is three too many go- go juices in a day? I mean, it depends on your caffeine sensitivity. I typically have three.

[00:02:56]It's kind of like a whole thing. Okay, you guys, I love caffeine. I have to tell you, like my yerba mates that I love that they discontinued. And lot a lot of people were like, "If that had never happened, Go-Go Juice would have never happened." And you know what? You might be right. Because I was just so content with my Yerba Mate. It had 150 milligrams of caffeine in every bottle.

[00:03:16]And there was a point where I was drinking three of those a day. So that was like a crazy amount of caffeine.

[00:03:22]This feels very moderate. Like what I like about it is it gives me really like beautiful focus. It's not an intense focus. It's just all of a sudden I'm speaking more clearly. I'm more motivated. I'm definitely feeling more awake and more alert. And it rides out and doesn't drop off. It just kind of it's like fades out. And then you know you're kind of back to normal. whatever.

[00:03:46]If you find yourself having an afternoon slump, you can have another one. I love drinking them just because not only they make me feel good, but they taste really good. I find it really refreshing. So, I do three now. It's terrible. I like you guys know I've been very open about this. I have an addictive personality.

[00:04:05]That's why I don't drink alcohol anymore. If you look at the beauty room, you're like, "Oh, yeah, that that definitely makes sense. Addictive personality." Like, we're seeing it. Uh, so to have like jars filled with the stick packs like an unlimited supply, I have to catch myself and be like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." Like, we do not always need to do this much every day.

[00:04:27]Like, pump the brakes, slow it down.

[00:04:30]Yes, you have it like on hand in ample amounts, but like slow it down. Uh, so I have found that for me the best is three a day. If it's like a real fun day, it's a Friday night, if I'm going out, if I'm doing something like that, then I'll have four. Um, and that might like irk some people. But if you think of like how much caffeine is in a Red Bull or an Alani, 75 milligrams is not going to totally like make you lose your mind or anything. But that being said, everybody's sensitivity to caffeine is different. So, I would go off of that.

[00:05:16]Your OG fans are here with you, ride or die, and you have faced so much adversity and come back stronger, and I'm here for it. Well, thank you. I have. You know what's really amazing is I've been through so much. I've learned so much from like push back, push back, push back that yes, while I have a beating heart and my feelings definitely get hurt, like I'm not a robot. Uh I've learned how to deal with it a lot more effectively, I've learned to understand that a lot of negativity is necessary in the conversation for a business to really thrive and grow. So, I get in this place where I'm like, I'm grateful for it. I'm fine with it. Do I agree with it? No, I don't. Would I like to say a lot about it? Sure. Um, but I'm not gonna like get in a fight with anyone like in the comment section or anything like that. Um, but I like I feel good. I feel really really proud of what we have done launching unfair advantage. It was not easy. I'm self-funding the whole thing. And if you think about, you know, getting to a lab and putting even the PR package together, the when I say PR, I keep calling this PR, but like customers are getting this box. Like I wanted the box to be prettier than this like basic cardboard, and that costs money, but I wanted the whole thing to be like a beautiful experience the whole way around for it to be fun and campy and look like it tastes good. And the whole thing just had to have a different vibe. And you know, I put this together myself. I didn't go and get a business partner, so it's been a ton of work. Um, and when you put that kind of work in, of course, the push back is going to make you feel a certain way. But I'm so proud of this product. I know it's good that I'm just putting one foot in front of the other. I'm excited for the feedback that's already pouring in. And I think I think this is going to be a really exciting brand. I think we're going to launch a lot of cool products.

I just threw like one roller in the front and kind of really like barely curled again, like barely did anything. And I'm like, "Oh my gosh." Like this never happens. Like there's something about that mousse that keeps your roots like dry in a good way. I'm here for it. I love it.

Their 101 balm is like an absolute must for me. I will use that for so many different things. Like even when James is like, "Oh, my knuckles are dry." Or like um any like cut or anything like I'll use Lanolin Lolo Lips. It works really, really well.

[00:09:36]Can I review the Patrick Tawa transition brushes? Can you imagine? I think I've had enough enough push back for one week. I'm just going to politely cruise past that one. I'm not on the PR list anymore and I'm just gonna me. We're just gonna move into whatever else is next. You know, I think there are plenty of reviews online so far. What do you guys think about all of that? Are you like I'm just I I can't I got to keep to my own drama. I can't get into anybody else's. Kathy says, "I'm on day four of using my Go-Go Juice. I'm definitely a fan. I've been mixing mine with Selzer water. Delicious." That is how my mom likes it. And then she sent me a photo of hers with celzer water and then she put a dash of cream in it and she's like, "Oh my gosh, this is like dessert.

[00:10:24]It's so good." So that's another way that you can do it. It's delicious. Oh, and another person said that they mixed their Go-Go with chocolate protein and that it tasted like a chocolate with the raspberry in the center and that was so so good. And I'm like, I love that you guys are coming up with different ways to drink it. I think that's awesome.

I have been I did a different live earlier this morning. My makeup has been on all day and like I'm wearing so much lip product right now that I'm like it's like a house of cards. I think that if I put anything else on the whole thing's going to like collapse. So, we're just gonna swatch on the hand.

[00:12:39]But these look really promising. They're like nice and thick, but still super shiny. I love And they sure do smell amazing. Butterscotch is underrated. Agreed. 100%.

[00:13:05]It is sweetened with raw honey. So when I am going to do a treat, I kind of am like, "Oh, like like it's not so like it's fine. Like my body can handle it better than just like plain old processed sugar." But the butterscotch flavor is so so so good. And I think butterscotch is absolutely underrated.

[00:16:30]And like the price as you order larger, as your brand scales gets lower and lower and lower, like it's a whole mathematical thing when you're first starting out and you're not ordering like a 100,000 plus of any one given part of an entire brand. Like meaning the box, the packaging, the ingredients.

[00:16:48]Like there are so many different moving parts. It all is so freaking expensive in the beginning especially. So we're pricing it very fair. We feel you're getting a beautiful formula. If you compare our nutrition panel to almost anything else out there, you're going to see why. You're going to see the quality of the ingredients. And so I had to, you know, ice roll and do a little eye patch on the eyes this morning. Like look, I'm human and like people can be absolute jerks for no good reason, but it says more about them than it does you. So like I'm all for uh constructive criticism. If you don't like something, like that's cool, but you don't have to like hammer it down. Those were the comments that to be honest I have no tolerance for. So people that are like, "Why would you block me? Why would you block me if you come into my home and you throw crap at me? Like, I'm going to have you leave. Like, you're not welcome here anymore. So, that's just where it is for me. I have no pause anymore on blocking people. I don't care. I don't care if you have been blocked.

[00:19:16]There's a reason. I don't just go around blocking anybody. It's literally if you're being aggressive and all over my dream and like really taking things way out of hand, then yeah, no, goodbye. I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. I've put so much into this. Like, I've put everything into this. I have.

[00:19:38]And I'm proud of it. And I'm going to work really hard. And I have incredible work ethic. Incredible work ethic. I have shown you guys that in the past, you know. Yes, I haven't been 5 days a week the way I had hoped to come back and do that while juggling building brands and then having my health completely crumble, which I haven't been as open about that. Like, I've been open, but it's not like you guys see me when I'm really going through it. So, I'm in a much better place now. And I feel like I can handle more. And I'm going to pour everything I've got into what I'm doing. I'm going to build it.

Like, we all love to drink a great, you know, caffeinated beverage. Not all, but many people when we're getting ready in the morning, so it can be a part of your routine, but this is a brand that I hope to expand into a more mass retail situation. So, I'm I'm pouring into it.

And like that means so much to me that people are seeing that and are able to enjoy it with, you know, stomach sensitivities and different autoimmune issues themselves. Like this needed to happen. It needed to happen.

[00:23:06]You know, I'll be honest, I was kind of really mesmerized by the whole biohacking thing just because it seemed like a way that I could help a lot of these issues that I was having. And like in essence, doing a red light panel is biohacking. It's really just a way of um healing the body in a more scientific avenue and hacking the system of your biology. And but you know, some of it is a little out there. Like I kind of had to press pause and be like, I don't know. Like I don't know that I need to be that regimented. I know my body. I'm really dialed in intuitively.

[00:23:45]And she has spoken up loud and clear about what she likes and what she doesn't like over this past year especially. Um so yeah.

[00:23:58]Okay. Let's dig in. I'm trying to open this. It's kind of hard to open. This is a tinted SPF from One Skin. They use peptides that kind of attack the skin um from like prevent it from attacking itself. Like, how do I explain this? I had an educator teach me about this product. The peptide that they use goes after the zombie cell. The zombie cell is what's telling all of your other cells like, "Hey, let's all die." and then you get aging acceleration. So what their peptide does is it goes in, identifies that zombie cell and kind of kicks them out, blocks them, deletes them, and then they can't go and communicate with your other cells any information about, hey guys, let's all accelerate our aging. So it can slow down the aging process. I find it really fascinating and I love their products.

[00:24:51]So this is an SPF 30 and it's tinted.

[00:24:54]Let's just give a little squeeze and see what we have going on. Oh, it is very tinted. This is the SPF that I've been using the most and I really love it. It does not make me break out. Okay, I am absolutely all about this.

[00:25:35]One skin is expensive, but I have to say against every other peptide item out there, their science is backed, proven, like they are legit. You are getting what you pay for. Oh, this is from Holo Taco. You guys, I don't use regular nail polish right now, but let's take a peek at what is in here.

[00:25:56]I should take a vote on what flavor. We hope to do that in the future. I mean, the other the next flavor that's coming out is already finished. It's delicious, but as we expand and even do things that aren't caffeinated, like I'm so curious what everyone's favorite flavor combos or what their favorite flavor is. And a lot of the feedback has made me go, "Oh my gosh, like that's a great idea."

[00:26:17]Like, I hadn't thought of that. So, keep it coming. All right, we got some wild nail polish from Holo Taco. Very on brand. These are like glittery, beautiful polishes. I'm going to set this one aside for a giveaway as well, just because I don't think I'll get to that with the way that I'm doing my nails right now. Every 3 weeks, she is doing gel. Not to say that I won't ever go back to regular polish, but for now, it's just more of a timesaver for me than sitting at home and doing my nails all the time.

[00:26:59]Okay, Milk Makeup came out with a tubing brow gel and I did not like it at all.

[00:27:04]Is this like a new thing? Tubing everything. And I think Urban Decay just came out with a tubing liner, which is like you put on the liner, you can just kind of peel it right off. I don't know about it. What do you guys think? I kind of think it's a little a little gimmicky, but I'll give it a try.

[00:27:22]What's the sweetener in GoGo? Is monk fruit and kmpe fruit and it's delicious.

[00:27:28]It doesn't have that weird diet aftertaste. It's just very, very pleasant. Very like rounded in flavor, very juicy. And no stevia. No stevia for me. A lot of people are like, "Why don't you like stevia? It gives me a migraine.

[00:28:36]She has a mascara. Well, first off, she has amazing lashes. Um, and her mascara looks phenomenal. I will be so honest. I have been so loyal to tubing only. So, I'm curious to try this out and see how I like it. Now, I've always said that creators make the best makeup products, like beauty creators, because they know what works, they know what doesn't.

[00:28:57]They're really good judges of, you know, what should be in the market and like where products fall on their face. So, I think this is going to be amazing. Nice long wand. It's a rubberized wand. It has a little bit of a curve, and I love a brown mascara. So, I am so excited to try this out.

I want to hear what you guys really think like of the taste and the experience and all of it. The amount of waste PR scent is so sad. That's the industry. That's just what it is. Look, I was one of the first to ring the bell on PR being absolutely ridiculous and wasteful. I used to go off on this. If we remember back in the day, PR would not be sent in a pack like this. There would be like some monstrosity, some huge box, you know, and like one little mascara. And I always hated that. So, I agree with you.

[00:30:38]I think a lot of a lot of the packaging is a waste and I'm not the biggest fan of that. But, you know, this is this is a booming industry now where people get to try product, review it, and it's going to exist whether people are reviewing it online or whether it was back in the day sent to an editor at a magazine. So, it's not really anything that's going away.

I literally worked at Starbucks and when this is I don't know if they still do this or not but back in the day if you were a new employee and this is in Seattle you had to go to their campus in downtown Seattle and you had to go and be trained to be a barista and be trained on all of their corporate um this or that. like there was a whole day of training that you like were required to go and do before you could kind of graduate into being a barista. Like you would be, you know, cleaning the bathroom and the tables and filling like coffee filters and being in charge of like ringing people up, but if you wanted to like get into actually making drinks, you had to go and do this full day thing. And no one told me that there was a dress code. Like no one told me.

[00:33:19]And this is back when I didn't drive.

[00:33:21]So, I had to freaking take a bus to get, you know, I'm like 17 years old. I'm taking a bus to go downtown Seattle to this training event. And I show up and everyone's wearing black and white and I'm wearing a long plaid skirt, a red leather jacket that I got at a thrift shop that like went all the way down like a long trench. I'm wearing weird Doc Martens. Um, like literally stood out like a clown. And I walk in, they're like, "You didn't know that you have to wear black and white?" And I'm like, "No one told me. No one told me." They're like, "Well, you're going to have to sit through the class and you're going to have to come back and take it again, but when you're wearing the proper dress code." And I literally was like losing my mind. Like, look, I can barely afford lunch. I can barely afford the bus. What are you talking about? I have to come back here again and do this again because I'm not wearing white and black.

[00:34:13]And it was like a whole freaking thing.

[00:34:15]Oh my gosh. It was awful. Um, and honestly working at Starbucks, like God bless. This is one of those things where it's like be nice to your barista. Be pleasant because they are up at the crack of dawn to serve you and it's pretty thankless. I literally had a woman throw scones at me one time and that was terrible because I grabbed the wrong one for her three times in a row because all the scones look the same from the back and the little like name of each scone is only where the customer can see it. There's no like name in the back. And so I kept grabbing the wrong one. And on the third try like I would be annoyed too, but she literally threw it at me and it was terrible. And I'm like why are people why are people so mean? So, like when people are like, "Oh my gosh, people are only mean in the comments section. They would never do that in real life." I'm like, "No, they would. They would. Have you ever worked retail?" Because they would. Um, like the Kairens are out everywhere. They would, just so you know. So, I have like such a hard rule. I will not like be around people that are rude to anyone in any service industry. Period. Like, period. Hard stop.

Like I do miss some of the stories because honestly there are some people that you just want to be like are you okay? Like are you okay for real? Um like the things that make people upset or like when someone needs to talk to a manager and you're just like oh my god you know it's kind of funny.

[00:36:17]I totally get it. I am a manager. Yeah.

[00:36:21]It's just, you know, you I kind of miss it though because you get to see so many different personalities. And I will say this, like of course, like working retail, whether I was working at the Gap, working at Starbucks, working at Nordstrom, like you have people that are bizarre and want to make your life a living hell. It feels like on purpose because that's like how they have control in their life is to kind of like push your buttons. It's a weird thing.

[00:36:44]But then you also have people that are like wonderful. Like when I was doing makeup at Nordstrom, I had so many like wonderful moments with great people where I got to connect with them and do their makeup and they were so appreciative and like there was a lot of feelood. So it wasn't all bad, but there are some like super funny stories where you're just like, "Oh my gosh, yeah, that happened. That happened. Need to start using my ESR Body Plane." I have the Body Plane. I have never tried the oil though, so I'm excited that they sent this to me.

[00:37:20]I used to work in retail as a maintenance associate and someone left a medical bag in the bathroom stall and I'm like, I have to take this crap.

[00:38:06]So, I don't know how much I've mentioned of this um but I used to sell jewelry at Costco. So, that was another retail job that I had. And the thing is when you work a road show is what it was called.

[00:38:18]It was a jewelry road show. I would travel from Costco to Costco to Costco all over the country. And you would have to work from open to close for 10 days straight. So, you saw everything when you were in Costco. And one of the funnier ones was a guy that was trying to steal, I kid you not, golf clubs. He was trying to steal golf clubs. It was an old man and he literally shoved them down his pants. So he was like walking funny and was trying to get past the woman that checks the receipts on the way out of Costco and where we were set up was like right near the front and you could just watch people coming in and leaving all day long. And like that was one of those moments where I'm like, "Oh my god." Like like I just want to know the thought process. Do you know what I mean? Like did this come to you on the spot or like were you at home and you're like I got to drive down to Costco and like make this happen. Like I want to know the full tea. Like what? Like what what was that? You know, I also saw a person return a rotisserie chicken cuz we could see like the return section too. And it was just like the bones. It was just the bones. And of course, like when you're bored working from like open to close, like I would make friends with so many people in the location wherever I was at. And I'd wander over and I'm like, "So, you got some bizarre returns today." And the rotisserie chicken was like a big one.

[00:39:43]It was like, "Yeah." And like Costco policy was like, "You got to return it."

[00:39:47]I was like, "What did they say?" And they're like, "That it was dry." And so they had to refund a chicken that was eaten that was completely like it was just bones. And I just thought that was so funny, like hilarious.

[00:40:05]I swear if I tried to steal one single golf golf ball, I'd be caught. Dude, me too. Okay. Like I accidentally stole eyes shadow when I was gosh, I had to have been like 10 or 11. I was in the body shop and I was just like, of course, I would wander off and go look at makeup. Hello. Like, this has been a lifelong thing for me. So, I'm in the body shop and it used to be back in an era where your mom would be like, "Meet me at the fountain in an hour." And you're like, "Bye, mom." You know, I'm like freaking 10. I go in the body shop.

[00:40:37]I don't have money to buy anything. I'm just ooing and aawing and looking. And I'm holding this like metallic champagne shadow and I'm swatching it and I'm looking at it and I pick up the one that you can purchase and my sister was like calling outside the shop. She's like, "Get out here." And like I ran out the store and I got to where my mom was and I realized I was holding the eyehadow and she made me march back in that store and walk up to the counter and apologize and the whole thing. Um, I felt bad. I did feel bad, but then part of me was like, "Man, I almost got an eye shadow."

Like, I don't even have any like powders left. Like, I got rid of everything. That was like my only regret from the declutter. I was like, "Why did you have to get rid of almost everything in your brow drawer?

Like the doughut jelly applicator is so nice. I have been loving these. This is very much a like it stands apart from a sea of this kind of product that is everywhere. It has a twist to open component on the tube itself. So you don't have crap just like oozing out of the tube and I love that.

I have almost bought this so many times and then for whatever reason I'm just like, "No, it's probably not going to give me enough coverage. Probably won't like it because I do like a little more coverage than skin tints provide." But I have to say, oh that might be way too light for me.

[01:10:28]Ah, it's gonna be too light for me. Gosh darn it. Um, I have to say I am enjoying skin tints more than I ever have in my whole life. Like legitimately obsessed with the Victoria Beckham skin tint.

[01:10:42]Love the Make Beauty one. Um, I love There was one more that I was super into recently. Anyway, long story short, there are days where I'm like, I just want my skin to look fresh. I don't want to do the contour. or I don't want to do the big thing. I want to do quick makeup and be out the door. And that's where a skin tint can really come into play nicely. So, I'm open to trying them out.
