Chiropractic decompression and release techniques involve applying controlled force to joints and tissues to relieve tension, improve mobility, and restore proper alignment. These techniques work by releasing tight muscles, correcting pelvic positioning, and addressing structural restrictions throughout the body. The process typically includes assessment of tight spots, followed by targeted adjustments that may produce audible cracking sounds as joints release tension. Different areas of the body respond differently to these techniques, with some patients experiencing more significant releases than others. The therapeutic effects often include improved posture, increased range of motion, and enhanced fluidity in movement.

She Flew From the UK for This… Her Neck CRACKED Loud 😳Added:
[laughter] >> You hear a crack?
And then be ready.
And then close.
There it goes.
>> [laughter] [music] >> I have really fun people visiting today.
So this is Sarah and her friend Sally.
Sarah's the one that's going to do a treatment today. And where are you guys from? Tell us. From the UK. But where specifically? Uh we're sort of in between London and Oxford. Very nice.
Um I've been to both places.
>> Okay. Yeah, really nice. I went with my daughter a couple of years ago and you know, we just had some a lot of great days to see things. So it was really good.
>> were you there for? Hm? How long? Uh 6 days. Okay. So we we moved around, but um we mostly stayed in London. You found me through YouTube originally, right?
Was that a couple of years ago? Yep, a couple of years ago, yeah. So I've also watched your animal channel as well. So Thank you, I appreciate that. All right, and do you do you follow me on YouTube?
>> [laughter] >> All right, get out of here.
You need to leave. I'm going now, I promise. Okay.
No, she can stay. We're going to do the CFR today, correct?
>> Yep. Cranial facial release, and we're going to work on your neck and mid back and lower back. You said you sometimes feel like your posture's off, right?
>> Mhm. So we we want to look at that, too.
So let's get started. Uh Sally, I'll do the treatment, you don't have to help me. Perfect. I'll be following for tips and tricks.
>> Okay, so you're going to sit there. How many days will you be in New York?
Uh we go back tomorrow. Yeah, it's only three nights, so quick trip. Yeah. And do you have anything planned like dinners or museums or anything?
>> This was the main thing on our on our list of things to do. Yeah, really?
Yeah.
I booked this months ago.
Wow. I thought what you were really going to say was, "We're here to see, you know, the museum or the theater and we thought, "Why not see that guy anyway, as long as we're here."
No.
Aw.
I'm here for my birthday, so When's your birthday? Uh it was It was Wednesday. Happy birthday. Thank you. It was a big one, my 50th. 30th?
No.
>> [laughter] >> No. It's your 30th birthday, right? Add 20 onto that.
No, congratulations. That's awesome. But yeah, so I wanted to see you and I What type of work do you do or what do you do back in the UK?
Um just sort of administrative really, desk work, so >> Administrative, okay.
>> Yeah. So I'm trying to find all your tight spots. You're very tight in here through the this middle part of the thoracic or the mid back and then up in here.
Yeah.
>> And then here at the fifth lumbar and then out here in the sacrum, do you feel that? I do. And then the hips, too.
So let's do something. Let's test a little bit.
So Sarah, you're going to lift one leg at a time like this. Watch.
And then this one, okay? Yeah. Start with this one. Lift it as high as you can.
Whoa. It's good I got out of the way. I was afraid. [laughter] Almost took my Almost took my teeth out.
>> Sorry. No, I'm just joking. I wasn't even close. Now now do this one.
They looked about the same, didn't they?
Yeah.
Um let's use my medical equipment here.
>> [snorts] >> It's a broomstick.
Okay. So now lift the first leg and I'll hold the stick where it touches, okay?
Good. Now put that down. Do the next one.
Oop. Sorry.
>> So the right one came up a tiny bit higher, but they were the same, you know.
Sometimes you'll see them drastically different, you know?
And that would mean something. You know, could be the lower back or the sacrum.
But they look normal to me. So, we didn't find anything yet. Aw. You're still the same person.
>> Okay.
You didn't change yet. I think generally the left side for me is tighter.
Like whether it's your neck or anywhere in the body. Yeah. Do you feel some of these muscles? Yeah.
>> [snorts] >> All right. Now, I'm going to be up here for a second, okay? On the left.
Is that too strong or does it feel okay in a therapeutic way?
It's okay. Okay. Yeah.
If you need Sally to hold your hand, she's right here.
>> [laughter] >> Do you feel that spot here? Yeah, I do.
I think with all the walking we've been doing as well.
>> to lift this leg now, okay? I'm going to lift up and just work this a little bit.
You could feel that, right? You feel the tightness in there? Yeah.
Okay.
All right, good. Your hips are very tight and your pelvis is pitched and that's why I think you you were telling me earlier before we started the film that you feel you're a little forward, right? So, I want to bring your hips back this way.
And to do that, we're going to do the pelvis together like this. But come lower on the table so you're on the piece.
Okay. First, we're going to start here.
Then I'm going to turn this way.
I'm going to literally tilt your pelvis back.
You're very observant cuz you you described it perfectly to me. Did I?
Yes.
I think just because of I I get a massage and pilates, think you should get used to what's not right, don't you?
There you go.
Okay.
So listen. Yeah. Turn on your side facing Sally and let the hips rock towards me.
Wow, that was a lot.
>> [laughter] >> Tell them what happened.
Come around this way, get her. Wow, that was a lot. That was >> There was like a whole string of them, right?
>> had that before. Yeah.
No. But I set it up a little bit. So I took time, I used the table to stretch you, I did some muscle releases.
>> Yeah. I adjusted the pelvis a few times with the drop and you could see I was putting a lot of force into it. We were chatting but I was like boom. Boom. You know, really hitting it. It took strength cuz your pelvis has been locked.
>> Mhm. Not in a good way. No. So turn this way and then that allowed me to get a really big release when it was time.
Yeah, I've never had one that a lot much before. Good, good.
And there was another good one.
So that one >> [laughter] >> I don't know if this is big as the first one but it was good, right?
>> Yeah. No, yeah. I I Yeah.
>> almost the same.
>> Yeah. This is for Sally to hear.
>> They don't Oh.
They don't normally No.
They don't normally?
There we go.
It's very weird, isn't it?
Ooh.
Could [laughter] you hear that over there?
That one didn't go. All right, there's more.
Here we go.
Big breath in.
>> [sighs and gasps] [laughter] >> That was good, too. Could you hear that one from where you were?
We heard it though, right? That was good.
Yeah, again, I've never had it, so yeah.
It's good good cracks. Okay, so let's keep going. There's more. Is there?
Should we do all of them?
>> Go on then. All right, good there.
That was one there.
And there was another, but they were muffled a little bit because it was underneath you.
>> Yeah, that second one was yeah.
So [snorts] next I'm going to look at the hand and the wrist.
We're going to come right in there.
There?
Oh, do you do elbows?
Elbow's good though.
Good.
>> [laughter] >> Good.
There's your elbow.
>> [laughter] >> All right, that part's good.
Now, I'm going to have you sit over here.
No, no. Sarah, you can't leave us.
Okay.
Sit on this little box, Sarah, cuz your neck is out.
Let this go a little bit, so it can get like a little >> I did guard. I I'm sorry.
>> Hm? I did guard. [clears throat] You did what?
>> I guard.
Guard? A guard? I thought you said you're God. Well, No, that's it.
>> I was impressed. A God came all the way to visit me for 3 days in New York.
>> [laughter] >> But you guard.
>> I I feel I did I know I did.
>> G U A R D U A R D like you brace yourself, you hold on. Okay. And you're You're quite quite god like also.
>> [laughter] >> Okay, so you're ready?
You're going to drop your head into my palm this way.
>> [laughter] >> WOW.
>> [laughter] >> GOOD ONE, RIGHT?
>> OOH. I I got past >> I heard that out there. I got I got past your guard on that one.
Could you hear Could you [laughter] hear that?
And even her neck even cracked.
It just the whole room cracked.
I've never had that before. All right, I'm so glad.
And and you're okay, too, right?
>> [laughter] >> But do you see why she wanted to see me?
This was it. Yeah. She like knew that she had some tension spots that were there for years, right?
>> Yeah.
All right, I'm so >> Well, I've never I've never had this.
Okay, so you're going to drop your head this way.
Mhm. I don't know if it's going to go that way. We're going to switch to I'm going to use this finger instead.
Just to get that spot.
Next, you're going to lie on your back.
We're going to get Sally involved.
Sally, you're going to hold her legs, okay? But let me get her set up first.
So you're going to lie on your back.
I was looking forward to this. Okay.
The Y strap. This is the what we call this the Y strap.
She knows all the terminology.
Wait wait till we're set up. You I'm sorry.
>> No, I mean see so you don't get tired.
Okay, so that looks good and we're going to begin to stretch. Now you can lean into it. Big breath in.
What did you feel?
>> [laughter] >> Are you still with us?
A lot of crap. Where?
Mainly here. Yeah.
You should thank Sally. She was really a big part of that.
Wow.
>> the intensity of that, right?
>> Yeah.
Remember how one side really cracked and then the other side didn't?
There it goes.
So, that's going to help, right? Stand here and then just say you feel. Maybe walk a few paces.
Yeah.
Oh.
That's good. It's like you're drunk.
You feel nice though? Yeah. Okay, good.
Just a bit sore in that, though. All right.
>> Yeah. That might be Yeah, that was a lot. That might be a little That was a lot. That might be sore for a day because we I worked you hard today. I didn't take it easy. Do you want a free adjustment? You want to try it? No charge for you cuz you're the bodyguard.
I don't want to I'm not taking any of your time. No, just a quick minute. Like I'm going to do a quick sampling. Go on.
>> A quick She likes to talk.
>> lie face up.
>> Okay.
Under 30 seconds, okay?
This one.
Ooh, there's a big bunch.
How did it feel? Very good. Turn on your side facing me.
Pull this through.
See if we can do a good one like we got for Sarah.
>> Yeah, this is a good one.
>> I'm going to drop your knee down a little bit.
Ooh, that was good. Could you hear from where you were?
>> did, yeah. Good. So, come back this way.
So, this will just be a quick little sampling. Why not? Cuz it was your idea for you guys to come, right?
>> [laughter] >> Ready? Big breath in.
Wow.
That's nice. So, I'm going to do a little spot here.
Nice.
Nice. All right, just a little sampling.
You didn't take any of our time. We're not going to >> [laughter] >> cheat her You're welcome. We're not going to cheat her on time.
How do you feel overall? Yeah, good.
Okay. So, now we're going to do the nose thing.
You're going to lie on your back and then we'll be done, okay? Floppy.
And this is floppy.
Um you have a very petite nose.
>> I know. So, we're going to do our best to It also is crooked since the surgery.
Yeah, it's a little bit off here. It's Here, turn your face this way.
But it's nice and Did you hear a crack?
I heard a crack. Yeah.
Did you hear it, Helen? It's not free surgery. Now, breathe.
>> [laughter] >> Wasn't that interesting? So, I just That was the septum. Mhm.
That one's normal. Okay.
So, that was crazy, right? Ooh. I just heard a pop. Mhm.
Did you like that or did it was too weird? No, it No, that was good. So, now I'm going to place the balloon in your left nostril first, okay?
So, here we go.
There it goes, all the way in.
Sorry to throw that on your leg, Sally.
Big breath in and close.
Did it crack at all or no? Mhm. Okay.
Oh, god. I couldn't hear it. Sometimes I can hear it.
That was weird.
What did you notice?
I felt like I was in a swimming pool.
In a swimming pool. Mhm.
Yeah, that was a lot of pressure.
It's It's intense. That is intense. I wasn't expecting Did it hurt? A little bit?
>> bit. Yeah.
>> Did you hear cracking or separation?
>> Yeah, so it What's it like when water goes right up your nose? Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was a Yeah. It's hard to describe, isn't it? I don't >> It's very hard to People describe it mostly as water pressure. Mhm. And then we've also heard like a bag of chips.
Mhm. But our not french fries that you have like our like our Dorito chips that we have here potato chips. Yeah, it was like a it's it's all like a lots of little Yeah. And then I've heard some people say it sounds like bubble wrap that you pop when you're like obsessively pop cuz you love popping those little Yep. bubbles.
Okay, here we go.
Whenever you're ready.
And then close.
There it goes.
>> [laughter] >> And those were slow ones cuz you're you have a hard nose to navigate.
>> Oh, do I? Sorry. No, it's okay. It's nothing wrong with that. I threw that in your foot.
There's the other one.
Yeah, that was an experience and that's what I come here for. You got an experience.
Did which side was more intense?
Um Were they about the same?
Probably about the same, I think. Yeah.
Did one side feel like it released or cracked more?
No, I think they both sort of poppled and cracked.
>> Yeah. Now take a breath. See what breathing is like.
Oh, I love me to blame my nose, don't I?
So come sit up. There we did it. We had first Sally and then Sarah.
And thank you so much for visiting me.
Can I give you a hug?
>> Oh, I love you.
Happy birthday.
So Beth, can I give you a little hug, too? All All right. Appreciate that. Thank you.
So, um Thank you. What was your favorite part of the experience? Was it the lower back today? Was it the nose? Was it That That first neck >> [laughter] >> The seated one was pretty cool, right?
That That was the biggest.
>> Yeah.
Yeah. That was the biggest. I I quite like the um the mid The mid one was important. Cuz you said you you get tight there quite a bit.
>> Yeah, and that is a postural one, too.
So, as we release that, the body can come up and and center a little bit better cuz when it's caught there, it it's hard to straighten. Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, well, I know that I >> Yeah, so you had that in the middle, and then your hips were pitched forward a little bit, so I set them back. That was a good one. And that I think you'll notice within 24 hours you'll notice you're walking better or walking more with the ease and fluidity.
Okay?
All right. Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you. Thank you. Thank you, everyone.
