They shouldn't come for these people. They the rich trying to oppress the poor."

If I tell you a lot of things that celebrities, media personalities, they overlook when some of these banga social media banga boys and girls, when they post some of these lies, they overlook because they don't want to be tagged as oppressing the poor.

[00:00:34]So, the poor, they take advantage of this. You don't have money for court case. You don't have money to for police matter. You don't have You don't have any family who will even look for you if they throw you in jail.

[00:00:44]But then, you will take your social media platform just because you're looking for one or two Elon Musk coin, you talk about people in a very, very disgusting and heartless manner.

[00:00:56]>> [music] [music] >> So, guys, I want to believe that a lot of you followed the story that made around over the weekend of our Twitter banga boy that goes by the name Swanky Concepts. Yeah, Swanky Concepts was sentenced to two years in prison with an option of fine, I guess. Yeah.

[00:01:20]For a lot of things he posted, you know, against Adekunle Gold and Simi's daughter. Some of them that has to do with that they rest in peace and a lot of things that like unpleasant things.

[00:01:34]What social media does to people these days, people are so heartless that they go for kids. They've left, you know, celebrities and they're going for kids.

[00:01:42]So, when that story came out, you know, the sentencing and all of that, opinions were divided. A lot of who said it was a civil case, the sentence was too much.

[00:01:52]Oh, this is this. Oh, this is that. Oh, because he's a poor guy that the law is so hard on him that the rich people this wouldn't happen to rich people this that that that.

[00:02:06]You see, I have so many things to say about this thing.

[00:02:09]And I'm going to take it from different, you know, angles because on the social media platforms we need to respect ourselves.

[00:02:19]We need to be to be human beings on social media.

[00:02:23]Like the urge to make money on social media should not make us lose humanity that we have to not extend some things to kids and the the the the saddest part is that they know these things are lies.

[00:02:39]Well, because they go they they like a lot of them are just in for the engagement not minding who is hurt who it affects.

[00:02:50]Like the things that we see on social media these days I'm thinking where are we headed as human beings.

[00:03:03]Now, when I saw that you know, um, sentence on social media, initially I didn't even know this guy to be honest until I saw what he posted and I'm like I don't know about you people but when it comes to kids, kids are off limits.

[00:03:22]And you see, we all can argue whether the sentence is too much, 2 years but I'm sure there is a place in the law that they are trying this case based on what he did to a child or what he said about a child, an innocent child.

[00:03:38]Now, for those saying, "Oh, because he is a poor person, the law was so harsh on him." See, I always tell people since we can all agree or we all want to make it look like the law came on him hard because he's poor.

[00:03:54]Then if you know you are a poor person, you know this much. Why not you behave yourself? Why not Why are you putting yourself in a situation where the law will take its course on you because you are poor.

[00:04:07]And it will be hard on you because you are poor.

[00:04:10]Since you know that that you're so poor that the law will be unfair to you, why not you respect yourself first?

[00:04:18]Why not? Like on social that we all need to, you know, we need to be be be very careful.

[00:04:31]Social Social media has made us lose our humanity. We go for anything. You will see some people Now, some days ago, somebody posted something about the chairman of UBA, Tony Elumelu. Somebody posted something about the child not being a virgin and the child being you know, HIV positive and that Tony Elumelu has divorced his wife or wants to divorce his wife. For me to even say it's even hard for me to say it because I can't imagine that. People will just come up and the sad part is that they come when they post these things, they make up a fake documentation to to to to give relevant or to to buttress their point.

[00:05:15]Now, Tony Elumelu decided to go to court with the matter. Three people were arrested. And then we all started screaming on social media, "Oh, oppression, oppression."

[00:05:26]If I tell you a lot of things that celebrities, media personalities, they overlook when some of these banga social media banga boys and girls, when they post some of these lies, they overlook because they don't want to be tagged as oppressing the poor.

[00:05:42]So, the poor they take advantage of this that oh, uh Tony Elumelu high up there will not come down and you know, start chasing me. Let me do this and then I get the views, I get the engagement. And you see people in the comment section saying that, oh, I hope say you like the beans where they for prison. I hope say you ready for court case.

[00:06:02]And you see these people constantly coming to say, oh, they are very sure. And some of them will post some things and tag reputable media houses as their source.

[00:06:13]And when these people they come for you, you say they are oppressing the poor.

[00:06:19]Meanwhile, the person who is who is posting these things on social media is living in one hot. Probably have not eaten. Probably just bought 100 naira data.

[00:06:31]And you will post some things not minding what it does to the family, not minding what it does to the reputation of the people you are posting these things about.

[00:06:40]And then when they come for you, we all start screaming oppression.

[00:06:44]Meanwhile, we constantly see these people post defamation, defamatory, you know, things about people.

[00:06:51]We don't call them out. We don't say anything. And when these people, these rich people or these celebrities say enough is enough and they decide to take it up, we all we say, oh, they are oppressing.

[00:07:03]And you see, I don't know why Yemi Alade [snorts] thinks that is things like this.

[00:07:07]He always wants to get himself involved in.

[00:07:12]You are saying, oh, that Adekunle Gold is trying to oppress this person.

[00:07:19]But you're forgetting that Adekunle Gold and Simi did not go for this guy because of what the guy had said about them. It was what the guy had said about their child.

[00:07:30]If we don't call out these people for these things that they do, because by the time they do it, they will have um what they call them, influencers who want to be helping them oppression.

[00:07:43]They will continue to do this. Now, look at what somebody posted about Davido's wife.

[00:07:48]If Davido decides to come for this person, we all will say oppression.

[00:07:54]Meanwhile, they constantly do these things and nobody call them to order.

[00:08:42]They'll be on their own. You will manufacture a story about their family, about their children.

[00:08:48]And then you bring out one fake documentation saying that oh, their child is HIV-positive. Oh, this one is the their child is late. Oh, this this this this. I mean, it's not fair.

[00:08:58]But the way you go about chasing money is very, very important.

[00:09:03]We will not come out here and be saying, "Oh, the rich are oppressing the poor."

[00:09:06]When the poor, first of all, you went to look for the rich's problem.

[00:09:10]You don't have money for court case. You don't have money to for police matter.

[00:09:13]You don't have You don't have any family who will even look for you if they throw you in jail.

[00:09:33]And for those who think there's an opportunity for you to be bringing out old tweets of um of um Adekunle Gold because I saw a lot of tweets about of of Adekunle Gold uh the things he tweeted against former President Goodluck Jonathan.

[00:09:51]They are also not right. We won't use the wrong to justify wrong. No.

[00:09:54]If Adekunle even if Adekunle posted those things 100 years ago is is it is wrong at that time and it's still wrong till now.

[00:10:02]If Jonathan President Goodluck Jonathan had decided to take him to court then or you know whatever is within Jonathan's right to do it.

[00:10:11]Yes. So you will not say oh because um Adekunle Gold is trying to take somebody to court now that he he has done it before. Even if he has done it before is still as bad as it is now.

[00:10:25]It's also it's still bad. There is nothing I mean we're not going to justify anything. And I saw some people saying oh Simi Tute has also tweeted some kind of things and some of them are some things against a minor. Now tweeting that does there is no evidence that she ever did anything.

[00:10:43]And in any case if you think that that is bad enough did anybody take Simi to court?

[00:10:48]And then the person didn't get justice.

[00:10:50]The court will not just come out and say oh because Simi posted um some things on social media years back we're going to take Simi to court. If you decide to take Simi to court yes you can take Simi to court for that. But if you didn't take Simi to court you cannot say oh the the the the the court did not charge Simi for what Simi posted or what Adekunle Gold posted years ago and why are they now um um charging this Banger Boy because Simi and Adekunle Gold took the boy to court.

[00:11:19]You think court works like that that they will just see something on social media and they will just start chasing the person. If nobody takes those people to court the court cannot do anything.

[00:11:30]But in any case we cannot be justifying what is wrong is wrong. If Simi did it 100 years ago, Adekunle Ego did it 200 years ago. It is wrong then, it is wrong now. If anybody had taken them to court at that time for bullying, the person is right.

[00:11:45]So, let us treat it case-by-case basis.

[00:11:54]And I hope that a lot of these celebrities will stop being nice.

[00:11:59]Anybody who comes for you or comes for your family, however you want to fight them, I I as long as it's within the law, fight them.

[00:12:09]Forget all those ones saying that you're going to press the po- the poor. You're because you are rich or press- oppressing the poor. No, fight them.

[00:12:15]Because we are all allowing nonsense to happen.

[00:12:19]You that is supporting that person that you say is the poor. I hope if the same thing is said or tweeted about your child, about your your your family, I hope you will say, "Oh, the boy is poor. Let them leave the boy." I hope we all will agree. I hope we all will say it's okay.

[00:12:36]But because it's been done to somebody maybe you don't like, it is okay. They're oppressing the poor.

[00:12:43]Like we already need to be careful on social media.

[00:12:46]We are all human beings. Yeah, some people might be, you know, above you social status and all of that, but we are all first human beings. We have feelings. We have emotions. We have our loved ones that we we we we we protect so much. That if you go for them, some people will use they will even if you're a poor person, they are ready to use millions to fight that case to the last.

[00:13:09]You think um Tony Elumelu would have been able to ignore that guy that he took to court for tweeting rubbish about his child?

[00:13:19]But you see, you have put out a story there that Tony Elumelu's child is this HIV, this, that, that, that. You've forgotten that that girl is a young girl that has life.

[00:13:32]That some people might take that story and just believe that that girl has all those things that a fake account posted.

[00:13:39]Those fake stories.

[00:13:42]And you guys think it's okay. Let us just ignore them because they are poor. When they decide to go for them, is oppression.

[00:13:55]You see, now anybody can tweet anything and it will go viral.

[00:14:00]Gone are the days when you think that oh, the person who tweeted it is not has only two followers, so let me ignore.

[00:14:13]So, if anybody posts anything that is against your character, your family, your personality, is damaging in any way, any shape, any form, go for that person.

[00:14:27]And you see a lot of them they go faceless. If they don't know that you if the somebody decides to look for them, they can they can, you know, hunt them down.

[00:14:36]Enough is enough. Rich people, celebrities, don't ignore again because a lot of people are taking advantage of that. Oh, Now see me, you no go answer me. Oh, now Tony Elumelu, you no go answer me. They are too big to come down to my level.

[00:14:48]And they constantly use you people for their engagement.

[00:14:53]And not that they are tweeting good things about you people, they are tweeting things against your family, against your your children.

[00:14:59]Don't let it slide.

[00:15:01]Don't keep quiet.

[00:15:03]Don't forget even if there are people like who will just come out from nowhere. And I know that if somebody like that is something like that is done to his own family, he will not take it.

[00:15:13]So, anyhow you want to protect your family, as long as they came for you first and you have evidence, go for them without a candle's worth.

[00:15:22]Go for them without a care. Go for them as long as you are within the law, go for them.

[00:15:28]But we all that apply on this social media, we really need to be careful. If by any way we goof by maybe saying things that are not, you know, true and they call you out, there is nothing wrong with apologizing.

[00:15:48]People are human beings. They have emotions. They have families. They have loved ones.

[00:15:53]You can't just assassinate their character because you can or because you have a social media platform that seem to have leveled everybody and then we think we can just talk about people like that. No. It's not okay.
