Indigenous Identity: Challenging Government Validation & Colonization Tactics #shortsAdded:
Unregistered as well. What does that mean?
>> The so-called government tries to validate you by being registered and who is more blood quantum of what's native and what's not, but I don't validate that personally.
>> What do they Because they separate us and make us fight among ourselves of who has more blood quantum to get more money from them or not, you know? I've caught some strays about that. So so [laughter] so it it it kind of goes into like a lot of elements of division and how they devalue you as an indigenous person. So if you don't have a registered card or a card or a row number, they automatically devalue you as an indigenous person that you don't claim to this land anymore. So then if you don't claim to this land, then they occupy the land and they colonize the land in a way that no one is has ties to.
