In the automotive retail industry, dealerships use discount stickers as a marketing tool to attract buyers, but the effectiveness of these discounts depends on market conditions, inventory levels, and brand demand. When dealerships have high inventory levels (such as hundreds of vehicles on the lot), they must offer more substantial discounts to move vehicles quickly, as each unsold vehicle accumulates floor plan financing costs. The video demonstrates that even with discount stickers, some vehicles may still be priced too high relative to market demand, particularly for brands with declining popularity. Effective dealership operations require balancing inventory turnover with profit margins, and discount strategies must be adjusted based on real-time market conditions and consumer demand.

GMC Buick Dealership Completely FullAdded:
We're at a Cadillac, Buick, GMC dealership. This one is in Missouri, Springfield, Missouri. And it looks like they have discount stickers on almost all their vehicles. The question is, are they enough? It looks like this one's discounted to a hundred grand, a hundred thousand dollars. What's the MSRP? Let's see. The MSRP is a hundred and four thousand dollars for this 2026 Yukon XL with the 6.2. That's kind of funny, four thousand dollar discount. Like, come on, that is nowhere near enough. You need to get ten plus thousand dollars off. Is that all they have on these vehicles?
Let me see. I know this one right here is discounted, too. Four, basically forty-five thousand. This one's discounted to ninety-six thousand, this Yukon Denali. Let's see here, and the original MSRP is a hundred grand. So, that's four thousand dollar discount.
That is not enough money off, man, for such an expensive vehicle. What are they doing on these trucks? But, man, this dealer, it's kind of funny. Hey, at least they're putting discount stickers.
I'll give them the credit there.
Fifty-four grand, 2024. Oh, this is a four-cylinder turbo full-size truck. I had a video the other day is, would you buy a four-cylinder full-size truck?
This one's discounted to forty-one five, forty-one five discount, if you call that much of a discount, man. That is a Yeah, I don't know. I mean, it's a start. But, the thing about I always say with these dealer discounts is, and it's not the end of your negotiation, it's just the beginning. This one's discounted to twenty-eight seven. And let's look over here. How much are they wanting? Original MSRP is thirty-two.
So, yeah, for this Buick. And Buick is a brand that, yes, it still exists, but they're definitely going downhill overall, compared to what they used to be. A brand that a lot of people don't want anymore. It's known for low quality, and they're trying to do all this stuff, but nobody wants a Buick in 2026.
Now, it looks like this is the electric section because this is a Cadillac and Buick GMC dealer all in one. So, these are the electric vehicles. They should have bigger discounts. This one's discounted to 70,000.
What's the MSRP on this one? And then they even have a Cadillac Escalade over there, which is going to be crazy.
Original MSRP 70,000. 70,000 discounted to Original MSRP is 76,000 discounted to 70 grand. So, they're a little bit of a discount, but it's nothing crazy. This is funny. The sale is at 150 grand.
That's the discounted price. Talking about a sale at 150,000 for these all-electric Escalade. Some people like them, but but it's an all-electric Escalade that's 150,000.
Would you spend that on an all-electric Escalade? This dealership is completely full of inventory right now in 2026. I mean, look at this. A line full of GMC Sierras. Hundreds of them sitting on this lot. And they're even giving discount stickers on every single vehicle. But for a lot of you guys, it's not enough. This one's 88,000.
Wow, 88 grand. And it has a 6.2, which is supposed to be a good thing. The problem is, yeah, it has complete engine failure. Discounted to 75,000.
So, hey, there we go. Now we're starting to move somewhere. It's still not enough, but hey, 10 to 15 grand off 88 to 75.
But that is a high trim level pickup truck. So, those high trim level pickup trucks have much bigger spread. They have much bigger profit margins for the dealership, for GMC, and everybody involved selling it. And now they even have Hummer EVs that are discounted.
These vehicles when they first were out, people were actually paying above MSRP.
Not anymore. But again, is it much of a discount? 99.6 is what they're asking with their big sale that's going on. But let's Let's what the real price is over here. 103. 103,000 dollars, man. They could have made this a cool vehicle. Imagine if it had a V8 supercharger or something like that, at least as an option. Sure, keep the electric one, but offer a cool version, especially for 103 grand. You would think you could get a supercharged V8 and all that stuff, but it is just inventory. I mean, this place is completely full of inventory, and this is not like a huge city in Missouri, either. They might have a couple hundred thousand people in this city total at most, but if you see this many cars, I mean, this is a line of trucks right here. 100 brand new pickup trucks sitting on the lot. Every single one of them you see costs the dealership serious money and floor plan. The longer it sits, the more it costs them. So, they need to sell it as quick as possible. But, when you have this many trucks sitting around, and it's serious floor plan, I mean, every single one, 100 bucks, 200, 300, 300, it really adds up with interest floor plans every single month, because they don't have enough capital, they don't have enough cash just to buy all of these vehicles and let them sit. One thing, it would be millions and millions of dollars, and a lot of times they have to take out floor plans, and it really does make sense normally with most dealers with how they operate, especially when vehicles sit this long, they're stuck holding the bag on a vehicles that just won't sell. It is a Cadillac and Buick GMC dealer, but these are like the only Cadillacs that I'm seeing that are on the lot. So, they don't have much here. And these do look new as well. I just I don't know what's going on with the wheels. Maybe it's just the travel wheels. Yeah, these do have the window stickers, so they are new. But, yeah, definitely a different look right there if you want the all red, but I think it's just a travel wheel situation. But, let me see what these are going for, because you got to give them credit on still building sedans. Let's see, 74 grand 2026 CT5 V-Series.
Cadillac 100% for General Motors to still build sedans in 2026. They don't build that many of them. They don't want to build that many, but there's a few at least that they still build. So, it's a Cadillac dealership that doesn't have much Cadillac inventory actually in stock on the lot. Most of what they have is Buick GMC inventory, but the big thing is discounts, discounts, discounts. At least they are discounting up front, if you want to call this a discount, I guess. You know, they got this one for sale for 150k.
150k, and that's on sale. You know, the Thompson sale, $150,000 sitting on the lot, all electric Escalade. Would you want to actually buy one? And do you think any of these prices are actually where they need to be? I mean, this one's 57 grand.
Original MSRP is $59,000.
So, I mean, the discounts are not that much. It's almost laughable that they're putting, you know, $4,000 discounts on a lot of these vehicles, when they really need 10 plus grand off in today's market that we're in. I mean, this one right here is 30,000, original MSRP 32,000.
You know, that's kind of a joke. You know, two grand off, like, what? And today, in today's market with this much inventory, they have no other option.
They don't want to put those stickers on the window. They would rather just not put nothing. Just like during '21, '22, when the lots were empty, and they did not have to. But now, it's a complete opposite story. They don't have a choice. They have to discount this stuff in order to even think about selling it.
But yeah, Buick and Cadillac dealer all in one, I just wouldn't call this much of a Cadillac dealership. They literally have three or four vehicles up front. They have a couple over there, and that's all I'm seeing. And then, they might have a couple inside as well. A brand new Cadillac. So, almost everything they sell is going to be Buick GMCs. Just insane pricing at General Motors. I don't know what they're thinking. Let me know what you think. Have a great day, and stay blessed.
