The video provides a sobering critique of how relying on corporate altruism masks systemic failures in local governance. It correctly identifies that sustainable community welfare requires genuine political accountability rather than just symbolic gestures.

Walgreens Closure Exposes the Problem Nobody Wants to Talk AboutAdded:
Walgreens should be charged with firstdegree corporate abandonment.
>> It should be a crime the way they're treating our elders.
>> It should be a crime the way they're treating our families.
>> A Walgreens spokesperson responding with the statement in part, quote, "Despite a range of efforts, including previous operating adjustments, these ongoing safety challenges made it increasingly difficult to maintain a secure environment for our team members and customers." Hey everyone, Jasmine Miner here from ABC7 and I'm on the corner of 86th and Cottage at the Walgreens that is expected to close one month from now on June 4th. We heard from several residents who live here in Chadam and alderman who are extremely upset with this decision from the company um calling it corporate abandonment. Now, if you kind of know the history closure comes just over a year since Walgreens closed five locations in Bronzeville, Little Village, Southshore, and South Chicago neighborhoods. There's another specialty pharmacy closing on 71st Street in just a couple of weeks. And so when this Walgreens closes here on 86th and Cottage from this location, there will be no Walgreens pharmacy within a mile. So you think about all the families uh that do not have access to transportation, how much is going to affect them. Now, when we heard from residents, several of them uh brought bags of prescription bottles. This is a visual representation of how many people this is going to impact. that forward safely that um they rely on this pharmacy on an almost daily basis. Now, we did hear from Alderman Will Hall uh who is very upset with this decision kind of leading this movement. He says this is a chance for Walgreens to redesign the space and he's responding to the their direct complaint that the reason their effect theft in is fact they gave us this statement saying despite a range of efforts including previous operating adjustments these ongoing safety challenges have made it increasingly difficult to maintain a secure environment for our team members and customers. Alderman Hall said that's no excuse that they should redesign the space and create a safer space. And if they can't do that that to invest more money to beauty as a >> in Chadam just closed. People have questions as to what damage will be done to that community now that those elderly people are without a local pharmacy to fulfill their medication requests and things of that nature. What we see right now is that the local leadership are calling out or demanding that the corporate retailer hold themselves more accountable for staying open. But I want to provide a little bit more context to what has actually happened in this community and how we may be looking at the wrong people uh to lay that blame at the feet of. The first person I want to address is the alderman for this area.
His name is actually William Hall. So William Hall is an individual who would have been the most closely uh related to those elderly individuals who need to be needed to be advocated for in the Chattam community.
>> Green should be charged with firstderee corporate abandonment. Right.
>> It should be a crime the way they're treating our elders.
>> It should be a crime the way they're treating our families.
>> I would like to also add that William Hall only attends about 81% it looks like of the votes that he's supposed to be present for and also receives donations from the Chicago Teachers Union quite often. Um and a great deal of uh gas stations are like his main donors. Gas stations and the Chicago Teachers Union. He actually receives donations from an alarming amount of gas stations. Like it's kind of odd.
>> Out of the last 110 meetings, uh, William Hall was absent from 26 meetings in the current legislative session. The meeting that he seems to miss most often is the Committee on Economic, Capital, and Technology Development. I'm not sure if he doesn't if he's not required to be there for that, but for some reason, well, I would have to say he is because they mark him absent. He's marked absent from this and he has missed the last one, two, three, four. Actually, he misses this meeting pretty much every time it happens.
>> The gaslighting is unreal with these people.
>> Unbelievable.
>> They unbelievable >> that Walmart should stay >> and allow themselves to be robbed.
>> Yes.
>> The employees to be harmed.
>> I mean, it's it's this is crazy.
>> Of course it is. But but the thing of it is when people are become dependent and Democrats want people to be dependent because if you're dependent then you're going to vote for them to save you and they're never going to save you because they can't even show up for the votes but they can show up for a microphone in the camera. It makes them give the illusion of doing something. That's right.
>> You know, it's kind of like when I go to Planet Fitness and I lay on the u massage table and eat the Tootsie Rolls.
Um I have the illusion of going to the gym, but I ain't working out. That's why I don't go to Planet Fitness no more.
Otherwise, I'd still be a big bag. See, that's how that works. As long as it looks like I'm doing something, as long as I have a membership to the gym, then I'm I'm being functional and no one's going to question it because we have been conditioned as black people specifically and lowincome people, regardless of race, to let the Democrats do what they do BECAUSE THEY'RE FIGHTING FOR US AND ALL OF THEM FIGHTING Donald Trump and Donald Trump don't know 99% of them. That's all I got to say. I'm pissed off. Well, I feel like this can only happen um when two things are uh available in the environment. And the first thing you need is you need uh to get rid of the dangerousness of liberalism because what liberalism does is it codifies and it normalizes the worst impulses in people. People have a nature. Okay? And the job of a civilized society is to try and create a condition trying to create the conditions that promote the highest values of human nature and suppresses the low values of our nature because we know that that's who we are. So we try to put ourselves in situations where we'll be most likely to do to do good. So when you've got this uh liberalism which says no, we're going to codify the right and normalize the behavior that propels people to act on their worst impulses. And then so that's the environment. Then you get a group of fatherless children dismantled families. This is not race uh specific.
This is through divorce. This is through what uh parental alienation. This is through single motherhood. We have too many children that growing up without structure because of the fatherlessness.
So you have a bunch of unstructured children sent out who who become adults sent out into a society that says, "Hey, act on your worst impulses and it'll be okay because we love you and we want to take care of you and we think you're so valuable. It doesn't matter what you do." You put those two things together, there is no description of the amount of mayhem that can come when you have that situation together. The combination of of these liberals and the laws that they put in place with the the structuralistness that come from families that don't have good fathers to provide children with structure.
Anything can jump off when you have those two things present.
>> Galatians chapter 6 verse 7.
>> God will not be mocked. You will reap what you sow. And woe to and let's go to Isaiah 5:20. Woe to those who call good evil and evil good because the lack of accountability. He wants to blame the corporation for saying, "Please, I'm not staying here for y'all to keep robbing me. I am losing. Y'all ain't arresting nobody. y'all ain't holding nobody accountable. You have Brandon Johnson up there that allows these people to do whatever they want. There's no kind of repercussions, no consequences. And as Celeste says that they're that the children are are able to go out there and wreak havoc. So you're you're teaching young people not to be accountable. You're not holding the older people accountable, but you want to turn around and say it's Walgreens for fault. No, you reap what you sow. So this is a this is what y'all voted for.
Y'all voted for that alderman. Y'all voted for that mayor who decides that they're not going to hold anybody accountable. You can just run them up.
What did Brandon Johnson say the teen take over was don't call don't don't call them thugs. Don't call them this.
They're just just getting together.
They're wreaking havoc, destroying property, doing but no, we're not going to make them look bad. Y'all are just trying to make black kids look bad.
>> What?
>> So you're not going to hold these people accountable. So this now and then you want to go ahead and gas at every say well the elderly will be without medications because they're the ah sir it's your fault all of y'all fault who refuse to hold any of these children these people that are robbing these stores accountable. Don't say restructure the store and fix the store.
How about y'all fix these children. Fix these criminals. Lock them up and stop sitting down and playing with them. I don't want to hear you whine. So at the end of the day remember Galatians 6:7 and Isaiah 5:20. But Crystal, no, no, no. But Crystal, here's the thing.
You're You see, this is why I don't like you people. Because you're too nice to say the things that I have to come in here and say, and then y'all say I'm too much. These aldermans have budgets, and those budgets could easily cover the premiums of the insurance losses that these stores have from these badass pooky and ray rays that they need for their instant slave quotas. So if he wanted to do something to keep Walgreens here, instead of standing there giving sound bites and acting like he's standing with the people and protesting, he could take some of his overinflated budget.
>> There you go.
>> And cover the losses based on the insurance premiums to make sure the insurance premiums didn't go up. But he won't do that. If he actually cared about old people who do not have transportation, he would take some of that budget and make sure that they had a way to go back and forth and have a shuttle. If he cared about the society and the neighborhoods, he would give these kids something to do that would align with their interest because idle hands are the devil's workshop.
>> That would mess with his lifestyle budget. You You're starting to mess with his >> OH, I'M SORRY. SASSY PANTS can't get another Manny Petty set.
>> There you go. There you go.
>> Pointy head Brandon Johnson CAN'T GET THAT STUPID LITTLE HAIRCUT.
>> There you go. You messing with the lifestyle budget. You know, >> that's my problem. I bring too much logic and accountability and that's why I can never be a liberal again.
>> But but this is it. It can't just be an accident. This same thing happened four years ago with Walgreens in San Francisco.
17 Walgreens and San Francisco and all the liberal world said, "Well, where the grandmas going to get their prescriptions?" Yet none of them went and reversed their policy.
>> Not a one.
>> I can tell you Walgreens still exists in Florida. I know Walgreens still exists around here. We still got >> in Florida. I took MY WIFE TO CLUB, MAN.
>> During the pandemic, we had a time. The streets were clean. The air was clean.
Everybody was chilling. The omelet guy was on point. Florida is an oasis. Y'all can say whatever you want. You ain't got to like the Santis. You ain't got to like all these people you say are so bad. But guess what? I'm about quality.
I don't give a god fart. Florida's wonderful. Y'all listen. If the rest of the country was like Florida, never mind. Go ahead.
>> Hey, listen. Listen. This worst it's worse than a case of closing the barn door after the horse is gone. These dudes are these dudes are blaming the horse for leaving.
Listen, think about this. There was not a word said about the sick conduct of their black community. Now, you had a rally, but what where was the rally of stop the stealing rally?
>> Where was that stop the stealing rally before the law? Where where where was the stop the sick behavior, stop the ghetto behavior rally?
>> Huh?
>> Where where was the do you want them to leave rally?
>> Where were those rallies before they stores left? You see what I'm saying?
>> And this is what they need to put in these people face whenever they get out there and try to grandstand before the microphone. Like they really trying to do something for the community talking about the poor old old people that can't get their subscription. Where were you?
What were you doing that prevented this from happening?
>> I told you Manny Petty sets.
>> There you go. All right. So, we gotta nail these people.
>> You're absolutely right, Minister Danel.
It's called a ratchet tax.
>> There you go.
>> Uh where everywhere the Democrats are, taxes increase, but the crime actually uh uh costriminal to pay more. Mhm.
>> These businesses, they're either uninsurable or or the insurance is so dagone high that it doesn't make sense fiscally to continue to operate in these communities, which forces the people that live in these communities to pay the ratchet tax. Meaning they're going to have to pay for Ubers and extra taxi cab rides to go across town to go and get their prescription.
Now, I mean, I I will say this.
>> It does open up an opportunity for some other people out there to say, you know what, we'll start our own pharmacy. Or maybe it opens up an opportunity for you to um, you know, do a delivery service, you know, a prescriptions and things of that nature. It's opening up some opportunities.
>> You see solutions. They see I have to spend my money instead of spending Rey's money. That's what they see, right? And so and and they also see it as if somebody is supposed to be taking care of them. This is the reason why I said something earlier about liberal uh baby boomers and liberal gen X because that gentleman should be up there, the Odman should be up there telling the community.
There was a there was a lady that spoke after him and she said, "My aunt can't come down here now. she has to go uh three miles to some other store, right?
But in every other community, they take care of their elderly. Why aren't you taking care of your elderly? Yeah, you might have to go take your aunt to whatever, whatever. Maybe your aunt should be living with you because obviously she can't do it by herself.
Like, there has to be some accountability where the family is taking care of its elderly. the family make sure that people that are in their communities have what they need. And that is what community is. It's not it's not Walgreens to make sure that the elderly get what they need. It's Walgreens job to do exactly what it's doing, make money.
It's capitalism. I know, right? And then what happened to what happened to their famous brother's line? Mhm.
>> Corporations are people, too. Well, these people that Barack Obama said we're were people, these people are losing out on money.
>> The these people are being robbed daily.
>> So, why would these people stick around?
Anybody that does that is just insane.
>> And then you got to think about uh who he's getting funded by, right? Or who he's getting the donations by. Well, a lot of these gas stations are trying to be your convenience stores.
>> Okay. They're becoming these these mega stores. Yeah. They're becoming these mega stores. Like you can actually go into some of these uh gas stations, you know, like your Royal Farms, Dash in, you can almost grocery shop.
>> Yeah.
>> And a lot of them, you know, you can use them EBT cards and say right there. So, I mean, it's it's a reason why they are donating. Yes. It's a reason why. And the people that own these places usually don't live in your community either. So, there's that. And then last but not least, they don't The Democrats, if you ever look at their voting record, I don't care if it's state side, local, I don't care if it's federal, they never vote.
>> A lot of people argue me down about Ratchet Crockett and I say, "What is she doing?" They're like, "Oh, she's fighting." I'm like, "How? She hasn't she doesn't have one bill. She doesn't vote. Barack Obama for most of his one term vote. He votes present.
>> She builds it up.
>> She builds up.
>> Yeah. So, at the end of the day, again, as I always say on here, it's the people. The people. The people. The people. That's it.
>> It's their fault.
>> Yep.
>> Yeah, it is. Oh, pain in my shirt. Oh, so bruised in the Lord hit my chest. Kick death from my breath. Put power in my step.
