In surgical practice, the most effective approach is identifying and addressing the root cause of a patient's condition rather than merely treating symptoms; for example, when a patient presents with mild ptosis but significant brow asymmetry, correcting the brow position through an endoscopic brow lift can achieve better aesthetic results than attempting to correct the mild ptosis, which risks overcorrection.

the best surgical approach is identifying the root cause rather than just treating a symptom.Added:
One of my patients has some significant asymmetry in her eyelids and brows. She initially came to see me because she wanted a tossis repair. She has a very very mild left upper litosis. We're talking about.5 mm. It is way too mild for me to be doing a microtosis repair on her because invariably she will become overcorrected. What her other main issue is the brow asymmetry. She has significant asymmetry such as her right brow as you'll see is much lower than her left. And by elevating the brows, making them more symmetric, improving the brow shape and position will actually allow for her to look more balanced, more refreshed. Although not perfect because of that very mild, very mildtosis. She's she has that left eyelid, she's still going to benefit.
And so we proceeded with the endoscopic brow lift only on her. And you'll see her before photos, and I can't wait to show you how she looks after. We just finished the case. She already looks amazing. She's awake, feeling great already, which is phenomenal. And I'll keep you posted next week as how she feels or how she heals.
