Strategic brand partnerships and market expansion are critical strategies in the sneaker industry, as demonstrated by Steph Curry's 10-year deal with Lee Ning to tap into the enormous Chinese basketball market of 300 million active players, and Jordan Brand's decision to reduce Air Jordan 1 High releases in 2027 to manage consumer demand and maintain brand value through scarcity.

The nike flyknit era is coming back with new tech! AF1 mids about to get pushed plus less J1'S!Añadido:
Hello everybody. Welcome back to the channel. It's me, Jordan Young. This is our weekly sneaker news recap video.
Let's start things off by combing through some of this week's biggest releases. Starting off with the Adidas and CocaCola collaboration collection thing. Whole bunch of shoes released between these two entities. Uh all of which I passed on. How about you guys?
You also had this past week the Amomanier Nike Pegasus Premium. There were two different colorways that dropped. Both nice colorways to be fair.
Also had the Adidas and uh Lionel Messi team up on the House of Tedor collection. Whole bunch of shoes dropped. Had the New Balance and Stone Island collaboration on the Absorb 1890.
You had a deep green and then a khaki colorway. And then there was also a couple of football boots that dropped as well. I also had a whole bunch of Nike dry fit team kits inspired tracksuit stuff that dropped obviously gearing up for the World Cup which isn't far away.
Also had the Supreme and Jordan brand collection that went down. There were no shoes which was a little bit disappointing for some people out there but there were some really nice pieces in that collection. Very popular. That stuff uh sold out as you would expect.
Also for you guys over there in the US, you had the Nike Air Foam Posit One Tanzhin 2.0. That was a release that was initially speculated to be limited only to Asia, but you guys in the US locked out. I know a lot of people were checking for those, so that's pretty cool. Uh resale prices don't seem to be too scandalous on those if anyone did want to come up. And Kith and Nike teamed up for a pre-order on the Air Max 95 Nyx colorway. This was previously a kids only colorway, but they were made available via Kith US. Again, US getting all of the cool stuff. Uh they were available for pre-order on the Kith US website. 6 months is going to be the wait for these. Uh so if you're watching the NBA Finals right now and you're watching the Knicks who have a 200 series lead against San Antonio, these are definitely not going to arrive in time for the parade if it ends up going your guys way. also had the release of the Nike Mind shoes. This was a release that went down on the Nike sneakers app.
There were two colorways. There was a Hyper Royal colorway and there was also a red colorway as well, which sold out instantaneously. This continues to be like the hottest selling product for Nike at the moment. And today we had the release of the Jordan 23. These did not drop in the UK from what I've been able to see. Uh but those things are also out there today for you guys over there in the US. And there's also a pretty cool pair of Jordan 1 lows in the phantom and pine green colorway. I feel like this is a really nice colorway, man. Got little mini swish on the front, the oversized swish on the side. It's a really nice colorway. Bit of a sleeper model, but one of those models that I feel like you could probably wait to cop in the outlets a little bit further on down the line. So, a couple of cool releases. We also have a huge amount of sneaker releases to preview at the end of the episode, so make sure you guys stick around for that. Did you guys pick anything up this week? feel free to let me know down below. All right, let's get into a little bit of news and let's start off with this story here. I'd be interested in hearing from some of you Air Force One heads out there or some of you guys that have been tapped into the game now for some time as to whether or not you feel like this is something that could pop off. Is Little Yachty about to make the Air Force One Mid pop again?
Some of you guys out there might be thinking, "Hang on, when did it ever pop off?" The Air Force One mids have had some moments. The highs have had some moments. The lows have obviously always been a staple. But the mids, could they be getting a little bit of revivification thanks to the team up from Little Yachty? We've got a couple of shoes to talk about. First and foremost, this Concrete Boys collaboration that features an all orange on the upper way with the Concrete Boys logo on the back that you can see here. Some stars. It seems to have a patent leather type of vibe to it. Um, yeah, very striking colorway, very bright, very loud, very out there.
There is also this pair here, which features the shoe, uh, dressed in what looks to be some insulation material, the type of stuff you might find inside your walls or up in your attic. Some people have been calling these the asbestos force one mids. And I guess the question is, what do you guys think, man? There's obviously an agenda here with Little Yachty to try to take the Air Force One Mids and do his thing on it. Are we about to see a moment where this model starts to trend? Where we start to see a lot of people in the streets picking up Air Force One Mids or do you think this is absolute rubbish?
Personally, between the two shoes, I'm not mad at either colorway. I feel like Little Yachti is doing his thing with these. The asbestos uppers do make for a pretty interesting aesthetic. I'm not going to lie. But what do you guys think? I'd be interested in hearing your take. Do you think the Air Force One Mid is about to have a moment? So, we have some news regarding Steph Curry, the chef. He has put pen to paper and he has signed a 10-year deal with a sneaker brand. And some of you guys out there may have called it. I know the speculation has been all over the place, but I know a lot of people were calling Lee Ning or maybe Ant, one of the big Chinese brands, as a likely destination for Curry. And here it is. He's signed with Lee Ning. Obviously, 25 26 season, he's enjoyed his sneaker free agency, which has been really cool to see. He's been balling out in all kinds of different sneakers, making the absolute most of it, and now he has signed with Lee Ning. Now, some people have been questioning the decision because people weren't really buying his shoes at Under Armour and now people aren't necessarily going to be buying his shoes at Lee Ning. I think people are missing the fact that the Chinese basketball market is enormous. There's something like 300 million active hoopers in China alone.
Like the population of America are playing hoops in China. And so it makes sense to have arguably the greatest point guard of all time. I'm not sure anyone's going to disagree with the fact that he is the best shooter of all time lacing up leanings. Uh it's obviously a huge opportunity to really encroach into that Chinese market and there are more players playing in leanings these days in the NBA. So, personally, I feel like it's a good strategic move for Curry to potentially carve out a great legacy with the brands. He's still got some time on the clock. Leaning makes some pretty cool looking uh sneakers on court. They're very popular. The performance is great. Huge market there.
So, personally, I feel like this is a great move for Curry. What do you guys think? All right, let's talk about this story here. If you guys want to see a little bit more of a deep dive into the end of Trophy Room as we know it, go ahead and check out the video that I made earlier on in the week where I go into some detail talking about the debacle that was the Trophy Room Enterprise, particularly focusing on that 2021 fiasco involving the backdooring of the Trophy Room one highs. Marcus Jordan has tenured has put in his uh resignation letter in effect. He's saying that the Trophy Room stores are closing. They're going to be switching up to an online e-commerce platform only. He's going to go away and do his own thing. He retains ownership rights over the intellectual property. Still going to have some back door, I mean backroom influence, I'm sure. But in the wake of that announcement, we saw a shoe that never was. That could have been that would have been cool to see. It has to be said. These are a pair of Air Jordan 6 Trophy Rooms that are inspired by the um Chicago Bulls Triumphs over the Pistons and the Lakers in 1991. You can see one of the shoes here in the Detroit Pistons colorway and another pair in the Lakers colorway. Now, the cool thing about these shoes, which I like, you know, I can't lie, is is that when they aren't uh illuminated or when they aren't hit with the sunlight, they just look like a pair of white infrared OGs. And then when you take them out into the sunshine, they color change and they also show up some interesting signatures that come from an old game used pair back in the day. So, really cool packaging. Again, really cool storytelling. Look, the thing about Trophy Room is that they did some really cool collabs, in my opinion, over the years. Their shoes that they did were great. It's just a shame that more people couldn't get their hands on them.
Marcus Jordan's legacy, unfortunately, is going to be one of corruption, backdooring, and nepotism, and unfortunately partaking in some of the more uh nefarious, should we say, or dodgy extracurriculars off to the side.
So, personally, I feel like it's a real missed opportunity for Marcus Jordan. He could have made such a great impact on the sneaker community. Unfortunately, he's going to be remembered more for the back door than anything else. The Whitaker Group, as we know, are on a crazy run for 2026. We thought maybe they might start to slow down and maybe strip back the amount of collabs and models that we're seeing, but far from doing that, they are increasing. We've seen all the V5Runner mock-ups. We've seen the Air Force One lows, the Jordan 11 lows. This past week, we've seen APB store unveil a series of collabs that are supposed to be coming out during the fall and winter of this year, including two Jordan 11 lows as well as the Nike V5 runners and two Dunk Lows and the React X Rejuvenate foam shoes. So, let's start off by talking about these Jordan 11 lows cuz these things these are looking nice, man. I'm seeing a lot of people out there react in a very positive way to these things here. They feature in what looked to be like a deep royal navy offset with some salmon or pink type piping a little bit like we've seen with the likes of Undefeated in the past. We've also got a white pair or a lighter pair that has a gray liner. Also has a little bit of contrast piping around that join between the patent and the upper. And then here you can also see the ReactX Rejuvenate foam shoe. And then in the background, a sneaky look at these dunks. Um, here's a good close-up on the 11 lows. These look nice. These look fire. I'm I'm digging these for sure. These dunks, I think, were friends and family and were available via APB stores uh Instagram to go into the draw for uh via like a raffle or a comments type situation. So, I'm not sure if the dunks are going to be releasing, but the dunks are fire. Uh, I've got to say the V5 runners are also really nice as well.
So yeah, all of these shoes I've got to say, despite asking for Amamir to give us less, they are nice, man. I've got to admit. What do you guys think? Speaking of giving us less, we've had a pretty big announcement from Nike and Jordan brand this past week that they are set to significantly reduce the amount of Air Jordan 1 High releases in 2027.
And I think for a lot of people, this is good news to be fair. Let's be honest.
Um, the brand has already tried to reignite demand last year with the massive band campaign over the uh 85s, but attention didn't really translate into sustained engagement as per this post. Guys, remember last year famously shoes like the shattered backboards didn't really get hoovered up. Neither did the UNCC's. You know, we're talking shoes that were reselling for crazy money in the pandemic era, sitting and going on sale again. And listen, I personally feel like Jordan Brand could do a lot more to extend this reduction to other models. cuz I know a lot of people out there probably don't want to agree with this or don't want to hear this, but I personally feel like Jordan Brand specifically need to just rein in the amount of retros that they're pulling out on all of the most significant models like the one, the three, the four, uh the 11 fives, you know, give us more of the stuff that twos. I mean, they went hard on the twos a few years ago, but just basically all of the retros they have been banging us over the head with over the past five or six years. They should just significantly reduce. You guys remember back in 2014, they just halted the production on the Air Jordan 3 so that they could spend some time getting the remastered stuff together. And that period where we didn't have any threes allowed for the appetite to build again, allowed for the models that were already out there to breathe. And by the time they did come back, there was some genuine interest in those models again.
It just feels like every week we're getting another set of ones, threes, fours, 11s, whatever. and they could do a lot more to just strip them back, man.
So, I personally feel like this is a good move. I feel like it's a long time coming. What do you guys think? Do you guys want to see less? Let me know. The muification isn't slowing down. It's only speeding up and you're only going to see more of it. We have seen a potential teaser via Moa Lola this past week at a Jordan 14 mule, although, you know, there's not really much to give it away. You kind of just have to use your imagination. Um, there are supposed to be a Jordan 14 mule and then a Jordan 14. So, this may or may not be the mule, but we are hearing there's going to be both um Via Moa Lola as well as um a whole collection capsule thing. Um, so yeah, what do you guys think? The color way on this particular pair looks really nice. The apparel collection looks a little bit more on that fashion type tip. You know, the fashion MF crossover.
If you want to make anything a little bit fashionable these days, just take a picture with someone having a cigarette that pretty much dials into the fashion chic aesthetic.
Not really my thing, but I can understand how some fashion MFS would be down with this cuz it kind of looks a little bit like a Prada or a little bit like a designer getup. And obviously the um model here is incredibly skinny. So yeah, fits that aesthetic nicely. But yeah, what do you guys think? Up close and personal with all seven Nike Cryoshot collaborations. So, let's talk about these. There's seven partners, the seven cryoshots. They're dropping this week on June the 11th. Let's go through them. Let's start off with arguably the most hyped up pair out of all of them because it's the Virgil Lablau Archives crossover. Um, these things are nice.
We've been talking a little bit about these in recent times. It makes sense for this collaboration. Makes sense for these to be part of this collection. And these are arguably, you know, the cleanest pair out of all of these. I think this is the French pair right here. Nice pair to team up with uh Yakmoose. Kind of similar to the USA pair, the VAAA pair, but still very clean nonetheless. Got the yellow pair here, the Nocta teamup all in yellow.
These things look pretty nice. They've got that whole Bruce Lee or the Kill Bill type of vibe about them. This is the Palace collaboration. Uh this is the England pair I think or teaming up for the England look. Definitely like this pair as well. This is the PA collaboration for the Netherlands for the Dutch. Again, look, to be fair, I like all of these, man. I think all of these colorways are cool. I think all of these are going to be really interesting. I think this one here is the Nigerian one. This is the team up with Slawn. Uh which is really cool. I mean, bro, another banger right there.
Is this the piece minus one collaboration crossover as well? Look, I mean, I don't know about you guys, but I feel like this is a really well executed collection. You've got a series of collaborations. All of the models look cool. All of the models feature some really cool uh colorways, all very wearable, all very on point for the upcoming World Cup. So, yeah. I mean, I might try to get my hands on one or two pairs of these to join in on the hype and the festivities for the World Cup. I think my favorite pair is probably I mean what if I had I like the slawn pair to be fair. I do like it. It's sort of funky. Um I like the PA pair as well with the orange. The palace pair not so much. The Nocta n I would say probably the slawn pair and the VAAA pair probably be my favorites. And I'm only saying the VA pair just cuz of the Virgil. So yeah. What do you guys think?
So, this past week, AS6 brought back the Gel Light 3 in remastered form, which is really cool to see. Um, so the new remastered edition marks the retirement of um, Shigayyuki Mitsui, who is the visionary designer who created the iconic Gel Light 35 years ago now. So, these things are out there and available if you wanted to come up. And look, if you guys don't know about the Geolite 3, I mean, you guys have been seeing the Geolite 3's in the background here uh pretty much every video. The Geolite 3 is an absolutely iconic sneaker. Any sneaker heads will tell you that this is one of the most iconic A6 models of all time. If you guys remember back in like 2012, 2013, the model was having an absolute moment. And I the real ones out there know pairs like these. the Ronnies. One of Ronny's best shoes ever in my opinion. Like the Golite 3 is like a banger. These are out there and available right now if you guys wanted to come up. And this colorway is dope.
We've had a first look at the Nike Flyet Runner. That's right, you heard that correctly. That is set to come out next year in the spring and it's featuring the Luna lawn soul. Uh what do you guys think about this, man? Do you guys think that the Nike Flyet era could make a little bit of a comeback? A little bit like the A6 Gelite 3es we were talking about, the Fly Net era was goated right around that 2012, you know, 2013 era back in the day when, you know, people like Kanye were wearing them right before he switched sides, the mids, you know, the Chuckers, the Fly Knit basketball shoes, you know, that whole era was very memorable. Um, the aesthetic really nice, quite minimal. I could see people getting into these again personally. Would they have the same type of impact as they did back then? I don't think so. But I feel like some people would be a little bit nostalgic over them and would probably want a copper pair. They're very light, very breathable, really good summertime shoe. Really nice casual shoe. Uh, nice holiday shoe if you know what I'm talking about. Um, personally, I feel like these would be pretty wellreceived.
Some updates on the sole would be good.
You know, to see them come out with some like React X foam or something to make them even more comfortable would make sense. But uh yeah, expect the Flyet Racer to come back next year. The Air Bacon is back. Here's a first look at the pair coming back in 2026.
A lot of you guys out there might remember the Air Bacons. Massive in the mid to late 90s. People like Tim Hardaway, people like Mitch Richmond's having these things on feet made them hearts, made them heat. And for a lot of people, man, the nostalgia runs deep with these. Some people out there aren't going to be too fussed or phased about these, but for a lot of people, they're going to really enjoy seeing these come back. So, yeah, dropping pretty soon, I think. And here's a really good in-hand look at the Jordan 6 Awake New York in the Midnight Navy. So, we've got, you know, arguably the best looks yet, just in terms of the quality of the images.
And the front of the shoe looks to be completely different materially. You've got the traditional Newuk suede upper with a contrast blue uh on blue type look with the contrast red stitching.
The back uh portion of the shoe looks to feature in I don't even know what that uh material is, whether it's like a like rubberized or a TPU type material. It looks a little bit more hardy, a little bit more durable, a little bit more like fiberglass.
Honestly, I I feel like these these are nice. Like, according to these images, I'm liking these, man. These Awake New Yorks are fire. These and the pinks, I'm going to call it now. These are like one of the coolest shoes I think we've seen this entire year. These are are going to be a bit of a mustop, I think. Okay, to finish off this week, let's talk about some of the biggest sneaker releases upcoming this week. There will be some discrepancy between the US, the UK, the EU, as well as the rest of the team tapping in from all across the globe.
Shout out to all of you guys wherever you happen to be in the world. This is going to be a bit of a US uh centric type list. So, just check your local retailers for any updates if there are any models here that you are interested in. June the 9th, the SB Air Force One low in the flax colorway. June the 9th, you've got the BIN 23 release. uh the Jordan 3es. Beautiful shoe. I think they'll probably be coming out later on in the month here in the UK with the, you know, like remnants of the stock.
Remember, there's only like 2,300 pairs of those. Really nice shoe. Would love to have a chance to cop those. $355 though is a pretty steep price to pay.
Uh some nice Adidas coming out this week as well. The Willie Shavaria Mega Rides are dropping. Uh the Copper Mundial.
There's also a Mega Low Bones colorway as well. on June the 12th. It's showing here that the Palace and Nike collaboration, I think it's connected to the Cryoshot stuff, is dropping on June the 12th, but I'm not sure like how accurate that is because pretty much all of the World Cup cryoshot stuff is coming out the following week on June the 16th, the Tuesday. So, I'm not sure to what extent that's accurate. check your guys Nike sneakers app. But I think for most people, the release of the week is going to be the release that you can't get your hands on, which is the Bin 23s. But I think if you want to save your money this week in favor of trying to cop one of the cryos shots the following week, that's probably not a bad move. And that's going to do it for today, guys. Thank you so much for messing with the channel. Your support means a lot. Don't forget to like the video before you take off and go ahead and drop me a follow over on my IG and my Tik Tok. and I will see you guys very soon for a very exciting video that I have coming out that which I think you guys will enjoy a lot. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take care for now and peace.
