In tropical regions with high humidity, electrical equipment with moving parts fails faster due to moisture condensation; effective protection requires automated ventilation systems that activate at 89% relative humidity to remove indoor moisture, rather than simply exchanging air with the already-humid outdoor environment.

Electronics dying too fast? Let's stop it.Añadido:
There's a noticeable pattern in tropical regions. All electrical equipment with moving parts tends to fail much faster than in other regions. [music] That's mainly due to the constantly high humidity both indoors and outdoors.
That's why we always install a ventilation fan together with a humidity sensor. The system turns on at around 89% [music] humidity and ventilates the space to remove excess moisture. There's no point setting the threshold lower because outdoor humidity is often already 70 to [music] 90%. So constantly replacing the air doesn't really help. The goal is simply to reduce the moisture that condenses inside the room itself.
