[00:09:38]And by 1930, he admitted it was a test.

[00:09:41]And even now, the SAT and the Act are biased against socioeconomic status, race and ethnicity.

[00:09:48]In his 1923 book A Study of American Intelligence, eugenicist Carl Brigham wrote, The African Americans warned the low end of the racial, ethnic, and cultural spectrum testing he believed, showed the superiority of the Nordic race group.

[00:10:02]Furthermore, the education system, he argued, was in decline.

[00:10:05]It will proceed with an accelerating rate as the racial mixture becomes more and more extensive.

[00:10:11]The basis for all modern standardized testing in the United States arrives from this guy, Carl Campbell Brigham, who was a proud published eugenicist who created the SAT, same S.A.T.
