Amazon FBA is not a passive business requiring active work in sourcing, analyzing, and shipping; beginners can start with as little as $100-$500, but must understand that gating requires applying with invoices to sell branded products; initial products will not be perfect and mistakes are normal; success is a numbers game requiring multiple profitable products rather than expecting results from one or two items; sellers must accurately calculate all Amazon fees (FBA, referral, shipping) to ensure profitability; and most importantly, consistency in daily sourcing, buying, learning, and shipping is the key factor that separates successful sellers from those who quit too early.

7 Things Every Amazon Beginner Must Know in 2026Added:
If you're starting Amazon FBA in 2026, I'm going to be real with you. Most beginners are making the exact same mistakes, and that's why most people never make real money with this business. They overthink everything, they chase the wrong products, and they expect results way too fast. So, in this video, I'm going to be breaking down the seven things every Amazon seller needs to know in 2026 if you actually want this to work. Featuring my cute little puppy. His name is Junebug.
Well, his name is Junior, but I call him Junebug sometimes.
Hey Hustlers, welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, my name is Jasmine, aka Jazz Hustles, and I'm a 22-year-old Amazon seller. I started selling in the beginning of January 2023, and I'm still going at it. Now, before we get into it, if you are serious about learning how to build a true profitable Amazon business this year, then I'm actually going to be hosting a free live Amazon training this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. EST. I'm going to be doing a live Q&A session. I'm also going to be giving away some cash, guys.
Literally, you'll be able to join a free training on how to make money and also get the chance to win extra money. Like, come on now. And then, I'm also going to go over exactly how to make your first sale within 7 days with no experience as a complete beginner, starting with as low as 100 bucks, guys. So, I highly recommend joining. Like I said, go into the description to secure your spot, or the link right up here, and I'll see you at Sunday at 8:00 p.m. EST.
>> [music] [music] >> All right. Now, let's get into the seven things that you guys need to understand.
Number one, this is not passive, okay?
First thing off the rip, this is not a passive business. So, if you thought it was a passive business, you may want to look elsewhere. In the beginning of your business, of course, you're going to be doing everything. You're sourcing, you're analyzing, you're buying, you're learning, you're shipping. Now, yes, later you can outsource your business just like how I outsource mine. I don't have any sourcing or prepping that I personally do on a day-to-day because I have employees for that now, but I only decided to do that once I already knew how to source myself, how to prep myself. Cuz you don't want to outsource the business too early because, let's just say, for example, that employee leaves you one day. Let's say you have a six-figure Amazon business, and that employee leaves you that helped you make six figures. Now, you're stuck not knowing what to do on your own, and you can't like do it yourself. So, if you come into this thinking that it's hands-off day one, I'm just going to tell you right now, you are going to get so frustrated so fast. Number two, you don't need a lot of money. A lot of people think that they need thousands of dollars to start this Amazon business.
Now, of course, that would be great, right? But it's not something that is required for this business. Now, personally me, I started with about 500 bucks. I have a video actually showing you how to start with as low as $100 that I'll link right up here for you guys. So, make sure to watch that video after this one if that is, you know, the case for you. So, yes, some of you might have less, and some of you might have more when starting your business, but your success is not determined by your actual budget that you started off with.
It's pretty much just determined by your decisions. Number three, you start off gated in a lot of products, okay? So, if you don't know what to gated means, basically, you need to apply to sell different brands and categories to, you know, resell brand-name products on your Amazon store, and a lot of people don't know about that. Right now, I have a lot, lucky for for you guys, I have a lot of ungating tutorials on my channel that if you guys are interested in learning how to do so, then I will link up my ungating playlist right up here.
But basically, you have to provide invoices to Amazon for an application to get approved to sell different brands and categories. So, once you start your Amazon business, you're going to notice, let's just say you start scanning the first day in, you're going to need actual approval to sell these different products, and you're going to need to apply to sell, and that's where a lot of people get stuck. Now, the thing with ungating is that a lot of sellers think that it's just like impossible to do for some reason. Not too sure why, but um it's not impossible to do. Like I said, I have a lot of ungating tutorials on my channel, and it's literally the same process for every brand and every category. You just need to provide an invoice. And keep in mind, there's thousands of products that you can actually sell. You just need to find those products, and then once you get ungated with them, you don't have to worry about getting ungated with it again. Number four, your first products will not be perfect. Keep in mind, this is a business completely unexperienced, like every other Amazon seller that first started their business. You're going to make mistakes. It's going to happen. It's inevitable. [music] You might actually list a product that actually sells slower than you expected.
You might even misread data or forget to to read data, read how much estimated sales there is, how much competition there is. You didn't even look at the Keepa graph or any of that, and that is honestly completely normal. The goal early on is not perfection. It's experience. And every single product that you buy is going to be teaching you a lesson, okay? So, remember that. Now, a lot of students inside of my inner circle are seeing the results way quicker just because they have the consistent help throughout their whole week. We host Zoom coaching sessions every single day talking about a specific topic, and then we get quizzed on the topic right after, so then they make sure they actually, you know, took in the information, so then they can implement it into their businesses. And I've noticed a lot of students recently have been getting approved a lot quicker, as well as getting their first few sales within a shorter period of time. It honestly just takes work, but if you are interested in fast-pacing the success, then I highly recommend it looking into my inner circle mentorship.
We're opening up a few spots left for this month. So, if you're interested in that, make sure to go to this link right up here or inside of the description, and then make sure to answer all the questions as honest as possible to apply to become one of my actual mentees. You will have lifetime access to my Hustlers Academy curriculum, lifetime access to my exclusive Hustlers Discord, where we do five to 10 product leads posted every single day, plus one-on-one chat access with me. So, then any single ASIN that you plan on investing in, I will be able to review it for you before you even buy it, okay? So, you're pretty much there's no way of failing, right? There's no way of failing, and you're going to see the results once you just start putting the work in consistently. So, like I said, if you're interested in that, make sure to go to that link, and also, you can go ahead and book a call with my team. It's a free one-on-one call, but make sure to answer all the questions as honest as possible. And for the specific time slot, if you do go ahead and book a call, make sure you show up because you won't be able to honor another one-on-one free call with you if you do not show up or if you cancel last minute. Number five, this is a numbers game. So, you cannot expect results, big results, your first week, your first day, your first month, especially coming from a small amount of inventory, right?
And you have to remember, one or two products is not going to change your life. It is not going to help you quit your 9-to-5 job. It seriously is not.
Let's just be realistic here. But when you start stacking multiple profitable products consistently, that's where you're going to see the consistent sales come in. Just think of it like this, more inventory equals more chances of getting sales. Number six, you need to understand your numbers. You have to make sure that you know exactly every Amazon fee on the platform because if you don't calculate your fees correctly, you're going to think you're making $10 profit for a product when, in reality, you're losing $5 profit. Like, you do not want that to happen. So, you want to make sure that you're using the SellerAmp software because they already automatically calculate the Amazon FBA fee, the referral fee. If you're doing FPM shipping, then you do have to estimate that in just because it's based off of the actual dimensions of the product, but you have to keep that in mind when you are sourcing for profitable products. You have to know what fees are what. I actually have a video talking about all the Amazon fees, so then I'll go ahead and link it right up here, so then you can go to that video afterwards if you don't really know too much about the Amazon fees. But it's super important because at the end of the day, like, we want to make sure that we're building a profitable Amazon business, not a negative Amazon business. And lastly, number seven, consistency is everything. I know I say it all the time, but it literally is.
Not motivation, not watching hundreds of tutorials and videos, consistency is going to be the main thing. And I don't know why he has his butt in my face.
The people who win in this business are consistently sourcing, consistently buying, consistently learning, consistently shipping, all of that.
Consistently repricing, literally consistently doing that every single day, even when results are slow at the beginning, and that's going to be normal. And if you aren't consistent, you are most likely going to get discouraged, and you're just going to quit way too early. But that is fine because there is more money to be made for people who are actually going to be consistent and stick it out, okay? So, if you're starting Amazon FBA in 2026, understand this. This business works, but it only works if you stay consistent and put the work in. And don't overthink it. Don't expect overnight results, either. Just focus on improving every single day. If you got to the end of this video, comment his name, Junior, J U N I O R. That's how I'll know you're serious about this business. And if you haven't already, connect with me more on my Instagram, my TikTok, where I post more of it every single day at Jazz Hustles. I'm actually thinking about starting to post two YouTube videos every week. I'm not 100% sure yet, but know in the comments if you guys would want that, and if so, what days are best? I post every single Friday already, but I don't know what other days to post. But I'm I might just be saying this, but we're going to we're going to try to do two two videos a week, maybe. That's pretty much it with me. Thank you guys so much for watching this video, and I will see you guys soon, and make sure to join my live training happening this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. EST. Peace.
