Moatsu Festival at Longpayimsen 🇮🇳 | Hidden Naga Culture & Traditions@SanglirVlogs @lifeofavillagerAdded:
Hello viewers, today I'm in Longkhum Village. To witness the Moatsu Festival 2026.
So, come with me. Let's go and enjoy together.
PEACE.
>> [cheering] >> CHUMOUKH CULTURAL TROOP.
This is the dance of merry making.
Dance of victory.
Done during the war time.
>> [singing] [music] [singing] [music] [singing] [singing] [music] [music] [music] >> We have lost our tradition and culture of celebrating who we are.
And today we are proud followers of Christ in our tradition and in our culture. So, let us continue to derive strength from our culture and tradition.
And let us continue to be who we are. Curating ourselves towards the forefront of Nagaland.
Towards the forefront of the community of the nations.
>> [screaming] [crying] [laughter] [screaming] [singing] [cheering] >> This relationship with the Chunar Village is 81 years old. In 1945, this unexpected relationship sealed in faith and Christ have been maintained for generations.
We also have a symbolic bond representing the three parts of Longkhum. Longkhum Ao Mopu, Chunar Sangtam Mopu, and Longkhum Yimchunger Chunger Mopu.
This bond cemented in faith and brotherhood, we pray this shall go on until the end of time.
>> [cheering] >> Chunar.
>> [laughter] [screaming] >> This cultural troop consists of 40 people. And this dance signifies the gleeful dance of the hornbill bird between the newly laid hatchling [music] and its mother bird.
So, the volunteers are very busy for the feast. Festival is not complete without food.
Uh Chunar get your bottle of water.
Happy Moatsu.
Happy Moatsu.
Life of a villager is not easy.
I tell them first class.
