Have Your Own Money | Why I'm Staying Single, Bedroom Final Piece & Home Renovation PlansAdded:
Hey gorgeous and welcome back to another vlog. I have to do my makeup, but you guys, I got so many new makeup products.
So, I wanted to, you know, essentially do like my everyday makeup look on camera with y'all. But first, before I get into that, I have got to for one just say thank you guys so much for all of your love, all of your support, all of your kind words, all of the encouragement. I don't know how to explain this, but I feel like the community that we have built is just so amazing. I was so intentional about it. And I think sometimes as a content creator, you want growth. You do want growth. But I will say this and stand 10 toes down on this.
this slow, intentional growth, the lack of virality, just consistently uploading for this current community is probably one of the best things that I've ever done. It's such a beautiful experience.
And I think that if you are like just if you are a content creator or a a YouTuber or aspiring YouTuber, do not chase virality because you're gonna find it very difficult to really find your true community, your audience, the one that you're looking to make a connection with. But I feel like my community is just the best. I You guys help me. You guys uplift me. Like I read comments, you guys. I read comments and Y'all are leaving like paragraphs and I read every single word and it's just so touching. It means so much to me. So, I just want to say thank you. I want to say thank you for being here for me and sharing your stories with me and like I said, lifting me up as well. I appreciate that. You know, I I come here because I want to kind of lift you guys up, but you guys lift me up all the time and I love you for it. Also, thank you so much to all of the new subscribers.
Like, welcome. I am am like on the grow again and that's really exciting as well. But I love the fact that it's intentional subscribers, you know, like it's the right audience and I love that.
So anyway, I just wanted to say that. I just wanted to let you guys know how grateful I am for you because I truly am. Yeah, I wanted to show you guys some new makeup that I got. Right now, I'm actually going to be going in with the Great Skin Priming Moisturizer. I'm not going to talk too much. I just want to show you. I'm not This isn't a tutorial, girl, cuz Lord knows I shouldn't be trying to teach anybody anything, but I can show you like what I've been doing and what I've been loving. My mirror is right here. I got a hormonal breakout, too.
If you're going to get the Merit sunscreen, which I love. I use it every single day. This is the Merit the Uniform, and this is in the shade number 10. Um, but if you're going to use this sunscreen, you got to get the moisturizer. You You got to get this moisturizer. It just It's like a primer and it does such a good job.
I'm sorry that this is so shaky. Y'all know this is IKEA girl.
I love like this is just my favorite skin tint like ever. Oh my god. up. We got to make sure we get it on the forehead, girl, so we don't get burnt up out in these streets.
We're going to do some concealer. I have been loving this matte concealer.
That's it. Then this new product that I just got that I am loving. It is the Fenty. This is the Sunstalker Sule. This is in the color coffee toffee. This is like the darkest shade. So, this is number seven. I'm gonna get number six as well. I'm just tapping my brush into it. Oh my god, I love this bronzer so much.
And then because, you know, we got the whole little wiggy wig situation or whatever, I like to take this up to the hairline and that helps to kind of camouflage this lace as much as possible. I mean, as much as I can, I guess, cuz girl, I can still see the lace, child.
Can y'all see the lace? That's the question. Sheesh.
But I've officially reached I don't care status. I will be honest with you.
I love it. I love it. I'm going to be going in with the House Labs concealer.
And this I'm going to use to just like correct like deep imperfections, you know. Before I blend that out, I'm going to go ahead and put on my blush. I'm going to be using Meritt's Lab Bomb Bond. I love this blush. It's like a pinky fuchsia tone. It's gorgeous.
And then what I've been doing is just taking whatever's left on my brush from the concealer and then just kind of cleaning up the blush. Now I'm going to blend out the concealer that's just been sitting under my eyes. I love that this doesn't dry down immediately. I really am enjoying this concealer.
Okay. And then lately what I've been doing is taking a powder brush. Today we are actually just doing a Huda Beauty.
This is the color blondie. And then I just tap the brush in here like that.
And I literally just set the under eye like that.
So it's really light and I love it.
Now I'm going to go ahead with some powder bronzer. And I have been really loving the house labs. This is the redwood powder sculpt bronzer. Really love the tone of this. So I'm just going to go in and set that sule. Now I'm going to be honest with you. You might not even need to do that with this this summer like set it down or anything. I feel like it's like a cream to powder.
That sule is not it's not creamy. It's I don't know. It's like it's a sule. I don't even know what to say. And then because I have been wearing out my Skin by Kim palette, like I've been tearing that thing out the frame lately, I've been using the uh Patrick Ta Major Dimensions eyeshadow. This is in the medium.
Sidebar, this is another blush that I have been loving. This is the Armani Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Cheek Tint and this is in the color girl. I don't know the name of it, but it's the color 13. I've just been adding like an additional like dup dupe right here. I just really love the color. It's like a brick color and it might be called brick. I can't remember. Really love this color.
That's pretty much where I'm going to stop when it comes to like the face is concerned. I am going to do a couple coats of mascara. But y'all, I've just been I don't know, y'all. I've just been really liking this makeup. It just feels really pretty to me. And it's not super heavy. And like I said, it's a skin tint and it's got SPF in it. Y'all know how much I love Merits the Uniform. It literally, this is not sponsored, by the way. I just genuinely use this every single day and I love it. And the only time I don't use it is if I'm really looking for full coverage and I'm doing like a full on beat and then I'll put on an alternative sunscreen. But I love this so much. Like god.
Yeah. We're going to use MAC's Velvet Teddy. This has been my favorite lately.
Just too good.
I like a matte lip. I like a matte lip everyday. Okay, that's it. This is like the quick little everyday makeup look. I really, really love it so much. And if I wanted I love the glowy look of this.
like my skin looks really glowy. It's reason why I haven't been really setting it down with anything cuz I really like this look. But if you want to set it down more, obviously you can just take a setting powder and just set it down. But other than that, girl, I love this. All right, so I'm going to I've already been drinking water. This is what I've been sipping on all day. But I'm going to go ahead and fill this up. And I'm going to actually add an element pack to this.
You guys know I love me some element. We drink element often in this household.
We do the packets. We do the sparkling, which is probably some of my favorite.
Like, I always have a sparkling element.
I just absolutely love Element for so many reasons. For one, it absolutely changed my way of life. I used to get leg cramps in the middle of the night, and Element single-handedly stopped that immediately. I have never had another leg cramp since starting it, and I was getting it chronically. You don't have to tell me to keep taking it. I'm taking it. So, one of the really good things about Element is the fact that it uses a scienced back ratio of electrolytes. So, 1,00 milligrams of sodium, 200 milligrams of potassium, and 60 mg of magnesium. Now, what's been a game changer for me, Element has this new flavor out. It is the lemonade iced tea.
And y'all, it has 50 mg of caffeine in it. I can have another dose of caffeine later on in the day and not cause me to crash. That y'all is a game changer. As always, there's no sugar. It's keto friendly, vegan friendly. If you are new to Element, I highly suggest adding a packet to 32 oz of water. That is the best ratio. I'm telling you, chef's kiss. But there's also other flavors that are absolutely delicious. I love the raspberry salt, the watermelon salt, and for the sparkling, if you get the sparkling, and you should get the sparkling, the pineapple salt is crazy.
That and the black cherry goes crazy.
Hydration is so important. I don't think y'all understand. If you have the random headaches or you're feeling groggy or if you're like me and you're suffering from leg cramps, you're probably dehydrated and you need to get your electrolytes in. And the best in the game is Element.
Period. Right now, Element is offering my subscribers a free sample pack of eight of their most popular flavors with any Element order. All you have to do is go to drinkelement.com/natalies and enter Natalie S at checkout. It's going to be the perfect way for you to try out to see what flavors you like best or you can share it with somebody in your household. So again, go to dr r i n k ln t.com/natalie s. And once again, as always, thank you so much to Element for sponsoring today's video.
You guys, the last piece is here.
Look how gorgeina. It's not decorated yet, but I just wanted to see what it looked like with some pieces on it. I got to do some shopping. I also have to move this up a little bit more. I just don't have it in me at the moment. I feel like this was like the missing piece to the puzzle in the room. Now, the room feels a lot more balanced and complete to me. And I could I could move on, girl. At this point, we got everything. The light fixtures here, the bench is here. The table is here. I do have to like obviously decorate it, but we can do that, you know, later. I've got all the major furniture pieces and now my room feels complete and I love it. I love it. So, this right here, this piece is also from Restoration Hardware. It um it was backorded, but girl, don't ask me how it came a little early. So, it came early.
Um, but this it although it's very similar to my actual like credenza and my nightstands, it's not the same collection. It's the same color oak, but not the same collection. So, this is the Byron collection, I think is what it's called. I'm almost certain it's the Byron collection. And it's got the same color countertop. So that golden emperrador marble and the same natural oak color. I just love how this finishes out the room. It's still cohesive, but it's not matchy matchy, if that makes sense. I just I love it and I'm so happy that I got it. I could have gotten a longer like inch, but also just didn't want to overwhelm the space to the point where it just looks like too much because I could have gone the 72 in, but I feel like this is enough. You know, you know how you just feel like this is enough, girl.
This is enough. And another reason why I thought to get a little smaller um of a table, I'm also getting a different chair. So, this chair that's here is going to be also going that is honestly for real for real on back order, girl.
That's on back order. We're not going to get that until the fall. Okay. Maybe a little bit before the fall, but I'm willing to wait because the chair is gorgeous and it's larger. So, it's larger going up in that way. So, I don't feel as though this needed to be any bigger because I don't want this to feel crowded and just like doing too much, if that makes sense. I have such a huge love and appreciation for colorful homes. Um, homes that they color drench their homes, like they'll color drench your room literally where the whole all the walls and everything is like maroon and they do it so well. I love it. I love it.
I ain't doing that though. That would mean I would go insane. I would go crazy and I would fall into depression quickly. I need light, airy, beigy. And it's not because it's trendy. It's just who I am inside. However, I do like a little bit of contrast. And I am trying to pull in a little bit more warmth and contrast into the room as opposed to everything being so light and beige. So, the chair that I'm getting is a chocolate color chair to replace that because it's just too much. a cream girl. It's just too much. I'm like, I can't. So, the other the the chair is going to be chocolate. I think it's going to even feel better this fall and winter. I think I'm really going to enjoy it. And I don't mind playing with a little bit of color, but it's still going to be neutral colors like your browns and your um taes. And it's just it's going to be more color, but it's not necessarily going to be colorful.
We're not doing red. I may do greens, but I'm not going to be doing like red, yellow, orange. Like, that's just not me. But I love to see other people do it. I think it's so fun. It's so beautiful. It's so unique, and I have such a appreciation for those who do. I It's stunning. I'm always just like, "Oh my god, this is like perfection." I would just never do it. If that makes sense. But anyway, you guys. Yeah. So, for now, the room is done. We're just waiting on that chair to come. And when that chair comes, we're moving this back into my closet. And yeah, the next thing that we're going to be moving on to, I'm so excited for is going to be the bathroom.
Lights might be crazy in here, but it's all good.
It's all good. Anyh who, I wanted to show you guys what I got from Zara.
Unfortunately, it's like a half to my orders cuz I was like, "Let me take the chance and give the tops to these." Oh my god, this I didn't even What the hell had Oh my god, I'm so irritated. I thought this was pink and white. Oh my god. Anyway, I'll show you in a minute. At this point though, it looks like this will match, but this is so not my style. However, this is so cute. Anyh who, this is like a little like um what do you call this? What do you call this? What do you call this?
Like a little bando or whatever. This is so cute. First of all, I would have preferred this like a creamy color.
That's where I first saw it and I saw it on meshi and y'all I'm pissed because it's sold out on mesh key. Like completely sold out on mesh key. It stunning gorgeous 10 out of 10. Now, Meshki's price per top and the bottom was like 10 and something, but I love Meshki and I love Meshki's quality. So, yeah. Anyh who, I couldn't find it. It was completely sold out. Then I saw this. Kyra actually had it on and I was like, is this is this the fit? Is this meshy? And no, turns out it was Zara.
Girl, too cute. But the pants were sold out. I did get the pants though. The pants will be here next week sometime. You guys know I'm going on vacation or I think yall know I'm going on vacation in a couple weeks. So, I was like, um, I need these. Anywh who, the other thing that I had ordered, which I I feel like they sent me the wrong thing were So, maybe I got the pants to these and the top is sold out. I remember getting I got to look at my order, y'all. I actually thought that this was pink and white. It's pink and yellow, y'all. I'm actually sick because that's not what I thought this was. And this is an extra large. It still looks like it's too small. Like my hips are going to do it every single time.
It's going to do it every single time to the point where if these are too big, then I almost feel like I mean, if these are too small, I almost feel like the satin pants that I ordered in an extra large are also going to be too small. I should have got them in an extra extra large. That's what I should have did.
But the last time I did girl, that girl, I couldn't fit nothing at all.
I'm so upset. I don't I think I got to take these back. I'm trying these on, but I'm not trying these on, okay?
Because I have some leggings on underneath of it. It's comfortable, but my hips aren't doing me any favors in this. I don't hope y'all can see me.
Girl, can y'all see? Do y'all see this?
I don't This has yellow in it. I should show you what the top looks like. It's like it fits, but the I don't know, girl. It fits though. I mean, you know, it fits though. I just wanted something cutesy. I I should have gotten an extra large and it would have been a little baggier. I don't like it. I don't want it to be so fitted. I'm actually probably going to take the kids out and spend some time since my son just came home. He's been with his dad for like the whole entire week. And um I'm trying to think about what else I'm going to do. I have to look for some tile. So I don't remember if I talked to you guys about this, but I'm really considering doing some things in my bathroom. So I have a really high ceiling in my bathroom. It goes up to about 12 ft. So, I'm thinking about tiling the wall going all the way up so your eyes just continue up instead of stopping at the mirror and then removing that long builder grade mirror that I have in there and then um putting some arch mirrors and I'm considering changing the countertop too. And so, I'm thinking about changing it out cuz I got a really really good quote on some stone remnants. So, just a tip, if you're ever thinking about doing a remodel or if maybe you have a small bathroom or something and you want to kind of change out the granite or change out your stone or maybe upgrade the stone on it, you can find like your local stone or granite place and they typically have remnants. So, basically, they'll go, they'll do a job, they'll do some cuts and they'll have leftover stone, quartz, marble, whatever. and you can go and they normally slash the price significantly um because they're just trying to get rid of that small piece.
So if you have like a really small vanity or whatever the case is, sometimes they'll have a longer one and if you're lucky and you find a longer one, then yeah, the it's significantly lower. So something could be like $90 per square feet, you get it in a $30 square ft type of a situation, which is pretty much what happened with me. found a beautiful quartz gorgeous gorgeous countertop for the lolo girl for the lolo. It's actually what I also did in my laundry room as well. We used remnants and the remnant was super inexpensive. Like I'm talking about near nothing. I mean considering what it would have cost if I would have got it at retail basically is my point. So yeah, we saved a considerable amount and the place that we go to has a really great relationship with my mom. My mom has done a lot of work with them.
They've done my laundry. So, luckily when we went there, he was like, "Yeah, like you know, he he's just so nice and he's going to be able to take my existing granite out and then he's also going to replace the sinks." So, instead of me having the oval sinks that I have, we're going to do square sinks. We can talk more about this as the process goes, but basically for your faucets, you can have what they call a center set faucet and then you can have a widespread. A wide spread typically has three holes that are separated. It's like an eight inch spread. Does that make sense? So you'll have three holes, but they are like they're spread apart.
Or you could have a center set where it is three holes that are close together, very very close together basically. And so typically, or you could have one hole sometimes as well. So you'll just have one fixture that's attached and that's how you turn the water on and off. In my case, I have a center set. That's what the builder did. It's not what I wanted.
It's just what the builder did. I do have three holes, though. I believe I think I'm almost certain that I have three holes. Anyway, neither here nor there. It's been such a long time since we've changed it. But he's going to do an 8 in spread for me. That way, when I go looking for fixtures, I'm going to be pretty much just getting a faucet that has a single handle on each side and then the actual faucet in the middle.
And I'm really excited because that's what I wanted when I was looking for a new house. Anyway, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to swap out the granite for like a nice cala style type marble look. And then I'm going to tile the wall going all the way up. Remove the builder grade mirror. And then I'm considering actually breaking down that little partition that's between my shower and my tub. getting frameless glass shower and then retiling my tub, I mean retyling my shower to match the tile that's going to be going up the wall and then also the tub surround.
That's the plan. We'll see what happens.
I'm still waiting on a quote um from the guy who's going to come in and do all the work for me. I can show you guys like what my vision is. I'll put it up right here. This is like how I envision it in my mind right now. My cabinets are like gray. So, the thing about that is a lot of times cabinetry and tiling can be the most expensive part of a renovation.
I'm trying to get more bang for my buck.
Like, do the least with the most impact.
And for me, tiling up the wall, huge impact. Obviously, changing out the countertop, huge impact. But the actual cabinet itself, I'll just keep that. and um try to marry that gray with some warmer tones like some creamy beiges, that kind of a thing with a little bit of warmth going through. Obviously, the brass fixtures and that will give me a warmer tone. There's just it's too cool.
Everything is just too cool. And as you can see, I'm looking for more warmth in my home. I want the house to feel cozy.
I want my bathroom to feel cozy. And right now, it just feels pretty cold.
So, anyh who, I'm rambling. That's pretty much I you guys have seemed to really enjoy like the home decor like aspect of what's going on in my life and I'm it's really an important thing to me right now is making my house feel like a home. It is super important to me. Like I'm on a mission to make my house feel good. When my house feels good, then I feel good. And when I feel good, then I I'm more productive. When I'm more productive, I'm more apt to do the things that make me happy. So anyway, long story short, that's that. I'm going to go ahead and go grab something to eat, spend some time with the kids, and then we'll come back a little bit later on. I'll get back on camera when we're doing something a little bit more exciting. Hey girl, it's the next day and I am about to go out to run a couple errands because y'all, I fear we are on our way to another project. Yes, we are on our way to another project. Y'all already know I hyperfixate on things.
And like I told you guys, I'm on a mission to love the house that I am in.
So, I'm going to treat my house the way I treated my other house and how I treated my room and the house that I lived in prior to buying my first home.
I treated that house so good that it got me this house. And me treating this house really good will get me my next house. Okay. So, anyway, with that being said, um I feel like my house is sad.
You know what I'm saying? and my house is sad and it's like I need things. I need things.
Just kidding. It's not even that. If I'm going to be honest with you, the builders built this house in 25 seconds.
This house right here was built so quick with such poor quality that it's disgusting. But I'm a homeowner, so I have to do what I have to do. And for one, I have to protect my investment. I can't just let it all go to and not do anything about it. I can't cry about it. And all I really can do with the type of warranty that they gave with this house build is just patch up, fix, and take care of the issues that I can.
So that way when I do sell this house, it sells and we make a decent profit that I can pour in to my next home or I can invest or I could save, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever. Um, so anywh who one, if I can find some stuff, I really want to finish styling my new table, my console table that just delivered. I love it. so much. Oh my god, I love it so much. You have no idea. Um, but aside from that, I want to go check out some tile and see what we can find. I'm really, really excited. I had somebody go by come by and um do some measurements so they can give me a quote for everything that I want to do.
I am going to keep my floors. I'm just trying to get as much bang for my buck without spending so much money. I wanted to look like I spent 20K on a renovation, but not, right? Like nowhere near that. and still be able to get that back when I sell the home. That's the goal. That's what we're going to do here in the bathroom. And then downstairs, we're going to start decorating downstairs as well. So, stay tuned for that because next week, we're actually going to be doing some furniture shopping. We're going to be going to some high-end outlets. I want to go to the Restoration Hardware outlet. We got a lot of things going on, girl. Anyway, but I'm rambling, but I wanted to tell you, I ended up getting a new rug for my room. The rug that's in here I got is like a washable rug. I had replaced another rug that I had from my old house. And this rug I got, it was just like what I found at the moment that fit, but it really doesn't fit the style of my room right now is giving very much like modern, organic. It's very textured.
It's extremely warm. So, I just wanted something very neutral and a little bit more modern, contemporary. So, we got a new rug and I'm about to take up the old rug and lay it out before I leave really quick.
Okay, so this is the new rug.
This is what we've got. I actually changed the orientation of this so it fills up majority of the center of the closet as opposed to before it was the other way. Um, but I'm going to put my chair back over here in this corner where my other chair delivers. And we'll figure out what else we're going to do.
I mean, I think for the most part this is fine. Honestly, I don't think there's any problem with having it in this orientation. I just love the neutrality of this so much better.
I think it's so nice. What do we think?
So, now that I almost sweated my wig off, it's time to run a couple errands.
I've been trying to listen while you drive me crazy.
>> Okay, so we're looking for tile.
I like this. I don't know if you can see the variation in that, but it's kind of grayish. I want something a little bit more warm. Looks like that is what I was just looking at. It's pretty, but it's a little too cool for what I want.
>> Yeah, these are pretty. I don't know if you can see that. They are pretty, but it also looks like it's sold out, too.
I'm also going to need some tile for the shower floor. So, I'm going to need to find something. This looks very similar to the countertops that I want to get. This I can actually splurge on because my shower is pretty small.
So, I can spend a little bit more here.
See? I don't know if I like this. also do a penny tile as well. This is the one I think that I was looking at.
This penny tile right here is what I was kind of looking at. I really love the details and the warmth in this. It's so pretty. It would look like that. And I really like that. And this is a bigger hex.
So, I can either go hex like that or I can go ponytile. Actually really like that actually. And it's less per square foot.
I got to remember that.
That one all the way up there is also really nice. I wonder if you can see that. That is really pretty. I really like that. I need whatever that is.
I'm also interested in redoing the floors in the house. And I like a wood that looks like this. Even if I can find something with a little bit more warmth, I probably would like that too. Like maybe more like this.
And this is engineered hardwood. I also really like this color right here. It's really, really nice.
And I like chevron, too. But I'll do that in another house. Well, they didn't have much inside of Home Depot.
I ended up getting some light bulbs cuz I needed to, but I think I'm going to run over to Floor and Decor. The thing is, I don't want, you know, how there's just some stuff you can't find online. It's just so many things. You just don't know.
I just don't want to miss out on a really good deal on something. I would like to stay like under $8 per square foot because my wall, like, if I was just doing my shower, then I would probably I would probably splurge a little bit. I'm not going to lie. But it's going to cost probably more for me to tile. Let me not say more, but my the square footage of my shower and tub is about the same square footage of my wall. So, it's pretty much like me paying double.
So, I need to kind of cut the budget.
Pretty much $8 is like my max, but I'd really like to come in much lower than that. So, let's see if we can get below $8. So, I plan on adding another light fixture in the middle. Like I said, that wall is about 114 inches wide, and I only have two light fixtures, so I need three.
Well, I want three. And I'm actually going to put three mirrors across. I'm excited. I'm excited. I need the change.
And I want, like I said, I really want to go into my house and enjoy my house.
I want to love my house. Like, for real, for real. And I just need to fix the things that were done incorrectly. Okay, I like this. This flooring is pretty.
This is an option. This is $17 a square foot. Very, very, very pretty.
I think this might be the tile my mom got. I can't remember.
This is a$149 each. That'll get pricey really, really fast. But this is pretty.
I don't know if you can tell the variation in the texture is very pretty. This is also another option.
Another $1.49 as well. So, a little bit more expensive. And this is 2 and 12 by 8. A little shorter than what I wanted to do.
And then this is 3 by 12. This is a little cooler that I would have wanted and a little bit more rustic. This is also pretty. Um, I like this because this isn't actually white.
It's like a oyster color and it's pretty, but there's not much variation. I mean, those there is slight variation, but I feel like the grout needs to be the right grout color. But this isn't the vibe that I'm going for either.
Not doing white.
Nope. This is closer. I like I don't know if you can tell on camera, but there's a little bit of warmth in this tile. This is $139 per tile, though. This is a 3x12. H.
That can get pricey. This is what this looks like.
Very pretty. Very similar to the one that I just saw. However, if I go with this, I might as well go at Home Depot because I can get this for much cheaper at Home Depot. I also like the Zigge tiles, but I can't. They're really expensive. I love the Zigge.
This is like the color that I would love. I want 12 by I want a 12 by 2 and 1/2.
This is the vibe I want. I wanted to be some variation. This is really pretty.
This is a le pearl oatmeal.
No, opal polish ceramic. Very, very pretty. Yeah, this is kind of the vibe that I want. I just want bigger tiles.
Okay, so my mother's outside. I was about to tell y'all I'm on my way to my mom's house.
So, yeah, my my niece has been Hi, Titi.
Like non-stop. Nonstop. Hey, mom.
Where's Mama's?
>> Can she see me?
>> Huh?
>> Does she know I'm here?
>> No.
>> Oh, okay. I'll meet you at the front. At the top. All right.
Pop pop pop.
>> Good girl.
>> Pop.
Oh, all day long.
day long.
Oh, all day long.
All day long.
All day long.
All we are back. We are back. I'm finally home. Spent a little time with my little mas and now I'm about to actually um do my skin care for the night and take off this wig. girl. Let me tell you, I have been using this is a glueless wig, by the way. Just so y'all know, anybody who's new here, just know this is a wig, girl. But, um, it's a glueless wig. So, I do take it off every single night. You don't have to glue this down. But, what I do to keep it on so that way it don't slip back is I spray a little bit of holding spray on it. And I've been using the Kenra.
That is the best holding spray. I'm talking about just tap it down. It ain't going nowhere. I I'm not I'm not mad at the Kenra. It's really really good. If you can get your hands on it. I mean, I got mine at Salon Centric, but I'm pretty sure that they sell that retail. It is so good, girl.
And I got the industrial size bottle.
Like that joint about 16 oz. Yeah. But we're still going strong, y'all. I'm going to do some skin care. I want to do a mask today, but I would do it on camera, but I just kind of feel like Do y'all Maybe we'll do it next video. I just feel like I did my skin care like every single night.
I'm going to get back into it because I'm going to get back into my like daily productive routine and filming that honestly um while mixing in all the other things because you know, we're starting a challenge. We are starting a challenge in June. So, I need y'all to get ready. I need y'all to get ready for the content for the meal prepping. I need y'all to get ready for it. Um, so this is the time when you kind of want to get your mind right so that way you can like lock in. I know it's this it's the summer time already, girl, but it's never too late. Okay, it's never too late. Let's start walking, you know?
Let's start adding in some extra workouts, some lifting of the weights and all the good things and getting in our protein, our multivitamins, like all of our things. Like creating a routine, it's so important. My kids are out of school right now, so keeping and creating a really solid routine is key because it could go left real quick.
Okay, I don't want that. I don't want that. And honestly, I mean, this is my first summer not having to clock in for a job. Now that I think about it, this is my first summer, y'all, not having to clock in for a job.
Every summer I have been half the day, like the days have been gone because I have been at work. So, there is no time like the present than me working on myself. So, that's pretty much what I'm going to be doing. That and simultaneously working on my house.
We've got two missions here. operation.
Love my house, okay? Down and love and treat my body very very well.
You guys know I do hyperfixate and I don't know what you call that. I'm saying the word hyperfixate, but there's got to be something a little deeper. I I'm very aware of the fact that I'm a hyperfixator. So, whatever I'm into at that time, I'm zoning in and that is all that matters to me. That is like my obsession. That's it. With every project or anything that I am into, I am like this is all what is that? I like it, but at the same time, I'm kind of like I don't know if it's a good thing, you know? I just want to know how to balance it. Let me just say that. I actually really enjoy that part of me. It's how I've been able to obtain a lot of things that I've always dreamt of, but I need to learn how to balance it more. If that makes sense. I hope that makes sense. I want to wake up not focusing on the one thing that I'm hyperfixating on at the moment and focus on other things that are extremely important to me. And that's what I'm trying to pretty much get to, you know, and there is just so many goals that I want to accomplish.
And I will say that, you know, I am that girl that needs like a task list. I am the girl that needs like a to-do list, a streak, or whatever the case is because those are the things that kind of keep me on task. What I'm going to be doing tonight is just really coming up with my schedule and my goals and what I'm trying to achieve. And when I write them down or if I have them like somewhere where I can check off, which in my case, I'm about to rearrange some things in my app. So, I'll go to the actual coach within the app and I'll tell the coach like this is these are the four things or however many things, but you could make a list, but these are the four things that I want to accomplish on a daily basis. So, that way it can add it to your stack. So, for my girlies who do have the app, you can always update your goals in your checklist or things that you want the app to remind you of or to include in your daily task, that kind of a thing. So, I'm going to come up with the things that are going to be important for me on a daily basis and I'm going to go in and update my app.
Yeah. So, that's pretty much what I'm doing. Like I will tell you this like being single I don't know there is there is this beauty that I I think it's because I really truly do love myself right now that I don't feel this overwhelming need to have another person here with me and aside from me just really feeling feeling like I truly do love myself and I love my own company. I love my peace.
There's a lock in level that is just unbelievable when you don't have to consider a partner. And it's not like I'm saying that I would never want to consider a partner, but right now in the stage of life that I'm in, I would not even attempt to try to mess up this level of focus that I have. I I can't I don't have that time to give to somebody else. I feel like I need to lock in temporarily for an extended period of time until I have built what I know I'm capable of and then and then and then I can invite somebody in. Do you get what I'm trying to say? I feel like that is so important. If you really have a dream and you want to build something, I wouldn't try and date and get to know anybody because as women like we're so emotional. If you are like you got this dream, you're trying to work on it, you're trying to do these things and you're catching momentum and then you're dating some guy and then the potential of heartbreak comes, right?
Don't let How many times has that happened to women that you see that you know where they're doing great and then boom, heartbreak and then that's it, you know? And it's like, yeah, no.
No. Because when I love, I love hard.
When I love, I love hard. Okay. I am a lover girl at heart, but I do think I'm at the point now where I'm not willing to jeopardize what I'm building to take a chance on love. Like, it's not worth it for me right now. That it's not worth it for me right now. When I've built what I what I'm wanting to build, then I'll it's okay. Now I could go through the motions and if something doesn't work out I could be like all right. I've also mastered detachment like if something does not work out or if something is not for me I just boom I let it go you know and a perfect example of that is when I was talking to someone that I actually really really liked and we had so much in common. It was almost like, wow. Like really, it was nothing that he could have learned from me because I don't tell anybody anything about me upfront. Like, it has to be some sort of weird coincidence. I also don't tell men what I'm looking for in men. I don't do that. This was like a genuine connection with someone that I really liked. And he did one thing. He did one thing that was a major red flag for me. And although I was disappointed because I was like, "Oh, damn.
I liked him." And he was fine, too.
Girl, I told y'all this already.
I was just like, "Ah, yeah. Oh, well, it's time to move on." You know what I'm saying? Like, it was just time to move on. And that's that's what I did. Like, I just detached and I got right like I just That's it. I'm cool. Locked in. But I will say though, I had pushed things to the side. I tried to accommodate him.
I tried to give him my time. And you know, I was making sacrifices. And that right there, and then when it didn't work out, that one moment where he just did that thing where I was like, "Oh, here we go. Here you go." I was like, "Yeah, no."
you know, and yeah, that was that was it. Like I was done, you know, like I I I realized, girl, you don't need to date right now. You can't afford it. It's not worth the risk, you know?
So anyway, I say all that too to say just like if you're a girl or a woman, I think even a man too. I just don't think you should be looking to be in a relationship if you really want to build something that's magnificent because the chance of something going wrong is there. No matter how small of a percentage is, it's still a percentage, right? And it's still a possibility. I say lock in. Really just go hard and focus. Um so that way you're not compromising on your schedule and you don't have somebody guilt tripping you on not making time for them. Just focus and handle whatever business you got to handle. And then when you're really comfortable and things are solid and things are running the way that you want to, I think that's more of the appropriate time to maybe start looking for a partner who adds to your peace and who adds to what you already have going for yourself. Do you get what I'm trying to say? Um, I think that goes for men and women. And you know, another huge lesson that I learned was not being in a position where I have to rely on a man financially. I think that was one of the biggest lessons that I've ever learned in my entire life. Like I think it sounds really cool and it sounds really glamorous to be a kept woman until something doesn't work out or until something goes wrong or the man changes because men do change. I know women try to act like that's not the case but sometimes men change. Sometimes they change. Not all the time but sometimes they do. And if you have to stay in something because financially you can't afford to leave that is going to feel like prison. I say make your money, be independent, and be in a position that the lifestyle that you have with someone that you love is a lifestyle in which you can maintain whether you're in that relationship or not. Honestly, there is it is such a flex honestly to have your own, especially if you're requiring somebody to come with all of these things. That's cool for you to require it, but you should also have it yourself. I think that's the bigger.
Like, don't get wrapped up in the, "Oh, I want somebody to take care of me. Take care of me." No. Telling you like that's no the girls online are setting y'all up.
They're not telling you the other piece of it. And the other piece of it is have your own money, be successful, be educated. Like whether that's self-education or getting an education, keep learning, you know, be a good person, handle your business, get educated, try to be the best at whatever it is that you love to do, and build what you want to build before you start adding in other people into the equation. That way, you can never say that someone stopped you from like following your dreams. We just rambling here at this point, child. I'mma go ahead. I'm going to do my skin care. Uh because tomorrow, girl, I got to hit the ground running, honey. Like, we got things to do. So, anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed today's vlog. And if you're new here, I hope you consider liking this video, subscribing, and hitting the bell notification so that way you're alerted every single time I upload a new video.
