The 6x1 work schedule proposal, currently under debate in Brazil's Chamber of Deputies, aims to reduce the standard workweek from 44 hours to 40 hours over a transition period. Proponents argue this will improve workers' quality of life, while critics contend it will increase business costs by approximately 16-20%, potentially reducing competitiveness against international markets like China and India. The proposal faces significant opposition due to concerns about its timing near elections, lack of alternative proposals, and potential negative impacts on small businesses and employment opportunities.

Congressman, today is an important day in Brasília, with the vote to end the 6-to-1 work schedule. And it's an issue that's affecting everyone, right?
Business owners, workers. A controversial issue that is being voted on today in the Chamber of Deputies.
Yes, today the 6-for-1 pay raise will be voted on in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies. This is very important; it affects the lives of all Brazilians.
It will be approved in the Chamber of Deputies. I'm selling the votes of my colleagues, of the political parties, and the proposal will be approved. It will reduce the workday to 5 days, for a total of 40 hours, whereas today it's 44, and it will immediately decrease to 42 and then to 40 in a year.
This will truly give workers a better quality of life. I approve of this, I support it.
Now, it's an electioneering measure, a measure that doesn't take into account the other factors involved in this process.
We're going to have, first of all, this affects 16 million workers.
We are approximately 220 million inhabitants.
There are 16 million people who have this type of journey, because many people are self-employed, many people are freelancers, doctors, lawyers, dentists, nurses, there's a different kind of journey. Well, you have, for example, public employees, COPEL employees, and others who aren't public employees either; there's no change. Well, so we're talking about 16 million people, but that mainly refers to the Brazilian industry.
service and commerce sector. So, for a hotel, a hotel will increase its cost by around 20%.
Well, the cost of Brazilian products, which already faces significant difficulties competing with China and India, will increase by around 16%.
Any restaurant, any place you frequent, will need more manpower to do the same job. And since there's no reduction in salary, what is the person supposed to do? The owner of a restaurant there, who has four employees, will end up firing one employee to hire another for less, or rather, hire two for less.
So, it will reduce what people earn in the future, it will also make the cost of products higher, it will increase inflation in Brazil, because this was done for electoral purposes, it's demagogic. The Workers' Party (PT) was in power for 3 years and 5 months.
This term alone, and I won't even be counting the others. And with only 4 months to go before the elections, he takes a measure like this, wanting to approve something that will still go to the Senate, then back to the Chamber of Deputies, and he wants to approve this in August, a month before the elections. In other words, that's just a tall tale. And you also have the following situation, uh, of not having an alternative proposal for Brazil today. What needs to be done for this to actually be implemented? Because I think it's a global trend. Brazil shouldn't do this alone. If China does n't do it, if India doesn't do it. If other countries aren't doing it, we will. It is complicated. First, there's the alternative of you having to pay by the hour. They pay by the hour, you earn what you work. So this is how it works in the United States. Either you take it and remove the payroll taxes, which is what I advocate.
Folha should not be used for tax collection.
The payroll system makes hiring difficult today under the current model, and it will become even more difficult in the future. Because you hire someone paying R$ 1,000 and they cost the company R$ 2,500. R$ 1,500 in taxes, it could be severance pay, it could be social security contributions, and other taxes. It more than doubles the cost for the company; reduce the payroll tax burden, don't burden the payroll. This will generate jobs and income, and you can reduce your working hours without any problem. And another problem we have is the difficulty in finding labor, and even less so, skilled labor. If you want to hire someone in Brazil today, sometimes they don't have the training, so that's a problem in terms of education. And also, sometimes a person receives some social benefit, but does n't go to work, because if you add Bolsa Família (a Brazilian social welfare program) to other benefits that the person receives, either due to the number of children or illness or whatever, the person won't go to work because otherwise they lose that benefit, and with that you don't have a workforce. Today we have 54 million Brazilians living on Bolsa Família benefits, and they are all employed. Those who produce the goods are the ones who pay the Bolsa Família benefits to these people. So it 's a reversal of values. The PT (Workers' Party) is getting us into trouble by not doing things correctly. That's right, Dimas. Want to offer your first opinion before we get to the news?
Yes. As Representative Stephan said, this is an opportunistic electioneering measure that doesn't involve a thorough study of the issue. They're simply doing this to see if it will make a difference, because the Lula government has nothing to show for it.
He signed a contract with the population saying he would bring back that spirit from back in 2002, but he delivered nothing. So now, at the last minute, they removed the tax on blouses, and now they're trying to pull this electioneering measure.
They implemented it, right?
And they themselves squeezed out what they could, then at the last minute they pulled the fast one, hid their hand, and Lula said: "No, it wasn't me, it was that guy, Haddad had the idea, and I and Debloy from Lindberg, along with Deb Lloyd and Janones, even made a video. No, we always defended this. Lula was in favor of this." But, but it's funny that there's a video of them, Lula, saying he was defending national industry, that he was against China's policies, and so on, making a whole fuss, squeezing the people as much as he could with all kinds of taxes, and now he comes with this electioneering measure. And in this case of the 6x1 work schedule, it's a question of whether the poor, or the rich countries, those that managed to implement a reduced work schedule with fewer working hours, are the countries that did their homework back in the 60s and 70s, where they had the opportunity to have a structured environment, a country where taxes are well paid, where there is a return in health, transportation, and security. Brazil has none of that. Brazil hasn't even started working yet and already wants to take a break. It's that old story: if a rich person has money, they can relax, but if a poor person wants to relax without money, they'll go hungry.
No, but that's because the workforce there is first and foremost skilled.
Exactly.
You can go to Europe, which is part of the homework that wasn't done here: skilled labor. And they can hire someone more easily because there are no taxes on hiring people. So, today any business owner can hire twice as many employees for the same amount of money they pay.
Yes.
So, if you remove the overhead costs, we can work fewer hours. Raise funds in a different way, not in this way that discourages labor and also starts to take people away from Bolsa Família (a Brazilian social welfare program). Good family is meant to be something temporary. I say this with great respect because it was my father, Congressman Reino de Stefanes, who was the Minister of Social Affairs of Brazil, Fen Cardoso, who created the current social benefits of the country.
But he set goals for the person to meet, both in order to receive payment and to get out of that situation so it wouldn't become permanent. This has to change.
It's because people now think it 's an acquired right, they don't want to work anymore, they don't want to study anymore. which is a disincentive to education, that is, to studying, it is a disincentive to labor, to work. Well, this PT mentality is going to drag us down into the hole. The world is growing much faster than Brazil. People live better in the rest of the world. And this is a result of the incompetence of the PT (Workers' Party) and the left, and the rampant corruption they engage in. They are incompetent, dishonest, and on top of that, when it comes to the ideological issues of implementing a chaotic society, they are experts. AND. And there is one more issue that is a gigantic lie, because they are saying that they are going to do this to benefit the people. And that's not true, because what's going to happen then? You'll work less and earn the same salary, so it's not going to be a problem that doesn't add up. So it will mainly affect small business owners who won't be able to pay the same for someone who works less.
Prices will increase. The price is going to increase, what are we going to do? It will pass the price on to the population. Who will be able to afford to buy it? The rich, the person who is more affluent, will have the means.
Those who are less well-off will have more difficulty when it comes to what the congressman said in relation to the workforce; which workforce will be removed from the market? The one with the lowest qualifications. I mean, where is that? It's on the tip. So, Lula's measure is just a facade, it's just an expectation of something positive, and in the end, it will only harm the humblest workers even more.
Look, what Dimas said is absolutely correct. Brazil needs to change the way it operates. We, and I, now as an economist, am someone who has studied and understands our Brazilian economy. If we don't change, we're going to have a lot of poverty, people will live off welfare, and the country won't prosper. In order for people to live well, for people to be educated, cultured, and have housing, education, security, and health, we have to work, we have to reduce taxes, we have to improve the skills of our workforce, we have to reduce payroll taxes to generate jobs that businesses can hire. We need to have a thriving economy. Then we will be able to distribute wealth. The Workers' Party (PT) has this socialist and communist vision that only generates poverty, only generates violence, insecurity, and that leads us to have a society where we will fight each other, be divided, have people who want to destroy the family, have people who want to steal, have people who want to live like bloodsuckers. We need to change our mindset, and to do that, we need to remove those in power this month, this year. Things have to change in Brazil. That's it.
Okay, folks, you're participating with us, so send us your audio message and share your opinion on this vote that's happening in the Chamber of Deputies. Rafa, if you could play some audio from the Chamber so we can listen, because it's already been approved by the special committee. It was through a very broad vote that the reduction from 44 to 40 weekly working hours was approved. The base text of the proposal was approved by 34 votes to four, and the committee symbolically rejected the suggestion to amend the bill that sought to support Érica Hilton's bill.
Deputy Júnior Ferrari.
You are now listening to the Chamber of Deputies live.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is going to take a while. This vote will take place shortly; we'll bring more information after the break.
President Hugo Mota will put it to a vote after the approval by the special committee that was analyzing this matter.
The PEC regarding the 61 pay scale is still pending today.
It may only be approved tomorrow. That depends on the process that will take place in the Chamber.
Another important thing that people don't know is that this type of issue shouldn't be in the Brazilian Constitution.
We even have the retirement calculation in the Constitution.
This is something only mentally ill leftists would do.
They bring these things up, they undermine Brazil, and they also take these issues to the Supreme Court because they turn them into constitutional matters.
These matters had to be ordinary laws.
And taking advantage of the congressman's presence here, and asking a question, it would be interesting for Brazil... Of course it would be, right? That wouldn't be a solution. Flávio Bolsonaro even suggested that. You pay per hour for how much you work, how much you get paid. There are people who will genuinely want to work more to earn more. This is prohibited in Brazil. Well, in this situation, even overtime hours will be limited. Well, you should respect the worker's right to work as much as they can or need to.
Well, that would be fairer, that's what happens in other countries around the world, and removing those social charges from the payroll, which I think would be the main thing, people would even earn more. The employer could pay better and hire more people, but that would generate informality, right? What's going to happen? There will be no hiring, no benefits, everyone will stay the same, we'll have lower wages, higher prices, unemployment, and Brazil will lose companies to Paraguay. So, the PT's plan was perfect, right? It's going well, everything's fine, everything's running smoothly. And that's something that seems like a good thing, but in practice it won't be.
Exactly. That's it, folks. I need to take a break on the way back. Let's hear about the confusion that occurred today in the special committee that was analyzing this proposed amendment to the constitution.
We'll be right back, in a minute.

Presentation today: ebook by Henrique Gílio.
Well, the listeners here have already sent us several messages about this 6x1 shift schedule issue, but first I'll share some interesting facts that happened today at the committee that is analyzing, or rather, analyzed, this proposed amendment to end the 6x1 shift schedule.
Federal deputy Sócenes Cavalcante from Rio de Janeiro, leader of the opposition in the Chamber of Deputies, even provoked Érica Hilton, or rather, Felipe Silva Santos, that's his name, also known as Errica Hilton, in the plenary session, saying that voting against the 4x3 schedule would be disrespectful to her after she presented the amendment for the 4x3 schedule. three as an alternative to the PEC. What happened, guys?
Yesterday, in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, the PL party said they wanted to vote on Érica Hilton's PEC (Proposed Constitutional Amendment), 4-3, since the country is going to go bankrupt anyway, so let it go bankrupt faster. And then today Sócenes Cavalcante said the following to Érica Hilton, no, you're not going against your project now. Look, you're not going to do that. I doubt it.
That's... that's even... that's disrespectful to yourself, you understand?
Now I ask, did Erica Ro get really mad today with Sócenses Cavalcantes, calling her a... She said a lot of things. Let's hear what Erica Hilton said today in the Chamber of Deputies, in the committee that was analyzing this matter. Erica Hilton was outraged by the bill. Let's listen.
Cowardly, dishonest, and disloyal. If we're not voting 4-3 today, it's because the opposition has always spoken against it. Using microphones here in the special committee, using microphones in the plenary session, has always been detrimental to the subject matter. They said it would break the country, that it was impossible, that it was an agenda that shouldn't be pursued. They did everything they could to stop it. They realized they had lost. Because today we are putting a defeat right in the face of the far right. But then it became very difficult to explain at the grassroots level, because they are enemies of the working class. So, to clear their own name now, they don't want anyone to vote on anything, because this idea of voting on the 4x3 isn't because they've changed their position, but because they believe the 4x3 is better. We always said that the 4x3 was better and we're not voting because of him. What they're doing is trying to bury the whole proposal. That's what Erica Hilton said today.
Dimas, Congressman Stepans, is like Anita from Chopica, with a stuffy nose. That's [laughs] good. But it was a strategy, I found it an interesting strategy from the PL.
No, that's meant to be mocking, it's meant to make people laugh, the important thing about all this is to do it that way. Okay, so let's really remember this moment that's happening now, and in a year or two, we'll come back to collect. See if she'll take back what she said, like she did that day, "Oh, you have to be proud of being Black, you have to be proud of your hair, and so on." And then she turned into a white person with blond hair, right? So it has already been said. And I think that in the future you'll regret it again, it will happen because it will bring harm to Brazil, right, congressman? We're going to have to fix what's being done today, not by going back, but we're going to have to have an economy minister like Paulo Guedes, who reduces taxes, who goes back to training the workforce, who changes this mentality of not working in Brazil so that we can once again have a reduction in payroll taxes, with companies growing again with lower taxes, because in fact it's the opposite, if you remove taxes, companies produce, sell, generate more taxes and grow. And not in the way it's sucking. Today, taxes account for almost 40% of GDP. When Portugal imposed a 20% tax on our economy during the imperial period, it was called the fifth circle of hell.
Today we have twice that amount and are killing our economy and our citizenship. So we have to change that. To change this, we have to change Brazil's mindset. Now, this issue of working less, if we have productivity, information technology, AI and others, this is a global thing, but it has to be done in a different way. This will be done and corrected in a future government.
And I don't know, Henrique, if you saw today, but the interesting thing for the people watching us that happened was Nunes Marques receiving a request from Jair Bolsonaro's defense stating that he is a former president and that his case should be judged by the full court, a criminal review, right?
A criminal review. This could invalidate the entire process, and most likely it will, because what Alexandre Mor, what Alexandre Moraes did to Cid, those threats, remember before opening that, that, that, arresting your mother, your wife, and your daughter, and your father, if you want, you think about it carefully. And now Gilmar Mendes came to talk about Vorcaro, to say that there is a kind of Lava Jato-style practice there of extensive imprisonment that they did with everyone, with everyone, with everyone. In reality, today we have a Supreme Court that is the worst composition in Brazilian history, and which is relentlessly pursuing Nunes Marques's decision to order the prosecutor's office to issue a statement within 20 days regarding Jair MC Bolsonaro's case, which was illegal and unconstitutional. This opens up a strong possibility that the case will be annulled immediately. Well, uh, still on this subject, I was going to bring up this news. Supreme Court Justice Cio Nunes Marques has given the Attorney General's Office 20 days to respond to former President Jair Bolsonaro's request for a criminal review. In the ruling, the judge granted the extension due to the complexity of the case. The deadline, which is usually up to 5 business days for the Public Prosecutor's Office, has now been extended for the Attorney General's Office. The defense's appeal was filed earlier this month and requests the annulment of the 27-year and 3- month prison sentence imposed on the former president by the first panel of the Supreme Federal Court. The lawyers requested that the criminal review be assigned to justices of the Supreme Court's second panel, and not to the first panel responsible for the former president's conviction. The defense argued that the measure would guarantee impartiality in the analysis of the case, with the final judgment by the full Court. In the criminal review presented to the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Bolsonaro's defense questions decisions by Justice Alexandre de Moraes, the rapporteur for the criminal case, regarding the attempted coup d' état. The lawyers argue that the conviction was declared final prematurely, which, according to the defense, prevented a proper analysis of appeals filed with the Supreme Court. According to the petition, Morais declared the judgment final before considering the appeals filed by the defense. So, as you said, this could change Jair Bolsonaro's entire situation, and if he gets out of house arrest, he becomes eligible again.
That's going to happen, right? Because the second panel is composed of Fux, Nunes Marques, and André Mendonça.
There's Gilmar Mendes, and the fifth one, I don't remember who it is. Tofol. Tofoli. It's Tofoli. Tofoli.
So at some point this will change.
That's it.
The only one who voted against was Luiz Fux.
Against. He voted against the arrest of the other group.
In the other class. And now Luiz Fux has changed groups. Then he changed his mind. AND. AND. Now, uh, the Supreme Court has another interesting action. The American justice system notified Alexandre Mor, Alexandre Moraes, by email regarding his lawsuit against Trump Media and Rumble, which was absurd because he tried to force the companies in the United States to stop monetizing their users who were speaking ill of them. Breach of confidentiality, breach of confidentiality. And they didn't accept that, which resulted in a loss of millions of dollars. And he wasn't cited because they followed what's called a "privacy agreement," where the American justice system sends the case here, which goes to the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), and so on, and there's no notification.
Letter rogatory, right? AND. And it is not reported. And what happened with that? One year and seven months passed without any notification.
457 days. That's outrageous. This was a blockage of activity. With that, American justice is no longer in effect. Okay then, let's do it the same way they did. You were notified by email, and therefore the process must now be carried out in your absence. So Alexandre Moraes is now furious, very upset about the situation. And what did he do?
I believe he even did that with a liver the day before yesterday. He picked it up on Monday and sent a request for inclusion to the Attorney General's Office.
He dealt with that yesterday. from Flávio Bolsonaro and also from Jair, Jair Messi Bolsonaro, in a process that is already absurd.
It's a red herring for Eduardo Bolsonaro in the United States.
He did what the left, hundreds of congressmen, had been doing their whole lives: going abroad and giving their opinion on the things that happen in Brazil.
Lula is tired of lying. Remember that story Jaime Lerner told?
Yes, Jaime once said that there were 40 million children on the streets, and he slept on the streets. Jim said, "But where did that number come from?
We're going to stumble upon kids [clearing his throat] there. There are 40 on the street, that doesn't exist." And then he confessed, "No, I said that without any data, without anything." The person was happy, I told them.
This is the responsibility of the PT (Workers' Party), not of Flávio, nor Eduardo, nor Jair.
They spoke only the truth. And you can see that Alexandre is furious, because now he's going to be convicted for his abuses, both in terms of hundreds of millions of dollars in losses for these companies, and criminally.
And he can respond personally, including in his personal capacity. Yeah.
Individual. Yeah, he's screwed, he's a despot. So now he won't escape American justice. AND. And then he'll be stuck in Brazil forever. Wherever he goes, he'll be shot. The future, you can write it down, the future of Alexandre Moraes is bleak.
This guy is going to be removed from his position as Supreme Court Justice and will end up in jail.
Amen.
So be it. [laughs] Oh, Rafa, we have listeners, right? In fact, there's a listener who sent a longer message, but one that I think is very important for us to address; it's William's message.
Okay, go ahead, leave a quick message on WhatsApp, Rafa, or at least send us an email, because he brought an account of what's happening at his company right now. So, let's hear from William here in Curitiba, who brought this account to us.
Good afternoon to everyone present at our Direto ao Ponto panel, the listeners, this is William from Jardim Social speaking. Okay, I'm going to briefly tell you about a situation that happened at the company, okay? I work with people who provide outsourced services, okay? And the situation involved a female employee who worked as a cleaning lady, okay? She was on leave from work for quite some time due to illness and receiving benefits from the INSS (Brazilian Social Security Institute), okay? And when the time came for her to return, she brought us all the documentation, you know, to get the clearance so she could go back to work. And there, among her documents, were several, let's say, receipts for payments she received from the government, okay? I don't remember exactly at the time, I'll give you a rough estimate, but let's say I was receiving an average of R$800, R$800 and a bit more per month, okay? To work 40 hours a week. And I'm amazed by you all, okay? In addition to what she was receiving from INSS (Brazilian Social Security Institute), she received more; she had Bolsa Família (family allowance program), she had family salary, right, for her minor children, she received a prison allowance, okay, for one, if I'm not mistaken, I think it was her son who was imprisoned at the time. So, just from the government assistance she was receiving, she was getting an average of around R$ 3,400 to R$3,500 to stay at home, okay?
And when she returned, she came to talk to us, she asked the company to fire her so she could apply for unemployment insurance, which of course, at the time, we didn't agree to. We told her that we couldn't do that because we knew that later on we could have legal trouble with it, right? And then the employee ends up going there asking for moral damages, saying that as soon as she returned from her leave, the company, in a discriminatory manner because she was on leave, ended up firing her. So she decided to quit because she told us that it wasn't worth it for her to keep working for the salary she was receiving, since she earned much more staying at home doing nothing. And that's the reality we have in the market today, right?
Unfortunately. There you go, congressman. That's what happens, right? We've already sung about this, we're tired of saying it here, but it seems like the people on the left didn't understand the story. The account is true, this is very common, and society is the one that pays for it, because in reality this money doesn't fall from the sky. So when you have someone committing fraud, with false medical certificates, receiving a prison allowance that shouldn't exist, and so many other benefits, well, we are all the ones paying the price. The worker himself, especially, who has a harder life, doesn't want to leave us idle, which he certainly doesn't want either.
This will create a gigantic hole in the history of many people, because there are many who today do not receive all this assistance and they are not in the job market, they are being left out, they do not study, they do not prepare themselves, they do not take technical courses, they have free money.
And eventually, this will end, or another government will put an end to it, it will end because Brazil will go bankrupt. Yes, so it will create a vacuum of people who have been out of the job market for 5, 10 years, and they will never recover.
I'll tell you, I was walking with Nicolas earlier this year and I only did 30 km. I traveled from Luisiânia, from Cristalina Luisiânia.
And along that road we were, I don't know, with thousands of people behind us walking along the shoulder, people from both sides of the road, cars passing by, honking. What he did was very beautiful, that thing called "Wake Up Brazil". There was a bus stop along the way that had a beggar underneath it. As we were passing by, the beggar stood up and started shouting: "I am Lula. I am Lula. I owe everything I have to Lula, [laughs] man.
But he lives in misery, he has nothing, and he thinks that receiving that aid is a good thing. No, in fact, that aid is leaving him in misery. And he's showing what kind of Lula voters are. People who are in misery, people who have no future ahead of them, who don't study, who do n't have [clearing throat] at home, who support their drug use with money from Bolsa Família.
And that's Lula's kind of voters. That's it. No. And another thing, Lula himself recently said that his voters are the least intelligent, the least prepared, the most uncultured. That's why he needs them. He even said: "Ah, we win, win, win the election, put them in university, then they don't vote for us anymore." Yes, we have inversions of values.
Totally.
I... I remember I was in the plenary session once and I voted against some quota situations and other things.
I was saying that there is no difference between men and women and no one of color or anything, that this has to end, that the person who needs some kind of assistance has to be for social reasons. And I said, nowadays, being white, male, heterosexual, and honest middle class is a problem. It is a problem. It's true. I need to take another break, folks. When I get back, we'll have messages from listeners and we'll also talk about the future of the right wing, because today Ronaldo Caiado and Romeu Zema spoke out, beginning to signal the possibility of an alliance for this year's elections. We'll be right back.

Alright folks, we're back and pre-candidates Ronaldo Caiado and Romeu Zema have begun to publicly signal the possibility of an alliance for this year's presidential race. The topic gained momentum after their meeting in São Paulo last Tuesday. In an interview, Caiado stated that Zema is an open-minded person and said that both are evaluating this political alliance, emphasizing the need for humility to recognize that the pre-candidacies of Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro still lead the electoral landscape. On Caiado's side, members of the PSD (Social Democratic Party) advocate for Zema to be vice-president in a... Possible ticket.
Allies of the former governor of Minas Gerais also admit behind the scenes the possibility of a coalition, although they acknowledge that there is still no agreement on who would head the ticket. Romeu Zema himself commented on the matter during an event with investors in the capital of São Paulo. The pre-candidate from Novo stated that conversations about alliances are natural at this time, but cautioned that definitions usually only happen close to the deadline for registering tickets with the electoral court on August 15th. Zema also highlighted the good relationship he maintains with Caiado and other governors such as Tarcídio de Freitas of the Republicanos party in São Paulo, and even raised the possibility of a coalition in which Caiado would be his vice-governor, that is, PSD and Novo could be getting closer.
This would scramble everything here in Paraná, including, right, congressman, just turn on the microphone.
Do you know what the possibility of the PSD serving is?
Zero. What will it leave, right? There is no possibility.
On the contrary, maybe.
On the contrary, it could be, because the PSD has 50 deputies, it has five. Governors, they have resources. Caiado has a Senate seat, he has my respect, he's always been right-wing, always been firm against the PT (Workers' Party), so the chance of Caiado serving Zema is zero. Now, Zema might even serve Caiado, but I want to talk a little about Zema, a bad character and an opportunist.
That's what he is. What he did to Flávio Bolsonaro is unacceptable. At the very least, he should have given him the benefit of the doubt, especially since it was a private contract to sponsor a private film that doesn't involve corruption. And Flávio always treated him with dignity.
Zema has completely lost the conditions to be our representative.
Yes, and they are insisting on the possibility of this third way that won't happen because the world is polarized and so is Brazil. So it won't happen. I even think it's good that they both appear in the debate, both Caiado and Zema. I would even prefer that they each leave in a different way, because that pulverizes and reduces the chance of Lula having credibility in the questions there, right? Because many will attack him. So I even see a positive side to it.
The new candidate has proven to be a national-level opportunist.
Yeah, right? Zema's position is to see the insanity, the opportunism. It took too long to show opportunism.
It's opportunistic, opportunism only divides. Our focus is against the PT, which is a bunch of incompetent thieves, they're bad for Brazil. And he wanted to take advantage of a situation to try to get attention. Yeah, he thought it was the end of Flávio and said: "I'm going to put myself out there, I'm the first to speak, so the spotlight will come on me." It's not going to happen. And even now he's receiving enormous pressure from all the party directorates, because the new candidate needs to secure seats in any way possible due to the electoral threshold.
First, if he doesn't meet the electoral threshold, the new candidate will disappear, and then he's ruining everyone's game, and then he'll be responsible for his own success. No, he's creating a gigantic problem.
Look, William is saying here: "Renan Santos is going to the second round." [laughs] This is another one.
Yeah, the only thing he does is smoke well.
Let's move on to the listeners' messages. The first message is from Marcon.
Good evening. My name is Marcon, always a listener of the radio. So my question is, how long are we going to have to put up with this Supreme Court and this PT? I can't even listen to that vermin's voice anymore. When you play his audio, I lower the volume. I can't [laughs] if someone is discouraged.
So, Marcão, if you take the microphone away, I'll lose my job. Oh, no salary increase. Think about Rafa, Rafa is a jerk, people.
Torture. This is torture.
Let's move on to the next message. Emerson, good evening, Henrique. Dr. G, Rafa, Dima.
And tell me something, who was the worker? The guy who works, who proposed this amendment to reduce the salary? I want to know if the guy worked in his life, who was the guy?
The guy, the guy is the guy, it's Felipe.
Yes, so Felipe Silva Santos, that's him. The citizen's name.
Another opportunist who thought the idea was from that guy in Rio de Janeiro, took advantage and grabbed it and [clearing throat] does n't even know what he's talking about, doesn't understand anything about economics.
Oh, let's move on to André's next message.
Great night, Henrique. Great night to the whole panel, man. I thought I couldn't be more surprised, but it's impressive how this government's ability is to destroy Brazilian businesses, the economy, and Brazilian companies.
My God. They can't propose anything decent, man, that makes Brazil move forward.
Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Their business and their skill is really to destroy Brazil, to get revenge, like Lula said a little before his elections, that he was in prison and came back to get revenge. It was great to travel a lot talking badly about Brazil, people. It was nice to travel and say Brazil has 30 million street children. In Brazil there are 30 million. [laughs] Let's put on another message, there's no more room. Okay, let's get to Alessandro's message.
Good evening, Rafa Henrique, Representative Stefanies.
Uh, I hope that the representative, despite wanting workers to rest more, I hope that the representative votes against this absurdity of changing the work schedule, right? And I think the most appropriate thing would be hourly work, right? A big hug from Alessandro.
That's right, Representative. Vote against it.
[laughs] Oh, Alessandro is right. And this proposal will be very bad in the future. The trend is really to work less in the future, but then you're in a situation where you have technology, AI, IT, training, and payroll tax cuts so that this doesn't burden companies, they can even hire other people. But as it's being done, we'll have to fix it soon.
The story of the cicada and the ant. This will be bad when winter comes. Look here, Dimas, I received a message here, from Félix on YouTube.
Hmm. It seems the program only listens to the messages that interest them. The audience. What a shame.
I'm a listener, but the program is very biased. Félix, send your message here. If you don't send it, it'll be difficult to put [laughs] on the air. First you [clearing throat] have to send it, look.
41995874735.
I'm waiting for your message here, Félix? It hasn't arrived. It's open here, your message hasn't arrived. Let's go to the next listener's message, from Evilme, sorry.
Good evening, Rafa Henrique, [clearing throat] congressman, it's good to see you there. Dimas Milei, good evening everyone. This is a despicable measure.
This PT is nothing but despicable. This will not benefit the hardworking worker in absolutely anything. They will have to do side jobs, they won't be able to handle it because they will suffer losses.
Their salary remains the same.
Everything will increase. They will, they will simply thank all the congressmen or Mr. Congressman, you who are there with the people, try not to approve it. That's it. It will be For the good of the workers, and to study this more calmly, let this year, which is the election year, pass and postpone it to next year. That's the right thing to do, because they will bitterly regret it, the workers, because it will be very expensive for them to get out of it. They will have increases everywhere and I will have to do odd jobs to be able to cope.
Good night, a hug to everyone.
Thanks. Thanks, Vilme, big hug. You're absolutely right.
Miss you, friend.
Just to give you an idea, for the PEC to be approved, a minimum of 308 votes in favor is needed. So, 308 out of 513.
Then it still goes to the Senate, so it doesn't start to take effect now. If any item is changed, it goes back to the Chamber.
And that should happen. This is to be approved in August, September, if it is approved. It 's not for now.
Very well. One more message, Rafa.
Good night, Mercul. Good night, Henrique.
Good night, deputy.
Uh, Celso here from São José dos Pinhais.
I have, I I have a small business. I have four employees. It's more difficult. And in fact, I need to hire more employees, one more person to help.
I mean, where is that? It's at the very end.
Your lie.
Now, with this scale of just an appearance, just a lie for something positive.
I don't know what to do because I needed to hire more, but I don't have the means to hire.
It's complicated for us small businesses that already operate at the limit.
So, and the difficulty in finding competent people to work is very difficult, right? Because there isn't qualified labor, as the congressman said, there isn't.
We have educated people, okay? Okay. I don't know what will happen to us.
This is William.
Let me... No, it's not Will.
Reality. This is the reality.
This is Marcos, or rather, this is Marcos.
This is the reality.
But it's the reality, right, that small entrepreneurs will suffer, because they are the biggest job creators, they are the small businesses.
Exactly. Let's move on to the next message.
Denilson And from Fernando. You can release them both together, Rafa.
Good evening everyone. So, these left-wing people who have these benefits don't work, then they come to the right-wing WhatsApp groups to bother us, to annoy us [laughs] who are quietly having fun among the good people who work and who are right-wing. That's it. Next message from Fernando so we can wrap things up. And Félix?
Félix hasn't said anything yet. I'm waiting here.
If OG isn't on the program, he's participating in a boot competition, [laughs] what a phase he's in, wake up, poor thing. Go to work.
He'll be back tomorrow, okay everyone?
Tomorrow he returns to his post here on Direto ao Ponto. No problem.
Thank you, congressman, once again for coming.
I thank you for your company, Dimas and you, Henrique. Rafa, a hug to our listeners. Brazil has a way, we're going to win this election.
And you, Dimas?
I also thank you for the opportunity to be here with you and to be talking with the listeners of Rádio Mercosul here on Direto ao Ponto. Straight to the Point. And it's always a pleasure.
Tomorrow, tomorrow G is coming, but you're coming too. You're coming too.
You're coming too. So if you want to, let's see Placa Preta.
Let's see Placa Preta. [laughs] By the way, it was Aramis who gave him the nickname Placa Preta, you know? Miss, who gave him the nickname Placa Preta.
Tomorrow we'll hear what he has to say about this nickname. That's it. [laughs] Big hug, big hug, G. Thanks, Rafa. Let's go. There's still a minute left, man.
There's a minute left. Put another listener on. Is there more Fernando to speak? Put him on. There's no time for Fernando.
Fernando's message is too long. But thank you all, folks. We'll be back then, uh, uh, tomorrow with another edition of Straight to the Point.
Delivering on Time.
Delivering on Time. Airton sending a hug here to Congressman Stepanies.
Sending a hug to the boys from Furacão, under-17, champions. That's it. That's it.
And Verdão is going, going, going, going, booing everyone. That's it. Bahia, Bahia [laughs] knocked down a big game. That's it, folks. See you tomorrow. See you later. Bye. Bye.
Hugs, everyone.
You followed straight to the point [music] open.
