This video features Nigeria's Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele warning that the country cannot rely on borrowing to achieve sustainable development, highlighting the need for a self-sustaining fiscal system. The discussion emphasizes that while borrowing can provide short-term funds, it creates long-term debt servicing burdens that can hinder economic growth and development. The conversation also touches on how borrowed funds are often used for subsidies and political purposes rather than productive investments, and how high borrowing levels can lead to economic challenges like inflation and reduced public services.

BREAKING: Tinubu’s Finance Minister WARNS ‘Stop Relying on Borrowing’ Amid $1.25bn World Bank LoanAdded:
Yeah, actually, especially as the federal government of Nigeria, don't meet World Bank to borrow all this time around 1.25 billion US dollars. Now, one bull. What do we all carry and do? Calm down. Calm down. And the people they say, "Why now we be say election don't they come and this administration don't they about to the end? Why they want borrow 1.2 billion US dollars? Waiting they want carry and do as election they for corner?" That now waiting they be say Nigerians they talk. But then, our guy finance minister, just like our guy Wale, he don't come out and counter say, "We no go fit continue to borrow like this so because Nigeria no go fit borrow their way to development."
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu go hear that one. Waiting really they go on? Why it be say with all the borrowing we be say we they go through, things still hard?
Subsidy we no they pay. Nothing we at the people no fit really point anything we they go say, "Oh, this now waiting it be say we they carry the money do?" Then where exactly all this borrowed funds they they go to? Waiting be the thing where we they see say we they they use the borrowed funds do? Before now, other administrations where they don't borrow they go say, "Oh, because of they spend mostly most of those money for inside subsidy." So, at least Nigerians know say, "Okay, waiting make it be say they need they buy things so expensive?" And because government we they subsidize petroleum products of them. When they do subsidy, electricity subsidy don't almost go. And we still they borrow more. More than any other administration before, if not all the administrations join together. Waiting we they carry the money they do? I they come back and go talk about all of this and more plus including things where they happen for inside the political scene because the National Democratic Congress, NDC, they don't bring out their nomination form fee. And people don't they talk. Why they they talk about them? After the break we they come back. Stay with us.
This is >> [music] [music] >> Yes, welcome to our business precious another beautiful day to bring on our update of things that we happen since yeah, I apologize some sudden this late but local woman has been hustling to make sure that she keeps up to the bills. So please forgive me for starting late. I had to go look for money. All right, so let's go straight to the conversation then before but before we go through all of this issue make I quickly bring on some of the headlines of things that they happen for inside our country today. All right, so suspected cultists arrest arrested with firearms in Imo state police intensify action as as Imo state police intensify action against cultism.
Man arrested for planning terror attack in Paris.
And then UUTH, that is University of Uyo Teaching Hospital a shot as EFCC attempts to arrest staff.
Activists at the University of Teaching Hospital that is Uyo Teaching Hospital they no agree today.
They were brought to a activities were brought to a halt today Tuesday May 2 following the attempt of arrests and eventual arrest of Professor Etim Etekpe and three other staff members of this hospital by operators of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC. Now it was gathered that the EFCC officials were attempting to arrest Professor Etim who is the Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee CMCS on a court warrant and met and this actually met resistance from staff members. Bottom line that bring a lot of activities for inside the hospital to a halt. Eight aspirants indicate interest in Rivers governorship race under ADC.
Eight people now want run under ADC for Rivers state including okay Akwa Ibom will give Tinubu highest vote in 2027 presidential election. I probably need to say no worry. Now Akwa Ibom will give the highest vote, all right. And then Rivers we cannot member has no hand in our screening process. APC 90 talk down say we cannot the member you know get hand. You know get hand care. Why you screen in all members you know screen?
Ah, guys you guys stop this thing. But he's a member of your cabinet. Please stop it. I don't like it. Tinubu's policies have boosted state allocations massively. Me I get a leg. Waiting be the result of the state allocation where they boosted? After the boosting, what next? I know half human will say officer Google. How much they come out? PDP I am one attend I next national workshop. Oh, wow.
My name is allowed this to happen. That no wasting people they talk. Now Rivers APC begins appeal hearing for disqualified state assembly aspirants.
And then uh accounts for 26 billion naira missing. CSOs tell Tijani's USB secretary.
26 billion naira that is disappeared, missing. Nigerian refineries sack Ojulari over NNPC oil Chinese firms deal. Restart process at Bapapa. And he say we talk on a sack Ojulari. Waiting they do no good. Out of school children below 8 million. Nigerian government rejects UNICEF's 15 million people. Eh, now eh I don't know if we're living in an oblivion or some sort of space where we don't know.
This whole 8 million thing actually was during President Muhammadu Buhari's administration. You are about 9 this figure rise like this. But I'd like to tell you that since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, the figure don't seem to increase. And you know why the figure increase? It's just be very practical. Because cost of living skyrocket. Most families not fit afford to take their children to school again.
Even government own its owned establishments.
Both tertiary institution that is run by government increase their tuition fees.
So most families not fit afford to carry their children go school again. So it's only practicable that out of school children are likely to increase. So this one no be say we they do calculation or we they do make we make the figure look good. Let's be honest and true to to ourselves. Anywhere where hardship dey, things like this, insecurity, out-of-school children and all that go be a thing. So, why are we trying to pamper the situation? Well, this now waiting Nigerians they dey talk as they dey react to waiting ogah talk. We go see if he seek stronger police public partnership against insecurity. Lagos still Dominion Pizza over alleged to wage disposal. Well, that's that's another problem.
Let's see what we have here now. But, let's move on to other issues very very quickly. So, 2027 NDC fixes presidential form at 16 million naira.
That's his governorship ticket at 13 million naira. Now, let me give you the breakdown. As the national Nigerian Democratic Congress NDC don't announce the timetable and sale of their forms as they go take before the 2027 election.
So, according to the timetable when they bring out, according to them the activities first of all they say sale of expression of interest form will be from tomorrow Wednesday 13th May to 18th May 2026. And 18th May will be what day now?
Let me just be sure that I have the dates correctly. It will be to Monday 18th May. So, from tomorrow Wednesday to Monday night they will be doing expression of interest form. And then, screening of interview and screening and interview of aspirants will be from the next day after the end of sales of form will be Tuesday 19th of May. Then they will start screening.
They will screen from Tuesday 19th of May through to 23rd of May. 23rd of May will be on Saturday. So, they will screen till 23rd of May. And submission of completed nomination forms will be on on or before Monday May 25th, 2026. So, the next Monday they will come start to submit nomination forms. And appeals for screening process will be from May 25th to Tuesday May 26th. So, that Monday and Tuesday night they will do the appeal or take accept appeals. And then presidential primary gong gong will be on Friday May 29th, 2026 when you said Abuja then they go hold their presidential primaries. And then and as the people say a lot of things will happen when that time reach to know whether who go day ballot or who no go day ballot. But then when it come to the fee for the uh you know expression of interest form and nomination form. So expression of interest form for House of Assembly members now 1 million naira.
Nomination form now 1.5 million naira.
House of Representatives now one 2 million naira for expression of interest form and nomination form now 4 million naira. So that is for both uh for House of Reps total where you go pay now 6 million. For House of Assembly total you go pay now 2.5 million. And for Senate 3 million for expression of interest form and 5 million for nomination form. That is you pay total of 7 million naira. And governorship election you pay 10 million naira for expression of interest form, 20 million naira for the nomination form. That is 30 million naira for all.
And for presidential election 20 million for expression of interest form, 40 million naira for nomination form. So two of them go be 60 million naira now waiting they go spend be that. I hope say with this few points of mind sharply I don't express to you waiting they go on and how you be say the NDC don't ready to tackle their election come 2026. So a lot of people don't they talk say NDC NDC. This one that they do like this this price one that they put like this you know they too much. Uh you know say that of the APC the expression of interest form I think 100 million naira people they talk say ah that money they too much oh. But the NDC total where you go pay now 60 million. People say well it's still fair enough. Remember say the ADC been put their own at 100 million too. But when people come talk talk talk make noise they come reduce them to 90 million naira. But now the NDC put their own at 60 million naira. So people they talk say that's for presidency. But for governorship it's 30 million. So people they talk say it they fair so. Person where be say no waiting they do do go fit still get am. But the one where people they interested by >> pass and House of Rep with a very affordable uh the 6 million in all and the um yeah, 6 million total. I mean, yeah, that's it. Let me be sure it's 6 million again just so I don't quote wrongly. Uh yes, for the House of Rep a total you will pay in uh uh 2 million and 4 million, that's 6 million total.
Yes, so people say that one still the money, that one still they okay and the nothing be say you didn't mostly afford the one 2.5 million for the total you will pay for the um House of Assembly elections. Okay. So, let's move on to other issues very quickly. Uh terrorist raid Kano community kill three, displace several residents. Three people now they don't care for Kano state. Now the thing don't reach Kano state oh. Kano state now it don't reach like this oh. They kill three, they displace a lot of people. Nigeria can no longer rely on borrowing for development. Finance Minister Taiwo warns Tinubu as fresh 1.2 billion World Bank loan. loans. You know say one take loan of 1.2 billion No, not the 1.2 billion 1.2 billion US dollars, I beg your pardon. 1.2 billion US dollars. Now stop giving Nigeria fresh loan. Nigerian citizens and social media users warn and tell World Bank. They cry out as Tinubu seek new 1.7 billion 7 billion US dollar loan amid 9.35 billion borrowing in 3 years. No, 9.35 billion US dollars borrowing. Make I no need to call am naira, beg. No going to forgive my forgive my mouth. Now, Nigeria and Lake Chad face growing terrorist threat as ISIS and other militants network rise.
Uh resurgence across Africa, US government 921. You remain the heart of health care, BetoB hails Nigerian nurses, midwives on World Nurses Day.
With 100 bags of cement going for million under tinubu. Large number of Nigerians may never get to build their own houses before they die. That's what social media users only talk. If you go fit buy just 100 bags of cement at 1.2 million, how many people go fit come build house like this inside Nigeria?
You no come be like say people get hope say they go ever fit build their own house again. That means if you just be dream wey people go get, and a dream that may never be fulfilled again in life.
God forbid. Only insane people still support tinubu after block Okay, after block rose from 250, that is after block rose from 250 naira per block to 900 naira per block. Cement from 3K to 10K. I mean local uh local uh flights become and say okay, they say local flight become become unavailable uh within 3 years. That now waiting people dey talk. So we say who go who in their right senses go say they want even vote tinubu. Wetin you want vote am for? Wetin he achieve? Now waiting social media dey talk. Na people dey write am. California mayor resigns after being charged as secret Chinese agent.
Mhm. Tinubu has turned Nigeria into crime scene where any APC member can go from being wanted to picking nomination form. That's what social media people dey talk. So from being wanted man to picking a form. Now waiting we don't become. Now 16.7 billion naira uh culvert newly built by tinubu's government to replace Mopa bridge shows cracks. That is a newly built and newly built to replace Mopa bridge. It say him don't crack.
Deep crack like this here. And a 16.7 billion naira we use build the culvert.
16. You see the money them wey we dey use build something and when it dey last. That now waiting people dey talk.
As the thing don't already break down.
Okay, international community will align with opposition to remove APC government in 2027. Premature you dey don dey see vision again for in spirit eye. You don't see am say I see international community coming together with a position to make sure they remove tinubu as supreme say it's the real one. I see the talk say tinubu go lose 2027 election or since tinubu vow to Plateau killings he say since tinubu's vow to Plateau to end Plateau killings that's how the killing don't increase over 50 say over 50 residents of Plateau state don't even die since that time. What thing he don't feed you?
People say nothing. American missionary Barbie rebukes Nigerian army following disarment and arrest of Plateau youths over possession of locally made weapons to repel terror attacks. He say wait under the arrest youths them we carry weapon to use defend themselves. But then the people we they kill them go go go when I know they do anything about them.
People we they kill them go go go when I no see anything we they wrong. We waiting them they do. Oh wow, how interesting. Is that how it's supposed to be? That my question we Nigerians they ask. And then Museveni sworn in after seven term as for seven standard as Uganda's president extends 40 years of his rule.
This kind thing I waiting they happen and nobody fit talk anything. African Union no fit talk. Tomorrow now if people say they do their own now when I go open my mouth and talk. But is it fair what is going on? What is the democracy in this? That my question we people they ask as this one they happen like this. But then moving on very quickly I'm a kitty born candidate emerges highest scorer in 2027 UTME with 372 as a cut off point. If tinubu truly wants a better Nigeria he would have used the money spent on campaign rice buses to provide better electricity for Nigeria. That's what one Nigerian man don't even talk about. I will show you the video later. More uh troubles for tinubu government as international firm escalates NSA's directive to conceal terror terror strikes from public until 2027 election. So some international company they don't reason they say so more troubles have emerged for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration as international firms said it has escalated allegations regarding a report or reported directive linked to Nigeria's security adviser Nigerian leadership that they should hide anything that's got to do with terror attacks till after the 2027 election.
They don't say make the world come see how waiting they happen for here or okay. Atiku has no moral right to question zoning formula after dragging Jonathan to court in 2011 violating PDP for violating PDP uh rational arrangement. That is the rotational arrangement. That now waiting we find you see now and some others they tell Atiku Abubakar. Nigerian military kills over 100 civilians in Zamfara market air strike days after Niger massacre. That is another people don't die oh. Over 100 people don't die again for Zamfara state. Wow. Then if they they die like this say if we they kill people like this as you may see because of say the terrorism they join together with civilians. The terrorists go go how many be their own casualty? We go like to know. Now waiting Nigerians they talk with that. Army sets up panel to hunt soldiers who leaked Yobe terror attack following NSC directive. Well, these are some of the things you will be seeing they happen. Then moving on. I'll work with Obi anyone that emerges as NDC presidential candidate. Hon. Kusada talk that one say him go work with Peter Obi or anybody we go come out as NDC presidential candidate. I'm not an a native doctor. Wike distances self from Rivers APC screening.
And Wike Wike well done sir. Well done. Well done. You are the Jagaban of politics in Rivers state. You they show them away.
US secures 13 million US dollars settlement against PayPal over discriminatory investment program. Let's see. Ghana to evacuate That Ghana Ghana listen. Ghana be in the one sack 300 citizens from South of South Africa over xenophobic attacks. Ghana to evacuate 300 citizens Okay. 300 other citizens from South Africa. They want bring them back over xenophobic attacks. Nigeria, what are we doing? That's the question a lot people are asking. And then let's see what we have here. Repentant terrorists undergoing rehabilitation won't return.
They say they no go return to terrorism again because they swore with Quran, but our local government don't even talk am.
Terrorists where they undergo where they they reintegrate to society, they no go ever go back to that crime again because they swear by the Quran say they no go go back to am.
Yeah.
All right. Make I face another matter sharply.
Abuja pastor, um Amos Isa, accused of raping 14-year-old in church, visits victim's family at night to beg for forgiveness.
Hm.
IGP bans POS operators within 200 m of all police stations in Nigeria over extortion allegations. What do you go?
After that, what will happen next? Oh.
Okay. Uh kidnapped Southern Kaduna priest regains freedom after 3 months in captivity.
And US identifies West Africa as terror battleground in new counterterrorism strategy. Enemy condemns EFCC's alleged reckless and barbaric assault detention of UUTH Professor Ayo Akpe. And then ban the use of honorary titles of Jagaban, Iyaloja, and Asiwaju.
Ah.
Oluwasanmi's Abitoko, uh Delta judge tells activist uh our was counsel to withdraw petition against him before case can proceed. Wow. Ghana orders immediate evacuation of 300 citizens. I told you that already. And um let's see.
Trump's administration accuse Europe of failing to confront Islam Islamism and growing terror threats in the world.
See, uh on an old agreement confront this thing. Nigeria army reveals how civilians cattle markets fuel Boko Haram insurgency in Northeast. Uh let's see again. Now, some of these issues and more now waiting we get for inside the news today. I just make I bring on a quick update of things that happen for inside the news. But then, here now some of highlights of conversations of what is in the happen for inside the news.
Listen to this.
We approached Atiku Abubakar. We have a group former governors, former senators, former ministers.
We normally meet here. We approached him and told him, "Look, we have been an ally of yours over the years.
But now, the Southeast is yearning that it is the turn to produce the president of Nigeria."
And he said, "Okay, fine."
He will not be an obstacle to that.
And that was why he was the only presidential aspirant who said, "Look, if the party is zoned the office to the Southeast, he will support the Southeast financially or otherwise." He said so?
>> Yes, he said.
That he will step down his ambition.
>> That he will support the Southeast. We were very clear. He didn't It was not It was quite clear.
All right, did you hear that? I mean, let me to repeat him again. I make I repeat him again again.
Listen to >> Atiku Abubakar.
And that was why he was the only presidential aspirant who said, "Look, if the party is zoned the office to the Southeast, he will support the Southeast."
financially and otherwise. He says so.
Yes, he said.
That he will step down his ambition.
>> that he will support the Southeast. It was very clear. He didn't It was not It was quite clear.
All right. Uh No, ask me the context of this conversation. More conversations on the come up on meeting the BC the agreement between Abubakar and uh the other team them being guests 2023 and this 2027 election. And people don't they talk about people don't they talk say So, having had this kind of agreement whether in the past, why can we not ensure that we uphold this as the 2027 election become close. Now, waiting to make people don't raise this.
Meanwhile, with all of this drama and all of these things really going, people don't they complain say wait, oh. All these our politicians self, make una no vex so. When I really be here to help our interest or una day to just pursue una own personal ambition? Because is it that you guys are not seeing how things are done in other countries? And So, to just make sure say una una do things the way we be say it's supposed to be. Well, some some people don't talk about a person we be say travel. They show the kind of development we do for other countries and how Nigeria they lacking of that development. Interestingly, I guess I'm waiting to book. I'm at the train train station in China.
Guys, this is train station.
This place is train station. So, you see? Look at the view. So, these our politicians, they know all these updates. This is train station first.
Look at this in China.
So, what are you people doing in that Abuja?
In that House of Assembly, Senate, House of Representative, what you are they represent us?
Come China, come see no big man, there's no poor man.
They eat the same thing, they wear the same clothes, they do something for their people. Nigerians, any politicians when no do well, no vote them.
Collecting money, chop them.
Chop If they give you money, don't reject it. Collect their money, vote your conscience.
These our politicians, they are very, very wicked set of people.
See, no mind anybody first, oh. If they want to give you money, collect the money. During vote, vote your conscience.
What we see here, this is train station.
In one of the state first, oh.
Poor man, they stay here. Rich man, they stay here. Children, they stay The same thing with flights.
These people no even know which one be economy good They are just equal. They love each other, they love their country.
See development in the country. See where I stand. There's underground here, too.
Nigerian youth, any politician that give you money, collect the money, eat the money, vote your conscience. That is my own. Thank you.
All right, and then you begin to wonder say our politicians indeed, do they travel go all these places? Do they see all these developments? Abi, their own country within the battle, they use their last blood, they use their last energy, they fight today to rule and head. Their country they forbidden to enjoy this kind of thing we be seeing they they see for other countries. That na question we lot of people they ask.
Why e be say our governments or and our and our hand and their handlers, they no ever imagine say, ah, as we go see this kind development for this country, oh, we could bring am come make it reach our Nigeria. Why e be say we no they think am like that? Why we they do things only just, you know, to as it suit us, as it suit us alone.
Why? Why e be say when they come to invest heavily, most of them or most people they go invest outside the country? But when it come to collect money heavily, he could collect from their country, invest them for other countries. So, they need to see all these things. They need to see all these development for inside of that countries. They need to think of ways where they will be able to replicate same and bring and come into their own country. So, this is what the Nigerians they they talk about.
And, um you know, because of the kind of money politics we don't see now. We don't see the amount of money people they put in for politics this period.
And, of course, especially the kind of money where they cause problem for APC or progressive governors for you. As it gets to do with the money where they earmark and put together for the 2027 election. Some people they talk say, "Wait, all that money, if they buy people conscious finish, maybe as they say they don't want for nice hunger finish, should people receive it, take it, or make people condemn the money just like Ghana people do?" Make they just throw away their money, face them with the money, I be carry the money throw them and vote their conscience.
Well, this man here say, "Nigerians are going to collect the money, but we're going to still vote on our conscience."
But, the thing we say, "Person where they hunger, he get conscience?" That a question what the people they talk. Speaking about hunger and hardship, this is how bad it is. A man today was crying out because of say he go hospital for inside Bonny River State, they no agree attend to him. Make him watch out.
I am right here at the General Hospital.
And, as you can see, my bone is out from my hand.
Nobody is talking to me at the General Hospital.
Nobody. General Hospital in Bonny.
Nobody.
I should go to UBTH.
That's is what they told me at the General Hospital.
Look at me. I am at the General Hospital.
Nobody is attending to me.
This is our hospital in Bonny here.
Nobody is attending to me. Steve, let's go.
Let's go.
I'll be fine.
Sad. Okay, I beg you, those of you that are way they abroad there, waiting be the standard to even attend to people that we be seeing they in severe pain or they need of medical help. Waiting be by the standard really? Because some people they want to know what do you mean by the standard. How you be say person will fit carry himself come hospital or go fit come hospital and obviously they in need of medical or urgent medical help and that person no fit get am. What do you mean by the things and what do you mean by the criteria? Oh, speaking about hardship, hear and learn more of what do you think people get to talk about today.
Yes, my people. You see this here?
This is ice fish. If you want to cook soup, you use this to cook soup. Before Tinubu become the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria, you see this ice fish here? This is 500 naira. After Tinubu now don't become the president of Federal Republic of Nigeria, you see this ice fish now na 3,500 naira. Can somebody tell me why?
Why and the how? Why did you be so? Tell me.
Allow the poor to breathe.
All right, so you don't hear am. He is a man that love people to breathe. For somebody who did ask the question if he did actually say what he said. Yes, he did say so. He said that Nigeria cannot borrow its way to development. Remember when Wale Edun be also talk am say our debt servicing and other stuff them say it dey weigh down Nigeria's earnings as in say it dey weigh down our money wey be say it dey it dey burden Nigeria.
Debt servicing dey burden Nigeria. And it's just normal mathematics. When the borrowing don't dey more, the amount we go dey use to service the debt go dey more. It's just normal. So, whether you dey really talk am or you no talk am, all of us supposed know. And truly, is it possible that any country can borrow itself to to sustainability? You know dey possible now. So, that's what he said. Go go check it. Google it. He said that. No be me talk am. So, yes, he did say that and it's confirmed across this platform.
You know, so no be me talk am at all at all. So, yeah. All right, so moving on to other issues we be say dey happen for inside the country. If you remember say courts don't fix date wey be say dem go use know where dem go dey disqualify ADC, ZLP, and some other political parties including Accord party. Now, here are some of the way they say from ZLP where they be say being a complaint as to how ABC government used to treat us for the I mean the complaint you say they know what in fact he's had a lot to say. What I wanted to point out is the fact that this particular person I think during the 2023 election when be the fume they talk say no they no go accept the result for international conference and then inside Abuja. He didn't quite act the same way with as an opposition. And all of a sudden now he vex say they want to register the party.
Make you watch out. I told you all to know that Malani was on that seat yesterday.
He is there today.
He should warn himself.
As I said, it has been alleged that this case was cooked in his office.
That's all. Why would you do that? And you are willing to a party that saved this democracy, that made President to be president.
The intention was to stop that process.
And then he would have come in to achieve his purpose.
You have forgotten so soon.
Did Did you hear what he said?
Say the party follow save the democracy.
Did you hear what he said? That the intention wasn't to even make president.
That they didn't want to be president.
The intention was make the election get us a B so that Buhari go continue then maybe put an interim government. Just listen to that.
>> The intention was to stop that process.
And then he would have come in to achieve his purpose.
You have forgotten so soon.
If you want to steal steal honestly and decently. Tinubu wouldn't have been president.
Muhammad would have dissolved INEC. I've said this several times, nobody had challenged me. That's what was in the chat.
Because he didn't want President Tinubu to be president.
He would have dissolved the INEC INEC, put somebody else.
The person will address you after a week or two that he needs more than 6 months to clean the audience table.
By that time, Buhari's tenure will be running.
And at the end of his tenure, he will achieve his purpose by using of course the National Assembly that was ready to apply the doctrine of necessity. You will have an interim president.
Tinubu wouldn't have been president.
Have they forgotten so soon?
Has Attorney General and his enablers forgotten so soon that we saved this democracy?
That you want to liquidate us.
Even not recently.
I'm honest here.
So, I'm responding to him, not what is in court. INEC has filed a response that it is not true. The Labour Party won so so so so so. In fact, they debunked all the depositions by Attorney General and others.
That this man did not win. INEC took it in the response. I'll give you before you go. One after the other.
So, what is his intention? What is his statement?
So, that is the purpose.
And I'm calling on Nigerians who want to contest election.
We have no case.
Hm.
Okay, you don't hear what he's saying talk.
You need me to interpret him again to you. I know with my mouth and I go hear everything now. And then somebody did ask a question now, what is my take on a non-performing government? A non-performing government no get any temerity to even talk say they won't come back, come contest another election.
As a matter of fact, I think Nigeria should have very stringent laws for people with BC no the perform.
Just like China. If possible, people with the involved with the government when you keep to their words with the involved for corruption with suffer the lives of people something strong the strong punishment should come upon them.
I know me they hang them or something stronger. See until we get stiffer penalties for non-functional people people with need the function for government and with the use government money for other purposes. Nigeria it go hard for Nigeria to better. The reason why people they do with anything they do now because no stiffer punishment. They feel like they can do what they want.
And you know what? Nigeria does not just have is not just bad that we don't have stiff punishment for people that do these things. We rather reward them with praises.
We go reward them with chieftaincy title, reward them with honorary awards and degrees, reward them with a lot of things.
Now waiting we use reward them?
And that's why we are the way we are. So please that's not even a question.
Anybody that does not perform even if na my pander from grief no perform, please push him off.
Push him off because that person no they do you no desire but you no you no you no deserve to remain in government. Now talking about um excuse me government and all of those uh you know say we can all talk say you no be waiting she no get hand for waiting they happen for inside APC uh primary so inside River State and then APC say don't come out and talk say oh we can all be their members so you no get hand for waiting they happen for inside APC too. However, um the APC screening committee don't talk something. Make we listen to waiting they talk. So I really don't know about the 31st of the 31st. I really don't know. Then the first question is on what? I said if part of what was handed over to you >> Yes. those people that were disqualified Yeah, what they handed you? full comprehensive report of those cleared and those not cleared. It is one document that was sent to us and the reasons Do you know the number? How many So far many petitions have you received? Uh uh we have treated nine so far.
So, if we can't We're taking them up.
Uh Onodja, maybe secretary.
Uh my question wasn't really answered. Uh what's your question?
>> I said it was a lot cleared by different committee. All right, 33 were cleared.
And 65 were not not cleared. You know, I think the report we have has a list of 98 aspirants. So, if you separate them out arithmetically, 33 and 65, the the total sum will be 98.
Okay, so on the issue of the application you received, sir, we're still interested in knowing, sir.
Uh Onodja, what's the number in the secretariat?
Uh how many appeal petitions have we received? I've received We've received 15 So far, sir. 16. 16.
We treated nine.
Okay, are you still receiving or you closed uh We have not our my my in my the time of my remits ends 13th of May 2026. Okay, tomorrow. Uh which is which is tomorrow. I'll be here till 5:00 p.m.
That's That's the closing time. Uh business closing time for the day. You know, for for tomorrow. People have appeared before who did not present who did not present documents upon which they were they were not cleared.
Uh who have promised for us that they have these documents, and I've asked them to go present them to go look for the document bring these documents in before the close of day of day today. So that uh as an as an appeal committee, uh we we speak so much to documents than than your own Let me explain it to you by the way. That's not the, you know, um, committee that we need in charge of screening and the appeal of people who did the screening for inside, um, APC.
And they speak about the River State rejection of the assembly members who did loyal to similar life of a brother.
And within they don't do as you don't give them upper courts for there.
However, um, earlier today Rufai Oseni had this to say to Atiku Abubakar over the zoning issue. And he's been making quite some wave taking the decisions.
says things only when they favor him.
Is this not Atiku Abubakar What? Says things only when they favor him.
Is this not Atiku Abubakar that went to court against Jonathan in 2011 to ensure the PDP zoning formula uh, and his associates, MPLF They went to court, his associates went to court. There were many court cases ensuring that they must insist >> I think in one of the rulings, the court said well, they can't assume jurisdiction and give a decision, but they acknowledge the fact that PDP had a zoning arrangements.
So then, when he was going to court, when he was pushing then against Jonathan zoning was not self-defeating, abi?
When he left Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007 that Jagaban zoned what is it called? To the north for him.
And he ran in that election correcting if I'm wrong against um, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.
Zoning was not a bad deal then.
When they finally got their way in 2015 with the APC and they said, "Oh, because Jonathan reneged on the time, they were going to punish him."
And they zoned the ticket to the APC in 2015. Zoning was good then.
When he came back in 2019 to the PDP and after they had cried, "Oh, PDP has suffered from all of or all he did in the last election and he zoned the ticket to PDP then in 2019. Zoning was good then.
But when his own ambition held sway and people were saying after zoning in 2019 they should zone back to the south 2023, he said no zoning is not good then and he scattered the zoning agreement.
I ask, please prove me wrong. Fact check me. I you I don't talk without facts.
Let's go ahead. I like to talk with the empirical facts. That's why they call me a man of facts. And please bring your heat on. I'm ready. We are saying these things to save this country.
On the second on the second of December 2010 zoning we have been vindicated Atiku.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described last Tuesday's judgment a great victory for honesty and integrity and rebuke against arbitrariness. He reiterated President Jonathan's decision to contest 2011 will send wrong signal to group and organization that basically developed constitution and ground rules to set operational guidelines. This was when they were fighting in favor of zoning.
That power should have come to the to the north for them to finish the term.
So in other instances when President Tinubu now gave him the right to run, his own part that time, there was there was no big deal about it then, right?
Why we why are we talking like this? Why are we always talking like this?
You know, despite fighting Jonathan, he still went ahead and vied in the primaries against Jonathan before he was beaten and Jonathan emerged in 2011.
Zoning was good when Atiku is fighting, when Atiku is on the ballot, when he wants to get it, zoning is self. When zoning doesn't favor him, zoning is bad.
When zoning favors him, zoning is good.
When it doesn't favor him, zoning is bad.
All right, so just to you know, for for context for people who know if you understand waiting later this outburst by Atiku Abubakar attack NDC over zoning presidential tickets to south because we inside a statement to be saying release in toxic in fact in fault the zoning of a NDC presidential ticket to the south. He described the move as a setback a setback to plans by opposition parties to this Please President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections. So say not setback by the plan will be say all this opposition don't get all the plan where they don't get now to come up President Tinubu for government. So this will not go set the plan backward. Now a lot of people Yeah, so he now said the former vice president said the zoning which is meant to solely benefit an individual.
That is say they zone the thing to benefit an individual one person which means Peter Obi is strategy that could weaken the efforts to unseat the ruling party. Say that strategy will go fit on weakening well, you don't understand the English already. Now Atiku said in a statement by his media aid Olu Shola Sani that presenting another southern candidates that is presenting another southern candidates against President Tinubu who is from the south would place the opposition at a disadvantaged disadvantaged point ahead of the elections. So it was the first time Atiku directly react to the zoning of the presidential ticket by the south and the NDC. So people come talk say waiting. Excuse me. Excuse me okay, no vex. You say if they zone the matter say now waiting. But just like what Rufai said now in 20 2007 you contest against your brother Yar'Adua. Abi?
You and Tinubu party. In 2011 you also contest against Jonathan.
Eh? That time you contest against your brother Yar'Adua. No be not not join join together. Why you no consider and say no, a northern candidate cannot contest against a northern candidate.
So, please let's bring somebody from the south to contest against Yar'Adua. Why didn't you think about it like that? So, this na part of waiting the busy people they talk and na waiting make er finally talk say zoning dey bad only when it be say you get to benefit. I'm now talking about that zoning issue and Tinubu. Hear waiting some other All right. So, make I just talk about the purpose of those students first waiting they understand how to say the language. But according to people interpret to me, they talk say they basically they explain say all the rumors we all una dey hear, say all the things we people dey talk say go happen, go happen once Tinubu gets the 2027 re- you know, once him in dey reelected in 2027. Say once insecurity starts for inside south, say him go send heavy funds, heavy money to tackle the insecurity immediately because er say southern as dey more important pass northern as I dey. Is that to say that President Tinubu is not sending enough money to tackle the insecurity in the north? That my question with people they ask. And I waiting make people they wonder why he be say northern leaders or northern imams they talk like this understanding how influential they they shaping the mind of their people. Now talking about politics self, uh did I tell you that um Alex Otti uh was to receive an award today?
And something interesting happen. Okay, going back to this insecurity thing. I wish I would play that video for you.
When he be say the governor of uh the Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, he talk say uh say uh people they post the killings and waiting they happen for inside social media and he need the help. Now that people posting the killings and attacks in Plateau State on social media are deliberately trying to demarket the state.
So people say since he be say he join before now he dey try dey hustle with your people they talk and all that. But since he join APC now, he don't come down. Next thing now, you know how many people even talk about the killings again.
Now you say don't follow for people now where they try clamp down on people from talking about waiting they happen for inside the country.
So it's now forbidding to talk about what's going on in the country. That now waiting people they talk about that. How fair is this? Their governor where he be say your people vote for and expect you say make you really defend them, stand by them. So as he enter inside another political party now he come be like say he no too come get their interest for heart again. Ogah, why now? Why you dey do like this? So let me take you back to what Alex Otti said here today where he was to receive an award.
Take you listen. Your Excellency, sir, we present you with a lifetime achievement award for the student union.
Lifetime achievement award Greatest Nigerian students.
Um let me start by thanking you for this award and for the image.
I want to accept the image but unfortunately like I said in my inaugural speech on the 29th of May 20 23.
If you go back to that speech, that was 44.
I had said I was not going to receive an award a chieftaincy title honorary degrees or anything of such until I finish serving out my tenure.
I'm not going to reject this award but I'm going to ask that you keep it.
By the time I'm through if you still think I'm worthy of this award, you can bring it to me.
Thank you so much.

Thank you. I've been listening to your program and I've called and called and called.
>> I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, ma, no vex.
Okay, All right. all right.
Remind us your name and where you dey call from I beg, no vex. I'm calling from Houston, Texas. All right ma, you're welcome.
When the country became so bad I had to jump out with my family. Chai.
You left us.
You left us.
>> Yes ma.
>> [laughter] >> Yes ma. You're welcome, go ahead ma.
I want to come back home.
Mhm.
>> Because I'm old, I'm in my 70s and I I need to come back home.
And you all that are there, please just you help us and advise uh uh help us and advise uh uh the uh uh NDC. Mhm. Um like here we we uh we donate for the parties, whatever party you belong to you donate you donate for your candidate, you donate for the party for the elections. Mhm. We need to donate. Okay.
>> to donate to our candidates. Okay. So if they open a place for us to donate and me I'm ready to go and cast my [laughter] vote because I don't have a voter's card.
How do you go about a voter's card for So uh so so the registration process and PVC collection is open again and I think there's a window for you to be able to get that.
There was an e-registration process going on initially. I don't know if you ever tried to do that e-registration.
But beyond that >> No, I didn't. Uh if you didn't I'm I'm sure that registration has started again. Just look up the INEC website, I'm sure you'll get information about You can Google up and check the INEC website, I'm sure you'll get information on how to register. Okay, I I used to live in Lagos. I have a house in Lagos. I have a small house >> Is that where you be voting from?
Yes, I'll be voting in Lagos if I come back home. I'll be voting in Lagos. Okay ma. Uh if Lagos is not [laughter] good I can't register back home. I'm from Imo State. I go to Imo State and vote. But uh we need to contribute.
So whatever way the right way to contribute to the right people [laughter] if it's monthly that is how we do it here or a lump sum at a time.
Mhm. I'm going to do that because [laughter] at my age I'm tired of living in foreign land.
>> Land. Oh, I can't imagine.
I I'm I'm I'm I'm [clears throat] and I got citizenship first before American citizen. Mhm. So, if they let us all come and vote, I will come back during the voting time. Me and my husband will call home. My children are free to come.
Me and my husband we have to call home then and vote. Mhm.
And we have to call from here till then.
So, whatever we want to do it because uh 2 years ago my husband was a civil servant. We have a I was a civil servant and my husband was a civil servant. We have a friend we live in in Ikoyi in Victoria Island. We have a Lebanese friend. So, they know we come to my brothers are in America. I come here often. We come here often. So, they ask us whether we have American uh bank accounts. We said yes, we have bank account with their Bank of America.
>> [laughter] >> So, they wanted us to give them the account so that they pay in money. And they will give us a a 15%. My husband said the money from where? They said it's from NNPC. My husband said you pay the money. They said they pay up to 100 million. My husband said this is NNPC money, yes.
That they supposed to be supplied something. My husband said am I this people crazy?
They even offer to trust 20% and then He said my husband said no.
So, the man always call us and say, "Hey, you'll become poor all your life."
So, a Lebanese man they teach you how to scam your own country, basically. Yes, man. They They are doing the business with people at NNPC because they share it with them.
So, my husband said you pay 100 million into my account, yes, 150 million. You give me 10 >> [laughter] >> as incentive from 10% and then he said the money belongs to your guys there, too. They'll get that My husband said this is Nigerian money. My husband told me that this country is finished. It was then we started making a move to run away.
So How many years ago was this?
How long ago was this?
This was in 1993.
92, 93, 94.
>> That is since 19 something, 90s kind of badness only happen, not even today.
Wow.
And the rest you take it there. And my husband was a civil servant I left before I left. My husband left.
And that money, those people they made a lot of money from people that have If you have account abroad, all they know is pay the money there you share with them.
So, this is what killed that country.
The man always Whenever he calls he say you people will be poor all your life. I said I'm not poor. We are living well. We are living well. We are not poor. It's you all that [laughter] has come to Nigeria with those people there that has come to Nigeria with your your guide.
We are going to die. He's a very good friend of us. So, this is what killed that country.
Who killed that country? So, we left.
We've been here suffering, living our life. And people are begging you for money every month. And please send this, send that. So, my dear, anywhere we can contribute for the election, the right way, if you know the right place to contribute. Well, not not a problem. So, you know that the primaries, everything about primaries will end this month end.
So, from the 1st of June it will be clearer who is contesting for what position. And then campaigns will start fully. And then people will begin to solicit for funds. Uh if you if you're on this platform, I would out of course let you let you know put out I'll bring some of them here and let them let them in.
I listen to pressure saving every time.
I told them I'm in my 70s. That's 70s.
It's my thank you.
Stop it. I love it.
Any way they can fix that country Mhm.
Uh and again, when they're fixing that country, when they fix it Uh please I will be uh let us know that all those our money, we will kill them. We will kill them and keep them in prison and you know, we we have to hold them until we get all the money out from them. Put it back into the Nigerian cover.
If we don't do that, that country will not be good. All of them Any person that Any Any senator that is riding driving Rolls-Royce and you know all what their what their salaries are.
Any bank manager that has 106 houses in London and we don't know how they make the money. We have to get all those things back to that country.
All right. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.
Thank you.
Just keep Just Just keep in touch with this platform.
Thank you.
Thank you, ma'am. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.
Thank you, ma'am. Thank you, ma'am.
>> [snorts] [clears throat] >> Well, so The team So a Lebanese person they teach our own indigenous citizen how to scam our NNPC collect money and chop our money. So that means people who are even profiting in Nigeria are even much more foreigners than Nigerians themselves.
You are not not being friend in friend and in-law not being not being hide money for about you.
I mean the hide money for about you where they find for Swiss for for Switzerland. He he pay money. He found him guilty. He pay refund some money to Nigeria. They also the same thing with the United States.
Not be them. Two of them.
Not be now that they leave the country.
Now they get one of the highest award.
Now they get that thing can now they build a quiet Atlantic. Now they get 45 years this thing for Snake Island. Now they they do your Lagos Calabar uh uh coastal highway and then they do by that great Sukuto highway.
These things are not advertised. They don't go through due process.
And so many so many other things and then and then by Echo Hotel that used to belong to Lagos Lagos State.
And so on and so forth. You can you can you can begin to name them.
You know. So and then Lebanese and Syrians they are influenced on good then. Lebanese they are they are there.
They know your country better than you.
And they are running your country.
So that will not be not be news. This one I just say tip of the iceberg. You know don't do what they are doing now.
And those way way they did give contracts without a foreign countries way they give contract without bidding and from China from Germany and many of them.
You know. So it's not those way they mine your solid minerals.
They are quite a lot a lot. The country has a serious problem. You know he's in he's in this particular government has led Nigeria to both political and economic in combos.
Nigeria >> [laughter] >> I miss that man in House of Rep. I wish he comes back >> [laughter] >> because I think we need a bit of that his grandma to reset some of our head for inside the No that grandma in combos not correct grandma. I know. So very quickly somebody did ask a question initially he did ask that what's my take on what was that question he asked? He said let me try to get a question correctly.
Precious what's your take on to what's your take to a non-performing platform performance and non-performing non-performing politician also. And I told him in mind. And now he said that means Nigeria still have upright Nigerians that they will still have upright Nigerians. But his question is why you be seeing this upright Nigerians from a particular section of the country? That's not true.
The upright Nigerians are not from a particular part of the country. We get upright, good, bad, and rotten Nigerians from From everywhere. aspect of Nigeria.
Yes, from everywhere.
Yes, from You don't have them.
And The native doctors, the native doctors, they don't steal too.
>> native doctors themselves. So, everybody. And that's why I find it uh I don't want to say repulsive, but it's I feel like it's it's sad that we make it look like character trait is something that is either ethnic, tribal, or or religious base, or even racial.
Character traits no get anything to do with religion. You no get anything to do with race. You no get anything to do with with with tribe. You no get anything to do with all of those things.
You get good, bad, and ugly characters for everywhere. Inclu- just like they say, "Oh, Nigerians they they do bad thing for abroad, though." Asians they do bad thing. Americans go go they do bad thing. Britons they do bad thing. We get them for everywhere. So, let's don't keep making it look like it's only one part of the country or one part of the world now get better people pass. It's unfortunate that maybe we they hear the news from one part of the country more than others. Yes, you may have more people of a particular character trait from one area than others. But no means say you no they In fact, that area where they hear am pass you be seeing am because of say you they hear am for the news pass. Not because you don't see have quite a number of them from the other area. I hope with this few points of mine I've been able to confuse you. I concur. I concur with everything you say. God no create anybody, any ethnic group with DNA of corruption. No, no, no. I agree. I agree with you. You know, your environment, your upbringing, your you know, all those things influence level of education, some the kind of education, not be just anyhow education.
Some people they go through school, but the school no pass through them.
So, you have you have many of them. You know, where they lead us. For me for me, I would like I like to take it beyond upbringing and character and all that. I I I like to take it because I feel that your family would have done what they did in bringing you.
And at the time you have become an adult, it is your responsibility to choose between good and bad what you want to be. So, I like people to take responsibility for their actions. If I go and steal There are things I may have done at my early teen early adult age, less than 25, thereabouts.
That even even 30 down was I feel say, "Okay, I still be adult to be say I dey try, I dey come up then my mind should see the shape." But anything where person where don't adult reach 30 do na him do am by himself.
Because whether your family teach you bad thing or not, at that time you have known good and bad. You have the right to tell yourself that ah, even though see this thing be like say dey normal from where I from come I come from oh.
But the morality in me, me where don't get knowledge of good of good and bad suppose don't know say that thing no dey good enough. So, I'm sorry you're not vexed I no agree with you for this one.
Please, let's leave it >> no me I no agree with you. Me I no me I no agree with you.
Me I no agree with you. Make I tell you why I no agree with you.
Make I make I tell you why I no agree with you. They no dey learn they no dey learn left hand when you are old.
You see, there are people where their conscience don't die because they have live in environment or situations where be say you don't kill their conscience.
So, they that thing where you dey say na the right thing for them, there there's nothing like right or wrong.
You know? So, environmental peer group environmental influence that if you if you live in a house where where where you know there's a blood you know they see for sometimes you go see a bloodline and well not bloodline you go see generations of you know father grandfather I mean father grandfather great great grandfather you go identify a particular character traits in that family.
Because that's they don't know any better. Here in America I can tell you.
You can go to a house you go see a house where papa and mama they they born for house.
That was what his mother did. That was what his grandmother did. They grew in that kind of environment and for them that's what they see. That's what they see. You may have one or two people where go say no no no no I don't agree.
So that's where I agree with you. But you if you saw a seed where you be say you go just they grow they grow they grow. Everybody where live there that's all they know.
I see it here. I see people where they use some kind of language where you know they refined. That's what they use in their house.
So before they go speak one sentence they don't they curse word they don't they use all kinds of words where no where where decent person no go use. And if you they challenge you say why you speaking they go challenge you.
Because they don't know any better.
That's that's what they hear every day.
That's what they hear.
You know so environment influence people. Environment can change you.
Environment can you know destroy you.
You know. So but if you have a good grounding at home your parents don't instill discipline you grow up. Bible say teach a child how is it?
Turn up your child the way he will go.
When he goes grows up he will not depart from it. He's not saying that he won't have one or two people where go depart. But there's that thing where they inside them like the prodigal son.
When he if he if he misbehave it that thing still there inside them. Something go trigger them. One day he go remember say this is not what my my my my my I was taught. Eh, no.
So, influences go fit make him deviate, move away. But, inside him there is that thing where they don't sow in him. One day you go trigger, you know. So, he he they influence he he they influence he they influence if you I I heard in a program where um this you know a platform where somebody Fulani they talk say they teach them from from when they they small make they hate Igbo say Igbo you can't trust them.
I I mean I'm I'm saying what you know, was said on the platform. That they teach them they cannot be trusted.
You know, don't mix up with them. They are evil and so on. So, then they grew up with that kind of notion.
But, as he come begin mix with with you know, go school, go university, come begin mix he come begin to question this thing where they teach him.
He come begin to say this thing no be because he don't see some people initially when he they deal with them he they fear he they use long spoon. But, he come they see say ah this thing where they where they teach them from when they they young is not true. But, it's not everybody >> Does that not bring us back to what I just said? That what I said >> Yes, but it's not everybody.
It is not everybody. When I was in Ibadan I had a a a a a a roommate.
He was born in Ibadan.
Primary school Ibadan. Secondary school Ibadan.
University Ibadan.
So, when we they when we they talk, I come say you don't go out you don't go Lagos he say no he never go. I say ah So, you never you never go outside Ibadan. Apart from Malaysia. That's where he has gone. I say so, you you have not gone to to the South East, you have not gone to you have not gone anywhere outside the this thing South West is the only place where you don't go now Malaysia because they come from Malaysia I say yes.
I say ah your world view go be very narrow now.
You don't know Nigeria.
This misconception the thing we begin the discussion I say that before they jump people if they send and go you could they go jump up.
I just relax.
So I was the one that took him to Lagos.
I said just go. How how much it be that time? You see one night or two night or something, you know. So we go we go go he come I live in Lagos. We go around I take him you see Lagos you see we just move around. Say come on.
You know because unless you travel unless you see other places your world view within narrow and some of these these things where they don't stereotypes and all these way and where they are when I borrow 1.25 billion dollars again and your finance minister don't come and count us Remember when he do been talk before we are where people they talk say follow follow land them for trouble. Yeah. Make I make I hear your take and then NBC don't bring out their timetable and their money their mountain they take for um expression of interest and nomination forms. So make I take Precious you know if you come to if you come to one of the things we to know we don't do we don't do very well with me I will give an A plus plus that tomorrow.
That tomorrow.
Calm down. And see I was actually I was expecting something good from you honestly. No that's a good thing now. I got to wait until I did me like this now you just get me I was I was actually going to be happy that oh you know you don't you don't hear president say do well.
That's what I'm saying now the president say he know how to borrow. The second world war he know how to do my tax. I want to get B plus plus.
Those two things anybody will go deny say president. So if you want mark that place, you get A for there. All the other ones you get F 9 F 9 F 9.
Or F 10 according to him. So, the the the the point is all the ones where you don't borrow borrow borrow which you take and they do. If you borrow money, take am plow am into something where good generate um investment so that you would be able to pay. It be like somebody go borrow money, take am go marry.
How you going to pay back? He that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth a You no know say when when he dey single, you no fit get money where you go take marry.
He come date two.
He come go borrow money. How you go pay am back? When if he get money, why he go borrow?
So, he no get money when he dey dey live alone. Now, he don't go get he don't go get two. One na trouble. He come bring another one come join am. And he borrow money to marry. How you go pay?
That's what Nigeria is doing.
Because the borrowing where they do na for generations where they come.
They go begin pay base say for what you where they no know.
You borrow money to finance your budget.
Capital expenditure.
All the capital expenditure where we the the the profile for 2023, they never finance am expenditure profile. They never finance am up to even 60%. 2024, 2025, 2026.
No be talk we dey talk like that.
Tomorrow night go dey run about to Paris Club make them say they go dey give you debt forgiveness and so on and so forth.
You go begin beg. You go begin beg them.
Person where they borrow. Precious, if you borrow money from somebody, when you see the person you go put face for ground dey shame. Because na they control you.
So so this a particular amount and the second largest amount we don't dey borrow in Yes. 1.5 and the 1.6 a What say one carry enter?
Um is it necessary at this point?
I don't know. Election they come so there's always something where they take and do. And then you know say this medical tourism we know Baba they sick now. We have to put him. The money the money where they get there. All right, take note of that one. The money where he take the treating say it's too much and he will not get money again. So he borrow part of it to go take and make you know Baba has to look good. Make he make he All right, so so secondly you don't see you don't hear what he say that ZLP man talk. What do you think about what he talk? The revelation when he make. Make I quickly take this call I'll get back to you. Hello, good evening and welcome.
Precious >> Ma Good evening. Good evening, Ma.
Welcome.
>> How are you? I'm fine, thank you. I trust you're doing okay too yourself.
>> watch I want I want to watch something on I don't know whether you've watched it on News Central. Mhm.
with Zachary Do you see B?
>> and one guy Yeah, I think they're just doing it. I'm watching it on YouTube anyway. I don't know whether it's it's showing. But there's this analyst that's done uh like a survey Mhm.
done survey on on on on electorate Mhm. you know and the survey he did uh they had uh 67% of people uh for B, right? Mhm. 18% for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and then the rest of them.
But the bad news is that the 67% do not all have PVCs. They can't vote.
So the 18% the 18% for Tinubu all of them get PVC?
Uh I think he said 7% have PVC.
7% out of the 18% get PVC? Yes.
[clears throat] Then how many percent from the 67% get PVC?
He said about less than Tinubu.
Do you understand it?
Okay.
>> want B2B 67% of the polls. After they did the polls, then I asked them, you know, do you have PVCs?
And hey, out of the 18% of ballots Tinubu self Do you understand? Mhm. that that don't have PVCs, some of them were reluctant to vote for him.
They would rather not vote. They won't come out. That is the people that are for Tinubu.
Yes. They won't come out.
The disadvantage for Obi is that that 67% not all of them have PVC. And so, the point I'm saying is that if if out of the 18% for Tinubu and you have a number of them, let's say out of that entire 18% at least just 15% now you know get PVCs and Obi out of the 67% there is no way at least 20% of the people for Obi will not have PVCs. Yeah.
Yeah, that's what I said. It's not possible now. Out of 67% and You're talking back at him and that's the interest lack of interest that he's that you're talking to. Yeah, I'm sure I'm sure they have since they are Obi supporters, I'm sure they have a lot of ground work to do. And it's a lot of work, but you know that you know the work has not started yet because we don't even know what's going to play out yet. It is after the it is after the end of this month that will and you know, the pictures will be a lot more clearer.
So, let me just wait maybe month first end.
And today daily mom was on What's that one? With Charles Ore gone.
Uh All right. And he arrived. He He was just talking gibberish. He He was just talking rubbish. I saw that. I didn't want to talk about it. He He's money.
Money. Because if you have any No, but he doesn't even have any justification against Peter Obi because he had also He had also once said it in his own in a podcast with his own mouth that the reason why he would never contest for election again is because the people whom you'll be contesting against have stolen the country dry. And they will be willing to bring out dollars in any amount to for primaries.
So, he can never outnumber them. So, it's not even something I beg. That one will not be what we will be worrying our head with. Did you see Did you see APC today? The way they were putting money in every loophole, giving out.
>> I saw that. I saw that. Yes, ma'am.
I saw that.
I saw that.
I'm watching both. Watching you and I'm watching them too. Thank you. God bless you. Thank you. Thank you so much. I appreciate you, ma'am. Thank you. Well, it is what it is. See, I wanted to say something. Make Chikezie talk so that I no go stay here past 1:00. People go come and kill me and die.
>> [laughter] >> I have 12 minutes to go. So, Chikezie, you're welcome. Go ahead. See, what you were going to say something about the other issues.
Yes, quickly.
Let me just react to what Madam just said. You know, if you look at the past the 2023 election, I think about 20 something, less than 30 million voted.
And uh, we were told that about 19 million were registered. About 96 million now were getting registered.
>> Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, okay. So, it means that you had about 70 million who didn't vote. Uh-uh.
Me, I monitored that particular election. It was not just who didn't vote. First of all, there was no voter apathy last time. It was voter suppression that happened in last election. Last election was one election like it was almost like the 2015 election where people come out en masse. People come out with their But you see that thing that happened with suppression and all that. And then a lot of people came out and could not vote.
And they went back home. And they went back home. You remember it rained that day. So, all of those factors will affect the election. But in terms of voter awareness, it was even the election with the most voter awareness.
Yes.
>> So, so, so, so, either way, it means that we lost about 70 70 million people.
>> Oh, yes, we did. All of that 70 million.
All of that 70 million. Yes. So, so, and that would have made a difference, you know, either way, wherever they those 70 million. So, I think what she's trying to say is that we have we have a lot of work to do to target those people who don't vote. And there that number would only increase because there's been since 2023 there's been more voting so people don't die. But there's some So, so, you maybe it would have moved up to maybe 100 million or or so. So, there's a need for sensitization. There's a need for people to actually pick up their voter's cards. Because you remember that there were a lot of them that were thrown that they showed us that were thrown in the uh, in the drain.
Yeah. So, so, there's a need for political parties, you know, to do campaign, even INEC and so on and NGOs to create, you know, go out there and do an awareness. If you want a change or if you want the government to stay, pick up your um, your voter's card. Register, you know, when the door opens. And make sure you vote, you know, so there's a lot of work to be done. But back to your question, what was it you were asking me?
ZLP registration >> Yes. Yes, you know, I I listened to I listened to Wanyanyamwi, you know, the chairman of of ZLP.
You heard the governor >> And about the registration, isn't it? Is that what you're talking about? The attempt to deregister >> case. Now, we hear the attorney general carry them go court now. Yes. When the governor is telling you He indicted He indicted actually helps when he actually helps him come into office. Yes, he indicted the attorney general.
Because he said that, you know, ZLP has chairman in local government, he has, you know, counselors in the local government, you know, who contested the election and won. So, what is the basis for saying that you're going to deregister a party that has, you know, it doesn't have senators yet, it doesn't have a members of House of Reps or governors, you know, and so on and so forth, but it does have, you know, elected people in local governments. And the number that he realized was quite high. You know, so why do you want to deregister? And I can tell you the reason why.
You know, it was thought that Toby was going to move to ZLP.
It was also thought or every party that they envisaged that are likely because ZLP actually opened its doors to, you know, quite a lot of people.
So, any party that they felt >> that claims that they played a a huge role in bringing Toby to government, did you not hear what he said? Yes.
>> party that helped Toby for governor.
Huh?
No, [clears throat] no, no, no, you see, every That's why I'm telling you now, there are options open. There are options that I know parties these small small parties throw their doors open now. They won't catch a big fish now.
They know what will happen if they get, you know, anybody as big as Toby, you know, I mean so what you did in labor you know transform labor now I don't come out labor don't acknowledge now say they obese living labor you know cause was a disaster to them they said it you know in their release recently.
You know so >> [clears throat] >> No if you look at those who they buy from now mainly those who are from Abia.
They are mainly because they are mainly where those they come from Abia you will see them senators they are gravitating you know they are going back you know to to LP you know and to run because if for them is sure with LP you know and then but there were those who were refused there was this guy Who is senator That was in LP I wrote down his name I think I left it somewhere in the office it was in LP and then crossed over to APC And then when they do this primaries they lost he came back to labor I [clears throat] mean he you know he now moved to he ran to NDC They tell him say there's no chance no space no day I don't know where I don't know you know space no day because they want to use the same Obi magic to many of them like that they don't tell them say no You can't be once bitten twice shy So they are now party less that that man now eventually move back to APC You know and No no he not get anything now he not get anything now he they float now he shoot himself So that's what is happening You must win the same thing you must win go APC in fact I think I heard I heard that he didn't get a you know you know get in seat.
Uh-huh, so he can't go back to if you go to NDC they go take broom drive and come out. All of them, you know, so and the door don't close.
So all of them now now those ones now they go cause trouble for APC. You see when people they do they buy the thing I wave with it them. They don't they know tomorrow. They didn't anticipate that this this thing where they they do say they go pay the cost.
Because what APC had done be say even before primaries they don't fill all those seats for you. In fact, they don't even declare result.
So they just leave them. They need their money.
Yes, and that's what they want to do.
Yes, that's what they want to do at the national level.
So they don't You know, who go be governor who go be All right.
You know you know see Baba when he tell us.
Uh-huh, you know see Baba when he tell all people to say you do you want do you tell all those people do you want me to give you a governor? They say yes. They say okay. And when it happen it it tell them say I promise you and I give it to you.
Nigerians they look. Nobody say anything.
So that's the kind of a leg but if Nigerians register and they come out to vote overwhelmingly that is those who believe say they need change.
How many they go cancel?
How many you you go cancel tire now?
Um joining the opposition to fight the party just like I'm not passing been talk.
There are some of them go get go get to make a spirit. You will say since I no get am nobody get am.
Make everything scatter. Make everybody lose. There are people like you know people do like that. Particularly if then they rub them for your eye. Give me my money you say no.
You can't beat a child now you say make you no cry.
So there are people who will say you carry my money. I work for this party.
>> [clears throat] >> I will cry. Uh-huh. See my don't see some of the way they cry.
That guy where they cry in public not be small thing you know.
You I walk walk walk walk walk. I come pay.
You come take the thing give another person.
I come they talk like for like the like that's what waiting we make nothing go go be the cause of this trouble now even though even though he is he is second name now Judas.
Because he say he say the thing there in body.
Because they say you don't buy say the thing where they make you become the smell different body.
You know he good. Uh-huh. The way they make him smell now he there for him body.
So if you bath him bath him bath him you go see the smell because the thing there inside him body. So nothing the thing there in body. before.
But the thing where they do am no good.
And I now the kind thing where they cause this kind of a thing because there are people where you go do they go say okay. I go they become spoiled they go stay there like a leech.
They go be suck your blood suck your blood they there.
All right. Let me let me bring Chikezie in. I beg my time don't almost finish.
Chikezie good evening and welcome. Thank you for joining us.
Chikezie are you there? Or you just want to be a spectator tonight? Yes sir. My sister I'm here.
>> Yeah go ahead. Thank you. Welcome.
>> [laughter] >> Go ahead please.
>> much. Yeah.
Um let me start from uh the borrowing of a thing. You see?
The the problem like uh uh people have said is not about borrowing. It's a question of what are you using the money to do?
Right? There's nothing that we are seeing that this man is using this money to achieve in Nigeria. Right?
Other than that they are preparing for election, right? Because like I said yesterday or the or the first I can't remember the day.
If you remove subsidy, we don't know the amount that is coming in from the removal of subsidy.
Then we cannot just oppose that with what we are borrowing. We now know, okay, you are doing well or you're not doing well. But there's no accountability. So, as far as I'm concerned, the borrowing is just a calculated attempt to run Nigeria dry.
Right? And thank God that um uh his finance minister is saying the same thing. Maybe he will be sacked tomorrow.
Who knows?
Um And again, I I just want folks to understand. You see?
All these gaslighting about uh you know, uh they conducted a poll and the people that have Peter Obi, they don't have PVC as You see? My sister, all these things are election campaign strategy. Those those are the things people are doing. Right?
They can decide to tell you that okay, the people that we are Did they give us a live entry of the course to to actually know the percentage of people that are not with PVC that they called, right? For Peter Obi versus Atiku versus Tinubu, right? It's a It's anything that they write out You know, they give us that's what we what we take, right? But I don't believe that. You know why I don't believe that? Now, let me give you an example. The last election, remember what happened?
Remember, they started by saying it's just five people or two people that are tweeting. You know, these are online people. They don't vote. They don't do this.
My sister, what happened that they had to turn off the IReF?
Upon all the intimidation that people should not come out, but the the uh number of people that came out overwhelmed them so much that they had they don't have any option. The intimidation cannot work. They have to talk switch off the IReF and then write their result the way they do. So, and I told you something uh the other day in this on this platform. I said, "See, they are not afraid of article or any other person that can do money politics because they can do it better. They are only afraid of the people that will do the legwork.
And you know what the legwork will translate into? It will translate into bringing people out to vote. And you know that when enough people come out to vote, rigging will be very, very difficult to do. Because if you if enough people you let say 60% if Peter Obi and they are they are able to galvanize people and let's say 50% of the registered voters came out to vote, my sister, they cannot they cannot rig it, oh. They they can only rig it when there is voter apathy.
And that is that is true. Right? That is what they are afraid of. They're not afraid of Peter Obi because he has money or because he has a you know, they are afraid of him because he is going to do the legwork and bring out people to come and vote.
Just check out what happened in 2023.
You know how people were excited that now is the time to go and change Nigeria. That's exactly what happened.
So, yeah, I would I think that's what I have to say on that.
Why don't you tell me now? You don't know what you're talking about.
Yeah, I I I I agree. You know, it's the voter turnout. But again, part of the problem where you get goes goes to come from your own body. For instance, take what they don't do to your brother, your governor, I seen.
You know, from what we hear, uh he's not a happy man.
We don't have the details of what happened. In fact, there was one this thing, but I I don't think it's true that he has defected, but I I didn't see it reported anywhere else, you know, to NDC.
But, if they leave him if they screen him out and they not give him opportunity, you can guess what the governor is going to do because he is going to be the governor when election is going to to hold.
And whether you like it or not, >> the federal might.
But, he has the state might.
What do you want to do with the state might?
Wike cannot be in Abuja and be in River State at the same time.
Sorry, sorry to interrupt you. I I It's a federal It's a federal You are saying Wike is in Abuja. Have you forgotten so soon that Amaechi was in Abuja when Wike was there?
And what did Amaechi do with the federal might?
Right? Is the the state is except if if Fubara does not know the kind of power he wields and the kind of and the kind of you know wealth that the state also, you know, have in his in his hand.
That's the only way that they can defeat him.
But, he can cause a greater damage to them. Yes. That's the reason I'm saying what I'm saying is that the Fubara is not even playing his card. I hate to talk about River State politics. You know how painful it is for me to talk about it.
Now, Wike has been busy empowering Do you know why people are rooting for Wike in River State? I know people who are Fubara's own brothers, blood relatives, who worked for Fubara to get into power, who supported him at the initial stage, who are now working for Wike. You know why?
He's not even created empowerment. Okay, let me create this thing for these people. No work, no nothing. Wike got into power.
Before you leave office, he make sure say he employ a lot of people for civil service.
Wike is busy empowering his people.
Fubara is just there. So, how people go use fight for you when you be say hunger they kill them for this administration?
Precious, make I ask you one question. I dey come. And then, especially this thing people then wey they do this thing. with them. They want to say let's react. And you go say no, let's just leave it. Let's leave it. He's not giving He's not talking to the media.
He's not allowing his people to talk to the media.
How do you think he win it? And Wiki is on the media every day.
Oh, and Precious, I want to ask you one question.
So you think say Rivers State people go sit down after I made you equally don't rule.
Back to back, you have another equally man.
And then um each other man come. You only rule for 4 years. In fact, that 4 years no complete because then they send them away make you go leave for for some time bring us back.
>> they want to come bring another equally.
And now they want to bring back equally.
Rivers State people go stay they look.
Now all of them work out come. Now up to them. My tribe for Rivers State now minority of the minority. So we know they fit cook up our mouth talk safe.
Should be that's one that can my brother. He did there and he did follow this support support Wiki. So I don't even want to talk about it. Please, I beg. I don't have strength in Rivers State politics. Just like Nigeria, when Rivers people are ready and if they are ready, they will stand up to say they will not take that [ __ ] And what makes you think You know they hear the number of people that say buy buy phone for ADC.
Six governors. You don't know the people who go buy for NDC. You don't know people who go buy for other parties.
See, as it stands there, Rivers State can They have the choice to vote an unknown party person.
Then allow that rubbish happen. It is up to them what they want.
Nobody say must be APC we go win. I see no in deliberately use less of PDP so that PDP no go fit deliver able for the election.
Which area be make we do validation make I do good area. I don't really like talk say I'm protecting my mental health from Nigeria from Rivers State politics. You people will not leave me alone. It's very unfortunate. That in the next like I said in the next 1 2 weeks, we will see what is going to happen because nobody is certain of what is going to happen. What what thing go happen to ADC? What thing go happen to NDC? What thing go happen to all uh PDP you know and even APC. So, the thing is fluid. We don't we don't know. So, we just we just wait and see you know how things turn out.
So, as long as they no go bring one thing we go make them disqualify NDC from the election. Then, any other drama we play out we will reach the battlefield no go battle am out. And in terms of um what do you call it now? In terms of uh campaign, the A NDC get a lot to do for the campaign. A lot. A lot of sensitization, desensitization, orientation, they get a lot to do. A lot of work now they get to do. All of them.
All of them where they support the NDC where they abroad on that go bring say on that get a lot of work to do. I don't tell them I say on that get a mandate to make sure say all on our villages each of on our abroad if everybody where they diaspora take their village for head.
There is no way your village on that no reach up to three where they US. On that three four of on that come out of say this village you go deliver the village.
Ah ah. They no born that APC money well.
Precious, you guys have a lot of work to do. We they try our best but you see if you they do the way they do do do way they do medicine for somebody way they craze. You go also think whether the person way they do the medicine for whether they go drink am.
You know that's that's that's the second arm. If you they try to kill somebody way they mad you how you know say the the medicine way they say the person go drink am.
If you no drink am all the thing way you don't do is a wasted effort.
All [clears throat] right then. Thank you Tiwa Savage. Make I just make make make I make I protect my mental health.
>> [laughter] >> Thank you Nigerians. I appreciate Thank Nigerians. I appreciate you you. I appreciate you. Please click on the like button. I beg now. No go like. Share this post. No go continue to speak for the growth and development of our nation. I was going to have Barrister Mankie to join us tomorrow, but unfortunately, um he's under the weather and he may be unable to join us. But however, we will see as we go take random tomorrow. I love you guys and appreciate you.
