He Lived in Australia for 15 Years... Then He Moved Back to Venezuela 🇻🇪

[00:00:04]welcome to Juan Griego Margarita Island guys today we're having a bit of a family day out I'm here with a very good friend of mine an interesting character John Aussie John they call him how are you guys now John I wanna tell you about he's a very interesting character and a good a good friend of mine recent friend of mine John is a Venezuelan that is as Aussie as they come pretty much he lived in Australia for 15 years but much like ourselves made the decision to leave Australia uh to come and live a happier life here in Venezuela so right now I'm just gonna ask him about his experience and what it's like for him and what it was like for him to come over and why he came over and then we're gonna have a look around quangreggo here guys on Margarita Island one of the major populations and just check out the vibes for the day tell me brother well I'm Venezuelan I live for 15 years in Australia I love the culture I love the people nothing wrong with Australia just the the rules maybe a little bit but the way that I feel the last year's day eh was clearly the same the same eh eh script that uh they destroyed our country yeah our country was yeah our country was uh wealthy yup like Australia yup and very successful but uh so you you weren't happy with what you could see on the horizon yeah well more or less yeah 15 years ago yup eh I decide to go to leave my country because the same things that are are happening there that's all you saw you notice the pattern yeah yeah for me was a red flag seeing eh no much job eh I'm an architect and always in Australia I work as a bin manager eh electrical draughtsman and structural draughtsman architectural draughtsman but uh here I'm a registered architect and then eh the latest the the just recently well it happened just now I decided to come up to Venezuela again in November last year and then it happened what happened we can't say much yeah yeah yeah in January yeah oh yeah the removal yeah yeah yeah well everybody knows what happened here on January 3rd guys so there's a big change in Venezuela yeah and then now everyone wants to come over here yeah that's right yeah it's the last window to invest here yeah so I think I think we might have made a good move by coming here now a lot of people might think that we're crazy you might think that John's crazy couple walk on top look a lot of people sort of question why I want to come to Venezuela some people thought I was nuts some people gave me their blessing and said good on me obviously it's different for me being an Aussie now but John's Venezuelan so he would have had that part of him that was always calling him home like this this is his land so I understand why he's moved back and as he mentioned much like myself and a lot of other Australians at the moment feeling a bit frustrated a bit disenfranchised with what we're seeing in Australia and I'm a bit worried about what's on the horizon for Australia and the prosperity but look fortunately we're both here now so we're both here he's more or less Aussie OK actually even my mum didn't want to me to come what to come back yeah really yeah yeah yeah because uh when when you are here and you don't know what's going on yeah you could you say to to to your friend family why are you why do you want to come over here if we are still struggling and this and that yeah yeah wanna jump on the camera it's very different culture from Australia yeah I know when I'm in Australia I point people hide they duck away from the camera here they wanna jump on you can see here look at this kids lined up ready to jump on camera sorry you were saying my man what were you saying okay well well we're where we are I don't even know well anyway the thing that I is a I'm a part of I feel like a sort of part of being a like a Aussie because I yeah it obviously yeah but um definitely if um if someone because I I I was there just recently and then people are struggling yeah to find to find food to find a job yeah to put the the the basic things in the table yeah that's right we live the same thing 30 years ago here in Venezuela here yeah we started I I was working here as an architect and then suddenly we start to eh not much food not much eh eh places to live yup eh eh a a the the insecurity came yeah so like I said you recognize it's the same yeah yeah yeah yeah so there we are look interesting now anyway look guys that's that's our opinions that's why we're doing living here but look as you guys know my channel is not a political channel we're not gonna get it all into it today we're here to check out the vibes and check out the people like this funny character um so there's an introduction to my man John right now I'm lucky so he's my guide here Margarita he's a he's a Margarita local now but you guys are very welcome yeah so he's moved from Australia he's come back to Venezuela and decided to move himself to Margarita where he's hoping to um buy some land and develop uh his own business of of sorts he's still looking at what his different options are right now there are options especially as you guys would know with the news that happened on January the third things have been Australia gonna change dramatically and probably rapidly so there's gonna be a lot of opportunity towards your friends friends and family is the best place to to stay for the next 15 years yeah it's a good good investment opportunity here yeah place in yeah in the the whole land well that's another thing as well Venezuela is it safe yeah it's super safe now in the in the in the in the bus everywhere you go yeah people have even two phones yeah when 15 years ago was super difficult yeah that's right everyone can just told your thing haha so yeah you guys have heard it from me plenty of times I've told you that Venezuela is safe I still get people asking me so you've just heard of you've just heard it from from John you guys you're good are you speak English huh qué dicen ustedes qué dicen qué dicen what qué VA allá VA allá no hables güey ah so all Venezuela Venezuela bye all the all the kid all the kids are running out and curious about everyone's very curious to see what we're doing or what we're talking about but very friendly people here as Jonas saying super safe guys anyway we're here I wanted to show you guys the vibes what it's like look at all the people out socializing mixing enjoying life having a great afternoon Saludo to the vino yeah so a really cool and happy place to be here guys as you can see so look you can see the appeal you can see why we want to come here this is so much joy and happiness and life here man here I don't know for me I feel like here I'm alive I'm really living oh yeah yeah definitely definitely I feel it's different I feel alive here not much stress no the life is yeah there's no rush rush rush exactly living in Australia make money make money make money it's like a big competition yeah taxes taxes yeah some of these people have very little but look how happy they all are they're all super happy smiling waving friendly people the Bikey Boys here they've been they've been like all these boys they don't smile much but everyone else very friendly smiling asking questions John's your fans and followers now as well and it's really pretty guys check it out look how beautiful it is here so we're gonna walk along the the the walk along the beach front here guys have a look down the pier as John said I yeah just give you guys a feel of what it's like here on Margaret Island in one Gregor for this beautiful afternoon thank you thank you so we just we want to touch on another theme which is rules and freedom now a lot of people like to say in in not in Australia but in western countries that here in Venezuela it's not free um look at the girls here poses um natural natural natural beauty Queens here look at them they're all little Misses Um so when we're just talking about rules and regulations and John was just mentioning about how like even like here you'll see there's no fence there's no one stopping you from jumping off yeah there's no police gonna tell you what to do and even when it comes to like fishing John was mentioning like there's no one that's gonna come and check the size of your fish and make sure you put it back if it's not the right age or right size no license to fish yeah our a fishing license which you have to pay for in Australia yeah in Australia it's 2:50 yeah now I what I can't understand is how can how can you charge someone how can you charge someone for a license for something that is a god given right which is the fish in the sea like I can't understand that it's crazy here you wanna fish if you've got the line if you've got a hook come fish no one's gonna stop you check out the boat here John was telling me so you're saying like a boat like this size no no smaller there's small ones smaller boat cost you three grand so ones like these ones no like those ah the launcher ah the pineto okay two grands so the the the fishing boat ones guys if you can see over there if the GoPro picks it up I'm gonna cost about two or three grand I'm interested to know how much one of these will cost ah yeah probably 20 20 grand 2040 20 40 grand yeah that's 20 40 grand I don't have as yet guys that's why I need you all to subscribe and like my videos so we can buy a boat we can get a boat then I'll make some cool videos for you guys so anyway we'll come up to the end of the pier here as you can see guys beautiful spot very nice place man yes nice to come and check out nice breeze so right now our our wives and and kids are walking around somewhere enjoying and um we're just here having a walk and filming and talk with John getting to show me around talk to the locals etcetera we got some boys here having a having a drink here some fisherman here boys Nada nada nada no hay nada whisky ah ja here I've got Ethan's over here playing as all alright so a bit of a family day out today guys now let's take a look down here walk down by the beach front and then I've come on the other side it should be on the other side it says I love Juan Griego but anyway let's go down beachside have a bit of a look guys wow it's a really pretty place beautiful afternoon so yeah interesting to to meet John another more or less Aussie well Venezuela but yeah as I said you know lived in Australia for like 15 years that's a long time but um much like me you know just thought you'd have a happier better more fulfilled life here in Venezuela so I eventually made the move packed up and and came back to us came back to Venezuela now he doesn't have a Venezuelan wife but he has but she's a Latina he's married to a Mexican um lady and they've also a little boy also born in Australia much like my son and now living happily here in Venezuela so interesting and nice of him to bring me down to such a pretty place to have a look around guys so as you can see look stretches so down here sort of diss out the beach ends and it heads up there plenty more to see down here family still down here we'll swing back around have a bit of a look keep checking out the vibes I'm enjoying having a chat with John about all things you know Australia to Venezuela I think soon we're gonna stop by and have a pizza and stuff he mentioned we might even walk up to that fort up there it looks like a fair way though so I'm not too sure about that but anyway look it's a nice afternoon I'm glad to bring you guys along with me so let's continue on checking out Juan Griego there she is guys pretty cool so the guys are over here just organising to order pizza and I just wanna point out that one thing I noticed you can see your brother over here as well there are a lot of people ha ha drinking here this afternoon there's a lot of people just cruising around with the bottle um which you think it give it like a dangerous vibe but it's it's perfectly safe look you've got police over here as well so there's a little police truck set up over there um but yeah there are there is a lot of fair bit of drinking going on here and you think it was an event or something but this I think it's just a general Sunday afternoon here guys it's how things are you know so pretty cool vibe to check out though I like it man I like it it's got it's got life you know and it's a pretty place to see a lot of people around that's for sure check it out man you people dancing around the beach this is cool right this is cool look at that this is Barranquilla alright before I get too lost we better go over and let the fam know where I am but yeah I think this is gonna be some good content for you guys good to check out so guys I just one thing while we're here enjoying ourselves and have a look around and you can see how beautiful it is now at sundown John John is actually telling John's an architect and he's got big plans uh that he wants to implement here in in Venezuela in Margarita and I'll just teach him a few ins and outs of how social media can help with his ideas so he's actually already got a YouTube channel set up that I'm gonna leave a link to in in the description of this video so I want you to go and have a look there and and support John uh starting off his his new life and his new journey here in Venezuela so he's gonna he's gonna start heading towards the direction that you're gonna see he's got a few plans in the works that I think are really gonna be some really good things that up so yeah just interesting go and have a look and helping out a good man who's gonna do good things here on the island guys anyway guys as you can see now Sun's going down we just ordered a pizza we're gonna have a nice pizza here by the water enjoy a pizza little family afternoon out so nice place to be pretty cool place favourite of action here not gonna lie like I said the few few people on the drink and stuff bit of a party zone um you saw the guys dancing and stuff down there they still are we'll have a pizza and I will cruise past there again before we head off I'll just show you the vibes so but it's still cool place to come and have a look around guys Lesa Le Torfin Torfin Torfin so guys that's it that's a wrap for us it was a nice afternoon a nice walk along the I think it's a Malacca on the beach right here but as you can see the party still goes on John was telling me these guys man they've been here like drinking since like 10 o'clock in the morning um and the party just goes on all night so that's that's the vibes down here at the beach run at 1 Gregor so you can see here the boys here still dancing around still vibing I know it's a full on party down here but it's like family friendly as well you know it's crazy as you can see look come over here they're mixing drinks etcetera I think we've got strawberries and cream over here guys from the look of it and pinchers so a little meat on a stick guys you can buy here if you're hungry you can come and grab something to eat so yeah a whole a whole say it really lovely place so yeah very friendly but you see most of them look like they they've been on the drink all day I know here as well as all of us so yeah I don't know if this is a restaurant or a bar whatever it looks like a restaurant but food drinks everything okay Sunset Boulevard here it's like a little 8 8 street down here guys I know this girl check is all cool music bummer music and look at that guys if you can see over there they've got a gilly you can smoke a gilly out here as well guys and a DJ of course of course you can have a DJ big size what a vibe man how cool very different from Australia I tell you wow I still kids out in the
