[00:00:37]I'm a little bit late tonight. It's been a day, you guys. I have had this makeup on since 7 in the morning. If you were to inspect me close up, you would tell.

[00:00:48]But I actually need to make a video on how to like take your makeup from day to night because I impressed myself. I used creams on top of un retouched makeup, repowdered, sprayed, smoked up the eye.

[00:01:04]I had to adjust a lash. It's just been like one of those days where we are pre-launch, so I was just like, "Go, go, go, move, move, move." And the makeup was falling apart. But I'm like looking in the monitor right now and I'm like, I actually really like this makeup. Like, this actually looks okay. You cannot even really tell, you know? Thank you so much.

The video with every detail as far as what I am launching, what I've been up to like the full meal deal is going to be on Monday. I know that in the comment section of my Ulta haul video that I posted on this past Monday, the comment section for the first time in a long time kind of got like a tiny bit spicy. I'm okay with it. I understand. I feel like when I came on live last Friday, I sat down and I was just like, I'm so excited. I like you know when you want to give someone a gift but it's not time and you're like let me show you the corner of it or let me show you like a little bit of it because there is a plan and a methodology to launching successfully as far as getting everything set up. You can't let it out of the bag too early.

[00:04:36]You know what I'm saying? And we already had a picked out launch time date everything when it comes to when the website would be ready, fulfillment would be ready to go. All the product is ready to ship. So, there's no hiccups.

[00:04:48]But, of course, I got the product in my hands. And I'm like, "You guys, look at the box. Look at the box." And I was sharing with you all that I was going to be sharing with everyone that hangs out with me in my normal videos that there was a big announcement. You don't want to miss it. You don't want to miss the opportunity to be on the actual notification email list. So, that was my I don't want to say it was my bad. It was just me being a little bit over excited sharing last Friday. Please don't be mad with me, you guys.

[00:06:03]But now you guys know that the brand name, which I didn't reveal on Friday, is Unfair Advantage. And I love the brand name. so much. It is so fitting with just like everything that has gone on in the past five years for me. Like half a decade of really climbing up a hill and not giving up and it just the name means so much to me. I don't know that I'm going to show this now. You're telling me to show things >> that you can show.

[00:07:01]I like anticipation. I know you guys are saying, "Hey, like we need time. We need time to know the product." This is the kind of product that you're going to know right away if it is for you or it is not for you. So you will have Monday to chew on it. Tuesday you will have an opportunity to purchase. And I don't want to do a big drawn out thing. I think when it comes to launching a successful brand with the speed of how things move, especially on short form, which we're all leaned into, you know, whether you're on Instagram or Tik Tok, things move rapidly, way more rapidly than they did in the past. So speaking purely from a business voice, I feel that it's important to not give too much time as far as information than getting that information kind of lost in the back of everybody's minds when they have so much time in between the information and the actual ability to purchase. I think that can harm a brand. So I like a little suspense. I like a little dazzle.

[00:07:58]I like a nice buildup. And that's what I'm choosing to do. It's kind of what I've always done. It's just my way of doing things. Like I think that you know what you like right away. I feel like if you like vibe with the kind of products that I've created in the past, you know that I only create top tier best of class, like best products. If you have tried anything that I've launched and you've loved it, you know that I really go above and beyond to make sure that every detail of everything I've ever purchased is correct. Um, so if you like what I do, then you're going to love this. you're really really going to love it. Uh, and if it's the kind of thing that you're into, then you're likely going to want to purchase it. So, I didn't want there to be too much space, if that makes sense, because then you're like got too much noise and you forget about it and you might forget about the launch altogether. And who wants someone just like talking about something that you can't buy every single day of the week, you know? I just I just felt the timing doing it this way was correct. If that upsets you, I can't really change that. It just is what it is. It is what it is.

[00:09:08]Skincare to be honest. So many of you guys are guessing skincare. You're guessing jewelry. You're guessing clothing. You have so many different guesses. People were saying fragrance.

[00:09:19]Um, which I almost did fragrance way back when, so that was a pretty good guess, but it is not fragrance. I'm really, really having fun with this. And I am so in my DMs right now. So, if you're messaging me, you're likely going to get a response. And it's just been nice to talk with everyone and see like the excitement. So, that's been great.

[00:09:59]And I will share with you guys if I could do makeup, I would. And I've thought long and hard about whether to blast this out to my audience everywhere on the internet or not. But the reality with makeup is I had a business partner in Totti Beauty. It was not just mine.

[00:10:18]So when that business went away, there are like different negotiations of what you can and can't do in the future when you dissolve a brand that was a very successful brand. Uh, and the reality is, and I'm like, do I say this or not? Do you guys want the tea? Hype me up. I'll give you the tea. My heart just started racing.

[00:10:47]It's not a blendful.

[00:10:54]Okay, you guys are just still guessing. One person wants the tea. Okay, now you guys are like the time lag is there. I'm like I guess no one wants to hear about it.

[00:11:09]But um so with Totti Beauty, one of the parting uh agreements was that I would never be able to create color cosmetics again unless I've forked over $9 million. I don't have that kind of money. And I don't think most people have that kind of money. I wish I did.

[00:11:29]And it has been, if you can imagine, just utterly heartbreaking to watch other people create something that I really was good at that I would like to create, but there was just no other way out. So, if there's a day that I win the lottery, if um if I ever am in a position to like, would I do it? Yes. Like, I want to create makeup again. Like, I definitely do. But the timing with everything that I was going through legally with one business partner and then Totty Beauty dissolving was just I was not in a good spot. I was not in a good negotiating spot and it is what it is. So there you have it. So when everyone is like, "We want your palette back." I'm like, "Guess what? I do too. I do too. I really do too." Um, but I'm going to pick myself up. I'm going to figure things out the best way I know how.

[00:12:28]That's kind of why with details that I I was able to do brushes because they're not color. Um, and I wanted to do something makeup related for you guys. I wanted to give you something that had a little bit of a taste of what I had created that you all loved so much from Totty Beauty that was like a pivot. So, that's why I went and did details as a love letter to my audience. And now I'm back in a new lane doing something that I am so excited about and I think you guys are going to enjoy it. I have fought hard to get here and it feels like I'm reclaiming at least a small piece of myself back because when I think of the color cosmetics that's a piece of myself that like there's just there's no way for me to fight that. It just is what it is and I have to be a big girl and just move on. Um, so now you guys know. Now you know it's not jewelry. A lot of people are saying jewelry.

[00:13:36]All right, you guys. I'm going to show you. So, you've seen the box. I held it up last week, but Unfair Advantage, the brand name to me is really, really personal. And it kind of it feels like everything that I did go through um like the lessons that I learned. I always feel like when you go through obstacles, the thing that you come out with is wisdom. You come out with the lesson learned. And I definitely learned a lot as a businesswoman, especially when it comes to contracts, when it comes to working with the right people, when it comes to valuing myself enough to do things on my own where in the past I thought I needed more people. And really the reality is you don't. You just need to do the work and have the confidence to believe in yourself. Um, so this is the brand name and the definition. And these will be going there's a smaller version of this going into um orders, but I'll show you guys.

But for some reason the joy and just excitement of what we're doing and how we're doing it together as a team is making it smooth out. So there's this like peaceful excitement if that makes any sense at all. Like I wasn't nervous to come on live tonight. Like normally if I'm like, "Oh man, I'm so tired and like my makeup looks like garbage and I feel like I don't have the energy and like sometimes I'll get really stressed out, overthink it, and get anxious." And tonight I was just like, "It is what it is. Let it be.

[00:28:39]I'm going to be in the moment and just like roll with it." And I feel good doing that. I feel really good doing that. I'm in a good spot finally. And it's just like, "Oh my gosh." Sometimes when you're dealing with anxiety, with depression, with just not quite feeling 100% yourself, you convince yourself that this is your new permanent state.

[00:29:00]You think, well, that's it. My life's over. I'm going to be here in this underwater feeling state forever. I'm never going to reclaim the old parts of me. You kind of get in that mindset and you forget that life es and flows and that you do come up for error and you will get out of whatever you are going through. No matter how dire the situation, no matter what you're going through, it will change with time. And I'm finally starting to feel like I have my footing enough to not need to keep looking over my shoulder and to not feel that like wave of anxiety coming over me. And it is so just so incredible that like my prayer every day is like let me stay here and move forward and not get in my head and in the past. You know what I'm saying?

I had I think shade six and it was just it was way too dark. It was one of those things where I'm like I bought it online and it looked like it was good. Um, and I, you know, I'm pretty tan, but it was way too dark. I have a full day wear test on that particular foundation. A lot of people when I talked about it on IG, they're like, "How does it wear?" Like, "Do a wear test." And I'm like, "Already done it.

[00:32:24]So, you have a lot of peptides in skincare that is not just like a drizzle or a drip. It's like very potent in the actual foundation. It's a $110 foundation. I know. I know. It's like the craziest price for a foundation. A little bit goes a long way, but I swear like I have been wearing this foundation since like 700 a.m. I got up. I started doing my makeup at like 6:00. So, this makeup has been on me. I've only powdered. Like if you don't want to fuss too much and you just want to even things out and have it look really natural, especially if you have more dehydrated skin or you aren't uh 25 anymore and you don't want to exaggerate lines, like it's a really good way to go. [00:34:10]Do you have a trick to not mess up your makeup while wearing sunglasses? You can powder um the actual inside of your glasses. That doesn't really help a whole lot, but it will help a little bit. Make sure that you're powdering your nose uh so that you don't have any of the foundation kind of lifting off from contact with the sunglasses. But the reality is this is one of those things where we all wish there was a magical hack. And outside of using a very budge proof setting spray like one size or L'Oreal Infallible and powdering, there's just really not much else that you can do. I'm sorry I don't have better news.

The fact that this is fragrance free speaks to me because if anything needs to be fragrance-free for me, it's whatever's going on in my shower because the steam is kind of like making it come at me and then my nose is running and it's a whole thing. So, I try to be as careful as I can be in the shower, specifically with more naturally scented things or gently scented things or completely fragrance-free, which is actually harder to find than you would think. But I will be giving that an absolute go because Ntorium makes your skin just feel so soft. There's something about their body washes that just make you actually have like a nice slip to the skin. They do not dry you out at all.

[00:43:30]What are you wearing on your eyes? I am wearing Makeup by Mario. Um I gosh, it's just kind of slopped on if I'm being honest. I put a little bit of the like sequin toppers on top of my lid to try and hide the fact that my makeup was totally worn down. But that's what I'm wearing. And then YSL liner. James is back. If you're not on the essence train, hop on it. You wash your face, you're going to want to use some kind of an essence. And I have several of them that I love. A milky essence. I like Anua. I like the Ranovat one. I like uh Tier Tier has a great one. I like um there's a new spray one that I'm using. Anyway, long story short, Essence is amazing just giving you another layer of hydration and helping everything to penetrate more deeply, which is what we want when we're putting effort into our skinincare. This is such a gorgeous presentation. Let me just share with you all. Beautiful. This is the firming buguji serum. I absolutely will give this a go because I love that essence so much that why not?

[00:46:13]Your makeup tonight is beautiful. Oh my gosh. I could give you a hug because I feel like I waited till the very last moment to do a touchup and then I was like, "Whatever, we're going live. I don't care. I'm doing it." Um, so I kind of just like smudged some more eye makeup on, retouched up my eyeliner, powdered, did a little blush, and kind of brought it back to life. But thank you so much.

[00:46:37]How is essence different from a toner? A toner is more something that you are going to use on a pad and kind of wipe over the skin. An essence is something that you are going to deliberately shake in the hand and you want the face to remain staying kind of wet. You want that wetness to help your serums to penetrate more deeply. A toner a lot of the time will have ingredients that are going to clean out the pore, exfoliate, and an essence is something that is just going to be more hydration and helpful to your skin barrier.

[00:47:14]Lashes and the lash glue. I'm wearing velour lash glue and of course my Ardell 421s. as always, always, always. I do not stray. I don't think I've ever been more loyal to a makeup product outside of maybe the Tarte uh primer than I am to my Ardell 421. Thank you for loving my nail color. It's a gel called Swan, but it is a very close match to OPI uh Cajun Shrimp.

So, we shall see. This is Milk Orchid. And the name, like the name, look at this. How stunning.

It is also reminding me of the Victoria Beckham Rey fragrance that I bought that I spent too much money on.

Okay, this is going to be much better for me. This is more like the Patrick Ta where you're going to get a little bit of a bronzing effect along with the gloss. So, that's kind of cool. We haven't really seen this at the drugstore. So, this is actually like a nice option and it doesn't have such like a strong scent. It's like a nice sweet scent. So, if you want to layer other things on top, you can. The issue I've had with the Patrick Ta one, which does make your skin look insane.

[00:55:09]It's beautiful, but the terrible thing about it is it's so fragranced that you're not going to wear any other fragrance on top of it. Otherwise, it's going to clash. Um, you better be in theme if you do. And it's really enough that you don't need to wear fragrance, but you're kind of like boxed in. You know what I'm saying?

[00:55:35]Could you show us how to do a bronzer blush in cream? I love Charlotte Tilbury, but no idea how to apply cream blushes. Really, with cream blush, you're going to apply it very similarly location-wise that you would a powder blush, but you want to do it before you powder your face. So, if you're doing foundation and concealer, what I like to do is go in with my blush and just kind of hit the area that I normally would with my powder um or with powder blush.

[00:56:04]And then I'll go in just basically do all of your creams first and then powder. And if you want to do like a little extra oomph, like an extra little kiss of color, then go on top with a corresponding powder blush. And that's kind of how I like to sandwich everything together so it lasts all day.

[00:56:21]But really, you're gonna be applying it pretty much the same way. Um, it's just, uh, another tip I can give you, I don't have a brush in front of me. Well, I do.

[00:56:31]Wrong kind of brush, but with a blush brush, what you're going to do is take your blush on the brush, and I like to use the palm of my hand to really load the cream into the brush. And then I just kind of stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp.

[00:56:46]The error that a lot of people make is they will go with their fingers, which can work, but it's just not as precise.

[00:56:52]Or they'll go straight from whatever stick and they're using too much. You need to be very advanced to do that move. So, I wouldn't go that route. Um, the other mistake is, of course, any like cream that you put on top of powder, you got to be really careful because it can end up gumming up the makeup and then it's kind of like the point of no return.

[00:57:16]Okay, we have a brush that actually looks very pretty. I got to say this is just like the Patrick Tomlin, I think. So, I think this is similar.

[00:57:26]This looks substantial to put on the body of this stuff. I'm going to try it out. Okay. And there is more. This is a full-blown collection from Revolution Beauty. This is Giving Fenty. So, we have like an entire like different brands being duped within this whole sun themed body collection. This is the Sun Rush Face and Body Luminizer. This looks very shimmery to me.

[00:58:04]And it has that same kind of orange creamsicle scent that's really not heavy at all. It's quite nice. Okay, if you like something that's very pizzazzy, that has a lot of micica in it, a lot of sparkle, you might really love that. The consistency is nice, the scent is nice, the bottle's glass, it feels really elevated. I don't love that kind of a glitter on my skin. I prefer a gloss, a glow. The lotion from L'Oreal is my favorite. or even KE's the creme decor is really great to give like that nice glossing to the skin. I I'm kind of over the era of everything being kind of like sparkly on the body. I just don't want that, you know.

[00:58:45]Okay, we have a gloss in here that I bet is just clear. That's cute. And then as far as this sunrush face and body luminizer, we have a more bronzy shade as well. Okay. And I still like am looking at this perfume bottle, you guys. I am so excited to wear this.

It has to be like a neutral, like a mossy green or something that's like a deep kind of a touch of turquoise that's more in a neutral tone. That's a nice touch. I don't know how much use I will get out of this one though, if I am being honest.
