Extremely Contagious Virus Now In ALL 50 States | Millions Are ConcernedAdded:
There is currently a virus that's making its way across the United States and many experts believe that this could actually go from bad to worse and it's all because of the FIFA World Cup.
According to experts, they believe that the FIFA World Cup could be the start of a super spreader event for the Noro virus. Look at this. It says a vomiting virus is spreading across most of the US. goes on to say, "Hikers along the Pacific Crest Trail in Southern California have been hit with Norovirus, but they're not the only ones suffering.
Wastewater data shows high levels in many states. I want to actually show you that map. Look at this. This is the norovirus levels in wastewater. For much of the United States, it's in medium.
The risk is medium. But over here in the northeast it is high. You can see norovirus levels in wastewater is high.
That's concerning because again we do not need much. And the neurovirus can withstand and just stay on surfaces for days and it would be transferred to the next person. Listen to this. A nasty stomach bug is spreading across most of our country and it is norovirus.
Wastewater data shows levels are now high nationwide with more than 1100 outbreaks recorded since August. So here's what you need to know folks.
Health experts say it only takes as few as 10 virus particles to make you sick.
And hand sanitizer, it's not going to kill it at all. You need soap and water.
Symptoms hit within 12 to 48 hours, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. And most people recover in 1 to three days. So, cookouts, crowds, and travel this weekend are the perfect recipe for spread.
>> Not only just this weekend, okay? But health experts are advising if you are not feeling well to stay inside. Do not go out there and join the picnic. Don't go to the World Cup. Don't go watch the concert or even go to a movie. Stay inside your house. Stay isolated because again, you can actually give it to the other people that you live with. So, that's a huge problem there. But listen to this. It says many experts are watching Norovirus closely, especially during the FIFA World Cup. The FIFA World Cup. Just so you have an idea, they're anticipating millions of international travelers coming into the US alone. But it's not just the United States. It's also Mexico and Canada. But the FIFA World Cup starts officially.
First whistle will be on June 11th. It will go all the way until the finals on July 19th. This is a massive event. It's the biggest sporting event in the entire world. And yes, it's much bigger than the Super Bowl. But I want to play another clip for you. Listen to this.
>> Noroirus has had a small uptick in the United States. Now, for those of you who don't know, neurovirus is one of those viruses that causes an intense nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It only lasts for 3 or 4 days, but during those three or four days, you are going to be pretty much attached to the bathroom. You're not going to venture far from it. Might I suggest investing in a bedet because it will help things in the end. The neuroirus is intense and it is highly communicable. You probably heard about this virus on ships. Now, we'll listen to the rest of this in a moment, but this is the thing. What are we doing in the the next several weeks? Well, people are already going through graduation ceremonies. We are seeing high schoolers graduate, college students graduating even in in you know middle school and preschool and you know in elementary school whatever you want to call it.
There are events there's gettogethers where now these are considered a spreading event. Maybe not a super spreader event but when you factor in the amount of people that are coming together if just one person has the norovirus every single other person could potentially get that. That's the risk here. And again, I'm bringing this to your attention because everybody's been talking about the haunt virus and oh yeah, we saw it on the ship. There were cases in the US or well cases. And I said this before, what we were going to see is people were going to come out of the word work and say, "I got the haunt virus and I got it because of X, Y, and Z." No. The reason why there's going to be more uh stories about the haunt virus is because people have been seeing it on the news and they think, "Okay, I have this symptom. I have that symptom. I might have it." They go into the the hospital or clinic to get tested and well, days later they realize I don't have it. But people are being tested for it. They don't necessarily have it. They're being tested. And then we saw a lot of cases regarding Ebola, but that was over in Africa. That was over in in uh the DRC, okay, in Uganda.
That wasn't here in the United States.
But because so many people were talking about it, myself included, a lot of people were saying, well, this could be a big issue. We could be getting that here in the United States. Well, yes and no. There are cases. This is a possibility, but it's not high. The most likely scenario, most likely scenario according to several experts is not haunt virus.
Okay, yes, that's still a threat. It's not Ebola. Yes, that's still a threat, but it's a small threat. The biggest threat, the largest concern right now is this right here, the neuro virus uptick, because this is spreading across the United States. And for many people, they don't even realize they have neurovirus.
They don't, again, it could be the the symptoms could be minor. They they're not stuck in a bathroom for days on end, but the concern is it can spread. I want to I want you to listen the rest of this, then I want to read some to you.
On ships, these viruses pass back and forth because the air isn't circulated well. People are close together. People are eating over buffets and spreading all of their germs all over. And neuroirus stays on surfaces for days. It is very easy to get. You contact it from another individual. You get it on a surface. You talk I mean if you don't think about how much surface contamination you get. Get a pair of glasses and look and see how disgustingly dirty they become from your own fingerprints. That happens to your mouth and to your nose also. That's how these viruses spread. So, please be careful. If you have any friends who have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, leave them some chicken soup or some nice foe.
Leave it on the door. They can come to the door and get it before they return to the bathroom. Don't go shaking their hands and hugging them.
>> Yeah. Don't do it. Okay. If someone is sick, stay away from them for the next, you know, 3 to 4 days, maybe even a little bit longer, just to make sure you don't get it and then it gets spread to somebody else. Now, I want to read you one last thing. Here's the thing.
According to experts, they say the risk of neurovirus and the likelihood of the the World Cup becoming a super spreader event, well, the risk is moderate. We should not panic yet. Okay? And honestly, I don't think we'll need to panic at all because the neuroirus isn't taking people's lives unless they become severely dehydrated.
But that's all because of vomiting and diarrhea. But here's the thing. This is the risk. There's going to be localized outbreaks according to experts. There will be localized outbreaks and they will likely be near or really close to these uh World Cup events. So like uh Lumen Field or Seattle Field or Los Angeles Field or whatever Houston field, whatever they're deciding to call these fields that these World Cup teams are playing at and all these fans are going to and attending the parties. Yeah, those are going to be where the localized um outbreaks are going to happen. So, if you want to know more about what's going on and how this could ultimately impact you, do two things.
