Niger’s reclamation of its uranium resources marks a decisive, long-overdue break from neo-colonial economic structures in the Sahel. This bold assertion of sovereignty is a necessary step toward true independence, even if it invites significant geopolitical friction.

After 58 Years, Niger Finally Sends Home France’s Largest Uranium Company 🇳🇪🔥Added:
The government of Nijer has done the unthinkable. They've [music] cancelled [singing] the uranium concession license that has been under the control [music] of the French mining company since 1968.
There's a bigger war coming because of this in the Sahel region. This will be worse than all the wars they have seen so far and many more lives are going to be lost in this process. France will [music] not allow for this without a fight, ladies and gentlemen. But this is the only way forward. This is the only way forward. I said, ladies and gentlemen, why do you think Macron had to leave France in spite of the continuous protests for months in France to be in Africa for three straight nights? Why?
I want to begin by first of all thanking God for this major milestone. Ladies and gentlemen, we just received this morning this YouTube silver plaque for reaching 100,000 subscribers. This one behind me.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our fervent subscribers for the encouragement and the continual support for what we do which we shall continue to do even more. You [snorts] have to trust the process and I wish all of you guys the best in your personal lives wherever you watch me from. Ladies and gentlemen, now it is official. It is official. The government of Nijer has done the unthinkable.
Just when we thought the AES had already done so much damage to the economy of France by rescending raw material supplies to France, then the Nigerian cabinet adopted an even harsher decree.
This happened on the 18th of this month.
They've cancelled the uranium concession license that has been under the control of the French mining company since 1968.
There was one more left. This concession was under the operation of Orurano the the stateowned French company which mines uranium in Nijer. The Nijer council of ministers led by Abdul Ramani just revoked that license too. You see in 2024 Nijer revoked the permit of Imurin which also mines uranium in Nijer which got Macron furious. He has since done his worst which has brought us here ladies and gentlemen. And now the last straw that breaks the camel's back was just enacted. And I know what's coming. You should know what's coming. There's a bigger war coming because of this in the Sahel region. This will be worse than all the wars they have seen so far. And many more lives are going to be lost in this process. France will not allow for this without a fight, ladies and gentlemen. But this is the only way forward. This is the only way forward. I say ladies and gentlemen and for all the African leaders out there, ladies and gentlemen, you know that this is the path ordained for any group of oppressed people who desire true freedom. You know it. You know there isn't an alternative to this process. The final freedom will come through war. It begins with a war that results in a lot of bloodshed on both sides and a lot of wasted resources.
Then you call truce. Then you have an understanding and then every group goes their separate ways. This is what it will take to give Africa the final economic freedom that we want. But our leaders don't have the courage to do it.
This thing is not for everybody. Just so you know, what the AES is doing, ladies and gentlemen. What the AES is doing is not for everybody. All leaders are not the same. There are some who are born to kill elephants and those that are born to kill rats. They are on a different pedestal.
That's why it's only these three African countries that are moving in this direction right now in Africa. The rest of the pack enjoy the roles as leaders.
They enjoy being in the spotlight and being called Mr. President. They rather dine with Macron than to fight Macron.
They fear the blowback of a confrontation against Macron. They are comfortable with how things are going so long as it's within their domain to be in charge. Ladies and gentlemen, it's similar to when I twisted my wrist. This one as a kid and the pain was so excruciating when I was a little boy. I didn't want anyone to touch it. For some few days, I couldn't sleep because of the pain. The pain was unbearable. Yet, I did not want anyone to touch it, including the very people who had the ability to heal me. And no matter how much I cried at night, the pain wouldn't stop neither. It continued until one day I had to face that nightmare. The lady who works on bones had to grab my wrist and pull it back into the position it was. The pain was overwhelming. I remember it even now. I cried my eyes out. I ran out of tears as a matter of fact. But I understood that that was the only way to keep my wrist on my forearm, ladies and gentlemen. And [snorts] thank God I chose that path because today I have all my limbs intact. That's how life actually is. Except that our leaders don't see things that way. They actually believe African leaders actually believe that negotiations can bring about the changes Africans need.
Such a naive way of processing the challenges we have. They still think negotiations can bring about change after they have negotiated for 60 years plus on the average across Africa and see no difference. They still actually think this is the way out negotiations.
Many are very very naive. You need to understand that the changes they are dreaming of is literally tempering with the current financial order that sustains the way of the lives of the people of the west. This is something that directly attacks the way of life for the western world and France in this instance and you want to believe they will let you just negotiate your way out Africans, don't be naive. It's not going to be like that.
When these western countries could have gotten uranium at 80 cents on a dollar, you want them to go and buy it at prevailing market price of over $100 per kilo. That's definitely not something they will allow to happen.
This is all they know, ladies and gentlemen. This is all they know. Taken for free. Why do you think Macron had to leave France in spite of the continuous protests for months in France to be in Africa for three straight nights? Why?
So that he can drink Kenyan tea and run alongside Kipchigi, one of my greatest Olympians of all time and negotiate with African leaders who took part in the Kenyan summit. You think that's why he's here? That's impossible. There's no way in hell that Macron came to meet heads of state in Africa to get their opinions on what needs to be done to benefit everybody. You are naive to believe this was his mission. And that's why I look at Kenyan president and wonder if he actually understands what's going on with the entire situation with the ultimate plan of France or whether he's playing the role of a mole in the entire process. Ladies and gentlemen, what these guys in the AES is doing is eventually going to break the banking system of the west when it comes to the SE region. This can be contagious.
Others may follow and all of that. Do you actually think this is what Macron came to discuss with our African leaders? Ladies and gentlemen, Nijer deliberately revoked this license on purpose to send a doubledown message to Macron. Just when Macron thought he may be making some strides because of this summit, Nijer drops the bomb on it by cleaning out what remain of France in their country. Ladies and gentlemen, just like I've said to you in the past, France can never come to that point of treating Africans as co-equals.
[snorts] If that ever happened, they will have to be strong armed. It will have to come by force. Ladies and gentlemen, they have never demonstrated this perception or ideology in the past 65 years. And nothing suggests they will begin now. This is what I foresee.
Ladies and gentlemen, they are going to pound harder on the AES moving forward through their proxies and hope that something sticks. But if that doesn't happen, Nijer, Mali, Bkina, Faso will stand a chance of being the three African countries to completely attain their total independence from their colonial masters. This is what is about to happen. one of these two. What is about to happen next will usher in the beginning of either the AES completely liberated or they are whipped back into the fold. President Macron has from now till April of 2027 to do his worst before they go to the next elections. He is serving his second and last term in office and it's over for him. He's therefore going to do everything possible to change the narrative that it was under his leadership that the French government suffered the most losses in terms of diplomatic relations in Africa.
He doesn't want to go down like this. He lost Nijer, he lost Mali, lost Bkina Faso and there are few franophhone countries that aren't on the same page with France like it used to be. It all happened under his watch. He doesn't want that record. That's bad for his reputation. So people of Africa, let's continue to provide all the support we can to the AES and help them overcome this hurdle which will essentially impact all of us in the sub region.
[snorts] I'll end here for now and thank you once again for all the support from the beginning. My name is Cyrus and this is Network in Acra Ghana. Subscribe and be a part of what we are doing here. We are going places ladies and gentlemen.
We are going places.
>> [snorts] >> It is. Bye-bye for now.
