The "protector" archetype is exposed as a hollow performance when men prioritize self-preservation over the very duty they claim defines their social value. This critique effectively dismantles the hypocrisy of a masculinity that demands status but refuses the sacrifice required to actually safeguard the vulnerable.

Men Tell Other Men To Not Intervene In DV Situations After Man Loses His Life!Added:
Eddie Hill Jr. lost his life early Tuesday morning in Nash, Texas when he actually tried to intervene with a domestic dispute between his coworker and her husband. And the husband actually ended up taking his life, severely injuring her, and then taking his own life.
>> I don't know how many times I got to tell y'all, leave these DV situations alone. You got to let them get beat. As [ __ ] up as it sounds, you got to let them get beat.
>> So, look, check it out, ladies and hear me out. Hear me out. Look, men have a superpower. Straight that up. In my opinion, men have a superpower. I'm going to tell you what it is. It's safety. Straight up. Men have the ability to keep women safe.
>> It's all about possession.
Possession equals protection. Protection equals possession. For me, that's my woman. I'll protect my woman again, which we know is [ __ ] >> Good brothers. Why would y'all get in the middle of that? Do not allow these womens to get online and talk and convince you that women are unprotected and you need to step in and all. No.
Your family has a right to have you come home to them. You are not to blade your life down for a complete stranger. He died a hero.
You guys are tarnishing that playing Monday morning quarterback. Oh, should have, would have, could have. Men do not care about protecting women at all. Men don't care about the protection of men either. Um, but men don't care about protecting women and children or anything like that.
How many times h do we have to keep hearing men after a man does intervene and try to protect a woman or a child and fails to do so by way of he himself being killed or beaten um severely or something like that? How many times do we have to hear about that just to get on the internet and hear a bunch of men, you know, being like, "Oh, man. Yeah, that's why you don't do it."
Like, you you got you guys really don't care about the protection of women and you don't care about the protection of men. Again, it's not it's it's it's not like you guys care about protecting men.
What you guys want to do is you want or Yeah. What what you want to do is you want to you want because you guys are abusive.
The men who say this are abusers. You can't convince me that you're not. You can't convince me you're not. Um you don't want somebody to intervene if you were to ever abuse a woman. That's first and foremost. Secondly, you don't you want women to be afraid. You want women to think nobody is going to come save me.
So, you want to use the fear to control the women.
Nobody is ever going to come save me.
Um, also, you probably think some way that this will lead back to like, oh, this is why you need men for protection, which is crazy because in one breath you guys are saying, don't help a woman out if she is being harmed by a man. So, I'm not understanding how men can be protectors. This is why I tell y'all men aren't protectors. This is a perfect example of how men aren't protectors.
So, this gentleman is Eddie Hill Jr. He was um killed recently while trying to uh prevent um or get in between a domestic violence situation between a man and a woman while he was at work. Um I I guess the woman worked there too at his job and he tried to intervene. I don't know the exact details of how he intervened but he tried to intervene and uh subsequently he was killed by the uh by the boyfriend or whatever.
This is how men are responding to this though and and and this you guys know that how men are going to respond. But this is just ridiculous.
I don't know how many times I got to tell y'all leave these DV situations alone. You got to let them get beat. is [ __ ] >> You got to let him get beat.
That's a weird way of phrasing that up as it sounds. You got to let them get beat. You You are not this guy right here. You're not him. You're not [ __ ] him. Just let it go. Let it. And then we got DC characters like Super [ __ ] right here. It amazes me to read so many saying it's best not to get involved.
Since when has it become best for men not to get involved when it comes to protecting someone, especially a woman?
Uh, since it's been best not to lose your [ __ ] life.
>> Again, I want y'all help me out.
Is men the protectors or is we not. Is we or is we not the protectors? Now, I know we're not the protectors. I'm saying based on what y'all be saying.
Is we or is we not the protectors?
Cuz that is a blanket statement. Men are the protectors. That's a blanket statement. It doesn't say, "Well, men are only supposed to protect the women that they're ne and by the way, here's another reason why men aren't the protectors." Because listen, Linda, the man that killed the man that stepped up, Eddie Hill Jr., the man that killed him was her was her boyfriend. The man that the when So, listen what I'm saying. You guys say women need men to protect them from other men. And usually you are talking about uh basically what you guys say is women you need to give a man access to your body and labor in exchange for that and in exchange for that you will get protection from that man. But what h who is going to protect that woman from that man is the question and and that man is more than likely going to be the man to harm her. Right?
So Eddie Hill Jr. steps up and and attempts to protect her. Which, by the way, here's what y'all not here's the part that y'all not saying. What if Eddie Hill Jr. actually did succeed in protecting her?
If he killed him, what makes me think he wasn't going to kill her? You see what I'm saying? He didn't fail to protect that woman. He actually did protect that woman. So anyways, um h how are men the protectors if the man that was supposed to protect her was the man that was trying to harm her? And then on the flip side, you guys are saying men in general shouldn't step up to protect women.
So like you said, you you got to let them get beat. So how are men protectors? That's all I'm trying to figure out. The math ain't nothing.
>> What do you mean? S uh I don't know.
Maybe I want to see my child grow up. I don't [ __ ] know. Maybe I still want to see my mom tomorrow. I don't know.
Maybe. Maybe I have a life to live. What do you What do you mean? Since what has not been best over a stranger? you. I'll tell you what, this story is going to pass and the and the person's going to see it on the internet and they're going to keep on scrolling. His life what he threw away his life for for what? For what?
>> A woman to protect a woman. He protected a woman successfully. She She didn't get un alive. She didn't get killed. So yeah, I would say he protected her.
>> So look, check it out, ladies and hear me out. Hear me out. Look, men have a superpower. Straight that up. In my opinion, men have a superpower, and I'm going to tell you what it is. It's safety. Straight up. Men have the ability to keep women safe, secure. You mean you give a woman a safe spot to put her heart? You make a woman feel safe.
You mean you make a woman feel taken care of? You mean you put a woman in your feminine, that's going to be the most softest, most feminine woman you've ever met in your life? I promise you, this woman's going to show you a love you never felt before, baby. I promise you. You mean? We're men. We're protectors. You're tripping. Come on, my boy. Look, I'm a big, ugly, strong man.
Straight up. You mean my woman is a little petite, beautiful woman. I'mma protect that woman with my life. I promise you, anything that comes against my woman, I'm getting it. I'm getting it in its tracks. It's getting no >> See, it's all about possession.
Possession equals protection. Protection equals possession for me. That's my woman. and I'll protect my woman again, which we know is [ __ ] because the men that are most likely to harm these small, petite, beautiful women is the big, ugly, strong man that's with her.
Possession equals protection. [ __ ] trapped and you done. Straight up, I protect my woman. You mean straight up?
I'm a man, bro. I'm a big dog. That's my petite little beautiful little mama.
Straight that up. I'm protect that woman with my life. I promise you. You mean that' be a bad idea to get in front of her. That'd be a bad day. I promise you, you mean >> Yeah. I don't know if he would or he wouldn't. I'm just saying that that is the sentiment of many of men. Most men would say that stupid ass [ __ ] Most men say that goofy ass [ __ ] And I and I again, I just find it amazing how every single time a man actually does step up to defend a woman and he himself is harmed or loses his life, y'all instantly go to, I'll be telling y'all, stop protecting these women. Of course, it's the usual suspects of abusive men talking like this though, by the way.
>> Fella, stop being the good Samaritan.
There's a man in Texas, I think it's Nash, Texas or Nate, Texas, whatever it was, um, named Eddie Hill Jr. who out of the goodness of his heart, and God bless him, like I'm sure that he was a man who people were to probably say >> he was a real man, as y'all like to say, he was a real He was a real man. He was a stand up. He was a standup man. High moral fortitude and character. Unlike you [ __ ] >> he had a good heart. Always helping people. Tried to break up domestic dispute between a man and a woman. In the process of that, lost his life.
Imagine that. Your loved one, your uncle, your brother, your husband, your cousin goes out, you think you won't see him again. He loses his life being a good Samura. Who's Who does that serve?
>> My My wife would not My wife would a she would expect me to help a woman out if she was being harmed by me. But B, if I were if something were to happen to me, she would not be mad at me at all. She wouldn't be disappointed in me one bit. And I'm going to address something that I find to be odd about all of this.
I don't know what was going on with the domestic couples, but statistics would tell me even if the cops were called and someone was arrested, they would get back together. So, good brothers, why would y'all get in the middle of that?
Do not allow these womens to get online and talk and convince you that women are unprotected and you need to step in and all. No, your family has a right to have you come home to them. You are not to blade your life down for a complete stranger. It's a lot different if you kicking in a door because a building on fire or >> mind you, these be the same men that be ready to fight, that be ready to kill people allegedly over the internet because they had words with a person, but they can't pro they can't step up and protect the woman. They be ready to die over their ego, but they not ready to die to protect a woman. It's ridiculous. or you hear a baby screaming or something like that, you let these women be in their the situation that they are because your life and the grief of your family is not worth their situation. They got to get it out on their own. And I feel bad for Eddie Hill Jr. and his family because they lost what sounds like a a a protector man for their family and now their family's unguarded. All >> Yeah, you don't care about Eddie Hill Jr. And here's how I know all these goofy ass men that's having this take don't care about Eddie Hill Jr. They're just using him. They're like weaponizing his name right now. Y'all don't care about Eddie Hill Jr. because you guys are focused way more on what happened to him versus the man who killed him. You don't even y'all not even talking about the man who killed him. Now, let's listen to this story and tell me, you guys tell me, would you be so focused on Eddie Hill Jr.? You know, you got to bring up that he lost his life obviously and um you know, condolences to him to, you know, to his family, no doubt about it. All that stuff. But listen to this story.
>> Eddie Hill Jr. lost his life early Tuesday morning in Nash, Texas when he actually tried to intervene with a domestic dispute between his coworker and her husband. and the husband actually ended up taking his life, severely injuring her and then taking his own life. Now, this happened at Tex Arcana aluminum plant on Almax Drive at around 6:30 in the morning. He had actually just gotten to work and he ended up seeing them in the parking lot.
The husband, who is 40-year-old Wendle Champion Jr., was actually trying to confront his wife, Candace Champion, and he actually saw them having a dispute.
He tried to intervene to kind of calm the situation down, and unfortunately, that did not work. Wendle actually ended up shooting him, ending his life. Then he severely injured Candace, his wife, and then turned the weapon on himself, and he did not survive his injury. So, both men of the situation have lost their lives. And then Candace is in the hospital surviving through her injuries, but of course still has a road of recovery. Now, Wendle just got out of dog on prison last year after he took a dog on security guard's life back in 2007 in Harris County. He was actually doing an armed robbery. He ended up shooting the security guard and he just got out and he was on parole. Why he didn't have that much time from that doggo incident, I'm not sure. I know that person's family is ticked all the way to the highest levels of festivity that he's gotten out and done this to somebody else's family. So, this is absolutely devastating. Now, Eddie was married to Atura. I believe that is how you say his wife's name. I do apologize if I'm saying that incorrectly. They had just celebrated their 13-year anniversary. And so, this is absolutely devastating news. This was a man that was a pillar in his community. He was a giver. There are friends that are already, you know, kind of expressing their the sadness about his loss. He was a great father. He was a great brother, a son. So, a lot of people are already missing him and his impact in their life and just trying to step in and save a coworker ends up taking his life is a very devastating situation. So, I am very sorry to hear of the loss and the impact that will be felt from that loss for a long time to come.
>> So, why are we not talking about the fact that that this man that took um Eddie's life was on parole for killing a [ __ ] security guard 19 years ago? Why Why is that not a bigger focus? Why are we not talking about how violent men are?
Why? Why is it go to? Well, that's why you don't get in between a man and a woman. Why wouldn't the Why wouldn't the talk be Why the [ __ ] are men so violent?
Why are we so violent? Why do Why are men so violent to to women and to children and to men? Like, why are we so violent?
Can we talk about how vulnerable women are and how how extremely violent men seek to to control women and dominate women and often times it leads to violence. Can we talk about that? This would be a good time to talk about domestic violence. This would be a good time to talk about um men controlling their anger. This would be a good time to talk about coercive control. This would be like we could be talking about so many [ __ ] more important things that will actually address the issue.
Instead, you dumb [ __ ] want to go to, oh, that's why you don't that that's why you don't try to protect the woman because let's say Eddie didn't step up. He k he tried to kill the woman and killed himself. So, so there just would have been one less person killed in this scenario.
You see what I'm saying? It would have actually stopped people from dying like in general. It just would it would have been one less person to die.
Y'all are okay if the woman is killed.
Ah, that's whatever. The completely innocent woman that ain't got nothing to do with it. Yeah, that's okay. That's okay. The man that steps up to protect her. Oh, no. See, no, no, no, no, no.
Y'all, y'all got to stay out of Y'all got to let him get beat. That's what he said, right? Y'all got to let him get beat.
There was a time when people would come on to Tik Tok and they would lie about people not intervening in domestic violence situation. They would say men never intervene because they're afraid of the other men. But I would see >> most of the time men don't intervene.
>> See stories like this. And I would say to myself, you are doing the right thing, but you have to understand that you have to be more dangerous than the other guy that you're trying to stop from assaulting the woman that you're trying to save. So, I will never tell you not to do the right thing, but I'll tell you that if you are going to do the right thing and step in, you need to be more dangerous than that other person because I don't know if he just got the drop on this guy that was trying to >> Why are you playing this goofy ass music? Y'all are so annoying. All you All you weird [ __ ] y'all always doing something weird and goofy >> to help. or if it was a situation where they had a shootout. At the end of the day, there's a family out there saying, "My dad, my brother, my uncle, he did the right thing, but they're going to say that they miss their uncle, dad, brother, whatever he is." Oh, wait. This is what I'm saying. He's acknowledging that the family won't feel like, "Oh, he shouldn't have stepped in or whatever."
They're going to feel like that [ __ ] that killed Eddie shouldn't have done it. Like, that's the right approach. But then there's these other stupid [ __ ] speak like almost speaking up for the family like see he was trying to make it on to his family. Shut the [ __ ] up. The family don't feel like that.
He was a He was a hero. He died a hero.
You guys are tarnishing that playing Monday morning quarterback. Oh, should have, would have, could have. He shouldn't have stepped up. You got to be more dangerous than the man. Shut up, [ __ ] You got on that [ __ ] copa cabana collar. What the [ __ ] you know about being dangerous? That stupid goofy ass mic next to your throat.
You about the most undangerous [ __ ] on the internet. Silly ass music playing to somebody. And I've seen situations where they have the post interview with the family and the family member will say, "I wish he didn't intervene." So you're going to step in. Be dangerous. Make sure you get home.
Oh man, I can't stand you. I can't stand y'all. I can't I can't I hate it. I hate it here. Being a man is so goofy. Hey, being a man is a humiliation ritual cuz we are so dumb.
We are so stupid. It's It's like whoa.
What the [ __ ] am I not? Am like are there any emotionally stable semi-intelligent men alive breathing?
All of y'all say this stupid [ __ ] It's like a handful of men that's like, "Nah, he actually did the right thing."
Then the rest of y'all are like, "Oh, that's why you don't stand up.
That's why you don't protect that woman." So what if he was doing it to a kid? Would you say the same thing? See, I feel like y'all might say something a little bit different if it was a child.
But that's why we always say women and children. Women and children. Cuz neither deserve that. Neither deserve that. Eddie didn't deserve that either.
Eddie didn't deserve to be killed.
Lord, I hope it ain't never none of y'all families, man. But to the protective men, to the men out here that actually do protect women, keep protecting women and children. Um, number one way to protect women and children is you yourself be a not dangerous man. Be a safe man.
