And on top of that, there are practical hurdles. Every international trade typically involves in foreign exchange, which can mean higher transaction cost, trading outside Canadian market hours, and in some cases limited access to international exchanges altogether. When you layer all that together, global investing can feel far more complicated than it needs to be. And honestly, that complexity can deter investors from executing, myself included.
