While the video correctly identifies Ripple's strategic regulatory win in Australia, it masks nuanced institutional progress with typical retail-driven sensationalism. Securing an AFSL is a pragmatic step toward infrastructure integration, though its real-world impact will be evolutionary rather than an overnight revolution.

OMG! AUSTRALIA JUST PLUGGED XRP IN! THIS IS MASSIVE!Added:
If you guys watched some of my recent videos, then you would know that Ripple is taking over in the UK, in Japan, and pretty much all around the world, even in Hong Kong and some of these other key areas. And it seems as though they're even taking over in Australia as well.
The global push from Ripple is very impressive. I mean, listen, I understand that people will look at Ripple and say like, "Oh, well, XRP is not doing good, but good for Ripple." And yeah, sure, I understand where everyone's coming from with that, but you got to realize that what's good for Ripple will also be very beneficial for XRP once we do have full-on clarity because all of these major advancements that we're seeing from Ripple to, you know, get these major licenses, expand their payment corridors, that is all major exposure for XRP that could be tapped in in some of these key markets that are moving billions to even trillions of dollars per year, which is very exciting.
But we dive on into this. We look at what's happening here. So back in March, Ripple was to acquire an Australian financial services license as APAC payments volume doubles. Now they were obtaining this license through the acquisition of BC Payments Australia and their regulatory side of the game is already advancing to over 75 licenses worldwide. Uh, Ripple plans to acquire BC Payments Australia to secure an Australian financial services license, enabling it to offer its full payment stack in the country through a single integration. The company says payments volume in the Asia-Pacific region nearly doubled year-over-year in 2025, contributing to a reported $100 billion in total processed volume across 60 markets. Ripple's also joining project acacia um a digital asset infrastructure initiative led by Australia's central bank as XRP trades around $138 with modest gains for the day and week. Now that project acacia is a huge project that we have been tracking for a while because Hideera is also a part of that in a big way. Um and we'll get to that here in a moment but I do want to look at the full breakdown from Ripple. So here we have the full breakdown.
Obviously they are getting their license uh through the Australian Financial Services License AFSL um through you know Australia obviously to further expanding its regulated footprint in the Asia-Pacific region.
Now they plan to really kind of offer um you know financial institutions, fintexs and enterprises in the region faster, more efficient ways to move value across borders while operating within established regulatory frameworks. We have down here from Fiona Marray who is a managing director of Asia-Pacific at Ripple. Licensing is fundamental to Ripple strategy ensuring that we can deliver secure compliant solutions to customers worldwide. Australia is a key market for Ripple and an AFSL strengthens our ability to scale Ripple payments across the region. By leveraging blockchain technology and digital assets, we enable customers to move value globally with greater speed, transparency, and reliability. We remain focused on working closely with regulators to support the next phase of growth for digital asset infrastructure and all of this is through their acquisition of BC payments Australia.
Now when we look at this we do have that with the ASF as FL in place Ripple payments can manage the full life cycle of a transaction from onboarding and compliance through funding FX liquidity management and final payout while integrating both traditional banking rails and also digital assets. So yeah, I mean this is definitely very exciting because number one, it allows Ripple to directly oversee settlement, connecting customers to local payout partners and optimizing transaction routing, delivering faster time to settlement, greater transparency and reduce counterparty risk. This also enables customers to benefit from a single integration into Ripple's infrastructure without needing to manage multiple intermediaries or the underlying blockchain technology themselves. And when we look at, you know, just where Ripple is currently right now with their connections back to major victory licenses or even central banks, there's 75 victory licenses around the world that they do have, making them one of the most licensed crypto companies. Uh they recently got their approval in, you know, the UK and even the EU and then also in Japan. They are fully regulated as well. But Australia is not like a new market for them. Like they have been expanding in the Australian market for a very long time. like you know even with uh Heiha Money uh this is you know redefining global transactions from Australia to the rest of the world and of course yes this is all based around crossber payments with ripple solution um this is definitely a big one as well and then also we go to the next evolution in global payments brings stable coins to the Australian market this was back in June of 2023 and uh they do talk about stable coin adoption and just really kind of what's happening obviously the Australian digital dollar stable coin coin is now live on the XRP ledger. XRP is a big key piece of this. Uh this stable coin is definitely big. We've talked about it in prior videos as well around the XRP ledger. They also have uh Stellar tapped in too, but stable coins in even Australia are being adopted in a big way. Uh they're still very low in terms of value. Uh but I do suspect that that's going to grow as more and more digital based payment solutions are adopted around the world. Really kind of scaling other fiat based uh stable coins. And then obviously Australia really kind of kicking things up a notch to really kind of compete. But also looking at Flash Payments, they expand it globally through partnership with Ripple. Um again, this is an Australianbased player, an Australianbased digital payments provider offering solutions for crossber transactions with the focus on efficiency and cost effectiveness. And when we look at or sorry cost effectiveness and then when we look down here, you know, they were established back in 2016. they wanted to tap in with Ripple because they know how transformative they are for crossber payments. So, you know, this is definitely a big one to also focus on, but it goes to show you like Ripple has been tapped in in Australia for a very long time. So, these uh new updates around like, you know, Ripple securing an Australian financial services license. Like that's not a big surprise to me at all because it goes back to even like the UK and the EU like Ripple has been dominating in those regions for a very long time. They have major headquarters in those areas as well. Um, they have a lot of employees that have been going to major meetings, conferences in those areas, too. So, it makes a lot of sense for them to get that, you know, full-on approval and really kind of focus on expanding in that region as well. And Australia is, well, no different. Now, also, I think that this goes handin-hand with some of these regions really advancing their rectory, you know, moves as well around crypto. Like for an example, back on May 20th, just recently, Australia moved towards tokenized assets within months.
So, Australia could see tokenized ETFs or commodity indexes launched within months as digital asset firms race to position themselves within the country's emerging crypto regulatory framework following project acacia. And yeah, I mean, projectacia is a huge one to really kind of look at because it did provide Australia with clear confirmation of just how disruptive this technology actually is and what's possible using it as well. And of course, yeah, the approaches are a bit different than what the US is doing with regulations. But I still think that Australia is going to move pretty quickly on this to kind of compete. Uh even on April 1st of this year, you know, we did see Australia pass their first landmark crypto law which was mandating licensing for uh exchanges and custodians. That was another big move to really kind of clear up a lot of confusion and really kind of provide some clarity to those big players. But then also on top of that um we know that Ripple like if we are really looking at like projectacia and a few other things like we know that ripple has always believed that Australia could be completely transformed through blockchain technology. uh we go back to like on demand liquidity ripple net which is now Ripple payments and you know on demand liquidity still is just a part of Ripple payments with XRP but when we think about what Ripple has stated within some of these regions like they are 100% committed to tapping into the Australian market um and now with you know Australia really kind of advancing regulations and really kind of moving towards tokenization I do think that we'll probably start to see some pretty big announcements from Australia with specific names like even, you know, Ripple with the XRP ledger. Um, we know Hyera has been a big name in Australia since going all the way back as like 2021. I mean, 2021 was definitely a huge year for Hyera in Australia. Um, and even now, there's still really well, I would say, deep involved within Australia still uh to this day. But, you know, we just look at what's happening and then we focus on the RBA with Project Acacia. And big shout out to Smoke Dog for this. We do have Justin.
Australia's RBA deploys wholesale CBDC directly onto the XRP ledger and Hyera networks in Project Acasacia. The Reserve Bank of Australia just ran real money on both the XRP ledger and Hyera.
This is a massive development because Project Acasacia is a hands-on research program ran by Australia's central bank, the RBA, and industry partners. They issued small amounts of real pilot wholesale central bank digital currency wrap CBDC's um and used it to settle live trades of tokenized assets such as bonds and other financial instruments on multiple blockchain networks. The goal was to test what actually works when digital central bank money sits alongside private money and tokenized assets in wholesale markets. In these tests, the XRP ledger powered to complete end-to-end permission bond life cycles with JP Morgan custody and included uh redemptions settled settled in ROUSD. Hyera delivered both its public network and private hashspear ledger for critical interchange services on tokenized private money. Public ISO 2022 compliant blockchains just passed a central bank test in Australia's wholesale markets. XRP and HAR are both entering the plumbing of Australia's wholesale markets straight from the official May 2026 final report fully documented below. And this is why I wanted to bring up a lot of those connections back to Australia and what Australia is doing with major advancements on rectory, you know, moves because when we look at all of these connections, yes, they are very very significant connections. Um, especially when you look at the facts here because you know obviously Australia is ready for digital tokenized markets. Um, and Hyera and the XRP ledger are definitely two of the networks tapped in here.
Redbelly network is another one.
Ethereum as well. Canvas is another one.
Um, but we really look at Hideera and XRP and what was utilized here. Uh, in terms of like the tech stack and you know how they use them. We do have some of the use case landscapes down here. We have the token interchange service which is the wholesale CDC's and stable coins through AP plus. Then on the right side you have the DT networks used. We could see them. Um and then also we do have under the Australian payments plus uh this is where Hyera really was utilized in a big way Australian payments plus by the way uh they have been working with Hideera since going as far back as like 2021. They kind of got rebranded uh during that time but they're still a main player uh around the Hideera ecosystem. And then also with you know ROSD and the XRP ledger zero cap which was the government bond. Uh this was piloted the end toend life cycle of an Australian government bond tokenized as a digital twin issued onto a public permission network. The use case explored primary issuance and secondary trading and redemption using a central limit order book combined with an automated market maker with settlement in ROUSD stablecoin. DT network used in the use case obviously the XRP ledger and we do have collaborating parties involved in the use case B pay uh FX BGC brokers the bond was held in custody via the broker at JP Morgan Chain Link Labs Fireblocks Ripple Labs uh Storm Rake and also VBS exchange party but yeah this is very very exciting stuff to see uh obviously like I said like if we really look at what's happening here um this is a clear confirmation that Ripple was specifically tapped into the plumbing of of Australia's wholesale markets with XRP and even ROUSD. And yes, Hideera is also a big player here. Um, for those that, you know, haven't been following Hyera, I definitely think that people should be paying attention more to what Hideera is doing. Um, obviously HR is extremely undervalued in my opinion. Um it will definitely be a main leader especially as we do kind of focus more on utility and what's happening with you know the utility networks in this space as well like adoption is only going to continue to happen especially as we do get closer to regulations. Um but Australia is ready. Australia has been ready for a while. Um and it seems though Ripple is ready for Australia to get ready because Ripple has been working with them for years and years and years through major players in Australia. Uh but also, you know, we now have confirmation that Ripple was, you know, directly tied back to this project, which is now starting to really kind of be utilized as an example for Australia to move forward with tokenization of specific assets and really kind of tapping into digital assets as well. These projects accelerate the adoption of this technology. And I do believe that considering the fact that this project did include Hyera and even the XRP ledger and yeah, sure, there's a few other networks there too. Um, I think that this tells us everything that we need to know about, you know, what Australia is going to do with specific networks and, you know, XRP is a clear winner.
