Women's experiences are deeply layered and complex, encompassing love, anger, tenderness, exhaustion, resilience, and joy simultaneously, and cannot be reduced to a single role, emotion, or definition; when women are portrayed as full, complex individuals in media and culture, society gains access to the complete spectrum of their humanity, which is essential for authentic representation and understanding.

Women Are Not One Story - They Are Entire Worlds of Experience #womenvoices #representationmattersAdded:
And I love women.
My experience of being a woman and of the women in my life and of the mothers in my life has been one of awe and mystery and deep curiosity and constantly wanting to bring the complexities of what it is in my experience as a woman and the women I see around me to the surface. I want the full story.
And this was something that held the container for the full story in a great love. It wasn't either/or. It was like how how much of, you know, that great line in Joni Mitchell song, "I could drink a case of you and still be on my feet." And this was that kind of relationship and love. And a relationship not just within a marital relationship and a family, but something that went beyond their relationship and inspired the world to feel the totality of what it is to be human.
And um my job in getting to know who this woman was was to just become a little bit more human and a little braver and allow all of that to be seen in my relationships in the film.
