scaling in vs. DCA

[00:00:00]I want to talk about this a little bit.

[00:00:03]The the DCA stuff is important.

[00:00:05]Um All right, there's a difference between just buying more to eventually get positive on your entry because you have a hope and a dream that price can come back to save you and using your position size. So like and somebody asked me why I'm in this trade. So I'll tell this is the whole the whole reason. I've been buying this spot because it's gone cuz it's reset now, but there was a really large passive bid right here um that [clears throat] was absorbing a lot of selling. This is the OR mid.

[00:00:37]Um ES was in a good location to bounce. I'm trying to get these gaps to fill, but mostly at this point I'm just scalping off of um bullish order flow cuz I'm bullish on on this part of the day on NQ.

[00:00:50]Um I got in here. I got some off and then I got stopped out.

[00:00:56]Then I came over here. I bought some.

[00:00:59]I got stopped out. And then I bought them again. Now I bought four at 247 and then I bought four more at 241. When I did this my stop loss that was initially started 15 points from 247, it I have it set so that it does not move. So when I added more size, my stop loss stayed in the same place.

[00:01:23]I've since put it at 227, but this is just using it it's okay to get in slowly. It's okay to buy more if you're down a little bit if your idea is still valid, but it is not a good idea long term to just buy more and hope because the market is not a place for hope.
