While the video effectively exposes the asymmetrical scrutiny women face in the public eye, it tends to flatten complex social dynamics into a singular narrative of systemic malice. It is a poignant but somewhat reductive critique of how digital culture weaponizes morality against women.

society is ADDICTED to humiliating womenAñadido:
One thing that's been extremely radicalizing in hindsight is seeing that in public disputes between a man and a woman, for example, the Johnny Depp Amber Heard case, there is usually such a clear path to giving the woman the benefit of the doubt. And yet, nobody ever does. And I promise I'll explain what that means in a second. Whereas on the other side of that with a man, you have to literally jump through every possible hoop to ignore the things he's done in the past that in fact make it very likely and believable that he was guilty of the thing that's being disputed as well. And like in so many cases, it is just so clear like when people were literally trying to discredit Cassie versus P. Diddy. When people try to discredit Megan the Stallion versus Tory Lanes, when people try to discredit Amber Herd versus Johnny Depp, Rihanna versus Chris Brown, all the men that I just named have had a problematic history. When you think about just like pattern of behavior, does this fit each person's respectively pattern of behavior? It never does. Like the things that we want to do as a society, they never fit the people's pattern of behavior. Like the way that people immediately sanctified Johnny Depp, they immedified.
He literally became the internet's patron saint of men's domestic violence issues when the whole case wasn't even about domestic violence, right? But he became this patron saint of domestic violence against men when in the past he has been the only one to perpetrate violence against other people. He had a nightclub where like a whole bunch of [ __ ] went down and where it is said he has so much blackmail on literally everyone in Hollywood that that's why people were like supporting him and like not speaking out against him. Yes.
Sounds like exactly the type of guy that would be abusive, controlling, manipulative, etc. He had anger outbursts at paparazzi. He talked openly about wanting to unalive people, about wanting to beat people within inches of their life. He exchanged text messages that were used as evidence in that trial with his friend Paul Bettney and they were talking about unaliving and drowning Amber Heard and then doing unspeakable things to her corpse. And people still were like, "No, it was that [ __ ] It was that lying, manipulative, narcissistic [ __ ] Amber Heard."
Really? Like we know for a fact that she's a lying, narcissistic, manipulative [ __ ] Really? Based on what pattern? And the pattern is she was a young woman in Hollywood who had starred in like several productions, was largely unproatic, and really the big like turn that her life took was after she married this man that was like old enough to be her father. And then she dared to speak up about it. and everyone immediately gave him the benefit of the doubt, despite his previous track record despite his previous problematic behavior. The mental gymnastics that people would have had to do to literally be like, "No, Johnny Depp is like a really good guy." Like, we have no evidence of that actually. He just played like a funny character that you liked in a movie. You don't know that he's a good guy. In fact, again, every piece of evidence you have so far is like he's largely not a good guy. We really had no evidence that Johnny Depp was ever a good person. And yet we claimed that he was a good person and that a bad thing happened to him that he didn't perpetrate. With Amber Heard, we had absolutely no evidence that she's a bad person other than again perhaps some whisperings of like an unlikable woman on set. But as women, we should know what it takes to be labeled an unlikable woman. And it's like every single time I think we're gonna learn from it and we just never do, right? Because then the Blake Lively case we're doing we were doing it all over again, right? Taylor Frankie Paul, we were doing it all over again. The Amber Herd, Johnny Depp trial took place after the Megan Tori situation. Then we had the Blake Lively situation. We're constantly like maligning women for no good reason.
There have definitely been whisperings of Blake Lively being unlikable or a [ __ ] or something like that, but she had concrete evidence that this man sexually harassed her on set. She had text messages, she had conversations, she had they had to hold a meeting about it with the entire crew, production, char, everything like that. And the only reason she lost her lawsuit is because turns out she worked on that movie as an independent contractor. and independent contractors don't have protections against SA and SH. So that was on a technicality. It's not that there wasn't enough evidence. It's that the abuse did not fall under a protected category where it's actually considered abuse.
And yet people will still un alive on the hill of she was wrong, Justin Baldoni is a saint, da da, even though again we have concrete evidence that shows otherwise. anytime it comes to like women on reality TV shows, right?
It's always that we will bend over backwards to be like, "No, like I knew it." The moment a woman is like not perfectly nice to a man, it's like she's abusing him, she's a narcissist, she's a witch, etc. But when it comes to men doing the same exact things on those shows, we go out of our way to justify their actions. Like, we'll know he must know something we don't. people will be like, "Well, he did say that his grandma died like 12 years ago, so like I just don't see him doing something like that." And especially in cases where women actually do make mistakes or like have some sort of a bad track record or whatever, like if women have ever been known to be problematic like Huda, Taylor, Frankie, Paul, like people will actually cheer for their demise. like people will actually cheer to have them like publicly humiliated, cancelled, embarrassed, like executed. I mean, I'm just saying like the level of vitriol rises to like a tsunami level event, you know, and then it's so hard to back up off of it. And at the same time, because it takes people so long to jump on a hate train against a man, men have the reverse effect where literally they could be a MAGA Trump supporter, racist in their past, and I'm looking at Nick from Love Island season 7. Like, sorry, sorry, not sorry. But I am I'm looking at him because nobody nobody is going to come out and like talk about that until he does something that is cancelellable beyond that. His counterpart he was dating on the show, Sierra got sent home for basically the same thing. She got sent home because people literally would not leave the show, the production, whatever alone. But Nick can't get cancelled for being an actively registered Republican, for saying slurs.
He's on top of the world. It's going to take a lot more than that to ever discredit a man for him to ever become hated in the public eye. And honestly, even if it does come down to that and all of that information is like exposed and people care for some reason, they'll still write it off. They'll be like, "Well, he was in high school. Well, he was in college." Like we all did crazy things in college and fine if we do that, but I just wish we would do the same to women. Like I just wish that there wasn't such a big gap in what is considered bad character for a woman versus the amount of evidence that it would take for us to ever believe that a beloved man actually is a man of really bad character. Whereas with women, it just it takes so so little. It just takes one wrong move on their part and we're jumping down their throat and we're jumping down the throat of everybody involved to like help us tear her down. I think that's [ __ ] awful if I'm being honest. And it's just one of the things that continues to radicalize me over and over and over and over and over. And some of y'all will still not get it. Especially if you're a woman who is prone to taking men's sides and things like this, you really need to examine your internalized misogyny.
Because honestly, behavior like that is just you stepping on the rake of misogyny and then wondering why the world hates women. We're way too excited as a society to hold women accountable for the bare minimum. And we're way too willing as a society to bend over backwards and pretend like we don't see any of men's like actual past crimes that make it very clear that they could be the guilty party in a he said she said situation if we're looking at patterns of behavior. And what sucks is a lot of people have figured this out and have continued to further weaponize it against all women, like these PR firms, like these men's lawyers, like these agencies, like these bot farms that you can pay to sit there and start a online hate campaign against women.
I'm even thinking of things like the Chapel Rowan situation where that man who lieled her, that man who spread like literal lies about her, he didn't verify anything. He didn't like try and get in touch with anyone. He just straight up went out there and lied like wrote a whole a whole post about how awful of a person she was. And instead of giving her the benefit of the doubt, you know, like they would a man. If this was a man, we would have all said, "Well, why the [ __ ] was your child bothering him while he was on vacation or whatever, while he was just trying to eat somewhere? Why the [ __ ] did you think it was okay?" Right? But it was a woman, so of course it was okay to bother her. She was just wrong to respond to that in any way, right? So she was held accountable and she was like widely like demonized all over the internet. A lot of people were like, "I knew it. Something just seemed off about her." And that's how I know it's misogyny is because a lot of y'all will be like, "Oh, it was those beady eyes. It was this. It was that. I knew it. It's the way her mouth moved.
It's the way that her eyes are crazy and like blah blah blah." Y'all are insane.
Y'all are [ __ ] weirdos for that, by the way. People just look different.
That's okay. And like, not only is that misogyny, it's also ableism cuz people can look different. And just because somebody has unconventional features or features that you consider ugly, that's really [ __ ] up to say that their features have anything to do with their character. Very beautiful people also can have a really bad character. People that don't have beady eyes or like a weird mouth can also be bad people. And it would behoove you to know that and not just to tie things like aesthetically to one another cuz that's [ __ ] stupid. Okay, but that's how I know it's misogyny. And Chapel Ran got roasted all over the internet. Everyone was like, "I knew it. She seemed like a [ __ ] She's so horrible." Blah blah blah blah blah. Um, but then no one held the man accountable for spreading major misinformation about a woman resulting in a hate campaign. Literally nothing happened to him. So yeah, I don't know.
Y'all stay safe out there cuz I hate it here. I really, really do. Godspeed. I love you.
