Oh, yeah.
And the reason why I'm going to read out of this book because right now a lot of YouTubers, especially YouTubers in the travel space, I know that's who I follow a lot is the people in the travel space. And I know that we're going through a a trying time right time trying times right now with views and everything. So I just want to try to give them some motivation.
And you know, remind them what we what we're doing this for.
And you know, just stick stick stick to the fight when hard is hit, you keep pushing. You don't give up, you keep pushing. And we'll figure out what's going on. And I'm sure 100,000% you guys can quote me on this, things will get better on YouTube. YouTube knows their worth. YouTube knows the content creator worth. And they will fix whatever the situation is going on eventually, you know.
When you a company you got to try different new new techniques, new new styles and new ways of doing things. But at the end of the day they will fix it and everything will work out. I'm 100% sure of that.
So today let's get into it.
And we going to read some different parts out of my book right here, man. I wrote this book about Hold on, let me scratch my eyes. Oh, man.
I wasn't crying. I wasn't crying now. I I crying.
I this book about uh 2 years ago, year and a half ago, 2 years I think 2 years ago to be exact.
It's on Amazon. If you go to Amazon, you can go purchase the book.
But, let's talk about the book. Let's read some different parts of the book. And also shout out to my boy uh Master Wayne. He's the one that gave me the idea about writing books on Amazon.
So, shout out to Master Wayne.
So, let's get into it. Oh, and most important, shout out to Jesus Christ. Without him, none of this would be possible. None of this would be possible.
None of this would be possible.
None of this would be possible.
So, without no further ado, to do, we will get into it.
Let's talk about it. Let's read it. And let's discuss it.
Let's go, champ.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you to all the people [music and singing] who ride with the Philly Don movement through the highs and [singing] the falls. You stayed through it all, kept me moving. I couldn't do it alone.
>> [music and singing] >> You lifted me when I was losing. So, this one's for you.
Okay, guys, there's something else I forgot to tell you.
I'm at the bus station, the TBS bus station in uh Kuala Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I got to keep saying Malaysia cuz a lot of people don't know Malaysia.
This is Southeast Asia, just in case you guys are Where is that at, Philly?
And you know, I'm at a bus station. It's a big bus terminal. There's a lot going on.
But, I'm sleeping here tonight at the capsule hotel.
And I'm just I'm not tired yet, so I want to instead of just sleeping in the capsule, I want to do stuff, so we're going to get into the book right now. Never done before. Never did this before. Never done Never did this before.
And um we're going to start with chapter one.
And I'm going to pick, you know, different paragraphs and different different paragraphs throughout the uh different chapters. I'll let you know what chapter I'm on, and I'll pick different paragraphs and we'll talk about it, okay?
So, I hope you enjoy this. This is something different. Never been done before. I know somebody told me on the channel, "Yo, Philly Dawn, that'd be cool if you could do an audio book on your books with your own voice."
Well, here you We We're here you have it in the flesh, Philly Dawn, reading his own on YouTube.
Just parts of it. Now, you got to go buy the book if you want to catch the whole story and see what I'm talking about and see what Philly Dawn is about.
Okay, and once again, the name of the book is Unfiltered Behind the Scenes of YouTube. Bam.
Okay, I'm flipping through the pages.
Oh, snap, Philly Dawn can read.
Okay, now we're going to uh chapter number one. This is chapter number one.
And it reads like this.
The title of the chapter is Is creating a YouTube channel still a profitable venture?
Can I make money from it?
Now, there's a long-form answer and there's a short form answer for this.
Let me give you the short form answer.
And if you want my book, you can go get my book on Amazon and you can get the long form answer. Or we just going to go to different parts of the book.
This is what I said.
Let me read what I said so you can get it. Make sure you understand it. There's going to be people walking by. There's going to be noise in the background. So, just get comfortable, get your popcorn, and just relax. It's going to be a good time.
Okay, we're on chapter one.
It is creating a YouTube channel still a profitable venture.
Can I make money from it?
This is Philly Dawg's answer.
The short version.
You got to buy a book for the long version, like I said before.
Yes, earning significant amount of money from a successful YouTube channel is possible.
YouTube offers um various ways for creators to monetize their content.
Such as through advertisements, sponsorships, merchandise, and affiliate marketing.
As well as some other ways that I'm not going to let you guys know. You got to Some stuff you have I said some stuff you got to learn on your own.
You got to figure it out on your own.
Some stuff you got to figure out on your own. There's other ways besides a couple ways I just named right there.
Message.
Or the picture the potential earnings from a YouTube channel can vary greatly depending on factors such as your niche. I'm travel niche.
I'm a uh, controversial video niche. You know, when I did videos like about the migrant crisis, stuff like that.
The number of subscribers and views.
Also, it has something to do with the number of subscribers and views, and the quality of your content.
Also, I'mma keep it real with you.
You could have the subscriber count, you could have the view count, you could have the right niche, you could have the quality content, but there's another thing called faith and, um, blessings from a higher power above that is that final factor. Cuz some people have all the right pieces in order for their for their content and still fall short.
And I know a lot of content creators know what I'm talking about.
Okay, now, uh, some YouTubers have become millionaires through their channels. Yes, that's that's that's been true.
While others may only make a moderate income.
Ultimately, whether or not the money is worth it to open a YouTube channel depends on the individual goals, dedication, and ability to create engaging content consistently.
That word consistently consistently is very important. Consistently, consistently, consistency, consistency, consistency, consistency. That's how my channel was built. It was built on consistency.
Even when my views were low, even when my subscriber count was low, even though I still have a long way to go, I kept pushing, I kept grinding. You have to be consistent in the good times as well as in the bad times.
Now, you know, anyone with an internet connect can sign up for a YouTube channel and begin sharing content.
But, the path to a successful channel is challenging, yet highly rewarding.
Working as a travel YouTuber has been my best job ever. My best job ever.
I can make my own schedule.
I go wherever I want and I work with no boss to answer to.
I create content focusing on like cultural experiences uh such as food culture of wherever I'm at.
Right now, I'm in Malaysia.
The lifestyle and culture of Malaysia.
Uh dating cuz people want to know can they they get a girlfriend or boyfriend or husband or wife.
And um related customs and the places I visit.
One of the critical advantages of having a YouTube channel of any kind is having having a strong personality. That's what I believe.
And you have to be able to person person that you have to have you have to be able to have perseverance and um diligence and you need the perseverance and you need diligence diligence.
are most unnecessary.
A personality gives people a reason to stay and return to guess what?
Your your content.
It also allows viewers to discover something new on each visit. Like right now. Look what I'm doing. I've never read my books on my channel.
At least not in this depth.
So, we're going to keep going. We're going to keep going. We're still on the chapter one.
Now, this is how you know remind content creators why we're doing this. Well, I see a lot of content creators putting out videos now, you know, stressing about the YouTube situation.
Now, most YouTubers fall short and um consistently uploading videos because they need more resources, time and dedication to create and post new content regularly.
While some excel at managing their workflow and finding creative ways to stay relevant in their genre or niche, many have to take on multiple roles in the production process.
They can't They cannot dedicate They cannot dedicate the time they need to produce high-quality content. So, hey, that sounds like me.
Okay, guys, when I when I when I wrote this book, the book we got right now, when I wrote this book right here, my YouTube channel had over 123k subscribers and uh 55 million views plus 55 million plus views, which I have achieved after a long and difficult journey.
I have the pleasure of running a travel channel. It's crazy to go back and read your own stuff. I have the pleasure of running a travel YouTube channel named Philly Daim. Look at my hat, Philly Daim, which I started in the late 2018.
I was inspired to create this channel after becoming friends with a famous fellow travel YouTuber by the name of I am Mayowa. Shout out to King of Africa.
I offered to help him get around Tijuana, Mexico cuz I had a place down there for years and years and years. If you guys don't know, I've been traveling before I've been traveling, if that makes sense.
When I put on the camera, it wasn't the first time I traveled. I've been doing this for a long time, guys. I've been doing this for a long time. When I mean a long time, I've been doing this for a long time. I've been traveling my whole life.
And he suggested I also start recording videos.
Since then, I have gone through Central America, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Alaska, Mexico, Haiti, Cambodia, El Salvador, Belize, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Panama, Colombia, Canada, I mean, I can keep going, man. The list is long, man. The list is long. I can keep going.
But let's be honest.
Making money and realizing documenting was a valuable career path for me. So, I realized, you know, making money and documenting my travels was a ideal career path for me.
Uh we got anything else to say?
Let's see. Let's see. We're still on chapter one.
Uh let me go to chapter three.
Chapter three says, uh "Stand up takes a lot of time and effort to build your YouTube channel.
Take that in.
Take that for a minute. Take that in.
Staying motivated takes a lot of time and effort to build a YouTube channel.
Let's get into it in a minute. But I'm going to say it one more time.
Staying motivated takes a lot of time and effort to build a YouTube channel. Let that sink in.
BROKE CONTENT CREATOR. STILL MOVING SMART, moving greater.
