Retailers often run preseason sales during off-peak periods (such as July-August for hunting seasons) to offer discounts on inventory, encouraging customers to purchase early rather than waiting for peak season when prices may be higher; these sales typically feature percentage discounts on specific product categories (e.g., 15% off archery equipment, 20-25% off clothing) and may be extended to 7 days when inventory levels are sufficient.

Oh, lord. Here it is, a gorgeous, beautiful day, and I'm making YouTube videos, which I'll probably still shoot here in a little bit, if I'm being honest. So, every year, typically during about the month of July, August, and then, of course, stereotypical hunters coming in the week before or week of uh opening weekend for archery, they're complaining about, "Man, this costs a whole lot. This is a lot of money."
Yeah, well, that's because you didn't see this video. So, we always run a preseason sale about this time of year, and it's always dictated based on how much inventory we have. And when we have a pretty good selection right now, if I'm being honest, more than we typically have this time of year. We're not overstocked by any means, but we are stocked up enough to offer you guys a 7-day sale that we've never done before.
Now, when I say we've never done a sale like this before, what I mean is typically we do a 2-to-3-day sale, and that's it. Well, this time we are doing a 7-day preseason sale, and let me tell you why. The reason why is because we want to give you guys and gals the opportunity to plan to come to the shop so that you can get the best deals possible, because the deals in the shop are no holds barred. There's no restrictions. We can discount whatever we want, and we have discounted everything archery-wise and everything clothing-wise in our shop. Now, with that being said, the vast majority of what we offer we can discount on our website, and I hope you check it out, feathersandantlersoutdoors.com.
Uh the sale is going to start this coming Monday, the 18th, at 8:00 a.m.
That's going to be the online portion.
The in-store portion is going to start when we open the doors at 10:00 a.m., and it's going to run all the way to the following Sunday, the 24th, until we close the door. Everything clothing we sell, casualwear and camo-wise, is going to be 20 to 25% off. Everything we sell archery-wise that we can discount and sell on our website is going to be 15% off. Now, once again, it's all going to be 15% off in the store as soon as you walk in the door. I say that like it's not going to be on sale before you walk through the door.
Arrows, releases, bows, broadheads, jigs, I mean, anything we have in front of or behind that archery counter is going to be 15% off at the register.
And once again, we've never done a sale that's extended longer than 3 days. So, I'm very curious to see how many of y'all make the effort to come on down.
Uh bring the wife, bring the kids, bring bring the family.
Uh if your wife and kids don't want to come, grab a couple buddies, they'll ride with you, and come down, shoot some bows, try out some stuff that you've never tried before, and uh get ready to see one heck of a good selection if we're being honest. So, another reason we really like to do these sales is to offer you guys a discount before the busy season because we know a lot of y'all really do appreciate the discounts, and we appreciate y'all getting ready before the busy season gets here. So, we want to have have the opportunity to give back to everybody that's kept up with us through social media, who are locals, online website, the whole 10 yd. And yes, I said 10 yd.
I always do. I know it's incorrect, but I'm going to keep saying it cuz it's a free country. So, once again, hope to see you boys and gals this coming week.
Once again, that is the 18th of May on Monday. The online portion starts at 8:00 a.m. Doors open at 10:00. We usually close around 8:00, 8:30. It's going to run till Sunday the 24th, when we close at 7:00 p.m. that day. So, there you have it. If you're complaining about paying full price for something and wanted a discount, you should have seen this video, and you should have bought it during next week. All right.
Now, nobody has an excuse about paying full price as the season gets closer.
