Thorne’s satirical deconstruction masterfully exposes the logical incoherence and moral cruelty inherent in Rapture theology. It is a sharp reminder that fundamentalist certainty often requires the total abandonment of both critical reason and human empathy.

Roleplaying the Rapture 📼 Have You Been Left Behind?Added:
Dear God, >> I admit that I am a sinner.
>> God wants to forgive your sins and assure you of heaven.
>> Feel like if that was true, he could have gone about it in ways other than seven years of trials and tribulation.
This doesn't seem very loving.
>> Perhaps you simply didn't take the time to examine the claims of Christ for yourself.
>> I know a few ex-Christians who who might like a word.
>> For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, >> do you think Paul was trying to hit a word count or something? Going to get my son, who is me, to tell everyone that the rapture is imminent and they best live their lives, right? But it's just a prank, bro. Actually, I'm going to wait thousands and thousands of years. In fact, you know what? Might let the heat death of the universe take care of it.
Pee peoo poo poo poo. Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card. Shout out to my Arthur fans in the audience. Why don't we just give up on these cursed religious VHS tapes and watch some Arthur? That programming had a good moral foundation. Anyway, hello lovely people. My name is Emma. Welcome back to my channel and welcome if you are new.
Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, Emma, all I want from this life, all I want in the world is to roleplay being in my favorite religious book/mov series, Left Behind. Boy, do I have good news for you. Most people will be familiar with Left Behind as the iconic apocalyptic Christian thriller movie series starring, you guessed it, that's right, Kurt Cameron. It's like 50/50 chance to get it right if you just guess that Kurt Cameron has been in the big Christian movie. Can't keep the man out. It's actually based on a series of books. The premise is pretty self-explanatory. The Rapture Happens and we take a look at who and what is left behind. But before the iconic 2000's Kirk Cameron series, there was a 1999 short film released on VHS based on an early passage in the first book. It's delivered by a reverend speaking directly to the people who have been left behind so that you too can feel like you were not taken up to be in heaven with God. Hooray. I haven't read the books and I haven't yet seen this short, but I got to imagine that this is some classic Christian fearongering.
It's hard to imagine Christian media about failing to be taken up in the rapture that doesn't have the purpose of just frightening probably children into praying to Jesus every night or whatever. So, I'm really excited.
There's nothing like good old evangelical media to remind you that it's so important to see a story from all sides. That's why I'm so pleased to tell you that today's video is sponsored by Ground News. Gran News gathers related articles on a story from all around the world so you can compare and contrast how different outlets report on it. Here's a story I thought you'd be interested in that came up for me this week. Lawsuit accuses agriculture secretary of religious coercion in staff emails. So we have 20 new sources, a fairly even bias distribution. You can see the factuality rating, the ownership of the sources. And this is a terrific way to compare how left, right, and centerleaning sources maybe show their bias in, for example, the headlines, such as this Fox News headline. Federal employees accuse USDA secretary of Christian proilitizing in holiday emails to staff. It specifically refers to religious messages on holidays. It's pretty clear who the bad guy's going to be from Fox News's perspective. Whereas Houston Public Media, which seems to be a highfactuality left-leaning source, the intro to this article reminds us that Rollins is uh a Trump cabinet member from Texas. No specific mention of Christianity. It's a bit more by the book on the law. If you go to ground.news/thornne, you can get 40% off unlimited access to the Vantage plan. Hello, my name is Vernon Billings and I'm pastor of the New Hope Village Church in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
As you watch this tape, I can only imagine the fear and the despair that you face.
>> Actually, man, I'm really excited. I'm just in a good mood, to be honest.
Sorry. Sorry. We're meant to be roleplaying here. We got to get into the right mindset, folks. Imagine you wake up one day and you're surrounded by just piles of clothes, dogs on leads, whining sadly. Actually, no. All dogs go to heaven, so the dogs are all gone.
That'll probably be the first thing you notice. Oh my god. Yeah, actually I'm starting to get some of the fear and sadness >> for this is being recorded for viewing only after the disappearance of God's people from the earth. The fact that you were watching indicates that you have been left behind.
You are no doubt stunned, shocked, afraid, and remorseful, even devastated about what's happened. I'd like you to consider what I have to say here as instructions for life following Christ's rapture of his church. For you see, that's exactly what's happened.
>> This is the kind of thing that you could write another great story about. In many, many years time, the Left Behind movies and books have been forgotten, and somebody discovers this tape and the occult forms that believes that the rapture really has already occurred and takes these instructions seriously. Oh, what a great story idea. It's very meta and it's mine. You can't have it. I'm writing it right now. Anyone you know or I should say knew of who placed his or her trust in Christ alone for salvation has been taken to heaven.
>> All of them.
Even the [ __ ] ones.
>> Let me show you from the Bible.
>> I love the idea of a multi- camera setup for this. The rapture has occurred instructional video. That's exactly what happened.
Let me show you. Of course, you're not going to need this proof by now because you've already experienced the single most shocking event of history. But as this tape was made beforehand, and I'm confident that I will be gone, you're probably asking yourself, "How did he know?"
>> First of all, smug. Okay, nobody likes that attitude. Okay, I have been led to believe that pride is a sin. Second, forgive me if this is a little dark, but I'm kind of getting a heaven's gate vibe from this pastor. like I know that the rapture is going to happen. I've sold my house, donated the proceeds to my church, and I am now making preparations for the next stage.
>> Well, here's how from God's word in 1 Corinthians 15:es 51-57.
Let me read to you what the great missionary evangelist, the Apostle Paul, wrote to the Christians at the church in the city of Corinth. Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible has put on incorruption and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that's written, "Death is swallowed up in victory." Oh death, where is your sting? Oh, Hades, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
>> Do you think Paul was trying to hit a word count or something? the corruption must put on incorruption and the mortal must become immortal. So so when the corruption has uh become incorruption and the mortal has uh I do feel like that was meant to happen quite a long time ago though. I do feel like we're about 2,000 years overdue for the rapture of the end times and uh people have been worried about it ever since.
Feels kind of harsh of God to do that actually. gonna get my son, who is me, to tell everyone that the rapture is imminent and they best live their lives right. But it's just a prank, bro.
Actually, I'm gonna wait thousands and thousands of years. In fact, you know what? Might let the heat death of the universe take care of it. Hopefully, the pastor goes into more detail for us cuz we don't really talk about the zombie parts of the Bible enough. Zombie fiction is huge. Did you see The Last of Us? Why aren't more preachers getting in on that?
>> Let me paraphrase some of this for you so you'll be able to understand it more clearly. Wow. Listen, this Bible passage is pretty long, and I know most of you don't read it, so let me explain it in simpler terms for you. How dare you.
I'll have you know I own a Trump Bible.
That's not a joke. I I really do.
Someone sent it to me. I didn't buy this. It has the American Pledge of Allegiance at the back and then some notepages of the Statue of Liberty.
>> When Paul says that we shall not all sleep, he means we shall not all die.
>> Yeah. See, that is one of those things that makes me think that the rapture was meant to happen a while ago. Cuz that is not the only reference to the fact that Jesus was supposed to come back. The end was supposed to happen during those people's lifetimes. Um, but they did all die. They did die. It was 2,000 years ago. See, when I think about that, it makes it sound like Paul was wrong. But there's still loads of Christians, so I guess I must just be misunderstanding.
When these things have happened, when the Christians who have already died and those that are still living received their immortal bodies, the rapture of the church will have taken place.
Every person who believed in and accepted the sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ anticipated his coming again for them.
>> Sorry for um beating a dead horse about this, Pastor Vernon, but that was that was supposed to happen 2,000 years ago.
I don't know. I've always been the kind of person that hands in assignments early, never had a late fee. So, I don't know. I just feel like if Jesus was really this cool guy, like 2,000 years is just a bit much to expect us to still be waiting. This also highlights another fundamental problem I have with Christianity, right? The the foundational belief that you need to be a Christian, you know, to receive your immortal body in heaven and be with Jesus and God and whatever for eternity, all that good stuff. It requires you to have faith in this impossible thing that there's no evidence for. And that doesn't highlight a good virtue.
Believing in an impossible thing for which there is no evidence isn't a sign that you're a good person. It's a sign that you've been indoctrinated.
And it feels weird to me that that is the most important thing in this religion. Like a lot of nice Christians, love you. Shout out to my Christian bros. A lot of nice Christians say that the most important thing is being a good person and being good to others. And Jesus left a lot of good messages about that. But actually the most important thing is what the Reverend Vernon is telling us now, which is to believe that Jesus died for our sins, was the son of God, died for our sins, came back to life 3 days later, and then went away again immediately. And and believing in that for no reason isn't logical. And I think most people of faith will accept that because that's the point of faith, right? Is there isn't evidence for it. But it seems so cruel to punish the rest of humanity for not having blind faith, which is just not applying critical thinking skills to this topic. Why would that be God's number one thing? Why would that be the thing that saves your eternal soul? Like that is not a cool God that set up that system. Anyway, that's why we've been left behind. As you see this tape, all those who have already seen the fulfillment of the promise of Christ when he said, "I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, there you may be also."
>> I've got my Trump Bible out, so I guess I'll use that. I prefer my English Standard Version, but since we've got this large print King James, Trump approved King James here, then we might as well use it. Oh, yeah. This is in my father's house.
There are many mansions.
That's classic. Let's also for context sake go to Matthew. It's not that long.
It's just wide. It's just really big print. I keep forgetting it's large print. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, etc., etc. Shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven. He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet.
Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass till all these things have been fulfilled. He also says, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my father only. Then shall two be in the field.
The one shall be taken and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill, the one shall be taken, and the other left." Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord come. Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh. I threw in a couple of extra context passages from Matthew 24 just to really reiterate that we are talking about the rapture and that while Jesus said a couple of times, you don't know exactly when it's going to be. Okay? It's like an offstead inspection. It's like your landlord coming around for an inspection. You don't know exactly when it's going to be, but it's going to be soon. This generation shall not pass till all these things have been fulfilled.
Thank you, Trump Bible. I believe that all such people were literally taken from the earth leaving everything material behind.
And so since you've discovered that millions of people are missing and that babies and children have vanished, you know what I'm saying is true.
>> Oh, interesting. Babies and children have vanished. I'm curious about all the details of this, you know, of of people being taken up because you kind of assume that babies and children probably would just go straight to heaven because they haven't really had the chance to do anything wrong. Their brains are still developing. So, if they do, it's cuz they don't really know better yet. But send them up to heaven. If you believe in baptism and the rapture happens before you've like like the day before your child's baptism is booked, does your baby get left behind? I just have a lot of questions. You know, there's a lot of logistical things that the Bible doesn't really go into. And if you get taken up and your unbaptized baby is left behind, who's going to look Are you relying on the goodwill of your unraured neighbors?
Cuz you can't cuz they haven't been taken up. So, they're like sinful or whatever. It's a nightmare is what I'm saying. You got to get that kid baptized the second it's born just in case the rapture happens. I'm inspiring a new wave of Christian conspiracy theorists.
I just realized >> up to a certain age, which is probably different for each individual, we believe that God will not hold a child accountable for a decision that must be made with a heart and mind fully cognizant of the ramifications.
>> How did you decide that though? Have you declared yourself a new apostle? I feel like for diehard Christians, if Paul didn't say it, then you're just making it up. We believe that it would be mean to do that and God's supposed to be cool. So like the kids are going to be fine. And this brings up another question to me up to a certain age. What age? Like if it's different per child, is that just to do with their maturity levels? If a child has to grow up faster because they, you know, their environment requires them to mature quicker. Does that mean that they lose out on getting raptured? That seems like it could end up being a punishment for being a responsible kid. Is it to do with brain development? because I heard that there was some study recently that said that your brain doesn't fully develop into finished adult brain until you're like 35, which is why I'm still down with the kids. I guess we'll have to take the Reverend's word for it and just hope that it's fine and that God will do the right thing cuz he always does.
>> You may also find that unborn children have disappeared from their mother's wombs.
I can only imagine the pain and the heartache of a world without precious children.
>> Jesus, that's dark. That's so dark.
That's so cruel to those people who thought they were mothers to be. But so Jesus said that you you swap your mortal body for an immortal body. If you're a fetus, is there a different like age of development where the fetus disappears versus not? Because then you have either you have this unborn per this person to be swapping their mortal body which is might just be a bundle of cells at that point with a heartbeat and nowhere near even baby's brain. Do they then have to be that for eternity in their immortal body or do they go up to heaven and Jesus like waves a magic wand and they skip development till they're like three and then they can actually form memories?
Like what? There's so many questions about this that people are just not asking. I want to know the details before I subscribe to this belief system. The alternative then cuz he said like you might find. So either that means he's not sure or it only happens to some of them. And if it only happens to some of them, if some fetuses are still just like definitely fetuses, they're not nearly developed enough to get their own immortal body and therefore they stay and continue growing. when that child is born and they're then a human baby, then they've missed out on the rapture just because they were too young at the time. And that doesn't seem fair either. This is a logistical nightmare. No wonder Jesus hasn't come back. He tried to figure out the logistics of it and he was like, "Fuck this. Just let them all die of natural causes. Just let something's going to happen to the planet eventually. Just let it ride, man. Just let it ride." Paul's prophetic letter to the Corinthians said that this would occur in the twinkling of an eye. You may have seen a loved one standing before you and suddenly they were gone.
And I certainly don't envy you of that shock.
>> The Bible says that men's hearts will fail them for fear. That means to me that there will be heart attacks due to shock.
People will commit suicide in their despair. And you know much better than I the chaos that's resulted from Christians disappearing from various modes of transportation.
>> This is mean. This is mean. And I do have Christian friends that I love very much. But can you imagine an alternate version of this story where instead of the despair and the suicides and the heart attacks, everyone's like, "Way."
I'm not saying that would be good. I'm just saying imagine an alternative reality. Imagine that the type of Christian that thinks that the rapture will happen and will happen like this, that the good loving Christians who just arbitrarily believe in this one event say that they get they believe that they're going to get raptured and everyone else is going to be left behind. They probably think we're the kind of sinners that actually would be like, "Way, now we can party.
Finally, we can turn the rest of the churches into nightclubs and swimming pools." That's a reference to specific uh locations in London, by the way.
Apparently, the swimming pool church is really cool. I need to go and see it at some point. I'd also love Okay, here's another guys. We're getting a lot of creative writing tasks out of this. This is awesome. I'm doing a little creative writing class at the moment. I don't know if you could tell. If that's coming across this story, again, from a different perspective, but from the perspective of a different religion or a little cult or something cuz I was just thinking about the Mythraum, the London Mythraum. What if you're a believer in some weird fringe religion and then all the Christians disappear? How would you react to that? What would that be like?
That'd be so interesting. That'd be so much more interesting than the Left Behind series, don't you think? I kind of do.
>> The loss of firefighters and police officers and emergency workers of all sorts.
>> Am I reading too much into that? Or is that kind of a suggestion that most people that work in public services are Christian? Maybe that's true. In the USA, the drivers would be an issue. I guess that's up to God though, isn't it?
Cuz he could time it. I guess it would change because it would change across time zones, wouldn't it? But I was thinking if he could time it so that the rapture happened like just after the start of the church service so that the Christians aren't driving. That would be a lot safer. Get Jesus on the horn. I'm going to help him with the logistics of this whole mess. Well, in the UK, the percentage of firefighters declaring no religion has overtaken the number of those identifying as Christian. So, that's good for firefighters. Depending on when you're viewing this tape, you have maybe already found out that martial laws in effect in many places with emergency measures trying to keep evil elements from looting and fighting over the spoils of what's left.
>> Ah, see, they do think that we're going to have a bit of a party. The Christians have gone. We're all breaking into the shops to get our hands on those flat screen TVs so that we can watch the news. It's just the zombie apocalypse, isn't it? without the zombies depending on your specific take on Christianity cuz Christianity does have the zombies.
But I don't think they're walking the streets and eating people during the rapture, which is a shame cuz that would be cool.
>> Governments will tumble and there will be international disorder.
>> What about in the countries where there's not very many Christians? It feels like there's a few places in the world that won't really be affected.
Like again, in the US, it's going to be massive. It's going to be a pretty big thing in the UK. I guess the Vatican's just going to go in one fell swoop. So there won't be carnage cuz there won't be anything. Vatican's 100% Christian, right? There'll be like two or three maybe reporters there that are like, "Huh?"
Actually, that's probably the best place to be to know exactly what's happened.
If the rapture is going to happen and it's going to just take every Christian broadly, then Vatican City is where you want to be. But if you're in like Somalia, Afghanistan, uh the Maldes, where there's like a 0.01% of your population is Christian, it's probably fine. And actually, that would make for a really interesting story, wouldn't it? Because the countries that are majority other religions, particularly the ones that discriminate against other religions, you're going to have like Muslim nations suddenly with more power and stability, but with the knowledge that Christians have been raptured. So, how would they react? What would that look like? Oh, it's so interesting.
>> You must be wondering why this has happened. Some people believe that this is the judgment of God on an ungodly world. Actually, that is to come later.
Strange as this may sound to you, this is God's final effort to get the attention of every person.
>> This confuses me a little bit as well.
This is God's like, "Listen, guys, this is your last chance to believe in me and my son who is me and come up to heaven. All right? You're going to go through some real tough times now. And the only way to get through it and get to the other side is to believe in me and my son who's me. So why did he plan it so long ago? Does he, like many Christians say, know everything? Is he omnisient and he knew that we would become too sinful by 1999 and therefore the rapture must happen then? In which case, why did he let it get to then? Did Did he just pick an arbitrary date? Did he genuinely forget about us for 2,000 years? Was the world too sinful back then, but it just like he had other stuff on it? Just to me personally, just personally, my personal opinion, as soon as you try to rationalize the motivations, the thoughts, the ideology of the God that is described many different ways in the Bible, it doesn't make sense. You don't get a consistent character. You don't get somebody with a plan. Does he not know everything and didn't plan everything and he's surprised by how [ __ ] we are and so he's sending a a final test for us to get good or get gone? Or was this part of his plan all along and he just lives for the drama? I think and I have always thought that the God according to the Christian Bible only makes sense if he's playing Earth like either The Sims or like he's the producer of a reality TV show.
Otherwise, as somebody who has all the power, all the love, and knows everything, why is he doing this crap?
For the love of the drama, >> he's allowing now a a vast period of trial and tribulation to come to those who remain. He's removed his church from the corrupt world, a world that seeks its own way, its own pleasures, and its own ends.
>> This also kind of relies on the whole Christian persecution complex thing, right? because um the whole thing is that by the rapture there won't be that many Christians or like they'll be really persecuted because they'll be the minority. But like if you look at the world right now, whether it's in response to current events or what have you, Christianity is on the rise. If there are more Christians and more people going to church, surely God's not going to do a rapture. At what point does God arbitrarily decide that the world is too [ __ ] up while Christians are on the rise? That doesn't make any sense.
Should Christianity be trying to keep it lowkey? Stop their numbers from increasing so that they can bloody get raptured and go to heaven. Doesn't make any sense. I believe that God's purpose in all of this is to allow those who remain to take stock of themselves and to leave their frantic search for pleasure and self-fululfillment and to turn to the Bible for truth.
>> It's also kind of harsh because again a massive massive part of the earth's population is going to be religious people and a massive part of that population are going to be Muslim who do turn to the Bible. They're not passionately, aggressively seeking self-fulfillment. Not that us non-religious people are doing that anyway, but Christian writer, what are you going to do? If the Christians that believe in the rapture are to be believed themselves, then all the Muslims that get left behind might have been very diligently following their Bible and turning to God and praying to God every day. More diligently in many cases than a lot of Christians who have gone up. So what's the deal with that?
just lumping them in with the people that are singing AC/DC. And what else do we do that's wrong? Saying, "Oh my god."
>> Let me encourage you that your loved ones, your children, your infants, your friends, your acquaintances have not been snatched away by some evil force or some invasion from outer space.
That will probably be a common explanation. What sounded ludicrous to you before might sound logical now, but it's not. Well, what sounded ludicrous to me before was that all the Christians will get disappeared away to their immortal life with Jesus. That did sound ludicrous to me before, to be honest.
>> Also, scripture indicates that there will be a great lie announced with the help of the media and perpetrated by a self-styled world leader. Jesus himself prophesied about such a person.
He said, "I have come in my father's name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, him you will receive.
>> Ah, the old antichrist.
Remember when people thought that the antichrist was Obama? If Obama led some kind of one world government post rapture, that'd be okay. I think could be worse.
>> Let me warn you personally to beware of such a leader of humanity who may emerge from Europe.
>> He might even come from Europe. What?
Okay. out to be a great deceiver who will step forward with signs and wonders that will be so impressive that many will believe that he is of God.
>> Well, that sounds like Jesus you're talking about. Didn't Jesus convince loads of people using signs and wonders that he was of God? So, what we're supposed to blindly believe that guy, but not this other guy.
>> Make up your mind, Bible.
>> That was an awful face.
>> He will gain a great following among those who are left. And many will believe that he's a miracle worker. This deceiver will promise strength and peace and security, but the Bible says he will speak out against the most high and will wear down the saints of the most high.
That's why I warn you to beware now of a new leader with great charisma trying to take over the world during this terrible time of chaos and confusion.
This person is known in the Bible as the Antichrist. He will make many promises, but he will not keep them.
>> Sounds like every politician ever. Am I right? How are we supposed to know, though? Like, that literally does sound like every politician ever. Charismatic guy who makes promises for for peace and prosperity. Sounds like a certain world leader that has a lot of power right now, except that he's supposedly a Christian. So, I guess that's fine.
>> You must trust only in the promises of God Almighty through his son, Jesus Christ.
I believe the Bible teaches us that the rapture of the church ushers in a 7-year period of trial and tribulation during which terrible things will happen.
Because you have not received Christ as your savior, your very soul is in jeopardy.
>> Well, I don't think that's fair. The problem for me here is that if the Antichrist came out and said, "Listen, God said that your soul is on the line, just because you didn't believe in this thing that there's no evidence for, just because you have critical thinking, just because you weren't born religious, he's persecuting you. I'm the one that gave you freedom to think for yourselves, I'd be I'd be on Satan's side. I guess I'm signing up for the Antichrist cuz >> and because of the cataclysmic events that will take place during this period, your very life is in danger.
Even if you turn to Christ, you may still have to die as a martyr. The reality is that it doesn't make any difference at this point why you're still on earth. You may have been too selfish or prideful or busy. Or perhaps you simply didn't take the time to examine the claims of Christ for yourself. I know a few ex-Christians who who might like a word. I know a few ex-Christian Bible scholars who might like a word. I'm just saying that some of the time when you take a real deep critical approach to biblical texts, you do not come out the other side with a deep belief in the magic man who died and came back to life and whose hands your soul is in.
>> The point now is you have another chance. Please don't miss it.
The disappearance of the saints and the children, the chaos left behind, and the desparing of the heartbroken are evidence that what I'm saying is true. Pray that God will help you receive his salvation gift right now.
>> Didn't he say that it doesn't matter?
Isn't it supposed to be pointless to pray to God to help you now? He's not going to help you. You said it's seven years of trials and tribulations. The best you could hope for is to die a martyr.
Why are you asking people to pray for God to help when they know that he's not going to? What an [ __ ] What an [ __ ] >> And resist the lies and efforts of the Antichrist who was sure to rise up soon.
Remember, he will deceive many. Don't be counted among them.
Nearly 800 years before Jesus came to earth the first time, Isaiah in the Old Testament prophesied that the kingdoms of nations will be in great conflict and their faces shall be as flames. To me, this portends World War II, a thermonuclear war that will wipe out millions.
>> Okay, I'm glad we know what this fictional reverend thinks that that means.
>> A passage in Isaiah. Let me just have a look.
Can't actually can't quite find it. It's going to be a really annoying bit for people that don't get that reference.
>> Bible prophecy is >> Oh my god, he stood up. Shit's about to get serious. history written in advance.
I urge you to find books on this subject or find people who may have been experts in this area but for whatever reason didn't receive Christ beforehand and who were left behind.
>> Yeah. Again, I think there's going to be plenty of those to go around. I think there's going to be plenty of experts in that area who maybe did receive Christ beforehand and then started studying the Bible really critically and closely and then ceased to be Christian. I don't think we'll have an issue finding an expert.
>> You'll find that government and religion will change and war and inflation will erupt and there will be widespread death and destruction, martyrdom of the saints, and even devastating earthquakes. So, be prepared.
And most importantly, know this. God wants to forgive your sins and assure you of heaven.
>> Feel like if that was true, he could have gone about it in ways other than seven years of trials and tribulation, like actually appearing to people, providing some evidence for his existence. If he really wanted to forgive us in our sins, just seems weird that he'd like make the entire world suffer instead. Doesn't seem very loving. I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. If you accept God's message of salvation, his holy spirit will come into you and make you spiritually born a new. You don't need to understand all this theologically.
You can become a child of God by praying to him right now as I lead.
>> In fact, it's better if you don't examine this theologically. The best thing you can do is have blind faith in what some guy told you one time at church and then you uh your soul is saved. As we have mentioned, investigating for yourself with intellectual honesty often results in a lack of religion.
>> Dear God, >> I admit that I am a sinner >> and I'm sorry for my sins.
>> Not really.
>> Please forgive me and save me. I ask this in the name of Jesus who died for me. I trust in him right now and I believe that the sinless blood of Jesus is sufficient to pay the price for my salvation.
Thank you for hearing me and receiving me. Thank you for saving my soul.
Amen.
>> Amen. The Bible tells us that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved and God will not cast out any who seek him. Indeed, from the beginning of time, God has prepared a place for you in his heaven.
And now, if you are genuine, you are saved, born again, a child of God.
>> Man, it's so easy. You don't have to be a good person. You don't have to do good things. You can have lived the shittiest life ever, the greediest, most selfish life. Hurting other people, not caring about anyone but yourself.
And if you go, "God, I believe in Jesus.
I believe he died for our sins. Help a brother out." Then boom, you're in heaven. Almost almost doesn't seem right. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound.
Not that I don't love looking at footage of a bee on a thistle, but what's this?
Is this the rest of the video? Is it just a really long I can't even speak.
Is it just a really long drawn out rendition of Amazing Grace with footage of trees and plants? Is this to remind us what we lost before the rapture? What the world used to be like? Oh my god, it literally is.
>> I see.
>> I see.
That was That was the end. I love that they committed to the bit. I love that they they committed to the bit of having it by the New Hope Church and having it like presented by this fictional pastor.
Like they really went in on the roleplaying. These guys were really lapping the rapture.
Every Christian needs to keep a copy of this video accessible in his or her home for those left behind. I feel like it wasn't that helpful. I feel like most of us knew that Christians say that if the rapture happens, you need to get saved.
The instructions were like, "Don't fall for the Antichrist.
and pray to God that you believe in Jesus and ask him to save you. I feel like we could have worked out most of that on our own. I I thought it'd be more practical, you know, survival skills, maybe like the kind of goods to prioritize stockpiling. I don't know. It just didn't seem that instructional to me. That is a 17minute video. The last 5 minutes of that is amazing grace to nature footage. Did they have to make it a certain length or did they just really want to use that song or like they promised somebody that they would use their singing or what's going on there?
Well, there you go. That was Have You Been Left Behind? The 1999 VHS tape roleplaying the rapture as written in the Left Behind books. You are now better prepared for when the inevitable end comes. Whenever that's going to be Jesus, we're ready. Do like this video if you enjoyed it. Leave your thoughts down below. Share it with a pal. If you got a buddy that you know is going to be left behind, make sure you send them this video. Do subscribe to this channel so you don't miss future videos. Check out some of my playlists if you're looking for more content. If you love Christian role playing, make sure you check out my gaming channel, Little Duck Gaming, because we are playing the RPG I am Jesus Christ, in which you play as Jesus Christ. And it's really good. It's really good. I heard there was a real-time strategy game of the Left Behind series. If I can find that and play it, that will definitely be on my gaming channel, so you best be subscribing. The best way to support this channel is via the Patreon. With that, I must give a big old thank you and a shout out to my giant chickens and colossal crackers over on Patreon, especially Connor. God damn it, Conna.
You're never going to get raptured behaving like that.
Most importantly, have yourselves a very lovely week and I will see you really soon. How amazing grace, how sweet the sound that save the rich
