I'm declaring Forever War on the World - Civ 6 HungaryAdded:
Hey buddies, Teddy McWisky here and welcome back to Let's Play Civilization 6 as Hungry, where we're trying to conquer the world. I do feel like a domination game is always the longest type of game you can play in Civ 6, mostly because it just requires so many micromanagement actions. Like turns take a lot longer in a domination game. Now, she wants peace. I don't want peace. I want to kill her. It's just like the sheer number of actions that are required to complete a game in Domination is kind of insane because you have so many units to move. It would be good for us to take military research here to be able to get extra science from our militarymies, our seports, and our renaissance walls. So, let's go ahead and plug in military research over vetery. I think that's worth it. I think I'm also going to plug in limes here so that we can get the Renaissance walls, the Renaissance walls uh science too because limes will go obsolete ideology.
I'm going to quickly research opera and ballet for the two envoys. There's no more sort of hidden envoys back down the trees, so we don't need to worry about that. And then we're going to get to work on mobilization next, so we can build armies. Okay, we got trader in Gore. I think we're going to start building up our Renaissance walls so we can get a lot of value out of that. I think trading with Buddha is a good call in Gore. So, we'll begin that trade route. Coming into the citystate screen.
Something that may be worth considering.
We do want to get control of Villius.
Actually, I am Suzanne of Villius. So, at least I should be in theory. I could steal Rapanui here, which I will do. And then I'll levy their military to secure their sinty even further because that's worth another plus two envoys. I have one envoy in the bank. Let's grab Cardiff.
That's plus two era score on Cardiff.
And I will levy their military as well, just so I have it. And plus, I get plus two envoys when I levy someone's military. That's really useful. Now, let's take a look up here. I do have a line infantry that's pretty hurt. I'm going to pull him back to Bilos so that he can get healed up. And I will make use of my bombards to blast the city of Sidon. So, we'll just get up into position and start blowing it open. I'm going to bring a range three bombard over as well, so we can get a bit of work done. I should have had another range three bombard, but maybe I got killed. Oh, no. It was over here, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll bring it over to the front line. And in the meantime, we'll continue to bombard Ty. This crossbow bowman took a bit of damage.
So, I'm going to pull him back to a safe tile to promote. And you're ready to be pulled back as well to a safe tile to heal. Why don't you pop onto this campus and pillage for the science? Excellent.
Uh, we do have a couple of builders knocking around from capturing this territory. Progress is slow right now, but it will pick up. Here's a knight that I can bring to the front. Let's upgrade him into a carassier. I've got a pike and shot here from Kabul that I can move towards the front line. Excellent.
And I have a few builders that I need to move to the front line as well. Here's a Mhangearo crossbow. I'm just going to fortify you on this tile. Why not? And we'll put a mine right there. Excellent.
Trying to build up the city of Adelaide's production. And I believe we will chomp to finish the shipyard, giving the city production. We would like to get the encampment. And honestly, we would like to get conservation if we could because of the ability to plant trees. Well, we'll get to work on things like ancient walls and stuff like that because we still have the limaz card to plug in. Go and build a mine right there. Build a mine right there. Excellent. We have more builders finishing. We'll soon be able to plant woods. We have ourselves a second spy.
I'm going to put a spy into Brussels.
We will eventually liberate Brussels.
I'm going to park a spy in there so that we can start building up our uh spy capabilities with Zulu. And I'm very happy with the 300 culture per turn that we have. Go ahead and refuse deal with Yungle. Yong Le Yong Lelay with the long lay. So we increased our diplomatic visibility. So we're going to go ahead and renew that mission to do it again. I have an armory in Kafar. Let's grab the Renaissance walls and the military academy. Those are worth two signs each.
We got an archaeologist in pest, so we'll make use of this to get a little bit of extra culture. In the meantime, we will get the Renaissance walls. We also want the factory and we want the coal power plant. So, we're just kind of working away on a few things. We got the archaeological museum here in Esther.
So, we'll get the archaeologist as well.
We got an arena in COG. So, we really want that thermal bath. It's going to pump up our amenities. Excellent. We want to retain all of our gold for purchasing units. So, we're going to start building Renaissance walls and medieval walls. We got the archaeological museum over here. Let's get another archaeologist. We've been building builders in Canra. Magnus is getting established. Let's make sure we keep getting more builders. Let me go ahead and search for flood plane because in flood plane, I think it makes sense.
You can only really build farms on flood planes. So, I'm going to put down the farm pins to remind myself that these are flood planes and that's all I can really build here. Um, now I have a builder. There's some flood plane here.
We may as well improve them with farms.
There's nothing else we can do with it.
We literally can't put any other improvement on them. This marsh could become, because it's not a flood plane, this could become a lumberm mill tile in due time, which it will. So, it is worth it to chop out the marshes for the eventual lumber mills that we're going to be placing down. Now, let's take a look at Sidon. We do have a ship here.
here. I don't think we care about that.
We just want to make sure we break this city's walls. The other city can't shoot. We have a range three bombard that can help. We'll blast the walls of tire.
I believe we had a bombard over here.
Let's get him into range so that we can blast tire. Tire's almost ready to fall.
Bring forward the quarasier. Okay, crossbowman, you can become a field cannon. Thank you. Uh this swordsman here took some damage. I'm going to promote him with tortoise so that he gets extra health. You're going to become a field cannon. And we have some lion infantry. We can move up to start pillaging and breaking and doing all those wonderful things that we like doing to our enemy's territory to extract value from them. I have a random warrior over here. Where are you? Which city are you're from? Cardiff. Baffling.
Uh we could levy Nazca if we wanted to secure their susarint.
It's only 400 gold. So I will. That's worth another plus two envoys. We do love our envoy scaling as Hungary.
Remember, our gold translates directly into military and envoy power. Okay, so the Maui are kind of mad at us. It's fine. They're allowed to be mad. Yeah, it takes about 5 minutes to do a turn.
So, >> my recording sessions are about an hour long. So, we should be getting we should be hitting about 12 turns per per episode on average. All right, let's start bombing Sidon.
We may want to start thinking about retreating a bombard next turn. We have captured the city of Brisbane through loyalty, which is fantastic. Let's get the monument granary and then we'll go for some builders in there. We got the ancient walls in fuel. We're going to get the renaissance walls for the science. The extra trickle of science just means we get to some of these late game units a little bit sooner. And we may as well do it while we still have limes so that we get the double production. Okay, so there's armory.
Let's do those ancient walls.
We're not really looking for anything else. We do have two envoys to spend.
Can I secure a susarint tea? I could potentially get Auckland, which is quite powerful. So, I will grab them and then I'm going to levy them.
That will get me another plus two envoys in them. So, I'm at the stage where I am susin of everything except for one, two, three. I've only I'm only not susin of what looks to be three city states. No, one, two, three, four. Four city states are what I'm missing, which is pretty damn good considering I'm excuse of almost everything else now. Tiles are getting improved.
Excellent. Lston is making beautiful progress. We even have builders finishing in here. Okay.
Go there. You go there. Excellent. Now, uh we do need to bombard our tires. So, let's go ahead. One, two, and I'll pillage on you to heal. and then three attacks. What's the damage looking like with the Hazars? It's not amazing. The line infantry also isn't great. So, I guess we'll wait a turn.
Let's keep pillaging for science. I think that's worth it. There's also a gold pillage here, which it is worth it.
Again, remember gold is something we can very easily translate into strategic and tactical power in the form of getting susant of citystates. Actually, I think if we slammed with you and with you, we could crash this party. So, let's do it.
There's Ty. Loyalty is a little bit squirly. Let's go ahead and put Raina in there just to secure it. We will be keeping that city. Now, Ty was her capital, so in theory, we could piece her out. I'm going to grab Sidon, Ziz, and Inuk just because I think it's worth doing. Uh, and I'll queue up a bunch of repair work just to keep the city busy for a while. We have a swordsman here.
Let's upgrade you into an infantry. So, once we have mobilization, we'll be able to start producing bombard armies, which are going to be very useful. Uh, there's not much for you to pillage here, so I'll just pull you back. Okay, let's extract an artifact. It doesn't matter.
I'm just going to click randomly. We don't really care about what kind of artifacts we get. It just matters that we get a little bit of value from extracting artifacts in terms of our culture. It'll shave like a turn or two off of future technologies, uh, or rather future civics. It's not crazy important, right? I'm going to pull this bombard back, and then I want this Hazar to come in and clean up the city. So, we'll blast Sidon twice to get it down to zero health. And then we'll capture it. Boom. We get a couple of wonders out of it, which is nice. Uh, Mahabodyi Temple. Not that we went for a religion, but still. And then we'll queue up a bunch of repairs. I never noticed this before, but Ammani's eyes are kind of redder than I would expect. And so now I just permanently like it looks like when your friend is really high and asks you like, "Do you want to order food?" And they just look at you like this. I don't know. Am I listen? And it's like it's always the same friend who's like, "Yeah, but we could like order like pizza, dude." It's always the same friend. They turn to you with that little smile. And you know, all right.
Um, we're going to improve the silk.
Keep chopping. Not a huge amount left to chop. Repair this tile. I do love the the the the process of crafting an empire by chopping tiles and improving tiles. It's this like beautiful process.
Uh let's take Suzan Vius now. Although I am technically already Susan. They just don't have any units. It's weird. But yeah, I used that great great merchant that we got the other time. Shoot this field cannon. Um so Sidon is captured.
Let's put a line infantry in front of Inuk. We'll start getting bombards over there. I'll move a couple of other bombards up to Ziz. Let me type in flood again cuz anywhere there isn't flood plane here, this could very easily be lumberm mill territory. So, I'm just going to lay out lumber mills where the um floods aren't the flatland floods aren't because these are a lot of very deletable farms. Okay, Caesar's super mad at me. Stay mad, loser. I don't give a damn. World Congress. Uh, I'll vote this down. Seven times feels like a safe amount. I don't want to vote this up either. I don't want to do any aid requests. I don't want to benefit other players empires. I am here for war. So, aid request passed, but we didn't support it. And the military emergency did not pass, which is excellent. I have got an archaeologist in Buddha. I'll send him down there. Now, let's go ahead and grab the science buildings. We've got the trader in Tata. We'll trade with Buddha. Let's get those ancient walls up. We've got a builder in here in Sydney. Yeah, I don't see any flood planes here, so I'm going to start just breaking these farms and prepping this territory with more builders. Uh, we've got some ancient walls in Adelaide.
Let's get those walls up. While we still have that card, we may as well. The tourism isn't what we're looking for with the conservation walls. What we're looking for is the science and also the diplomatic favor is really, really useful because now we're going to start taking serious uh diplomatic penalties from grievances and occupying capitals.
So, the plus two diplomatic influence or favor from building Renaissance walls helps us offset the fact that we're crippling our international reputation by declaring a bunch of war and conquering people. So, I promise there is a method to the madness. Uh, let's chop here. We're going to break this forest open.
There's no need to put these here. So, I tell you what, I'm going to lay down a few lumber mill reminders. These are places I know that I should build lumber mills. Uh, the general rule of thumb is if there's a lumber mill on a tile, I don't need to chop it. That's how I do that. It's just like a little reminder for myself. Okay, let's harvest here to finish the Renaissance walls or the medieval walls. Then we'll harvest to finish the Renaissance ones. in Canra.
We're going to start mass chopping.
Let's start breaking these farms just in preparation for the future. I'll bring this three range bombard over and I'll start slamming this city with any of the fast units that I have. Bring a Hazarda here. I think you can step forward a tile and then take the Corourser's promotion.
You're ready to move to the east.
Excellent. Then we need to start blasting. You took a lot more damage than I was expecting. So, I'm going to pull you back to tire.
Let's put you in this hill. You have that beautiful plus three range. We're blasting inch. I'll move some Hazars up here to Ziz cuz we do want to capture Ziz. You may as well pillage that. You can heal up. You're a little bit hurt as well, so I'll heal with you. Keep breaking those tiles in preparation for conservation so we can actually improve our territory. Uh we have a field cannon here. The foot cannons can't do much, but they can level up, which is useful.
And I'm just going to tank those cities.
I'm going to pull you out of here actually, just to keep you safe. We could check the city state missions. I don't think we need to. Mostly they just want trade routes and stuff. And I'm like, don't care. They've got a lot of chopping to do so. So, we'll keep sending our builders like a little locust swarm across the world. Now, uh we're going to get Jacob Fugger, who has the least funny name in all of civilization. Uh we gain two gold and 200 gold and two envoys. We have two envoys in the bank now.
Uh let's start building up our relationship with Valleta. We'll grab medieval walls in here. We'll grab Renaissance walls and Antium ancient walls. Just trying to get my walls built up because of the science and diplomatic favor implications of that. Speaking of which, let me cancel these builders and get to work on some walls. It's worth a ridiculous amount of science and a ridiculous amount of diplomatic favor in a big empire. So, I do believe it's worth it. It's probably not what I would consider to be optimal, but on Hungary especially because you you just can have so much diplomatic favor. You can do a lot if you can control the World Congress. Beautiful. So, we got the Renaissance walls in here. That's worth plus two science and plus two Renaissance walls, which is just super super overpowered. Probably the big thing in here. So, they only have a campus. There is a there is a potential harbor here. So, if I'm kind of looking at this city, I see a campus. If I go into empire map mode, the ideal city in my empire has like let's have a look at the city overlap map mode. Okay, so we've gone this is a six city overlap here. I think we're going to turn this into an entertainment complex. That gets me the overlap I'm looking for. This will be a water park to give me even more amenity overlaps. They have pretty good range, those guys do. If I go to nine tiles, you can see this is a six city water park, which is not bad considering its positioning. I think we'll get started on that water park because that's AoE empirewide bonuses.
We also need to consider if we have an industrial zone in this area and we don't. So, if I do the maths in Brisbane, if I put an industrial zone on the copper tile, we can actually make a pretty damn good industrial zone by going aqueduct here plus two mines adjacent. That's plus4 industrial zone.
It's not the worst, it's not the best, it's a pretty decent one. And the combination of these two districts should hit six cities. And then we can kind of like go from there. Just trying to get our AoE a you know you want to get your area of effect bonuses locked in so that you can have a very very powerful empirewide yield bonus. All right, let's use the long range bombard.
Well, actually you're ready to promote, but we don't actually care about these other promotions. So, we save that for healing. Capture that builder. Let's just free production. And then we're going to slam the city like it's going out of fashion. Boom. Now, Ino on the other hand, I think we want to open up.
Yeah, these guys, we could promote them.
I don't think we need to, I suppose.
What's wrong with leveling up grapeshot?
It's technically unnecessary. I'm going to put this line infantry on this farm to heal. Then I'm going to push you forward and shoot. I'll push you forward and shoot and shoot and shoot.
Now, can I get a unit in here to cover the weak tile? I have Hazar to go there. This prevents the Carass here from just getting a melee attack on this bombard, which would be annoying if he did that. Let's keep ripping up these offending farms.
Excellent, because it's important that we retool our empire. Now, if I remember correctly, none of these are flood planes. So, I'm going to start planting the lumber mill signs so we can start clearing this area out as well.
Excellent. Now, what have we got here?
Ah, another artifact. Beautiful. Again, it doesn't matter what the artifact is.
Just a small trickle of extra tourism is very useful. Each artifact is like getting an extra monument. It's not quite that good, but it is. That's just the way that I want you to think about it is like the building an archaeologist is like getting three monuments if you play it correctly. And when you phrase it like that, that's actually really good. Always like thinking about things in terms of monuments. Although, one thing you need to consider is that monuments typically, you know, the earlier into the game that you get them, it's pretty late into the game. So, the value is like like one monument early game is worth three late game. You know what I mean? Like the value shift there is is important to keep in mind. Um, okay. So, there's medieval walls. Let's go for the Renaissance walls because we want all that science and we want all that other stuff. Adelaide has finished its Renaissance walls. I just need so many builders over here that it's hard to justify. Although, we do technically have a factory here that I could soup up with an aqueduct.
Let's go for the coal power plant first and the factory because that's going to be a lot of value. Okay, we built our monument in here. We don't actually care about the campus buildings. Let's repair the aqueduct. Um, we'll keep getting builders. Builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders, builders.
Snake.
Solid snake.
All right, blasting inch once again.
Beautiful. Let's move over this bombard.
It has a promotion. Let's prioritize doing damage. Ziz should fall from just crashing cavalry into it cuz it doesn't have any walls. Beautiful. We'll keep that city. That does relieve the spy of duty. I'll put him in Lupa. Yeah, I don't want to get a major defeat if I can avoid it. Minor defeat isn't the worst. We should be able to capture Inuk next turn and in Ziz. Let's go ahead and get me the monument and the granary in Buddha. Our spy has come back. Let's put him into Lipqua just so we can keep getting that plus three combat strength. It doesn't sound like it's a big deal, but it does make a difference over the course of the game to have a small combat boost against your enemies. Here's another beautiful artifact. Don't care what it was. Just again, a little bit of extra culture adds up over the course of the game.
We do have room for some extra traders, so that's something we need to be considering. Do we want to plant down our trade stuff? Uh, do we want to be getting more traders right now?
I just find it so satisfying to build up a huge unstoppable empire with insane yields. There's something really satisfying about it. Let's go ahead and do a listening post inside the Zulu Empire. So, we're going to be better prepared to attack them. Technically, I would win the game faster if I started building military units right now instead of just continuing to build up my economy. But, I like building up my economy, right? It's fun. It's satisfying to have this like unstoppable meat grinder economy. So, there's mobilization. We can now build armies and we can also make our units cheaper to maintain, which is great. Become a field cannon. You heal up. We'll choose our civics next. I want to delay ideology. Weirdly enough, I want to grab conservation so I can improve the production of my territory. And then I'm going to go mass media into ideology and then into fascism. Once we have fascism, that's like trigger pull to start killing the world. Believe it or not, we got Titian, the great artist. So, if I wanted to, I could start cranking out uh bombard armies relatively cost effectively. I think I'm going to work on medieval walls. I want that juicy science and I want that diplomatic influence. Let's go ahead and chop that medieval wall. Go there. Then repair the armory. That's fine. Okay, we've got our military units over here. Let's start blasting. Since this place is about to fall, we can take a turn to level you up. Blast in. You're ready to level as well. So, let me step you back and promote with forward observers.
Blast you. And we should be able to capture the city now. Beautiful. We even captured a settler out of that, which is fantastic. We can move on to Suburan, Touumba, and Leprequa. We can even stop by and kill Melbourne if we want, which we will definitely look into doing. So, we got to do a bunch of repairing in here, and I have governor titles to spend, but I have nothing I really can think of that would change the outcome of the game if I were to get them. So, I'm a little bit hesitant to to spend them. I don't I don't see a need. Just for fun, I will level up Victor so that he has the nuclear armorament projects bonus. That could be fun to play around with if we decide to go down a nuclear path. Got some builders here. I definitely want to keep sending them to the northwest to the a the conquered lands because Australia's lands still have a ton of potential that's untapped.
Speaking of untapped potential, start laying out some lumber mills.
At this point in the game, it is worth it in my opinion to chop cattle tiles.
Harvest. I don't even know which city that production went to. Uh yeah, we're just churning up the territory. You need to fall back to heal. Believe it or not, Titian is going to start recreating great works. There's like more monuments. Yeah, line infantry can't do a huge amount against the city. I may as well just crash into it for experience.
Let's let these cavalry units heal up and then we'll start pushing push it to the limit. Yeah, people are stealing my gold. I don't care. I would like siege units to get more power and it would be nice if units were cheaper to produce with production. Okay, excellent. So siege units are stronger and units are able to be produced at a at double speed. So that's actually fantastic. Now I'm going to start producing bombards.
Uh I have an encampment over here in Edgar. I may as well make use of the limes card while I still have it. Let's start blasting this city just like I blasted your who me. No, I didn't do that. Yoink. It didn't go through. Can you pillage and then attack? Excellent. All right, so we've managed to break through all the cities that had like Renaissance walls.
This one's trying to desperately build Renaissance walls or at least medieval walls. So, we should be able to blast through these last few cities a little bit quicker. Melbourne will be annoying, but we do have a ton of of siege power that we can bring to bear on them. Uh, Villius does actually have a military egg in Levy now, which is hilarious. And then we should be able to attack the Zulu from multiple directions and then also begin preparing an attack for Rome.
Always make sure you do your repair work first. We have a trade route from Edgar to Buddha. I think we would like some trade routes over in like Biblo, etc. We'll get this coal online. That's excellent. Make sure we harvest the marsh. Yeah, we're heading north. There is a hill. There are some hills around and things. Go ahead and yink that barbarian artifact. Chop here. Use the overflow on the medieval walls. Grab the artifact. want to have really strong yields.
Grab the mine chop here. There's the Renaissance walls. Isn't that beautiful?
I don't think we care about building this thermal bath. While it is a nice building, it's kind of just like in the wrong place. We could build the arena.
I'd be far more interested in getting like commercial hob, encampment, etc. in here. But I think for now we just spam builders cuz this is the builder spam city as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, we're just in the process of like completely ripping up every piece of land across the entire empire. We've got a line infantry here that we can go smash into our enemies with. Start surrounding Melbourne. Just drop off some great work with Titian, the good lad. Um, Huzzar is ready to level up. I have a settler and I think probably go settle over there. That's worth a lot of money potentially. You can attack after moving now. Excellent. We've got a Hazar. We could make some Hazar armies if we wanted to. I don't think that's necessarily what we want. She wants peace. I don't care. Not Not interested.
I will kill Australia just because it seems satisfying and fun to me to fully kill a player. We got plus one error score refining. So, we're getting oil now. We already have two copies of oil.
We've got one underneath a territory over here. We've got one out in the open. We've got one out in the open. And we've got one out in the open.
Excellent. So, I am just curious. Do we have some water oil? There usually tends to be a little bit of oil out in the water around. It looks like there's a bit of oil in the desert. Yeah, we'll be able to get all that eventually. It might be time to start building artillery. I think I would like steam power to be able to build railroads. So, let me go ahead and grab that really quick cuz I'm missing railroads in my empire in Buddha. We got the Renaissance walls. We would like this city to grow if we could. We are working these crappy tiles. Let's switch that. Okay, looking fine. I wouldn't cry if I could build a neighborhood. I don't necessarily want to build a neighborhood. I think building traders in Buddha is fine. So, that's what we're going to work on. We got the factory in Pest. Let's get the coal power plant. It's a seven production bonus building. Plus, it'll start providing electricity. Uh, we got our archaeologist in Estam. Go ahead and send him. Let's get our ancient walls up.
We got our thermal bath in cog. We definitely want our factory and coal power plant for the AoE production here.
Antium got its Renaissance walls. Let's get the market for for gold production.
I am putting a point into Suzarant. And then I'm going to levy so that we can get another two envoys.
Looks like we've discovered even Hanza and more places. Excellent. And we also met the Aztec. Very nice to meet you. I thought I had met everyone at this point. Looks like there is another player that I haven't met. So, I was completely wrong. I think I actually own a a like a 20% of the world, not a fifth. I thought I I thought I had conquered a fifth of the world, but it turns out I'm actually a little bit behind on my thing. So, there's plastics. We boosted up the what you call it the tech. And we have more oil.
Yeah, I just don't think we care about these. Again, I wish I could right click some of these options just to get rid of them because I don't think I care about a lot of them. One, two, three, four, five, six. So, you don't need that. What instead we'll build here is I think we just keep cramming out builders from this place. Seems to be doing a lot of good work for us in terms of getting our territory uh improved. All right.
Constantly focusing on chops, harvesting, and improving territory because we need to make sure that the land that we have is being utilized to its fullest. So, the furthest along that we can field is there. So, I'll trade with tire. That's fine. Uh, let me put Titian into a city so I can teleport him over here. So, we could create a great work over there instead. Break this deer is always very harvestable. Still have a little bit of repair work to do. So, we'll use our overflow for that. We need to make a move on to Womba. Let me go ahead and grab my bombards and start moving them in that direction. There we go. We got all of our bombards moving.
Let's take a moment to heal with you and then let's crush these enemy units outside Melbourne. Okay. So, let's go ahead and start pumping out mines in Ziz. So, the city has more production.
You're going to heal up right there. You just fortify there. We don't really have a huge amount of use for you at the moment. Okay. So, we got a great person here. We can get Tupac Amaru. He is a modern era great general. So, there's ancient walls. We're going to get medieval walls. And here we got medieval walls. We got the Renaissance walls here. We got the industrial zone. Let's repair some of these buildings.
Beautiful.
Inside, we can repair our military academy. Just focused on repairs really.
Titian can create a great work.
Beautiful. Thank you, Titian. And we have a couple of chops and improvements over here. In particular, this double chop on the deer feels really good. I also want to chop here. That finished the medieval walls. Let's go for the Renaissance next. You're on the silk for a chop. That's a builder finished immediately. Head there. Go there. Go there. Trying to make sure that we spread these builders out to get maximum chop power, maximum yield from our effort. Chop there. There's a builder.
Go there to repair. Grab more builders.
We have so much terrain to improve. Now, unfortunately, two pack Amaroo isn't going to do much, but the second we get siege units, he will do a lot. So, we'll keep them near these guys. Uh, you're a range two siege unit, so I'll move you into range of the city. You're a range three, so you only need to be this close. You're a range two, so you have to get a little bit closer. You're a range two, so I'll bring you right up as well. Uh, here's a range three, and you're a range three. We can pretty much one turn weekly defended cities now, which is very exciting. So, the conquest speed, like this is the phase of the game where the conquest speed starts to go up. The second you get artillery and you start looking into aircraft and all these sorts of things, the rate at which you can conquer the map starts to just go bananas. and it makes me very happy.
Okay, let's get this oil rig online and we're extracting another artifact.
Barbarians are fine. Beautiful. We're up to 400 culture per turn, which is ridiculously good. The thing about having a big empire is it takes a lot of effort to manage. But there is something satisfying about managing a big empire, even if it does take quite a bit of effort. Let's make use of our range boys to slap Towa down. Boom. Towa is ours.
We will keep that city even though it's in a relatively crap positioning. I will, of course, build it in aqueduct because it has zero fresh water. Uh, we need to think about Melbourne next and Lqua.
Uh, let's deal with Melbourne. So, we'll get you into position. Let's try to get the city surrounded. We'll push through with our Hazars. You're a range, too.
You're a range, too. So, let's get you in there. And you're a range, too, as well. So, you're in position. Yeah, we should be able to hammer Melbourne next turn. Uh, we got a trader in Buddha. I do kind of like the idea of doing trade routes internally here. So, that kind of amuses me to try to get the city to 10 population a little bit sooner. There's ancient walls. Let's get our medieval walls. We've got our Renaissance walls in Gure. I would like to We could build a mausoleium. I don't think we need to. I mean, it is two rings worth of mausoleium tiles, which is like a nine tile mausoleium, which is pretty damn good if we're, you know, we're thinking about how good mausoleium can be. It's not a bad one. I just think we're better off like the fact that we have the Renaissance walls, we have the city center, we have the harbor, we have commercial hub. This place is now ready to turn into a unit production powerhouse. So, let's get started on our encampment. We got our amphitheater entire. Let's repair the university and repair the art museum because always you want to repair stuff in.
There's some potential repairs to be done by builders in suburban. We have some repair work in the inside of the city. We've captured two womba. Let's get some repairs going. Uh we've got some line infantry here that we're moving out. I'm just going to park you in Z to keep it safe.
Let me see if Daido will take peace.
Will she also give me Lipqua? I'm going to see. She's going to seed all of these cities to me and she's going to give me Lipaqua. So, that'll get me out of the war with her. So, I don't have to worry about her blowing up any of my stuff.
Lipoqua is now mine. Remember someone telling me that like the Phoenician writing system didn't have like vowels or something when you wrote them? So, you just kind of had to know. All right.
Beautiful. We have a bombard army on the way from uh we're going to start positioning these for attacking the Zulu. Bombard army in four turns. That's a beautiful rate of production. We'll keep chopping these tiles. Improve the luxuries. Chop there. Get on the tiles. Chop. Chop.
Chop. So many builders and tiles. We can improve. I love the the the locust like feeling of improving territory. Just having builders like swarm over your land and make it nice. Now, unfortunately, Cexmeth is kind of working a bunch of flat tiles, but we now have the technology to turn this into lumberm mill land. So, any of these like the with the sort of builder lens mod that I'm using, tiles that are blue means that they could be improved. And so, that's where I'm going to lay my lumber mills. It probably doesn't make sense to have laid these lumber mills out up here, honestly. Okay, Petra, please grab an artifact from John Curtain. AI is looking to do deals with me, but I don't give a damn. So, I'm looking forward to killing John Curtain.
Right, there's steam power. People are stealing from us. We have conservation now. We don't care about the tourism aspect of conservation or like I mean the national parks can be really good for amenities, but more so what we care about are the the ability to plant woods cuz it allows us to turn lowquality land that that that is flat that we chopped a bunch into high quality land. So, the question is, do we go for I think we want to go for steel because we have two pack amaroom. We could have gone for observation balloons which would have given us a lot of bombing capability.
But I think we want to go for steel here so that we can get the artillery as the tupac amaroo will make the artillery move and deal more damage.
Move faster and deal more damage basically. All right, let's move in on Melbourne. We're blasting the city.
You're range two only. Oh buddy, keep on killing. The city is ready to fall with all of those attacks.
Do I have anyone who can actually finish the job? You might be able to finish the job. So, there's Australia completely killed. At long last, we got revenge on them. That's plus five error score. Now, we have a ton of grievances against most of the players on the map. Um, or at least we will when they realize that we killed another player. They should get mad at us. We have a lot of grievances with Daido and they bleed away really really slowly mostly due to the fact that we occupy their capital. So these are not going anywhere. We will of course be keeping Melbourne and we will be considering our options moving forward with attacking the Zula. We are in the Golden Age and we also do have the Giants Causeway up here. So we are going to want to make try to make use of that. We got our water park in Lawnston.
I do think it's super worth it to get the ferris wheel and the aquarium in here. So, we'll get started on that. I'm going to say don't care about food.
Focus on everything but food and probably get yourself a couple of builders before the ferris wheel. We got the Renaissance walls in Berat. We have the campus. We have the encampment. We have the theater square. The only thing missing is the commercial hub which we do love gold. But let's keep pumping out builders cuz they're very valuable. Um, Biblo over here has finished yet more builders. We're still improving the territory. I think we can get away with a bit of Renaissance walls here. You actually have nothing to repair. So, just get me a couple of builders. You will struggle for production for a very long time because you've just been conquered, but that's okay. Chop here.
Go grab that artifact. Get ready to chop over there. You chop here. Make sure you improve this. Bum bum bum.
Productivity. These don't actually need to be built until the time comes. Um, let me take a look here. I don't think Canbor needs all these tiles to the northeast. So, I'm going to give at least one to Brisbane. I'll give these to Adelaide. The city has just so many tiles to the southwest that I feel very comfortable giving them giving their tiles to a different city. I need Brisbane to gain a lot of food, so I'm going to put it on food priority for now. I have a spy here, Irvin. I have a spy in Brussels. Let's put a spy into.
Let's see which city am I likely to take last or never? I'm probably going to be Velray. So, let's go ahead and put you into Velray so you can start building up our spy capabilities. I've got a bombard army on the border here. We're building up these tiles. We've got some more chops we can do. Keep chopping and improving. Lovely. See if we can't get a unit into Liquid to guard it. And then we need to push through Vius to go to war with our number one enemy, the Zulu, who also declared war on me this game, I might remind you. Okay, plus two era score for turning on electricity for the first time. That's wonderful. Uh, we built another trader in Buddha. I think we'll look for just some good traders. Keep making those traders so we can build a giga capital. We have a coal power plant in Pest. We have all of our infrastructure built up, which is fantastic.
We can now start building um some pretty good cavalry. I do think I like the idea of making sure I have a few extra bombards built up. Uh medieval walls.
Let's get the Renaissance walls. You got your factory. Let's get the coal power plant so we can spread that productivity around. Antium has its city center, its encampment, and its commercial hub.
That's pretty much all the buildings that we need. So, if we take a quick peek at its lands, make sure we tell it to focus on production and food, which it is doing.
reasonably competently. It doesn't need any more tiles to be improved. So, we could build some military in here. I'm going to grab myself like a few military engineers to start cranking out railroads. That's going to start burning up our coal and and our iron. Let's go ahead and get our medieval walls, ancient walls, meeting house repairs, and yes, now we can start planting woods and stuff in the places that it makes sense to do.
So, harvest you. That gives me this Lston, yeah, you don't need food right now. Let me have a look at this Empire map mode.
Do you need more tiles? No, I think you're good for tiles. So, we'll start planting forests on the blue. Let's make sure we put the lumberm mill marker on the blue tiles and we delete anywhere that it doesn't need to be. Chop, chop, chop. Can is going to need a few lumber mills, so I'm just going to make sure I lay those out. I think it does make sense to constantly be improving the territory. And so now you're going to heal up and we're going to start moving you. I think we can declare the golden age war on the Zulu which will give us very few grievances to deal with and we can use this as an excuse to clear up some of the units they have on our borders now. So like they have a couple of impies down here that we can clean up with impies here. There we go. That's one impy dealt with. And then there's more down this way that we need to deal with. There's even a unit kind of over there. Two pack. Good job.
Okay, so I think we basically defeated two players. We beat Daido and Canada.
And we've begun the war with our friend the Zulu. And I've been recording for an hour. So that's going to be the end of the episode. I want to thank you guys very much for watching. I love you all very much and I'll see you guys next time. Bye-bye.
