This analysis masterfully deconstructs the "franchise" myth of gang culture, proving that territorial sovereignty always trumps nominal identity. It is a compelling look at how local geography dictates social order more than any shared name ever could.

L.A gang culture versus Chicago gang culture ...Hinzugefügt:
What's up, foundation? What's up, foundation? What's up, foundation?
Finish me, your big partner. Tony Tony Tony, man. God been working on me, man, since I was born.
And don't forget, man. And don't forget, man. Don't forget, I represent Jesus Christ. I represent Jesus Christ.
What's up, Foundation?
What's up, YouTube? It's me, your big partner, Tony. I'm back again. Back again. Back again. Oh, man. As you can look from the title, you can tell this here is about the age old controversy about which city, Los Angeles, California or Chicago, Illinois is the gang capital of the United States.
Some people going to say LA, some people going to say Chicago, but at the end of the day, both cities are very, very, very heavily gang active.
Both cities are very, very heavily into what they about.
Um, both cities have not been penetrated by the other cities.
um gangs. Now, you going to have a lot of people that say, "Well, you know, well, well, well, well, tune or Tony, you know, you got the Black Pea Stones."
And a lot of people always fall back to that. Even though, yes, the name originated in Chicago. At the end of the day, black pea stones in LA are bloods.
There would be no black pea stones under the same guys that they hold in Chicago.
That would not be in LA. It had to take on the name blood or [ __ ] on the end of it. Yeah, the name is there, but at the end of the day, those are bloods. Those are bloods. So, when they fall back on that trying to say, well, you have a Chicago game in LA.
Uh, that is debatable. That can be debated. But anyway, on the same way you don't have Crips and Bloods in Chicago, it's the same way you don't have uh GDS and Vice Lords in LA.
Um, here's an interview where Real Life Stars was talking to the guy at Big Homie CC about the gangs and conversations he's had with people about LA versus Chicago as far as gang stuff go. Let's check it out.
>> Had a conversation with a young lady and she said, "Gee, these [ __ ] are LA [ __ ] be running.
>> Shout out Jalice, man.
>> Yeah. What what what was the context in that conversation when she was trying to cuz she saying LA [ __ ] run over to Chicago, >> right? So >> that's cap.
>> So look, she said that LA guys be victimizing Chicago guys and that LA guys go to Chicago and be untouched.
>> Yeah. So then when I said, you know, I'm insane. She said, "Oh, you know, it's it's insane crips in Chicago." I said, "No, it's not." It's She said, "When I say I'm insane," she said, "Oh, you you so you one of the Crips?"
>> I'm like, "Sweetheart, there are no >> Crips.
>> There are no LA gangs."
>> Yeah.
>> In Chicago, but there are Chicago gangs in California. She didn't notice.
>> You see what I'm saying? So, you know, I was just laughing because bro, you can ask Trump right now, bro. Like, like mother like like we respect each other. You know what I'm saying? Like, everybody's just seen some Chicago [ __ ] go and put belt on [ __ ] in in Kelly.
>> I was just want to say allegedly.
>> Alleged. Allegedly. You see what I'm saying? So, you know, shout out to Delise, bro.
>> Kelly can't [ __ ] with us, man. And can't [ __ ] with a picture of us. No type of way.
>> I don't even understand how she got into that thought process. Like like I love you. I love every big city in we respect but for her to just >> now for There it is. There big CC big uh he was speaking on a conversation he had had with the girl Jaliss and because he said that he was insane. I guess she was under the impression that they had insane crips in Chicago which they don't. You know what I'm saying? But um you hear how the big brother on the other end, he was like, you know, he got respect. He got respect for LA the same way LA got respect for Chicago. But it's always I don't care where you go. It's going to always be the littlest one in the pack with the biggest mouth and always keep some started. Now you hear how the little Pee-Wee Herman looking dude in the middle with his scary looking self. First thing he come out of his mouth, L KF with a picture of Chicago. Now there they go. You know what I'm saying? There it go. You got two big giant dudes on the side talking respectful. You know what I'm saying?
Keeping it kosher. Then here it is. He got his his scared to come off the front porch looking behind in the middle.
LA came out. You know what I'm saying?
Man, go sit down and be quiet, man. Act like you got some sense. It's always the little ones. You know what I'm saying?
Out of out of all three of them up there.
You got your little bitty scary looking behind up there. First thing you want to come out your mouth with some stuff like that. Be quiet, man. Let the two big brothers in the front talk because they got sense, man. Let's hear the rest of what they speaking on, y'all.
>> Big city and we respect Charlie, but for her to just say that, come on. That that don't even make sense. That's like some [ __ ] shot [ __ ] >> So she thought, >> I'm saying >> that the black peace was started in California.
>> Everybody know that [ __ ] from the mother land, man. You know what I'm saying? That's crazy. You know, I I know for a fact we we see and this one she got to understand the breakdown is that when he say it ain't ain't ain't no Crips and Bloods in Chicago, he basically let them know there's no sets of that.
>> No set. It may be some of their members, but as far as like if you go somewhere and be like, "Man, Crips over." But you definitely can go anywhere in America, you gonna find them Chicago demonstrations.
>> So, what is the fundamental difference between like a Chicago gang and LA gang? Is it is there any is the is it structured differently? Like do y'all have a color?
Like what is the what would make the difference between Man, it's definitely a difference.
>> It's definitely a different like different >> or I want some vegan [ __ ] I just >> if we could just >> give me if I was trying to cuz you know you go to you go to LA they say you can't wear a hat.
>> Right. Right. And then like clothes and [ __ ] >> But Right. But in Chicago a hat is a [ __ ] So it's like so look so look so look I'mma say this right like in the 90s having your hat cocked like this or to the other to the left was dangerous >> as a crucial conflict was banging that's the first time I heard crucial conflict you should have broke it to the left >> you know what I'm saying >> and colors was involved too you know was definitely >> you know as far as with born black.
>> So Eric, let's speak to the civilians, you know, that are just, you know, coming to Chicago. Where can a [ __ ] go?
Where can he not go? Where's Where's the safest place for him? What should he have?
>> Staying away from that [ __ ] >> Yeah, but like Chicago and you look like somebody like, you know what I'm saying? You go to any neighborhood you going they going to feel like you you know what I'm saying?
Chicago so [ __ ] up and so crazy to the point to where it's like and people be getting [ __ ] misconcreding like [ __ ] from Chicago just trying to big city up.
No, it's really a [ __ ] difference man.
>> It is a difference.
>> You know what I'm saying? Like the average, >> you know what I'm saying? Like the average [ __ ] especially if you young or got dreads or a certain look, you just can't go to no any neighborhood. You can't get out of town.
>> You know what I'm saying? Like It's It's different, bro.
>> We was just watching a video. I seen a DG DG. He was in the hotel room. He was looking out at Chicago. He was like, "Man, it's beautiful out here, man."
He's like, "What the [ __ ] this is [ __ ] doing?" I was just whatever yesterday.
>> Yeah.
>> The thing is like in Chicago, it is a beautiful city. You play the best foods in the world, architecture, uh, history.
It's just that in Chicago like everybody resorts to violence fast.
Like don't even blow your horn in traffic if you not ready to have a bang out.
Like this this is just fast.
>> So you know like as we travel around like our our timing is just different because we know everybody's on that. But we out here like the guys in Dallas is the smoothest players until they not.
You see what I'm saying? In Chicago, it's murder over money.
>> Yeah, that makes sense.
>> You know what I'm saying? It's not like that in other places, but out there, boy, they [ __ ] the bag up for the Oh, they don't even want to get no money.
>> Know how to get money like the >> No, I ain't gonna say that.
But you know that's why that's why I respect Trump a lot because >> Yeah. Trump what what first off how the [ __ ] you get to you you picked a terrible time.
>> You [ __ ] up the gas. How do you get the name How do you get the name Wonder Trump?
>> Um >> why you got that hat?
>> First my name was Wonderbread. Then I felt like I got to a level where I ain't want to sh these goofballs. Trump was building the wall so I felt like I wanted to put a wall up.
>> Okay. Yeah. But anyway, it's all that's always been a big controversy, man. But see, this is my thing. I ain't never been to Chicago, you know. I've met a lot of people from there. I've seen a lot of documentaries about Chicago on TV, you know. So, we pretty much know, you know, it's a given that we know Chicago is very, very dangerous. Um, we look at at this rap at the rap scene nowadays and if from my understanding the drill music, if I'm not if I'm mistaken, y'all let me know.
But if I'm not mistaken, the drill music scene has came from Chicago. And that sent the level of violence to a whole another level. You know what I'm saying?
To a whole another level. So, we know for a fact Chicago is a very dangerous place. We know for a fact Los Angeles is a very dangerous place. But this is my thing. This is the thing in this day and age in the 2020s 20 2026 in this day in the 2020 period. In this day and age and it's been like this for many many years everywhere is dangerous nowadays. Not just Los Angeles, not just Chicago, but you got Detroit, Oakland, places in Houston, Dallas, um Memphis, other places in all over Oklahoma, Arizona, you know, you know, can't leave nothing out. You can get your life took, man, in any city in the United States.
And it don't even have to be a major city. These boys ain't playing, man.
They got guns everywhere. They got some type of gang or organization everywhere. And ain't nobody playing.
And one thing I know for a fact, if you from a if you from a a a so-called big city and you go to some of them other small towns or smaller cities thinking that just because you come from a large city that you going to be able to push your weight around and put out and show out, you will lose your life, man.
Because they don't care. They already got an attitude with you in their mind.
They already thinking that you think you somebody because you from one of them larger states or bigger cities. So they already laying in the cut to put BTA on you just to show you, hey man, it ain't where you from, it's where you at. You feel what I'm saying? I live right here in Birmingham, Alabama. And that's one thing I know for a fact. Man, the boys out here ain't playing, man. In Birmingham, they don't care where you from. They don't care if you from LA.
They don't care if you from Chicago, uh, nowhere. They don't care. If you come out here and get wrong at the mouth, you won't be going home. No, you won't. They will put that fire on on you quick. Real fast. Very fast. And you got to look for Birmingham in Alabama to be the size that it is. You got to look, man. For the last few years straight, it's been in the top three in homicides in the United States. So what that tell you. So yeah, it don't make no it ain't about where you from or where it, man, they taking your life everywhere, man.
Everywhere. Everywhere. But now, as far as the gang situation go, like I say, Chicago is very strong in their gang beliefs. LA is very strong in their gang beliefs. Um, but like the one dude said, he said there's no there's no LA gangs in Chicago. I don't really consider uh Chicago I mean LA having no Chicago gangs. Like I say, you do have the Black Stones, but you know, they have that name, but the whole twist, the whole dynamics of that thing has been changed. Those those are bloods.
They just have the name of their set just happened to be from Chicago, but the Chicago outlook is not on them. No, the LA gang outlook is on the Jungles, on the Black Stones. You know what I'm saying? It's a LA gang. But now, one thing that is a proven fact. One thing that's a proven fact, man. And I'm not saying this I'm not saying this about the Crips because I used to be one.
Cuz I used to be one. But Crips are the largest street gang in the world.
Not. And the reason why I said it because there is no you there there is no other street gang that has spreaded worldwide the way the Crips have. Now do you know do you have other gangs around the world? Yeah. Yeah. You know in small numbers here and there here and there like that. Yeah. But as far as the crips go in the numbers that they have spreaded into Africa, Asia, Europe, all over the Middle East, they have spread it around the world.
The concept of what they about has spreaded.
That's why you can look in any country almost when they dancing, what are they doing? They [ __ ] walking.
You know what I'm saying? The the the LA the LA gang culture has spread it around the world way more than any other place or any other city's culture have spread it. You know what I'm saying? Now, I'm not I'm not promoting it. I'm not advocating it. I'm just speaking facts.
You know what I'm saying? So, yeah. Even though and you have you have a you have a few cities that don't have crips and bloods like like Chicago and like I say Oakland. Oakland is a city that sits right there in California. But from the beginning of time they was like no no no not here we not having it. They fought hard to keep Crips and Bloods out of Oakland. No they wasn't having it. You know and that's right there. You know, that's right there. But yeah, you can say that as far as the gang culture goes in the United States, LA and Chicago are at the top. They the two top dogs, man. They the two top dogs. You know what I'm saying? As far as saying which one is the big dog and which one is the smaller dog, I can't say. I've never been to Chicago, you know, but like the brother said, of course, you have people that's from LA that live in Chicago that are Crips and Bloods, but you can't really go nowhere in Chicago, like he say, and say, "Oh, well, the Crips are over there. Oh, well, the Bloods over there." The same way you can't go in nowhere in LA and say, "Oh, oh, the Disciples are over the GDs are over there, or or the Vice Lord's over there." You know what I'm saying? th those two prospective cities, they hold their own weight and they have their own culture and they stringently stick with that, you know. So that's that, man. You know, in the meantime, between time, y'all tell the people that you love you love them. And it's me, man. Your big partner, Tony. I represent Jesus Christ, y'all. I'm out. Peace.
