Most people don't even know the difference between a Chicano [music] and a Chola. Chicanos were born out of the civil rights movement, Mexican-Americans fighting for identity and a place [music] in the country. And the word Chola goes back centuries, long before LA, long before gangs. Just know that all Cholas are Chicano, but not all Chicanos are Cholas.
