Token Efficiency

[00:00:00]kind of predicted the future a little bit, but I I didn't realize how fast things were going to come true. But hey, well, it turns out this is me just 10 days ago. I'm going to do something I normally don't do. I'm going to make a tech prediction. I know.

Now I make some effective forward-looking statements, and one of the big forward-looking statements I make is that sometime during 2026, I believe that that point we would see the idea of not token maxing, but token efficiency. Like who is using it actually the best? 9 days later, Sam would come out and say, "Well, it turns out token maxing is actually becoming a huge issue, and companies used to not complain at all, and now all of a sudden they're complaining." Here's effectively his exact quote. He also said that the cost question came up quite suddenly. "People were totally happy with the amount they were spending," he said. "Now AI costs are a huge issue." That's what he said.
