As AI agents become capable of writing and understanding code better than humans, traditional code review standards emphasizing specific coding patterns like decorators and early return statements are becoming less valuable, suggesting developers should adapt their review practices to focus on functionality rather than stylistic preferences.

Are we overthinking code reviews? 🤔 Let's talk AI agents and what to unlearn! 💻 #AIAgents #CodingAñadido:
I don't think that stuff is valuable as it once was.
Um agents love to write a bunch of code and it's not always it doesn't always look great and I'm starting to realize that's okay. I don't need to go in and tell it to be like, "Oh, I really want this to be a decorator." or I really want this to like have an early return statement here because I think that's the most elegant way. Like getting getting at that level of uh code review quality, I think it's just not not needed anymore. These these agents are getting so fast that you know, they can they can read the code. They they wrote the code. They can read the code and understand it better better than um than I can and and probably better than like what a beautifully crafted code base looks like.
So >> my opinion of a beautifully crafted code base is.
So how often are you reading code today and reviewing code that your agents are are writing or how how do you review that code? What kind of What kind of standards are you looking for?
I'm actively uh trying to do less and less of that.
