Disc golf tournament to bring economic boost to Stockton

[00:00:00]What happening this weekend a major sports tournament is bringing people from across the world and an economic boost to the city of Stockton. The OTB Open is in town until Sunday. It's a professional disc golf tournament happening at Swenson Park Golf Course.

[00:00:15]According to Visit Stockton, the four-day event will bring around 160 athletes from across the globe and around 2,000 spectators. Visit Stockton says at least three local hotels are seeing a spike in overnight stays. The overall economic boost is expected to be around $500,000.

[00:00:30]Several local businesses at the nearby Lincoln Shopping Center are offering discounts to attendees. The first round today started at 7:40 in the morning with other events going on all day at Swenson until 7:00 at night. All of it is also being live streamed with people watching around the world.
