And as we mark the start of World Infertility Awareness Month, Northwestern Medicine is celebrating the birth of a 32-year-old woman's second child. Now, officials at Northwestern say Lisa Fassone was having post part postpartum hormonal issues after the birth of her first child back in 2022.
Blood work and an MRI revealed a tumor on her pituitary gland, which was impacting her fertility. She eventually had surgery last year to remove it. Now, she's celebrating the birth of her daughter Natalie, who was born healthy in February.
