>> Hey Amy, thanks very much for jumping on this call. I just wanted to check in and see how your journey has been with us from when you started to where you are now. And so that anyone that's watching gets a good vibe on how it is to work with us, and you know, the the type of results they can expect. So, um I guess to open it up, tell me a little bit about who you are, what you sell, and what you do.
>> My name's Amy. I run the Sweet Potato Kitchen. We sell organic frozen ready-made meals and deliver them around Victoria and New South Wales.
>> I love that. And they're really, if not bloody delicious meals. A few of our coaches have bought them from you, and they're just like, "This is the best food that I've ever tasted." So, not only do you have a cool business, you have perfect product. So, I love hearing about that. Um we've been working together for a little while now.
Uh what kind of state was your business in when you first joined?
>> Uh um pretty pretty bad state, I would say, because I just launched a Shopify store where I used to sell um through a third party before, and I didn't think about the customer journey of switching over and lost a lot of customers doing that.
>> Yeah. And so, what made you flick to be like, "I need to change it"? Like, what was the the the tipping point for you that you like, "This isn't working. I need to change"?
>> Just less and less sales, I suppose.
>> [laughter] >> Not making enough money. That's usually the reason why we say that.
>> Exactly. Exactly.
>> Right.
>> Cool. So, you were in this other business group, and then you decided you need to find a bit more of a specific uh community or training or whatever it was. How long were you looking for for someone before you jumped into our program?
>> Maybe a month or two. I still had time left on my other course. Like I had paid for a year. So, I was doing them concurrently for a while.
>> Yeah, nice. Okay. So, if we think about the time that we've been working together from, you know, boot camp and now you are in our elite mentoring program, what have been the key highlights uh so far being part of the program?
>> Well, so honestly, switching from the boot camp to the elite program was like the first one. I just having reorganized my week to have enough time and to commit to it was something was a goal that I had for a while. I was so I was so excited cuz I loved the boot camp and I just wanted more.
And then, the second one I think was when I I joined like just kind of before Black Friday.
So, I was really scrambling um to catch up with where everybody else was um and felt so overwhelmed with the with the workload and then it was just so successful for me.
And I had like record week after record week and it was just it was just all perfect timing and it was showing that showed me that everything that I had implemented um since joining the um the elite team was working and it just yeah, it that that was a real highlight for me.
I was very very thrilled.
>> You've been fortunate to be in both our programs. What was uh what was sort of the the biggest wins that you got in your boot camp and then when you moved to elite, what would you say the biggest win that you've had so far in the elite program?
>> Well, when I joined elite, I got the amount of sales in a week that I had in a month before.
If that makes sense. Yeah.
So, that was really that was really exciting.
>> So getting those results is awesome.
Would you say there's any Was there any uh what frameworks would you say or strategies that we gave you gave you the biggest >> I want to say all.
The foundational work I think was really important. Like all the templates and I love templates. I love clear, easy-to-follow instructions um that are related in a super digest way.
I have never um played around in the back end of Shopify before or used Clavio or Meta [snorts] Ads. And so every all the foundational work I think was really really important. um And then just individual campaigns that different things that we tried along the way um made huge impacts.
>> I love that. And when you when you talk about campaigns are you saying like your Meta Ads or your Clavio, where do you think the the one that's given you the biggest, you know, revenue results out of those?
>> Over time, Clavio.
um but instantane like instantaneous or fast results is definitely Meta Ads.
>> Love that. If you think back over the last uh 12 months and you've come across any roadblocks and working with our team, how have we helped you overcome those roadblocks? Is there any instances where you can think about those?
>> Um for me, when I hit roadblocks, I tend to go inwards.
And having the support of being able to reach out to like whoever I wanted, whenever I wanted, is so helpful and has really helped me personally overcome that um overwhelm um I've just sit yeah sitting in overwhelm to reach out and get support.
>> Yeah. And is there any like specific moment where you're like, "Oh my god, this is I'm I'm don't I can't go on. I need help." Is there anything that you were, you know, really struggling with that we helped you with?
>> Well, when I started scaling my ads earlier this year, I had really um really quick results and I kept selling out of all my products. So, even though um I had joined this course for e-commerce um support, you really helped me from an operational perspective to get through that time when I couldn't keep up with production. So, that was a that was a roadblock and I feel like we've Yeah, we worked through it to We have been working through it together.
>> And now you're in the world where it's like, "I need more. I've got production nailed. Give me more sales." And that's the world we're in now, which I love I love that one. So, um now with everything we've put in place, how do you think about your business moving forward? Where where where's your brain go? Like, what's what's the position for you?
>> Um I feel more settled um most of the time. And I feel ex- I feel excited about the short-term, medium-term, and long-term future of my business.
>> I love that. What would you say you're most proud of achieving uh since working together on your business?
>> I feel like all of it. Like, honestly, like I said before, I couldn't know how to use Shopify before.
You know, like from the small foundational things up until like you know, fast, hard growth spurts. I feel really Yeah, I feel really proud of all of it.
>> Yeah, you should be. You've uh you've definitely um built an amazing business. So, so when we first started working together, I remember your business it seemed like it was just you doing everything, cooking all the food.
Uh What does your business look like now versus what it used to look like before you started?
>> Yeah, so now I've got um two chefs, three kitchen hands, and I've just um employed someone to do the packing for me.
Um, we've been looking into 3PL as an option and I have expanded from just doing metro Melbourne to regional Victoria and just recently New South Wales, as well.
And I'm about to go on a holiday and the business is going to keep running.
Um, which I haven't done before. I've had people packing my orders, but production hasn't continued. So, this is um, yeah, a milestone.
>> I love that. So, you've not only been able to grow your business, you've been able to add more team members, you've been able to add more production and you're now able to step back and the business runs itself while you're on holiday. Like, that's a that's a big change from probably where you were thinking 12 months ago.
>> That's the plan.
But, I have I have got >> I think you're still a bit nervous by the looks of it, Emmy, that this is actually going to work.
>> No, um, um, I'm excited.
>> Love that.
>> I don't expect everything to be perfect, um, but I'm Yeah, I'm excited.
>> Super good.
So, maybe someone's watching this video and they're sitting on the fence like, "Oh, I don't know about joining ECom Academy. I'm not sure if it's the right fit for me."
Uh, what would you say to anyone that's sort of not sure whether they should take the leap?
>> Um, well, I think joining the boot camp first was perfect for me. It's not as Like, it's not a big financial outlay.
Um, and it's not a big time outlay, either. There's, you know, um, one call a week and you have access to so many resources. So, for me, that was a really good way to feel like to test it out and see, "Is this my place?" But, my advice would be do it.
>> Good. I love that.
>> Yeah.
>> Your advice is do it. That's super good.
Yeah, thank you so much, Emmy. Look, I'm really proud of what you guys what what you guys It's you guys now, but I'm really proud of what you've done. Like, what's amazing about you is we look at your business, we give you advice and you just go and do it and implement and that's why you've gotten the results.
So, uh, members of our community that actually, you know, put in our strategies and put in our tactics are the ones that get the results the fastest. And over the last 12 months, your business has completely transformed and it's not just what we do, it's just how you implement. So, well done on creating a great business and I want you to have a great holiday. Have fun. Your business will work beautifully in the background and come back and let's grow this thing even further.
>> Thank you, Brandon.
>> Thanks, Amy. Appreciate you.
