You mentioned sort of that idea of hope and hopelessness. Like I got that Yeah, because people had no hope. There was no reason for them to behave in a civilized manner anymore. It was like dog eat dog. Everybody was just looking out for themselves in the short term.
Totally. And that's what that was like the core idea. And and you know, kind of interestingly, as I was writing in COVID, it the world was really divided into two camps of people. There were like people who like hoarded toilet paper and all people who like checked in on their neighbors. You know, it's when when society gets stress tested that you kind of go, "What's our moral core?
What's our moral fabric? Who are we really under pressure?"
