The 'big three' is a dermatological approach to treating hormonal acne that combines three key treatments: spironolactone (an oral medication that regulates hormones), Botox/Jeuveau (muscle-tightening injections that reduce inflammation), and tretinoin (a topical prescription cream that addresses fine lines, wrinkles, and scarring). This comprehensive treatment regimen has been shown to significantly reduce or eliminate acne breakouts, even during hormonal fluctuations like menstruation.

day in the life of a mom of 2 (toddler + 9yr old) + how I cleared my adult acneHinzugefügt:
Now, tell him if it hurts.
I love it. I'm just playing with him outside for a little bit before I take him to school. I'm so tired. He was in my bed pretty much all night last night.
I'm going on a solid like 5 hours of sleep, and I need at least 6 to function. It's going to be a long day.
Cheese.
I love you. I love you. I am going to do my makeup because I can. I have free will, so I don't have to do this in the bathroom. I told you guys I've been in a bit of a funk lately. Getting myself ready has been a little bit more challenging. And a change of scenery helps me be more motivated to like get myself ready for the day. And when I get myself ready for the day, it's going to be more productive. First step is sunscreen, and if you haven't tried this one, this is a really good option. I've been using this for literally years. And a huge thanks to the FSA store for partnering with me today and to sending me this product. This is the EltaMD Skincare UV Clear SPF 46 tinted face sunscreen. They have this in a non-tinted version, too. It gives my skin like a really good even complexion while also still obviously protecting it from UV. But fun fact, sunscreen like this is actually FSA eligible. So, if you have an FSA and you're never using it, you're literally leaving money on the table. And there's so many eligible products that are out there that you probably are already using. I used to think the FSA store was only for like medicine and prescriptions. Also, look how beautiful this is on my skin. It literally just like melts into my skin, gives me a really nice glow while also evening out my complexion. I love this stuff so much. But anyways, the FSA store actually has over 2,500 different products. Let me just show you cuz I was actually shocked when I figured this out. Red light therapy, these little EMS pain relief devices. I love these.
Massage gun, pimple patches, electrolytes, ton of La Roche-Posay products. I love this brand. I use a ton of their products. Along with Supergoop.
If I'm not wearing this tinted sunscreen, I'm wearing the Glowscreen by Supergoop. You guys have probably seen me use that a million times before, but it's literally crazy how many of these items you can get through your FSA account. No guessing, no submitting receipts. You can simply just use your FSA card and check out. It is that easy.
So anyways, if you have an FSA account and haven't used it yet, here's your friendly reminder to use it before it does expire. You can go to fsastore.com/caitlin and or you can click the QR code right here on the screen as well. And you can start shopping. Also, make sure I link the store down below in the description box. Anyways, let's finish this makeup and get ourselves ready for the day.
>> [music] [music] [singing and music] [music] [music] >> My skin is glowing. Let me just say, my skin has came a long, long way. If you guys remember, in like my late 20s, I was really struggling with adult acne and like cystic acne all down my neck, all over like my hormonal areas. It was absolutely terrible. It was just like giant cystic acne that was so insanely painful to touch. It would not go away.
I literally tried everything. Obviously, my body was going through something because I was trying to get pregnant and couldn't, so I was having a lot of hormonal issues. Today, something that I really stand by and has like literally changed the game for me when it comes to my skin is utilizing the big three. I think that's what they call it in the dermatology world, but it's essentially spironolactone, which is an oral medication. And I've been taking it for gosh, I don't even know, almost 2 years now. And not to be dramatic, but it's literally changed my life. Like I don't get acne. Hardly ever do I get acne. And I'm on my menstrual cycle right now, and I don't have one breakout. Like it's literally crazy how much it's helped me.
Second thing in the big three is Botox, which I just got refreshed and it's starting to kick in. I do Jeuveau, not Botox. It's what works the best for me, but essentially it's all the same thing.
It's going to tighten the muscle. And three is tretinoin, and that is a prescription. It's a topical cream. Love it. I put it all over my face, all over my neck. Helps with like fine lines, wrinkles, scarring. I used to get like a lot of just like random tiny bumps, like just texture, and that's made it completely go away. But the big three is literally what changed my skin. And anybody I can, I'll tell about it because I've came a long, a long way. If you guys remember, my skin has came a very long way. Forever my favorite meal.
This is my cottage cheese, avocado, sweet potato, pickled red onions. Oh, and I got to get my seasoning. I do red pepper flakes, salt and pepper, and then a drizzle of hot honey, which I haven't done yet. But I'm going to eat this with some toast.
Okay, that's better, and I have my toast.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Feeling all black today because period.
And I'm kind of dying, I'm not going to lie. Just made pre-workout and my creatine, so that's what's in here. I've got my Promix electrolytes in here.
Trying to do better with hydration.
Random Oreos right here. These are not for me. These are for Scarlet's volleyball team. I'm bringing snacks this weekend. And I think we might be putting them together today. We're making some like cute little keychains.
I always like do the most because I enjoy this stuff. So, I'm definitely going a little above and beyond, but it's just honestly fun and it's like fun for Scarlet and I to do together. So, um we're going to make little like custom keychains for her team and put them on little bags and then fill them with goodies and pass them out at her game on Saturday. But it's like 1:00 right now, so we're going to go to the gym and do a back day. Compound movement of the day is deadlifts. So, let's go.
>> [music] >> Fun fact, my ringtone when I was in high school was The Taste of Ink by The Used.
The other one I remember was Bleeding Love. Those were like my two ringtones.
Don't ask. Teenage Dirtbag was another one. Not because I was one, but because I liked to date those ones. Good times, good times. Anyways, I just pulled up to the gym, and I'm about to take some Midol. I'm going to show you guys my cute little medicine organizer that I got for my car. Keep this in my car.
It's like my emergency pack of literally anything and everything that I would need. There's like Clorox wipes, tampons, hand sanitizer, allergy nose spray thingy, Band-Aids, hair ties. And then I got this little medicine organizer.
How cute is this? It has all of these different types of Oh, it's upside down.
Here's my Midol right there. Ooh, there's two left. Lucky me. Please make my cramps go away.
Got the question before, too, if I like change my workouts when I am on my cycle. And the answer to that is kind of. I mean, I listen to my body. If I don't like I'm not going to set PRs when I'm like day one, day two of my period.
Absolutely not. However, I'm still going to do my workout, and I'm still going to go to the gym because it's actually so good for you to work out while you're on your period. It's going to help raise your energy levels. It's going to help relieve cramping.
Um so, it's essential for me to continue my like normal workout schedule even when I'm on my cycle. Even if I don't want to. I know it's like going to help me in the long run, you know? So, we are here, and we're going to go get it done.
Okay.
Let's do a what Caitlin got in the mail today. Oh.
So, I told you guys we went to Iceland and Norway, and I'm trying to be proactive on getting my wardrobe because I don't have anything cold weather because we don't need it here in Phoenix. Like I don't own a coat.
So, I've been trying to like pay attention to sales and stuff because like right now is when everything's going on sale from winter. So, I'm trying to like buy things super discounted.
I don't know if I'm going to love it.
It's cute.
Okay, hold on. This is from Hollister, and this was like $20 for this puffer coat.
Originally $95. So, I'm going to bring this out. It's very important to get windproof, waterproof clothing.
Ooh, it's nice and roomy.
Do I look like I'm ready to go to Iceland? You do.
I actually think I really like it. It's a raincoat.
It's not even raining.
I know, but I got it on sale for when we go to Norway.
Okay, and this one we got MOTT'S FRUIT SNACKS.
MOTT'S WHAT A WHOLE THING OF GATORADE ZERO. Scarlet specifically requested white or blue.
So, we got So, we got white.
And then in this box, I'm hoping it's our little arts and crafts project we're going to do cuz I kind of want to sit down and do it right now.
All right. Oh, this is from Hollister.
This is another coat I got.
Another coat.
Ooh, okay.
This was like $10, and I thought it was really cute. It's polka dots. And it's just a little tube top, and it's reversible, too.
And then here is another coat. Holy What?
That's huge.
Well, it's going to be freezing.
I don't like freezing if I'm cold. I can't go outside. Ooh, this looks really warm.
I don't like the feeling of these coats.
I know, but it's going to be so cold. I really wanted to get a longer coat. I feel like that's what I'm going to be mainly wearing. I actually love this.
This is exactly what I was looking for.
Imagine it with like a really cute like taupe bodysuit, and then some moon boots, and then a cute little winter hat. It's going to be a vibe.
Originally, this coat is $160. I got it for $90. I almost got the pink one, but this one's like a total win. I really like this white one. Anyways, I'm going to put this stuff away and then do a little bit of laundry. Scarlet's got volleyball tonight, and I need to like get her stuff ready for her. So, um I'm going to get all of that prepared and then probably go sit at my computer, try to get a few things done, and then we'll head to her volleyball practice. I think Ty is probably going to grab Ben, but I need to like discuss that with him. He's in his office. He's been like working from home today. Kind of working, kind of not.
>> [music] [music] >> We are just heading home from volleyball. I've been there for the past couple of hours. We like go early in practice and then we stayed late in practice. Scarlet's really trying to to perfect her overhand serve. She's already made so much progress like starting this new league. It's not club, but it's like a player development.
Wait, Ty grabbed Ben and then he ended up meeting me at volleyball. And now I'm taking Ben home and Ty stayed back with Scarlet for a little bit to practice some more. I'm going to stop by Black Rock and grab a dirty pop. Scarlet really wanted one earlier and I told her no cuz we didn't have time. She did so good at practice tonight. I thought I could grab her one and surprise her for when she gets home. She really likes them and I do too. They're our favorites, so win-win.
Holy dinosaurs.
What are you up to do? Find the dinosaurs, I guess.
>> You're fighting dinosaurs? YES, BO IS STILL CALLING ABBY. BO, CAN YOU WALK?
Can you actually walk? I'm going to crush out. Okay, Scarlet's playing the VR. I don't know what she's playing, some dinosaur game. She was riding a roller coaster. Ben's over here.
Ben is eating up dinner tonight. We For dinner the kids had chicken nuggets, pizza, pineapple.
I think that was it. I just got in our little like DIY keychains that we're going to make for Scarlet's volleyball team, but it's not going to happen tonight. So, we're going to do this tomorrow and then I got in this really cute tissue paper. It's volleyball tissue paper. And then I got blue bags like little gift bags because their color is blue and those are not in yet.
They'll be in tomorrow. So, we're going to have to wait to put those together, but I'm going to wrap up this video so I can get him to bed, her to bed, me to bed. Sorry, I'm so tired. Just a little bit of work tonight, so it's not going to be very long night, thankfully. I need to catch up on some sleep. I actually love our new evenings. Like I love our volleyball evenings. It's so fun seeing Scarlet like get into her element and like finally find her thing and I want to do everything I can to help nurture that. So, so we're practicing a lot with her and it's honestly so fun. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in my next video. Bye.
