Fremont Multicultural Festival | #YAPNews | Season 11 | #MrStephenProductionsAdded:
Welcome. My name is Esa and we are here at the Fremont Lopez Multicultural Festival.
I am Miss Ivy girl Henderson. I am the principal here at Primmont Elementary School.
>> My name is Rosa Navarete, one of the intervention teacher here, but I'm also the ballet for teacher. I am Miss Humphre. I'm the lead art teacher and for the program here at Fremont Elementary and I'm also the visual arts teacher, the plus teacher and the uh tech cadre and a whole bunch of other stuff.
>> How does it feel to be here today?
>> Wonderful. Cuz I love this. It shows off our whole school and everything that we're about learning through the arts.
And it's the time for everybody to shine and enjoy and see what all the arts can do for people.
>> I am very happy. I am so excited. We have a lot of participation from our communities and from our students here at Greenwood.
>> Can you tell us your name and your title?
>> Uh my name is Mr. Razo and uh I am a teacher here at Fremont. I teach math, science, and photography. My favorite part of the event so far has got to be uh the music and the food.
>> There's so much good food and like good music and the art was beautiful.
We are celebrating every culture, every family in our community and acknowledging everyone's identity for who they are.
>> What are you doing here today?
>> I am running the photo booth.
>> Can you tell us about the photo booth?
>> I got my camera here. We got the flash and uh a backdrop and I'm able to uh save and share pictures via airdrop with people.
>> What was your favorite part of today?
>> All the performances and stuff and seeing all the kids smile and even past alumni to come here and help and be a part of it. It's a whole community event.
>> My favorite part of the day is seeing students, they feel that they could see their culture, their own culture through performances. My favorite part was seeing families here gather, celebrating and acknowledging other cultures and just having fun.
>> My favorite part was watching my cousin dance on the stage.
My name is Mr. Fan and then I am the math and messa teachers at Freeman school. Today I would like to show all the projects from the messa class. I just see right here say around the room this all the project is from the sixth rate seventh rate and rate and also they have the messa from after school. It's a fourth race.
>> Can you tell me about the first place prize?
>> So this is uh the moon base. So they take the idea like um in the future they will build a house in the moon and no clue on this just the cardboard only the drop test the weight is very very heavy they drop it so whenever they have to stay and survive we become the winner we beat like 80 school among to the LA unifi stock unifi to become the first place winner when the student to go around and find out um how the messa class work and then some student touch on the some project and ret try on it. I really love to see that because you know that moment to make a student have the motivation also curio city um to to know what they do in the future.
I just want to thank our wonderful career kids for doing such an amazing job today at Fremont. We teach with the arts in the arts and through the arts and we have come along base.
>> I would like to thank all the teachers, all the parents and all the students who did their best today to make this event successful.
