God cannot exist not as a matter of opinion, as a matter of logic and evidence. Let me show you fact one. God's attributes contradict each other. God is supposed to be both omnipotent and omnisient, all powerful and all- knowing. But these attributes are logically incompatible.

[00:01:14]Here's why. If God is omnisient, God knows the entire future with perfect certainty. Every event, every choice, everything that will happen. But if God knows the future with certainty, the future is fixed, determined, cannot be otherwise. What will happen is what God knows will happen. No alternatives. Now, if the future is fixed, can God change it? Can God alter what will happen? If God can change the future, then God didn't know the future. God's knowledge was wrong. Not omnisient. If God cannot change the future, then there's something God cannot do. Change what will happen. Not omnipotent. Either way, one of the attributes fails. You can have omniscience or omnipotence, but not both. Omniscience requires fixed future.

[00:02:09]Omnipotence requires ability to change future. These are mutually exclusive.

[00:02:15]God is supposed to have both. Therefore, God contains a logical contradiction and logical contradictions cannot exist.

[00:02:25]This is not about God's power being limited by human understanding. This is formal logic. A cannot equal nata. Fixed cannot equal changeable. Omniscience cannot coexist with omnipotence. The concept of God is internally contradictory. Therefore, God cannot exist. Fact two, the problem of evil is not an emotional problem. It's a logical impossibility.

[00:02:54]Three claims, God is omnipotent, can prevent any evil. God is omnibent, wants to prevent all evil, exists observable fact. These three cannot all be true.

[00:03:07]Formal logic. Any two imply the third is false. If God is omnipotent and omnibenevolent, God would prevent all evil. God can and wants to. Therefore, God would, but evil exists. Therefore, at least one of the first two claims is false. This is not a mystery, not a paradox, not something we're too limited to understand. This is a contradiction, a formal logical contradiction. Theology tries various escapes. Free will, greater good, soul building. None work, free will defense. God allows evil because humans have free will, which is valuable enough to permit evil.

[00:04:00]Therefore, not omnibvalent. also doesn't explain natural evil earthquakes, diseases which involve no free will.

[00:04:10]Greater good defense evil serves purposes we don't understand builds character creates opportunity for virtue. Response omnipotent God could achieve greater good without evil. If God needs evil to achieve good, not omnipotent. Also, gratuitous suffering serving no purpose clearly exists. Every defense admits the contradiction. Either God isn't all powerful or God isn't all good or evil doesn't exist. Pick one.

[00:04:44]Theology picks none. Claims all three.

[00:04:47]Logical impossibility. God is described try. Omni plus evil world cannot exist.

[00:04:54]Logically impossible. Fact three. The cosmological argument destroys itself through infinite regress. The argument.

[00:05:04]Everything that exists has a cause. The universe exists. Therefore, the universe has a cause. That cause is God. Problem.

[00:05:21]Nothing caused God. God is uncaused. God is eternal. God doesn't need a cause.

[00:05:29]But if God doesn't need a cause, why does the universe need a cause? If we're making exceptions, if we're saying this thing exists without a cause, why not make that exception for the universe?

[00:05:42]The argument says the universe can't be uncaused, but God can be. Why? What's the logical difference? There isn't one.

[00:05:52]This is special pleading. Either everything needs a cause or some things don't. If everything needs a cause, God needs a cause leading to infinite regress. If some things don't need causes, the universe can be one of those things. No God needed. You can't have it both ways. Either causation is universal, God needs a cause, or causation has exceptions, universe doesn't need God. The cosmological argument relies on the premise that everything needs a cause, then concludes with something that doesn't need a cause. The conclusion contradicts the premise. This is not profound theology.

[00:06:37]This is basic logical error. The argument defeats itself. God is uncaused. Cause is special pleading.

[00:06:45]Universe is uncaused is simpler. Aam's razor eliminates God. Fact four, God violates the principle of parsimony.

[00:06:55]Aams razor eliminates God as unnecessary entity. The principle don't multiply entities beyond necessity. Prefer simpler explanations.

[00:07:07]Every additional assumption is another potential failure point. Question: Does the universe require God as explanation?

[00:07:16]Answer: No. Physics explains the universe without God. Relativity, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics.

[00:07:25]These laws account for the behavior of matter and energy completely. We can trace cosmic history from big bang to present. Formation of atoms, formation of stars, formation of galaxies, formation of planets, origin of life, evolution of complexity. At no point is God required. The physics is sufficient.

[00:07:50]So what does adding God explain that physics doesn't? Nothing. Same observations, same predictions, same universe. God adds zero explanatory power. But God does add complexity. God is an enormously complex entity.

[00:08:09]Omnipotent, omniscient, omni benevolent, exists outside space and time, created everything. Complex entity that explains nothing additional violates parsimony.

[00:08:22]Worse, God requires explanation. If God exists, why does God exist? How does God exist? Where did God come from? Adding God replaces one mystery universe with two mysteries. Universe plus God. Not simpler, more complex. Parsimony says, "Eliminate unnecessary entities. God is unnecessary. Physics works without God.

[00:08:50]Therefore, eliminate God." This is not hostility to God. This is applying the same standard we apply to every other hypothesis. If it doesn't add explanatory power, eliminate it. God fails parsimony test. God is unnecessary.

[00:09:09]Therefore, God should not be posited.

[00:09:12]Fact five, the God hypothesis is unfalsifiable.

[00:09:17]Unfalsifiable hypotheses are not scientific knowledge. Falsifiability means the hypothesis makes predictions that could in principle be proven wrong.

[00:09:29]If those predictions fail, the hypothesis is false. Example, all swans are white is falsifiable. Find one black swan. Hypothesis disproven.

[00:09:41]Unfalsifiable hypothesis. Consistent with any observation. No possible observation could disprove it. Example, God works in mysterious ways. This explains any observation. Good things happen. God is good. Bad things happen mysterious ways. No observation could disprove God. This is not a strength.

[00:10:07]This is a fatal flaw. Unfalsifiable hypotheses tell us nothing about reality. They're compatible with any reality. Therefore, they don't constrain what we expect to observe. Science requires falsifiability.

[00:10:34]Tell us nothing. God is unfalsifiable.

[00:10:45]Either outcome confirms God. This means God hypothesis makes no testable predictions. Cannot be proven wrong.

[00:10:56]Therefore, not scientific knowledge. You might say, "God is beyond science.

[00:11:05]Science can't test unfalsifiable claims.

[00:11:08]But unfalsifiable claims aren't knowledge. They're just claims. Claims that tell us nothing about reality. If you can't test it, you can't know it.

[00:11:25]Unfalsifiability disqualifies God from scientific knowledge. God might exist, but we can't know it, can't test it, can't verify it, and if we can't know it, believing it is faith, not knowledge. Faith is fine, but don't call it knowledge, and don't claim it's proven. Fact six, consciousness requires physical substrate. God is pure consciousness violates this fact. Every instance of consciousness we observe requires a brain. Change the brain, change consciousness, damage hippocampus, memory fails, damage prefrontal cortex, personality changes, anesthesia, consciousness disappears.

Design argument was, I can't imagine how this arose naturally, therefore, God.

[00:18:12]Imagination failure is not evidence for God. Today we have complete explanation for biological complexity, evolution, genetics, molecular biology develop, mental biology, no gaps, no mysteries, no need for designer. Design argument is dead, killed by Darwin, buried by modern biology. Complexity is not evidence for God. Complexity is evidence for evolution. Fact nine. Finetuning is selection effect, not evidence for God.

[00:18:49]The argument physical constants are finely tuned. Slight changes would make life impossible. Such precise tuning suggests designer. examples cosmological constant strong nuclear force electromagnetic force all seem precisely tuned to allow life. This appears impressive until you understand selection effects. We can only observe a universe compatible with our existence.

[00:19:19]If the constants were different and life were impossible, we wouldn't be here to observe it. This is the anthropic principle. Our existence selects for observable universes. We don't observe life in compatible universes. Not because they don't exist, but because we can't exist in them to observe them.

[00:19:41]Analogy. You win lottery. You're shocked. What are the odds? Must be rigged. But someone had to win. From winner's perspective, seems miraculous from outside. Just random chance.
