[00:00:11]Today we're making uh neutral alcohol.

[00:00:15]Or I should say a neutral rum.

[00:00:18]We're aiming for 90%, maybe 89. We want some flavors left.

[00:00:24]Right now it's before we're starting producing.

[00:00:29]And we're in full reflux. Inside this column here is copper mesh packing all the way up to this point here.

[00:00:40]Where we have the so-called dephlegmator.

[00:00:43]Or the reflux condenser. Cool water is going in at the bottom.

[00:00:48]Coming out hot at the top.

[00:00:51]Right now the cooling water is so cold that the uh the vapor from the from the boiler can't pass up.

[00:01:02]Can't go through here so it gets stuck there.

[00:01:06]Meddles with those copper meshes and starts refluxing. Yeah, I can see it drops a little bit. We have some leaks.

[00:01:13]No worries.

[00:01:15]And you can see it inside here that we have quite a lot of reflux coming down again. And that's exactly what we want.

[00:01:24]We want the the different fractions to sec- to section themselves to find their place in this column.

[00:01:30]And then in about 15 minutes I will start cutting on the cooling water.

[00:01:35]Increasing a little bit on the heat going into the still.

[00:01:40]And start producing.

[00:01:42]Slowly getting the heads out and then increasing to get the hearts.

[00:01:49]Yeah. Full reflux, my friends.

[00:01:52]And as you can see from the normally so useless Thermometer I'm not quite high here at the top because none of the hot vapors are getting through.
