This video explains that societal overextension occurs when individuals and systems compensate for perceived inadequacies through excessive consumption, possession, and labor, creating a paradox where the harder people work in a contrived system, the more greedy and possessive they become, ultimately perpetuating systemic inequities like homelessness and corporate monopolization of resources.

POV: Your Absolutist Philosopher Driver Explains 'Overextension' #philosophy #criticalthinking #carAdded:
Never mind the fact that the monopolized empirical basis that you support in your daily everyday life actively undermines that. Because you think about it, like, "Oh, there's homeless people around the world." You don't think that has something to do with the fact that you're living a higher exuberant lifestyle? And this isn't an attack on a specific country, but it's like, "Oh, look at you with all these luxuries and this technology and and all, you know, you get your nice TVs and shows." And you don't think all those things come at the cost of, "Oh, but all these people around the world >> [clears throat] >> don't have homes because they those areas have been monopolized by big corporations that you support." Like, it's a pretty simple concept, but people play dumb, right? The middle class is the real villain. They play dumb and act like, "Oh, no, um we'll donate a little bit to charity."
Even though our entire society is the basis by which this inequity, this this issue, and again, this monopoly over nature is perpetuated by big corporations and stuff. So, there's no desire to remove the need of that. It's just like, that's hap- So, that's the whole irony is like, the harder working you are in a contrived state, the more greedy and possessive you are, and the more lazy you are that you're doing it all for reaction relief overextension uh kind of overcompensation for that, you know, subversive state. So, you know, the the fallacy like, "Oh, the minimalist being lazy or something."
That, you know, maybe they're just not greedy or selfish or possessive.
