[00:00:00]An Oregon judge is on leave after allegations of vulgar language at a Sunriver conference. A spokesperson for the Oregon Judicial Department confirmed a judicial fitness complaint was filed against Marion County Circuit Judge Channing Bennett. He allegedly used vulgarities to refer to a prosecutor and a fellow judge, both women, during a judicial conference last month. The state has hired an outside lawyer to investigate, and Bennett is taking some time away from the bench. His current term runs through December 31st, 2028, and he has served on the Marion County bench since 2013.
